Game changing is not a buzz word this time, especially for gamepad players. First time since I bought the game two years ago that it feels good to drive without unhealthy amount of tweaking. It is so much more similar to how ACC, R3E and most other sims feel on gamepad. Thanks Reiza !
If you can do this with a controller more power to you. Last time I used one was with Gran Turismo 2. A wheel would enhance your experience quite a bit.

As far as the gt3 stuff, they’re everywhere 😑 The hypers, they’ll not have the complete system as does LMU so no interest there. I’m looking for stuff as close to rl or historic as I mentioned
I never liked ams2s driving and thats what brought me away so much before but with all this details and new AI im sure i can enjoy it now and defiantly looking forwards to it, even if i still dislike the driving perhaps the immersion may keep me coming back, as well as the amount of racing cars included
It looks like this has not make it to the live patch yet even though it was not mentioned that it wouldn't. We are double checking and probably cutting that part out! -Michel
Ams2 looks great and sounds great... but the cars feel numb and disconnected/floating above the road. Still needs a tonne of physics work compared to the rest of the sims on the market.
@OverTake_gg yes, I spent 2 hrs last night trying all the new content. FFB isn't the problem, ai have a Simucube 2 pro the game is inconsistent. You can brake at the exact same spot with same pressure and get different results every lap. There is zero road feel the cars float and bounce around. The head movement on cockpit cam is bad even with it set to zero. It's a great looking game but has a looong way to go to compete with ACC, iRacing and LMU.
i love ams, recently bought this week and im having a blast, before i was only playing acc but i think im switching to ams2. idk i feel more conected to the car and overall ffb that the game provides, in acc no matter what i do in the setting it always feels a bit odd.
When you're in the pits and have engine starts set to manual, simply switch on the ignition but don't use the starter. You can start driving once first gear is engaged, then the ICU will kick in automatically 🙂
yea that would be cool, its the part of the update I was most excited about. 1.6 was released on my b-day yesterday so Christmas would be a nice gift as well
I’ve already played a couple hours of Sebring and Road Atlanta and they’re both great. Cars still slide too much but it’s enjoyable to drive, especially in VR.
I know GM went on about it... but the new UI is a step backward. It looks like a mobile game. The new physics do feel better, and you can come unstuck a lot quicker if you make a mistake. FFB feels more communicative and involving too, even the Caterhams feel like they are on tarmac, instead of ice, as they have done until now. AI does seem better at getting around tricky spots better but they do still seem to get stuck in trains from my limited play time. Hoping LFM integration works well.
Breakthrough? AMS2 had few peers already and the game 1.6 adds even more layers of excellence for those willing to give it a serious go. Unless of course your GamerMuscle and you just hate the game for no reason.
1.6 is a joke: They couldn't even do the triple screen settings right. Not only is it not working and applying entered values. You also have to restart the game in order to have the changes applied. Never has been a Sim, never will be a Sim. And don't get me started with the physics!
Love the update, but multiplayer is a pain in the ass with the sim. I get bored without real people racing. They need some sort of matchmaking, i want to hop on and race.
Err..you do know there were 2k players on LFM last night playing this title? Have you been hiding under a rock? It's well known LFM is now running AMS2.
I don't know if we should consider it as drama, there were 2-3 tech, timing and human errors leading to a livestream that was far from perfect, but drama? :) -Michel
I dont get it, everytime i i try to race on this game its dead, hardly any players. Am i missing something or does everyone just like racing with the AI?
Its often puzzled myself. I usually get good races, just not many people. I think its a case of "no ones online so I'll play ACC until more people start playing". If more played multiplayer then more people would play multiplayer. If that makes any sense.
Still a huge discrepancy between cars Lambo GT3 at imola in good conditions feels like it’s on ice, take the same car to Sebring in same conditions and it’s fine Always the killer with this game, one car /track combo mitigates the slidey feeling and others feel terrible.
