Their comparative difference between performance levels across not only different classes, but also different tracks while using the same settings is nothing short of frustrating. @r4y0__ That's a question you should ask yourself! But when I got it, there was a special paddock pass, that gave all dlc, and future dlc. Don't think that's an option now. The paddock pass also made you a beta tester.
This is a great looking game on my RTX 4080. The FFB is great on my R5. BUT ... there is no real career mode. A lot of peeps need a single player mode. They sell twice as many copies. And the DLC model, like AC etc where every track is 10 bucks, is a joke. They all need to rethink their strategies. Or they will always be minority sims.
I like the game but hate the fact that any content they're adding nowadays is 5$. I'm all fine with paying 5 bucks now and then but i'm not fine with paying 5 bucks for every single update.. it used to be a 50 dollar game but has turned into a 120$ + game if you want everything 😒
The madness engine is not old compared to every other current sim. Its better and newer than all of them. Only UE5 is newer. ACC is utter trash in VR because the engine is trash in VR. And ACC is boring asf.

I can play ams2 on full 100% with 3120px per eye (HP Reverb G2) with almost maximum Settings, 16xAA, with my rtx 3090, but only with 60hz, it is ok, perhaps 90hz possible with RTX 4090. But I will wait to RTX 5090 and then even raising up the resolution for even more sharpness and with new OLED VR goggles it will be amazing. For now, everything lower than full 100% resolution the game looks not so impressive, that why i prefer 60hz instead of 90hz
Nice! So you would say 60fps with 3090 and a jump to 90fps with the 4090? or even more? I want to know if I only could Upgrade with the change to 90fps or even raise up my Settings, too (activating post processing Filter, or racing at night/rain then possible (my 3090 sucks really and drops me down to 20-30fps then) @aubreycolemanracing
@mh7711 yeah, even the 3090 struggles with the resolution it has to produce. I ran the 3090 same max graphics, but to obtain 90hz, I ran about 70% scaling. It's still sharp on the hp reverb g2. But the 4090 can really push the pixels. I play lots of other games, and the 4090 is the only gpu that let's me play 120hz on my 4k oled, with many games. 90hz is the sweat spot for vr.
@@aubreycolemanracing okey thank you! ok so you preferred 70% scaling and 90fps. i Do it the other way, 100% scaling wothopt post processing Filter bomjt most on max, because I love fine details in the far, but only 60fps and only Day Light without rain/Lightbeams of the cars. i would love to see how New titles will perform in future, assetto corsa 2, Rennsport and so on :) the future will be great. Do you use sharpening trick for ams2? Editing only two Lines in the Config file? that gives me a more clear and sharper picture, very good improvements without any Performance Hit. let me know! @aubreycolemanracing
I have tried so much to enjoy this sim, I've purchased various DLC, spent hours tuning and going around tracks and been blown away by the fidelity in VR but I still can't get on with the tire model. It's just so unrealistic and alien that trail breaking doesn't work and you have to essentially drift to be fast. Hopefully they nail the physics one day but until then I just can't enjoy the sim as much as others.
I was enjoying your video until you started knocking on the Madness engine. Clearly you don't know a thing about engines and is just regurgitating the same crap that iracing fans and those that haven't tried this title spit out: that the game sucks due to the engine. Then you go on to say how great it is graphics wise and how it is the best for VR. You can't have both ways. Either it sucks or it's fantastic, which is my opinion of this sim. I play it in VR and I have played ACC in VR and it's a joke. So do you still think the Madness engine is crap or do you plan to continue regurgitating what your hear on the internet? For those interested in the opinion of someone that actually have tried several titles (except for iracing, I'm not a sucker), please disregard all the stupidity you hear about the Madness engine. AMS2 wouldn't be the amazing sim it is had it gone with a different engine. Want proof: try it.
Never did I say the engine sucked, or that it's crap I just said it's old. And yes, the graphics still look great, and like I said, the best VR experience. You've lost the plot mate, totally miss interpreted what I said. Go and have a cold shower mate!

