Re-introducing the "Meme Boots" - Austrian Feldschuh Leicht
For our more dedicated customers, these need no introduction. The misnamed "paratrooper boot" was a staple of our catalog until the surplus supply of them started to dry up after Austria implemented a "take home" policy for how good their boots are.
What we have here aren't remakes or replicas. They're the real deal, made by one of the same companies that pumps out boots to the Austrian army to this day. They still make these, it's just been hard to get them for the everyman.

Etsy is your best bet as they seem to have a fair amount of independent euro sellers that pick these up for cheap 0:14 locally from people finishing their compulsory yet short military service. I recently got brand new unused surplus pair for like 50$ bucks minus the shipping.
Im a proud owner of a milsurp pair from when they first started selling them. They are built like a tank and strangely comfy. 10/10 would recommend.
i have a pair of french para boots going on 45' years old and my cobbler has restored them 8' times and they still hold up and look good

The Austrian Army actually does not allow you to wear these during training, they are only meant for barracks duty

@@Hokum6 plot twist: the boot you’re wearing for field duty and training in the Austrian army is even heavier and stiffer. The „Kampfschuh Acht“ or „Zweier Bock“ is literally so heavy; that it broke my foot during humping. I’m so glad that they’re replacing it, felt like wearing sabatons
@AEIOU05 I have Völkl dated 2015 and they have PU-coated leather, so they do not soak leather fat to make them softer:(
Does all these boots have the same type of leather? Or it depends of year and producent?
Was there ever a point where they did? They seem so well made for an indoor boot.
15 years and mine still look almost brand new. Also, compared to UK MoD issue, those are incredibly light-weight - and yeah, they form a perfect mold when worn for a long time.

Had the so calles "2er" which are even more durable and they lasted for over 25 years - will buy a pair of new ones - the factory is just a 2 hour drive away

Nonsense, there are NO Austrian paraboots! All Austrian armed forces boots are made by Firma RUKAPOL ( and they don't make these).
