I agree definitely need a Passport 2 with Android. We need to start a pension for them to do that seriously. That Passport was something special. If only they gave it Android.
I just changed from my Passport to the KEYOne. The Passport is easier to use and it´s laid out more easily... But already after a few days, you will notice that the KEYOne is the better phone (technically)... I still love the Passport though and believe that it´s the best phone!
Just bought the KEYone yesterday and no complaints so far. However, I only bought it due to my Passport not reading my Sim card anymore, but still I can tell you I take my passport wherever I go.
You are a good Blackberry geek. It's rare to find young people these days who even know what a Blackberry is. Especially because in Japan where I live, only companies know Blackberry. The general public has no knowledge of Blackberry, let alone the Passport or Keyone. So even in 2019 I am using it and will for a long time to come, unless they come out with a New Blackberry Passport version. Thanks.
Using Passport in March 2018, Whatsapp works, so does Facebook, Twitter and all the other apps you can wish for. Gets everything done. No need to upgrade yet. I'm enjoying BB Passport. It's really a great phone. The one and only with the unique shape and screen. Additionally, reading news, blogs, comic books is really fun on it. The speakers are the best I have seen on any phone till date, hands down. So listening to audio books, podcasts and music adds to the charm. This is my verdict, as a genuine BB user. No one has paid me to write this. You decide for yourself which device you want. Cheers!
Hi, very nicely written... would u recommend passport in late 2018? I Do have a secondary android ,thats why im not inclined toward the keyone ...i just need to have whatsapp.. passport excels at email and call quality and these two features will always work . I have used my friends passport for a month and only thing that bothered me is it will drain the battery itself in standby from the night till the morning ....from 100% to 60% .... The battery otherwise was decent while using it.
I use my BlackBerry Passport as my personal phone and use it mainly for getting shit done communication wise. I use the Keyone as my 2nd phone mainly for my business and take advantage of the android apps. Cant let go of my Passport. Hope they make a special edition keyone in BB10 for us.
The passport was very much ahead of it's time. I hope it makes a comeback. I have my reservations about the KeyOne, mainly being how poorly it formats videos on youtube, and that slow ass shutter and poor Camera software. After using iphone 6splus for over a year, I can truly appreciate what the iphone bandwagoners are obsessed with.
The passport in my opinion is the greatest phone of all time. Seriously! The screen is great. It really is depressing that all these people needs apps to live. What did they do before they had apps? I could care less about apps. The passport has Spotify and that's all that matters to me. BB10 is and will forever be the greatest OS. It's a shame, app developers did not give it a chance. If developers would've came over to begin with in the very beginning, BB10 would be thriving. I don't ever see getting rid of my passport. I have bought two of these. I did get rid of the first one to go to Android and regretted that decision. I tried IPHONE and that OS SUCKS!!! I'm back to passport and will never get rid of it. Unless it somehow blows up or can't work
I love the blackberry brand. Its the best phone ever. I still use a q10 and damn i love it. I want to upgrade to passport now but the money problem wont lent me do this now but sooner i'll get one
Thinking about getting a passport to do work on alongside my oneplus 3T. I really like the 3 rows of keys and the wider accept ratio makes it great for documents.