If u want to buy this game do u really need all the dlcs??
@r4y0__ That's a question you should ask yourself! But when I got it, there was a special paddock pass, that gave all dlc, and future dlc. Don't think that's an option now. The paddock pass also made you a beta tester.
what about career mode?
@rinnn1473 There are mods for that on RaceDepartment.
Now it's time to stop making content and focus in fixing the Multiplayer....then AMS2 is no1
I haven't played ams2 in a long time. Raceroom felt more realistic even without ams2 graphics in my opinion.
You should try it now, it's come a long way.
great game, but i recomend people to wait till they do discounts and buy all the dlcs haha
2020 game and still no Multiplayer.. Iracing had it figured 15 years ago, appearantly dev's can't copy things that are already proven to be good.
Hi, I just tried the demo, Hope the actual game is better because the demo is crap. Had to drive the Polo around like a old lady to stop front wheels sliding out. I need better graphics for VR, than Assetto Corsa or Dirt Rally 2.
@Rob-un6pj maybe wait for the 1.6 update coming out soon, then see if you like it then. 1.6 patch completely changes the sim.
@@aubreycolemanracing Thanks for reply, I was wondering if it was just the demo though. Maybe an old demo. I'll give it a go, just for VR visuals.
@Rob-un6pj the vr visuals are amazing in ams2.
@@aubreycolemanracing Your right there. Not much to do to get it looking good. Enjoying the racing. I personally think the Demo under sells this game. They should use a better handling car in the Demo, they'd sell more.
@Rob-un6pj your not the first person to dislike the demo!🤣
still feels like the tyres are made of mashed potato
Unfortunately the FFB and feeling of the car is still crap, cars feel floaty and the braking is so far off of a ‘real car feeling’, there’s been so many updates and still no closer it’s a shame
It's a shame you can't enjoy it, like many others.
For me FFB is perfect on Moza R5 DirectDrive(if you config it correct)... its not a trainSIM.😉
I have a T818 and the FFB in AMS2 is amazing
TLDR: Yes
is madness a dated/old engine? lol. the second time you told that, i quit the video. FYI, unreal engine 4 that kunos managed to compine with ithe inhouse physics engine (not an easy task ant not an ption for engines like ISI and/or madness) nad use ONLY for graphics, wather effects FX and sounds in ACC released 10 years ago, plus its very hungry for hardware (in ACC).
Sure thing!🤣
I can play ams2 on full 100% with 3120px per eye (HP Reverb G2) with almost maximum Settings, 16xAA, with my rtx 3090, but only with 60hz, it is ok, perhaps 90hz possible with RTX 4090. But I will wait to RTX 5090 and then even raising up the resolution for even more sharpness and with new OLED VR goggles it will be amazing. For now, everything lower than full 100% resolution the game looks not so impressive, that why i prefer 60hz instead of 90hz
I already run max settings with 100% res scaling with the 4090, and it still runs 90hz. I upgraded from the 3090, and was blown away!
It is quite different to others.
Dirty, dirty, dirty online racing, even with a rating system.
I bought 1.5 after hype and played it for 20min and uninstalled, can't be compared to acc physics...not even close. Sadly because it has fun car in it
20 min, and you uninstalled!
@aubreycolemanracing I don't hate or dislike ams2 but the feeling of the braking and such gave a very sluggy feeling. Wasn't anything for me
@@snippidippi Read my comment on this video and you'll understand why you had that feeling.
20 mins isn't enough to decide on any sim.
I find ACC handling incredibly dull. AmS 2 may not be perfect but a lot more fun to drive.
Don’t buy it yet.. looks fantastic but still feels rubbish
For you maybe, but many love it, and the overwhelming positive reviews tell the story. I'm glad I can have fun with all sim titles.
@@aubreycolemanracing I’ve bought the full DLC to support development, really hope they sort it out - I come back every update to check
