The QN90D looks like a solid gaming television. Especially for people who need more than two HDMI 2.1 ports. I wonder how it looks side-by-side against the LG C4 OLED which some gamers might consider and is in the same general price range?

Usually you need a service remote to turn off local dimming completely on Samsung TV's. That's how my Q70R is. There is no way to do it with the included remote.

Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) is a feature of HDMI that allows users to control multiple devices connected via HDMI with a single remote. CEC can be used to control up to 15 devices, including a TV, soundbar, set-top box, and Blu-ray player.
Im watching right now on a 5-6 y/o Sony x930e which was highly rated at the time. It’s still an amazing tv and has that depth or 3d look to it. I know Samsung and LG have improved their processing. How does this tv stack up to Sony’s processing?

Hey Tech Steve, just stumbled over your review. You were asking if it's possible to turn off Local Dimming on this TV. It is actually possible, but not for the average user, because Local Dimming can be turned off only through the Service Menu.

@TT_LIFTS i understand, when you review a lot of different models it’s virtually impossible to remember all the screens and performance. I typically use these TVs for 3 days max and on to the next video. Someone who works in a store see them every day for months if that makes sense. That’s why I rely on a comparison so i get a refresher

I've got the LG GX in my master bedroom, but I will probably end up getting an 85" QN90D for my great room later this year. That said, my biggest concern is the viewing angle. The NUMBER ONE report or complaint: All the professional reviews are reporting a very narrow viewing angle, meaning if you are watching the tv off to the side, the tv will look like crap. So, I am very concerned about this, but I'm also concerned more reviewers are not showing video of off axis viewing and discussing this issue. Can you do a second video addressing this concern??? Hi, Can you look at something wich i could not seem to get a grip on with samsung smart tv's wich i keep seeing(most often with destiny on xbox(even on xsx)) and that is a type of broken up ghosting arround most often the motion tracker hud element and it's most visible when looking arround and even when in your ship you are waiting to go to something in more brightly colored backgrounds like the deserts of mars. I like Mini Led TVs but unfortunately I don't know why Samsung insists so much on these IPS panels almost every year for the 55 inchs which has much blooming.
Ive been looking for a tv upgrade. Preferably a 65" with minimum 3 hdmi inputs. My main concern is i live in an area that (in the past) i have not had an issue picking up local stations via air attenna atop my home in the past but i bought a LG 55UN7300PUF and now have seasonal issues picking up those same stations. I did some research and learned about Atsc 3.0 tuners. Will purchasing a tv with ATSC 3.0 tuner help pull in these stations better than a ATSC 1.0 tuner? If so, does anyone make a Qled tv with the ATSC 3.0 tuner or are they only available in OLED's?

I plan to use this tv pairing to ps5 and a PC with a nvidia 4070 super, so i guess if this tv has nvidia gsync compatibility and if it supports 1440p natively, cause i read on rtings review that at 1440p on nvidia the tv upscales to 4k. On ps5, Xbox series and amd graphics cards there is not issues on 1440p native signals. Does anybody test this tv paired to nvidia 4000 series? Thanks.

If you want to do the right comparison it’s not the QN90D but the QN95D equivalent to the Bravia 9 . The Bravia 7 is the equivalent of a he QN90D . Thanks ✌🏼

I hate centred stands, really takes the beauty of a thin bezel tv away. Wide center stands and legs are the best and imo minimal, but big center stands like the one in the vid are eyesore.

No broadcast doesn’t support 144Hz only 60Hz. As mentioned 144Hz is for pc gaming with a $1000 video card using vrr

The 43 inch I have has a semi gloss screen. I can see details in reflections of bright objects.

Unfortunately, I don’t have every TV. The Bravia 9 is barely in stock, i will probably want have this one at the time if I even get a Sony loaner

Is there a new feature and technology released that I am unfamiliar with? What is this Dobie atmos & Dobie vision? I must have the old version of this television then and not the 2024 updated release because mine only has Dolby audio & Dolby vision! 😉 😂 🤣 just kidding but you did keep saying it wrong which I found hilarious but what a great video and keep up the great work unfortunately most retailers don’t give you this amount of information that is absolutely necessary and needed before deciding what television to buy all retailers do most of the time is give you the basics which just isn’t enough to make a decision whether the TV is right for you or not I am quite tech savvy and even I get a bit confused at times because you can get two televisions that are pretty much almost identical in every way apart from a huge price difference of around £1000 or $1600 approximately and you are paying all the extra money for a feature that probably isn’t even necessary for Home use anyway