after using the keyone for 9 months. heres the things i miss the most about the passport silver edition. 1. it has a better camera. pure and simple. the keyone just sucks, the passport while it took a while to focus but it took better pictures. 2. the gesture based system is far better on the passport especially on the trackpad, the keyones track pad is to sensitive or not sensitive enough making for a confusing usage of your swiping up and down i almost always use the screen on the keyone to swipe because the trackpad is so sensitive. 3. i miss truly all the free system apps for production, a file explorer that actually works! a word document thingy powerpoint maker etc etc. even the blend, where you could type out messages your received on your pc and send through your phone. The keyone uses the stupid google store and everything is a ad ridden hell hole unless you pay $$$$. the passport was just better for this alone. and there is no blackberry blend equivalent on the keyone. and if there is TELL ME FFS! 4. passports display is just better for reading documents fatter screen equals more words and i prefer to read on that than the keyone due to the keyones overly sensitive trackpad. 5. the thing i missed the most. was a blackberry hub that Actually WORKS. the keyone doesnt have a mass trash can like the passport did, the hub always running, and the fast response THROUGH the hub where on android it opens the app you want to use instead of sending through the hub taking more time. the hub doesnt accept my university email either so i have to use gmail app and hub for email which is fucking annoying and mind boggling since blackberry is now a software company. and they cant make a android hub thats worth anything!!!! WHY! 6. Sound holy jesus the passport wins in sound. i dont even know half the time that i received a call or a text or a email on the keyone. it doesn't vibrate hard enough its sound is pitifully low. the passport LET ME KNOW when i had someone sending me something. that alone is almost enough to make me go back to the obsolete passport since missing phone calls from your boss is you know.... not the best idea! not to mention the stereo speakers on the passport are just flat out louder and better. sorry for the rant. but the passport had a lot right that should have been carried over to the keyone.
I just purchase the passport SE and loving for as a communication device and certain social media, the call quality is the best I've ever heard from a definitely smart phone
Still using my BB Passport (original) after over 2Y! Just starting to get frustrated about certain apps no longer working & thinking about switching to Priv or KeyOne.. but I love my Passport & don't want to! People have recently started complimenting my Passport just this year, so it feels like the mass populus may finally be ready for something other-than-a-rectangle! Here's hoping BB brings out another Passport-style phone soon, with updated specs, & then I'll have a solution.
Mine runs any Android App I've thrown at it from Amazon App Store, Play Store, and APKpure, I prefer BlackBerry OS to Android, can't stand when I swore up on my S7 edge that nothing happens. I also use BlackBerry Hub and Launcher on the Samsung.
The world wasn't ready... but after umpteen iterations of all-touch rectangles, I've noticed the praise for my Passport picking up strongly in the last six months or so & I think BB should give it another try!
Nice comparison, Jan. I have both a red Passport and a KEYone. For me the KEYone wins hands down. Too many useful features, a better screen, a significantly better camera... and it's those multitude of apps. In terms of build quality the Passport is a masterpiece of engineering and finish work. I miss BB10 but the mobile world has moved on. I just hope BlackBerry will continue to innovate and optimize the software for all devices.
Thanks for being the first to finally say for sure the true reason WHY Blackberry can't update the runtime as in Google's fault, not Blackberrys. They killed Blackberry somewhat.. the runtime story / situation would be a great video!!!
My friend thank you! I love the Passport and will most probably stick to it since Im not that much of freak with the app's. The only App which I personally depend on is Whatsapp and you already gave us enough solutions to that problem. Let's hope that Nemory Studios will update their App 'WhatsUp10' so I can use it a 100% and delete the android version of Whatsapp. Thank you again, keep on doing what you do! Love your work.
I currently use a Passport and have a KEYone on the way, I will run both. The Passport will always be my baby though as I really don't like Android but since BB abandoned us, we will eventually in time have to migrate over lol
Sold my Keyone and bought myself two passport silver edition for as long as I could. I am planning on buying the third passport Silver Edition soon as it is almost impossible to find one anywhere since it has been discounted
Got inspired by Ole and went from a flagship Sony Xperia to a Passport for the first time in the last few weeks. Love both of them! Definitely impressed by BB10's very slick interface. If you've never used a Passport before, you owe it to yourself to try it, especially considering how you can buy a Passport at bargain basement prices!
I used a KETOne for three days and loved it but could not tolerate calls dropping out which I never experienced with my Passport. Researching it I found that It doesn't have the Paratek dual antenna feature as does the Passport. Speaker sound quality is also bad compared to the stereo speakers of the Passport. It is a nice phone and I would have kept it in spite of shortcomings but I cannot tolerate call dropping. I sent it back to AT & T and went back to my trusty Passport.
