- My brand new Austrian Feld Schuh finally arrived and I am very impressed!
The Austrian feldschuh aka the Austrian “paratrooper” aka Austrian light infantry boot is arguably the best all around boot on the market. I can’t think of another boot light enough for everyday civilian use yet rugged enough for combat, hiking, camping, working the catwalk or anything else you can throw at it. These boots are the only boots on the market that satisfied all of the features I desired from a proper boot. At a reasonably priced $230.00 USD they have to be the best value in the boot world.
The only caveat is they are pretty difficult to find, especially brand new.
However that seems to have changed for the time being. Kommandostore.com currently has a few left in stock.

Much love, KRT LYFE!
Thank you!

"Heereseigentum" means "Armyproperty" and it means those were actually meant for the austrian army and not to be sold privately. These in the video are the "fieldboots light" or "1er" as opposed to the "fieldboots heavy" or "2er". The heavies are horrible. we hated them ;-) And yes, they will last a lifetime if you care for them: cleaning and all. And no: those is the video are not cleaned. They must shine! ;-)
Why did you hate heavy boots?
@@FEINDKONTAKT. because they are heavy. they are like 4lbs heavier compared to the lights.
I’d like to see the aging processes of both boots please?
Aso the verdict on which boots are better?
Thank you!!!
I really want a pair of these shoes, but I guess I found out about them too late. I'll add email notifications to all the shops I could find with them and hope that they restock in my size. Also for reference, I believe KSBW is the manufacturer for the soles of the shoes and not the manufacturer of the shoes (their website displays various outsoles depending on the industry).
Love these boots. I have a couple used pairs. Very cool video. Kommandostore has some cool stuff. I have gotten a bunch of stuff from them. Great video.
Nice to see another video from you!!! Keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
My Man does it again !! Super cool
Thanks again!
I found your other video about doc Marts first, and posted that classic combat boots is better in everyway, glad turned out you already found it out.
Managed to get some brand new from austria, looks like the branding has been removed on mine, I guess the military spec ones shouldn't be sold by retailers in Austria
Damn these look sick
They are awesome medium duty boots! I highly recommend them.
I bought these because of your videos on them.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy mine.
Great review brother ! I’m curious if there is a steel or composite toe in this boot? Thanks :)
Not that I know of unfortunately
Thank you. Great info and they look real nice. 👍
I presume they are full grain leather and not corrected grain ?

These look great. And I'd be much more likely to buy a brand-new pair vs surplus boots.
However, I wonder how they stack up against the US made combat boots from the 90s? The ones made by Altama and McRae.
I recently ordered a pair of McRae jungle boots, ideally for the hot and humid weather. However after receiving them I felt the quality wasn’t near as good as the Feldshuh. For starters the pair I received had a lot of loose strings on the outside stitching. Where the sole meets the upper had grind marks all around the boot, I’m guessing this is from them finishing the sole during production. The overall QC was definitely lacking IMHO, so for $200.00 USD I returned mine. I am much happier with my Feldschuh. I don’t have any experience with Altama boots. When I was in the military I wore the Corcoran Marauder boots and the Nike SFB boots. I really enjoyed those boots in uniform. Not certain I would wear either in civilian life. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Those boots look so sturdy !!! Reza are enjoying F1 in 2023 ?
These boots are amazing! This F1 season has been interesting in some respects. We definitely have a lot of work to do if we are going to be competitive against RB. They actually earned the title this year so good for them.
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this review it’s brilliant. if you can find the time, I was hoping you might be able to help me with a suggestive sizing
I’m normally a size 42, would you say that these are true to size or because they’re a combat boot they fit bigger to accommodate for extra socks and what not?
I went true to size for me in European shoes.
For some reason I’m American shoes I wear a 42 but in European shoes 41. With these boots in size 41 for me I can wear thick wool socks or thin wool socks with a different insole. The leather insole is great for thicker socks. In my experience.
@@KRTLyfe thank you so much for taking the time to respond. It’s incredibly helpful! Provided you have time for 1 more thing.
I wear a 42 in Hugo boss and my foot measurement is 11inches - based on what I’m hearing from your experience a 42 should be perfect?
Again - truly, thank you! Keep up the great work.
@@damienbrown497generally I would recommend to take 43. Just put one additional insole if necessary. Original leather insole is not so good. And it is better to wear cushion sole socks for them.
these look great do you think kommando store is a reliable place to get boots and stuff?
I did not have any problems with my order, many others have had good experiences as well.
Can you do a vid on boot repair
I could but I’m no expert. I can tell you from experience in my city, be very careful with the cobbler you choose.
Where do you get your jeans? Also do you get them tailored?
I wear Amazon Gingtto jeans exclusively for the last 4-5 years at this point. I know skinny isn’t cool at the moment but it’s still my favorite look.
I get them hemmed or cut them my self other than that they are the only jeans I’ve found that fit me perfectly out the box with little modifications.
Oh and I’ve tried dozens upon dozens of alternatives across all price points from $200+ down to $15 and the Gingtto is still my favorite for numerous reasons.
Dope I’ll check them out. I also have a recommendation for you because I know you’re always on the look out for quality stuff. Costco has/had these Peruvian Pima Cotton T-shirts for $12 that are imo better than the wool and prince shirts. They are currently out of stock but you can get them from resalers if you really want to check them out. They do come in black!
Also, would love to see a full wardrobe video if you felt inclined to do one.
should i size down? i wear size 43 on leather shoes normally, 44 on sneakers like nike, adidas, etc.
