Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world.

It's just sad to see Led Zeppelin not being recognized in today's pop culture as much as other bands although it is definitely THE BEST BAND EVER!
It's partly of their own fault though. For decades they refused to license their music anywhere except radio play. No movies, tv shows, commercials, games, anything.
Actually one of their songs, and forgive me for not remembering which one, was used in a Lincoln Continental, commercial.(one of them luxury cars anyway)
And in one of the Shrek movies you can just hear the beginning of The Immigrant Song in one of the scenes.

Try adjusting your seat up to where your knee has about a 100° to 120° bend instead of a 90° or less. Tighten the springs on the pedal to where you get a really good recoil. Then play the pedal closer to the hinge than most people do. You might think, well that's just going to make the pedal harder to press and it'll be more tiring. Well, it will make the pedal harder to press, but the recoil of pedal will lift your leg up and reduce the effort there.
Our legs have a lot more strength in stepping down, than lifting up. Kinda like an alligators mouth, plenty of chomp down strength, but very little for opening the mouth.
Anyway, that's how I used accomplish triplets, quadruplets, and plain outright continuous rolls for long periods of time where most people would just assume I should be getting fatigued.
I suppose one could call it the Kung Fu bass drum method.
In kung fu, some moves are designed to use your opponent's energies to your advantage and to their disadvantage.
Any,way, experiment with variations of those parameters and see if you can find a sweet spot where you feel like you can do a lot more with a bass drum.
@@davidmoore8704 you know what, thank you I’ll try that. I’ll let you know how that works for me
Godly and legendary. The platinum standard. Whenever something is uploaded here I click in under a second
Absolutely green with envy of the audience. I was only 4 yrs old at the time of this concert. My favorite band of all time and never got to see them live and in person is a damn travesty lol. But this was awesome, thanks for sharing 🤘🏻
I was 2, and glad to have lived in this time. It was the soundtrack to my life
I saw Zep play Kashmir live back about 1975 in Vancouver. Physical Graffiti hadn't been released yet. And yes, it was that good.
@@modtomodern I saw them live in 76 or 77. Outdoors. It was pretty amazing. It was a great time to be alive for the music
As an 18 year old I can only imagine how amazing their live performances must have been
@@recoveringsoul755 Wasn't it? Lucky us.
Mon dieu que c'est beau. Ce qu'il dégage est incomparable... Un univers vraiment inégalé pour moi...
Tout est bon avec Led Zeppelin ❤❤❤
voice that defined an era
There will never be another band like this again
I sure hope there is
Led Zeppelin was,is,still the greatest Rock Band
cover band you mean
What the... How come i haven't hit upon this version till now? How they come up with this sound is simply beyond imagination..
This was an INTELLECTUAL piece. The spirit of those times shines through. The talent carries the spirit. When I first heard this piece I was dazed and confused.
Saw them twice in the late 60’s. Unforgettable performances. 5 minute song on the album turned into 15 or 20 minutes live
Lucky you! By any chance did you take any photos, recordings, etc at the shows?
@@dyermaker4731 Nah...Young and stupid...It would have been great if cell phone technology was around then...All I have is my memories to keep me warm.
As I get older I finally understand how much limit testing Led Zeppelin did with their musicianship. But as I grow more experienced as a musician I also start to notice how many mistakes they are actually making :/ It's nearly impossible to do with perfectly, but the fact that they were able to make it sounds good shows what amazing musicians they actually were.

yeah, look at Jimmy dance!
✨⚡️💙⚡️✨
This whole damn show is one of my favorite things on the earth.....this era of the Zep is just untouchable...
when I saw them in Berkeley, they entered the stage in total darkness (it felt like the flash before orgasm) ...then, they BLASTED our brains for ever and ever
Lucky you! By any chance did you take any photos, recordings, etc at the show?