As long as WhatsApp keeps working on the Passport - there is no reason for me to "upgrade". Twitter works, (the old) Facebook app (kinda) works, WhatsApp keeps working - that's all I need. And all with the great privacy BBOS can offer! -additional to that it wouldn't be an upgrade! The Passport is the best BlackBerry, BlackBerry has ever made! I love all about it - especially OS10! Years ahead of Android!
Kinda wish I waited now since they extended whatsapp support...lol. Miss my BB10 but still love the whole new world of apps that I was deprived of on BB10
Thanks Jan, your BB Videos are great and always to the point, which makes it informative. I have left my Samsung S8+ behind and went back to my BlackBerry Passport just for my own personal reasons and like many, I too hope they release a Passport with Android
Thanks for this video. I've used the Passport since January 2015. It's my favourite phone of all time. I love it. I also use the Priv since August 2016 (I'm a 2-phone geek) but it's performance has been quite unimpressive. Sadly, due to whatsapp losing BB10 support, I have bought recently bought a KeyOne and I'm about to migrate all my Passport data. I will really miss my Passport. :(
Another great video, Ole! Although I could do without the profanity. You handled the discussion well. Both devices have their advantages and disadvantages. The Passport is still a very relevant device, especially for those looking for a productivity monster, yet we all know its limitations. The KEYone does have all the current app availability and has brought along some BlackBerry flavor to it, but Android and BB10 are as different as can be. Android is designed for customization and multimedia consumption and BB10 is made to work and get back to life. Upgrading is a relative term. For me, the Passport is THE device, and the only way to upgrade is to find its successor (which BlackBerry abandoned), and the KEYone in my opinion was never going to be similar to the Passport. It's like its cousin more than its brother. Yet it's still a wonderful device that definitely deserves a look. Either way, thanks for supporting both and thanks for keeping your fans aware of the latest and greatest BlackBerry news. Keep rocking it!
I missed the opportunity to get a red one -- impossible to find a mint model online anymore -- but I did manage to snag the white version, and it's the best phone I've ever owned. I tried the keyone for several months, and have since gone back to the Passport. One thing I'll add in the Passport's favor: it has never spied on me, such as showing me an add for a business I telephoned shortly before. As soon as this happened on my KeyOne, I knew I'd be switching back to the Passport.
go for it! I was a bit scared too, but since I installed the google playstore via the .apk files trick, I can use the few apps I need, including whatsapp. The phone is great I should never had stopped buying BB phones for the last 3 years. Everything is so clear (and the hub is awesome!), keyboard is great, all that makes me feel my old moto G was a toy and not a phone..!
the question is still pending. And i'm still using my Passport in July 2018 for email and documents. And what a wonderful keyboard it has! Too bad the android runtime will not be updated...
i just bought a BB Classic two monts ago and i loving it , i woulb be to a new Classic whith a Android OS and CPU,GPU update but the formfactor i would leave like the Classic is . its a great formfactor !
Passport is better. I don't want a lot of useless apps. And I don't need lagging system. If Blackberry upgrade Passport model I buy it immediately. Anyway THX for quality video. (Can you duplicate videos on Vimeo? I didn't like how youtube works sometimes).
Love my KeyOne, but A) Suffered the screen lift that everyone is worried about at 3 weeks in and had to get it repaired B) I really miss BB10 But the battery life is insane, the keyboard is fantastic, and HUB feels and works much better on this phone than on the Priv.