Dude, this game will never be fixed. Ever. 3 developers for a sim racing game is just not possible. This will be forgotten like all the other gamechanging updates
Quick reminder for anyone going into these videos, this guy has never driven these cars. Neither have I, neither have you. WE have no frame of reference. Trust the PHDs and plasterers. They know more than you, they do it for a living, you don't. 99.9% of racing sim opinions are literally worse than useless
Did I say anything about their handling compared to real life? I talked about how they feel in different sims and how the GTP felt before the update. I would never judge their realism compared with rl, because I cant in this case. -Michel
I have to say game 1.6 is a big disappointment in my option. Really feel crappie. Try the demo first .....wish i would have. Do not take advise from other sim racers because i don't think most have driven a lot of cars. Driving this game reminded me of my karting days going slow on a dirt track. It is really bad.
Do you have issues setting it up? What model do you have? Have you tried generic dd, then assign steering and then calibration? AMS2 is sometimes not super straight forward with the settings but any wheel should work technically, its direct input api. -Michel
AMS2 is currently in Steam Charts "Top 5" trending (#3 at time of posting) with biggest player growth (+412.9%) in last 24 hours. Tyre data is still a bit too forgiving... But for casual racing it is the best in the moment imho
Awesome swaeater👽
I never liked ams2s driving and thats what brought me away so much before but with all this details and new AI im sure i can enjoy it now and defiantly looking forwards to it, even if i still dislike the driving perhaps the immersion may keep me coming back, as well as the amount of racing cars included
When???
Its live! -Michel
7:18 - In version 1.6.3 I don't have AI speed up and slow down sliders. Is this the case for everyone?
It looks like this has not make it to the live patch yet even though it was not mentioned that it wouldn't. We are double checking and probably cutting that part out! -Michel
@@OverTake_gg Thank you for answering
Don't cut that part out. Tell them to add it into the game!
@@benjiesau1497 Yep we are asking!
I am not seeing the slider for cornering and brake skill, is this a beta version of 1.6?
It seems like this is not yet in the live version indeed. -Michel
I haven't played the game in a while. Have they made an actual career mode, or is it still custom?
No career mode. -Michel
what a game, truly one of the best doing it
Is it me who cannot stop ams2 cars?
Im keen yo see how 1.6 is
I hope it will come to the consoles
Why is career mode greyed out
Ams2 looks great and sounds great... but the cars feel numb and disconnected/floating above the road. Still needs a tonne of physics work compared to the rest of the sims on the market.
Have you tried to dial in the ffb a bit and warmed up the tyres properly? -Michel
It's a great looking game but has a looong way to go to compete with ACC, iRacing and LMU.
i love ams, recently bought this week and im having a blast, before i was only playing acc but i think im switching to ams2. idk i feel more conected to the car and overall ffb that the game provides, in acc no matter what i do in the setting it always feels a bit odd.
how do you do that? 4:54
When you're in the pits and have engine starts set to manual, simply switch on the ignition but don't use the starter. You can start driving once first gear is engaged, then the ICU will kick in automatically 🙂
@yhaustein38 thx, you are the best!!
@@valentinrosario8678 No problem, enjoy the sounds and sights of the update 👍
🎉🎉🎉🎉 great!!
my moza r3 dont work wy ?? flix fix this raiza
HOW ABOUT ACURA ARX-06?????
When is career mode gonna be unlocked, 6 months from now?
Lul
Expect something between 3 months and 1.5 years. They are not very big studio and like to make things really good and not rushed.
We got the September update on the verge of December. Any other questions?
Maybe a Christmas gift... Hope is free 😅
yea that would be cool, its the part of the update I was most excited about. 1.6 was released on my b-day yesterday so Christmas would be a nice gift as well
I’ve already played a couple hours of Sebring and Road Atlanta and they’re both great. Cars still slide too much but it’s enjoyable to drive, especially in VR.
I need your jumper. 😂🙃
They sell them at Hollister still I think (no ad, haha) -Michel
15.8GB is a huge update.
