For an engineer I can verify Burn-in is very real on OLED and it's biggest achilles heel and can still happen up until at least 2023. It's the one problem that LG is working night and day to resolve, but it won't go away, they are also looking into new alternative technologies in a few years from now. Around 1 in 10 suffer burns after normal use. QD Oled is even worse for burn in due to the increased brightness level. This is painful.
@@brianbirtwell7213 OLED are meant to enjoy the highest picture quality for 3 years.. & then sell it into used market at 50% less.. Then buy a new version of OLED . This cycle should happen in every 3 years
Do you work in display tech or you just have a random engineering degree and watched bunch of videos on UA-cam to acquire this knowledge? Just curious lol
Burn in is 100% inevitable and nothing can be done to prevent it ( right now that is, all we can do is prolong the issue but you will burn something in at some point ). Honestly dont care about that though as its the best on the market right now. Mini LED is nice and I have one but it does not come close to my QD OLED at all even in HDR where some think mini LED is better ( its not at all trust me )
Really useful, thanks. Im looking to get a new tv but still not sure whether to go OLED or QLED. this video certainly gives me more information. thanks