Hi Everyone. I have been using the BB-Passport for the last one year. I have to say this, its one of the best phones that I have ever used. Great Battery Life, Smooth user interface, Qwerty Keyboard, Aspect ratio for reading/browsing & Camera are its many PROs. Size is indeed its minus. It does not fit well in the pocket & is hard to hold when making calls. For the past 1 month or so, I started to observe a stutter in the performance & a frequent lag with my BB-Passport. (Ever since I have tried to install Cobalt -OR- SNAP). The Android apps installed via them, were working only on WIFI and not functioning with the Data plan. I consoled myself that the iPad Mini 2 can function those apps that are not supported in BB-Passport. But alas, both devices are LARGE. So, I started to search for a suitable replacement. BB-Keyone will not be available for quite a while here in India. At the same time, its heavily priced ! (I think so..) In my search for a good replacement (both BB-Passport & iPad Mini 2), I came across a website (link below), which showed iPhone SE to carry the most user satisfying experience. I had used a 4S before, and was turned down by the battery life - and the same is the case for most iPhone models. But SE sounded different. Reviews after reviews raved about the performance, camera, Battery-life(!), SIZE(size:) so on and so forth. So, I did the needful. Decided to plunge into the iPhone world once again. Exchanged both the iPad Mini 2 & the BB-Passport at one of the local webuy stores for a (brand A)iPhone SE 64GB. And what a relief it is to hold something lighter & smaller, yet so clear & smooth. Battery life will indeed come as a surprise with only 1624mAh capacity against using 3450mAh capacity. The camera is simply awesome, better than BB-Passport. The only minus I found so far is that of the small keyboard. But using SIRI to type out for you is a cool feature indeed & it types out accurately most of the times. The iOS is smoother even with heavy applications, it does a great job at performance. I barely use WIFI, so am always using my data plan in 3G, the battery still lasts longer than expected - more than a day. Charging is quicker with the lightning cable. This review is not meant to put down BB devices in any way. They are great & majestic in their truest sense. But for someone who feels tired of holding huge devices & is always on the run - iPhone SE is truly a customer-satisfying phone in every possible way you could think of. I have Passport which is an amazing device, I hate android because of google, google analysis and see its user's data, Passport is very fast, it have a fluid system, the size is not suite for all but for emailing and spreadsheets it is amazing.
I know have a K1, it was intended to replace my Passport. I have found that I still use my Passport and now use K1 as my 'other' phone. Just don't understand the draw of poor software design (android) over more efficient and intelligent software (BB10). Plus the Passport feel so much more sturdy and not fragile like my K1
I have a K1 and also had a Passport (and will get another one eventually). They are both really good but the Passport is not that usefull nowadays anymore. BB10 has not enough Apps, Whatsapp is not working that well and everyone is using Whatsapp. You'd limited yourself only using a BB10 device. Also the camera is too weak and the keyboard is not that great either. Sure, the keys are big and typing feels good but you only have letters and the rest is digital. Kills the purpose of a physical keyboard when every 2 seconds you have to use the digital keyboard to use symbols and numbers, if you ask me. It's good to have it as a second device for business purposes though while using the K1 as your main device.
Hi ole i want to buy the BlackBerry passport but i would like to know if it possible to install google play store on this smartphone ? Because i saw a lot of review of this...
Good compare Jan. I switched to the Keyone. My apps would not work well on the passport. Amazon updates would not install updated apps. SNAP has not worked in a while. I will miss the dynamic speakerphone, stereo speakers and the file manager. Was so easy to locate and manage all my files on the passport. Getting a file manager app is not the same on the Keyone. Overall I like the new keyboard, the battery life and efficiency and the newer apps on the Keyone my passport would not install (SlingTv)
My Passport SE is my first ever Blackberry and will continue to be my work driver for a long time. The KEYone is appealing, but I will wait until either the Passport totally dies, or the price of the KEYone drops.
My usage? GPS, email, BBM, text, browsing, pictures (camera, manipulation, enjoyment), Boggle. If I got Android I would also add Invoicing, Geocaching, watching TV (Cogeco apps). That's it. Can't imagine having to move from BB10 Hub to the Android version though.
Passport SE feels more refined and is original! :) ..on a serious note, I have been travelling and without it to hand being able to be PRODUCTIVE and multitask with calls , msgs, emails/trade/information gathering online and spread sheets etc, It would have cost me tens of thousands of pounds. This has happened more than once. When I put my phone down and look at it, having just about made it with the battery I congratulate myself on buying and sticking with blackberry... especially the passport SE. My wife has a red passport and has it cracked with google play services so she can use the apps. we both don't ever want to move on or need to. I have worked on the markets and computers all my life and android security is non existent. All IMHO and I have tried all the other top phones including KeyOne.
