The duration stays the same after you set the first way point, then zoom in or out set 2nd way point, then hit start. Maybe if you are doing more then 2 way points.
You can't add duration on point A. Duration will be set on the succeeding points, like in your case, it's point B. You notice nothing happened when you set it to 4 secs, the duration is still 10secs because that's the time duration you set on point B.

Officially it does not say so, but the app works fine.