Still needs cars from the 1930-50s
I can’t seem to bind my pedals and wheel, so can’t even play the game.
What are you using? -Michel
Make a custom ffb as standart for 1.6 pls
Would be a nice gesture!
@@ledzep2879 it doesnt have to make sense for u!
cheers copin!
Temped, but it really depends on multiplayer population. Offline racing does not excite me nearly as much as MP
Breakthrough? AMS2 had few peers already and the game 1.6 adds even more layers of excellence for those willing to give it a serious go. Unless of course your GamerMuscle and you just hate the game for no reason.
Love everything about the update except for the formula gen 2 sound. Was hoping they’d update it as it sounds terrible
Now i can delete LMU 🎉
1.6 is a joke: They couldn't even do the triple screen settings right. Not only is it not working and applying entered values. You also have to restart the game in order to have the changes applied. Never has been a Sim, never will be a Sim. And don't get me started with the physics!
Let me double check the triples thing 🤔 -Michel
Love the update, but multiplayer is a pain in the ass with the sim. I get bored without real people racing. They need some sort of matchmaking, i want to hop on and race.
Va jouer à Forzamotorsport alors, pfff, quelle immaturité...
Err..you do know there were 2k players on LFM last night playing this title? Have you been hiding under a rock? It's well known LFM is now running AMS2.
now thAT LAMBO is leaving wec we need aston martin asap
Is reiza are still angry with you ?
They never were! -Michel
@@OverTake_gg even with the stream drama ?
I don't know if we should consider it as drama, there were 2-3 tech, timing and human errors leading to a livestream that was far from perfect, but drama? :) -Michel
It broke the mods i use but i dont care. The lmp2 and super trofeo mod is now no longer needed so
I dont get it, everytime i i try to race on this game its dead, hardly any players.
Am i missing something or does everyone just like racing with the AI?
@@waynemcmurray8405 I think it the AI thing
When lfm is put into the game, you will be able to get slot more races.
My group mostly races AI in AMS2
Either AI or private leagues, or LFM since today.
Its often puzzled myself. I usually get good races, just not many people. I think its a case of "no ones online so I'll play ACC until more people start playing".
If more played multiplayer then more people would play multiplayer. If that makes any sense.
good content update but it still feels like you are driving a hover craft
Still a huge discrepancy between cars
Lambo GT3 at imola in good conditions feels like it’s on ice, take the same car to Sebring in same conditions and it’s fine
Always the killer with this game, one car /track combo mitigates the slidey feeling and others feel terrible.
Dude, this game will never be fixed. Ever. 3 developers for a sim racing game is just not possible. This will be forgotten like all the other gamechanging updates
Ah the usual trolls who have probably not even tried it. Go hide under your bridge, everyone else is having fun with this update.
I concur.
this new update has changed it from being the best game i have ever played to being one of the worst, how do i get back the previous version?
@@RST9413 garbage game i want realistic game like it was before
Quick reminder for anyone going into these videos, this guy has never driven these cars.
Main issue so far, every setting lost for wheel, no FFB and triple screen setup completely reset after the update.
100 € for a game who dont take FANATEC WHEEL
Do you have issues setting it up? What model do you have? Have you tried generic dd, then assign steering and then calibration? AMS2 is sometimes not super straight forward with the settings but any wheel should work technically, its direct input api. -Michel
@@aznbenmaz 100€ what are you talking?
I bought a key for 20 dollars
Lol I paid$6 a few days ago
AMS2 is currently in Steam Charts "Top 5" trending (#3 at time of posting) with biggest player growth (+412.9%) in last 24 hours. Also reached new all-time concurrent player peak of 3,662 (a number Raceroom and rF2 has never reached, LMU did only during it's launch days but fallen way off since). Keep it up Reiza!
rf2 is another level can t be comparable with ams. RR is still better in most of ways than ams. AC is the best sim all around.