Excellent video with excellent content! This video was right on time. I'm in the United States and plan to upgrade from the Blackberry Passport Silver to the Keyone. I will probably purchase the Keyone this week...just trying to figure out where to purchase it from. I normally purchase from the BB official website but when I tried to do so, it referred me to other websites. Anyway, keep the great videos coming.
Love your Videos - I have a Keyone that was delivered today. Can't wait to do the setup. I'm coming from iPhone. Is there a recommend way to make the transition easier? Like contacts and so forth. Rich 🤓
In my experience the KeyOne is much better in terms of performance. On the BB SE it was usual for the OS to having to reload apps after four had been opened in a row. The overall experience involved a lot of waiting and loading. KeyOne only has this problem after 10 or so apps. Having said that, the KeyOne could be optimised to auto shutdown apps that are infrequently used or keep popular apps loaded in memory by default.
I love the keyone but I don't like the scroll feature I feel that it's more of a novelty since I can't really depend on it. I wish the scroll effect was similar to its original blackberry highlighting feature instead of just scrolling horizontally and vertically like I wish there was more to it. also the keyboard gives me karpal tunnel I thought I'd be in to it but Im low key not
Think the same thing, the scroll feature was so nicely implemented in the passport without any issues at all. Would be awesome if the can improve it on the K1!
Jan great video thank you so much. I use my passport as my main driver and sometimes switch to my moto g5. I'm really struggling with weather or not I should invest in the KeyOne. Still love the passport and already have an android phone. I fear I may have buyers remorse. What to do what to do...
I get a kick out of everything Samsung Lg and Apple tries to say how much more superior they are to the new Blackberry.. I’m not falling for it as I WILL be getting the KeyOne.. I already have the Passport and would love to get the Silver Edition on top of my current Passport .. I am so bored with my iPhone SE
My Blackberry Passport is not getting signals just Emergency call only some times signals shows but unable to call is there any solution or its dead Jan Ole Helmbold can you help me please
Don't Cobalt's workarounds resolve the runtime problem? I updated 4.4 over 4.3 without opening, as Cobalt indicates. Almost every app that I use works on my Passport. Could you mention which apps are not supposed to work anymore?
I'm still on my Q10. Personally I think BB should of upper graded the OS and had put Android as a option to install if you wanted it or not. The REAL BB OS is way better than this new BB look alike android phone or any other phone for that matter..... many features are missing from the real BB. I've been with BB right from the word go, so yes I know. The real BB is a real business phone. I stuck by BB through all the growing pains and I'm sure I am not the only one. I'm not being negative I'm just feeling betrayed by BB. Android BB is not business oriented sorry. Only the real BB is. Thank you for the Video Jan Ole.
is it possible to uncheck app permissions one by one on BB Android phones in general? (like is possible on BB10 phones and NOT possible on Android devices)
I like the Passport, but I have small hands (not Trump size though) so the KEYone is easier to type on. The Passport does feel more premium in my opinion. Can someone tell me what the black thing is on the top of the KEYone (not the camera but the one on the top right)
I just ordered my first android phone ( blackberry priv), hope i dont miss z10 that i have for 3 years, ,migrated to android only because of whatsapp wich i use on work all day.
once you go square your eyes open and everything else just seems odd, passport is great never miss an email like android, blackberry 10 music sounds way better than android music you have real equalisation control, all the apps i need are served by bb10 try to keep android of my blackberry it's just like a virus that shows everything down
@Bijay Kumar Pun I was thinking about same thing just before I read ur comment, the problem I have other android phone which will meaningless to have 2 android phones, and I will never get iPhone
I live in the hub, email and comm is what I do with my passport, but lately it's getting harder and harder to use anything outside of those functions - the constant updating of the google suite has forced the death of to me, a great phone - the best I've ever had. So, i just bought a keyone just now - I'll try it, and see how the new hub works, etc. but it will be sad moment for me....
Hi Jan, I hope you can help me. I would like to buy a BB Passport Silver Edition. I can not find o place to buy from SUA. Can you help me? Thanks a lot.
They really need to release an updated Passport.
Absolutlyyy!
James Perkins Yeah they should but....
yeah, beautiful and Android but naah.... ain't just the same feel... not even close.
I hope they do. It has a perfect design.
I agree definitely need a Passport 2 with Android. We need to start a pension for them to do that seriously. That Passport was something special. If only they gave it Android.
I still use my Passport SE. Not sure how I will ever be able to move on from it.
Bijay Kumar Pun :likewise!
Same here. Although, I don't really feel like I need to move on from it yet either. It has more life yet
Me too!!
I just changed from my Passport to the KEYOne. The Passport is easier to use and it´s laid out more easily... But already after a few days, you will notice that the KEYOne is the better phone (technically)... I still love the Passport though and believe that it´s the best phone!

Sincerely happy seeing a young man like you interessted in Blackberry. You are a truly BB fan Ole, and you have my support. Keep up the good work !

Bought the KeyOne Black, went back to my passport after 3 months.

hi, im from 2023 and i can confirm that whatsapp is still supported, even some newer apps like telegram 👍🏻
I know I will never use a passport phone but man that phone is one of a kind...looks dope ...hope they release a new version of passport in 2019
I use my BlackBerry Passport as my personal phone and use it mainly for getting shit done communication wise. I use the Keyone as my 2nd phone mainly for my business and take advantage of the android apps. Cant let go of my Passport. Hope they make a special edition keyone in BB10 for us.

I think... I'm happy with my BlackBerry Passport silver edition. It's been a year almost using it and probably it's an amazing device!
I still love my passport SE, and still got people attention
I just purchase the passport SE and loving for as a communication device and certain social media, the call quality is the best I've ever heard from a definitely smart phone

love the square screen on the passport, i even read magazine's from the zinio app on my passport very clearly to see
I am still using the passport until now, but I am going to buy the bb key one just for use whatsapp, I love bb because they are durable and nice...
you can get 'watsapp plus' apk from Google
I would like a passport running android
I would like a passport running a successful bb10 with lots of apps
Mine runs any Android App I've thrown at it from Amazon App Store, Play Store, and APKpure, I prefer BlackBerry OS to Android, can't stand when I swore up on my S7 edge that nothing happens. I also use BlackBerry Hub and Launcher on the Samsung.

Ive had mine for a couple of years, even now when I pull it out people are stunned that it's a BlackBerry and wonder where they can get one.
Agree, had the passport and loved it but couldn't live without android (thought I could).
Ordered the K1, can't wait.
The BlackBerry Passport SE is an awesome BB10 device!

I miss BB10 but the mobile world has moved on. I just hope BlackBerry will continue to innovate and optimize the software for all devices.
Great to see BlackBerry is finally going back to a new and old combination
I have both of them. I love the KeyOne more because of everything.
I just bought the passport, my first blackberry
Is it still working out?
I owned the silver passport i sold in in 2015 and i bought again the black passport now.Apps is huge issues but im not giving the phone again
That's really awesome! It really is something else and I always love going back to the passport. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!!
It can be using until this end of the year, visit crackberry for more latest update :)
I'm happy as I could be!
Kinda wish I waited now since they extended whatsapp support...lol. Miss my BB10 but still love the whole new world of apps that I was deprived of on BB10
the twitter barely works, even apps like twittly don't work perfect. that's one of the very few complaints i have about the passport.
Try that whatsapp 10.
Did the same. Went back to Passport after a few months. BB10 is just better than Android
Still on my Red Passport...the King of phones.
Same here! The red always turns heads everywhere I go. Absolute the most beautiful and stylish phone or one can own. Very rare too!
I have one too signed by Jim Balsimi at a party in Ottawa. zero issues
The Passport is Blackberry's best phone ever produced.
I just bought GSM Passport will be here this Friday. Its my second Passport and Im excited. I have a Blackberry collection.
I am thinking of buying BB Passpport its much cheaper what you think guys?
my most used app is whatsapp, googlemap and audible I dont game on my phone got switch for that
go for it! I was a bit scared too, but since I installed the google playstore via the .apk files trick, I can use the few apps I need, including whatsapp. The phone is great I should never had stopped buying BB phones for the last 3 years. Everything is so clear (and the hub is awesome!), keyboard is great, all that makes me feel my old moto G was a toy and not a phone..!
can you give me a link to the .apk files trick? thanks:)

I decided to buy a passport and stay 4 a while with BlackBerry 10 OS. great video!
I need a new phone. I love the idea of the passport!
the question is still pending. And i'm still using my Passport in July 2018 for email and documents. And what a wonderful keyboard it has! Too bad the android runtime will not be updated...
Bought the Key One Black, went back to the Passport after a few months.
i just bought a BB Classic two monts ago and i loving it , i woulb be to a new Classic whith a Android OS and CPU,GPU update but the formfactor i would leave like the Classic is . its a great formfactor !
Yeah this is never going to happen man
can't agree more!
Passport is better. I don't want a lot of useless apps. And I don't need lagging system. If Blackberry upgrade Passport model I buy it immediately. Anyway THX for quality video. (Can you duplicate videos on Vimeo? I didn't like how youtube works sometimes).
Love my KeyOne, but
A) Suffered the screen lift that everyone is worried about at 3 weeks in and had to get it repaired
B) I really miss BB10
But the battery life is insane, the keyboard is fantastic, and HUB feels and works much better on this phone than on the Priv.
Loved this video...very fair and very informative!!! I can't let my Passport SE go...can't do it.
thank you :)
I use the Red BB Passporthad Jim Balsimi sign it too. Still works great
Nice review ole, loved it :)
The only reviewer out there keeping BB alive :P
Keep it up
Hi Everyone.
(I think so..)
In my search for a good replacement (both BB-Passport & iPad Mini 2), I came across a website (link below), which showed iPhone SE to carry the most user satisfying experience.
Regards,
Teja

Still using my Passport SE in 2019
I have Passport which is an amazing device, I hate android because of google, google analysis and see its user's data, Passport is very fast, it have a fluid system, the size is not suite for all but for emailing and spreadsheets it is amazing.
Thanks for being a faithful Blackberry Reviewer.
Excellent video, buddy
Excelent review,,thanx
You can program each key on your keyboard (abcdefg..) to get to your apps or force the phone for a special action.
Applications asside, BB10 will not get security updates in the near future, I don't understand why would someone buy a Passport now.
I like blackberry passports I m fan th blackberry
Thank you for the comparision
My Passport SE is my first ever Blackberry and will continue to be my work driver for a long time. The KEYone is appealing, but I will wait until either the Passport totally dies, or the price of the KEYone drops.
Oh how I need both of these phones. One for personal one for work.
"Gets shit done" awesome!
I really need to look at getting a KeyOne.
Can we install and use whatsapp properly in this passport?
I have go to crackberry. None of them works in 2018.
Type 'Watsapp plus apk' on Google from your phone. You'll discover some additional privacy settings too 😉😉
The middle button in the Passport is Mute when short press, and Assistant when long pressing. Nice video Ole.
Thank you so much :)
I did but the Keyone and I love it
I really love my Keyone I loved my Bold the KEYone is king I absolutely love it.
wanna get the keyone but I still prefer the passport's aspect ratio since I read alot of pdfs, I hope they make an updated passport.
The KeyOne once you use it for up to 2 weeks is a better experience versus the SE in "my" opinion.
Love your Videos - I have a Keyone that was delivered today. Can't wait to do the setup. I'm coming from iPhone. Is there a recommend way to make the transition easier? Like contacts and so forth. Rich 🤓
Yep there is! There are wireless data transfer apps available, just like I show in my newest video :)
I just ordered a key 2 right now I’m using the passport.
Which one is better - KeyOne or Dtek60?
In my experience the KeyOne is much better in terms of performance. On the BB SE it was usual for the OS to having to reload apps after four had been opened in a row. The overall experience involved a lot of waiting and loading. KeyOne only has this problem after 10 or so apps. Having said that, the KeyOne could be optimised to auto shutdown apps that are infrequently used or keep popular apps loaded in memory by default.
I want to save my blackberry passport.i love this phone.highest quality phone I have ever owned but suffering from the whole android thing
can't we install Android on passport?
I'd say may be order it from amazon, try it for some days and then return it if you do not like it
Jan Ole Helmbold ordered it yesterday. 👍
I get a kick out of everything Samsung Lg and Apple tries to say how much more superior they are to the new Blackberry.. I’m not falling for it as I WILL be getting the KeyOne.. I already have the Passport and would love to get the Silver Edition on top of my current Passport .. I am so bored with my iPhone SE
s ga hey, does the android version work well on passport?
Tech Slash HD it seems to work okay.. I’m just happy it works great for s Blackberry.. thankyou!
Tech Slash HD actually I’m not too sure .. I can’t tell the dif between the bb10 and android apps.. all I know is everything works for me
My Blackberry Passport is not getting signals just Emergency call only some times signals shows but unable to call is there any solution or its dead Jan Ole Helmbold can you help me please
Don't Cobalt's workarounds resolve the runtime problem? I updated 4.4 over 4.3 without opening, as Cobalt indicates. Almost every app that I use works on my Passport. Could you mention which apps are not supposed to work anymore?
Juan P Diaz R did you learn anymore after posting this comment?
I'm still on my Q10. Personally I think BB should of upper graded the OS and had put Android as a option to install if you wanted it or not. The REAL BB OS is way better than this new BB look alike android phone or any other phone for that matter..... many features are missing from the real BB. I've been with BB right from the word go, so yes I know. The real BB is a real business phone. I stuck by BB through all the growing pains and I'm sure I am not the only one. I'm not being negative I'm just feeling betrayed by BB. Android BB is not business oriented sorry. Only the real BB is. Thank you for the Video Jan Ole.
sunshinebloo definitly agree you !
keep going, that will never happend, even i´m agree with you
Passport allday. BB10 all day.
Hey ole great video again! can you recommend a good music player for the passport?
thank you! I use spotify :)
bene neutron player, i got Amazon music to work
is it possible to uncheck app permissions one by one on BB Android phones in general? (like is possible on BB10 phones and NOT possible on Android devices)
I like the Passport, but I have small hands (not Trump size though) so the KEYone is easier to type on. The Passport does feel more premium in my opinion.
Can someone tell me what the black thing is on the top of the KEYone (not the camera but the one on the top right)
Easgpsdhj it's the ambient light sensor as far as I'm concerned
I just ordered my first android phone ( blackberry priv), hope i dont miss z10 that i have for 3 years, ,migrated to android only because of whatsapp wich i use on work all day.
Please show how to make the imo app work on the Blackberry passport when it has been deleted and reinstalled back on the phone.
once you go square your eyes open and everything else just seems odd, passport is great never miss an email like android, blackberry 10 music sounds way better than android music you have real equalisation control, all the apps i need are served by bb10 try to keep android of my blackberry it's just like a virus that shows everything down
I hate you so much! You convince me to buy a Blackberry Passport SE now!😹😹Add to my this year's wishlist ✔️✔️
I never got a notification of this video. I guess it's time to hit that bell.
Awesome!!
Im using bb passport. First edition. I'm having problem with mine. Its getting hot... Like literally hot...
Love my passport but the browser is outdated and won't work on some sites ??? What browser would work to fix this???
Thanks a lot.
is there any difference between passport 2014 and 2017 editions?
