Why mention that you're black....?? White ,black, yellow, who gives a f@ck. Maybe this is something very american style but certainly not european. If you're black ,you can listen and love rock music, just as a white person can and may love rb music. Who cares...
I'm sorry you'll have to hear that once again but people dislike post grunge because it is always referencing nirvana and AIC. But I agree with you on the fact that post grunge is far more honest than modern pop
Music is better than any drug or friend out there. Regardless of what kind of mood you're in, theres always that song or genre to make you happy or help with the rage!
Dunno man, they were super popular in Detroit. Addiction is a terrible thing tho… I’d have loved to see what their next album was like-like most artists, the sophomore album wasn’t as good as the first release and the third usually corrects the mistakes of the second.
Korn and disturbed still sell out the 15,000 arena here and p.o.m. performed the same year and was at the 2500 seat theater a mile away. So they are popular because it sold out but not to the level some other bands of the time. That being said I think they're one of the best underrated bands of all time period
I love this guy's voice, it's so str8 forward can't noone steal, remake this beat anywhere at anytime.. It stands out of in it's own, these are the songs that made music what it is today. Without this music this generation wouldn't even kno where to start.... 🙏🤳💪🎶🎶🎤🎧🎬
Man, this was the best lineup of Puddle of Mudd. Such a killer song.I wanna see Paul and Greg come back so bad! And another great release like Come Clean or Life On Display.
@@roberttaylor1275when I say I’ve never seen someone hit the drums as hard as that dude live, I mean it. I seen them with nickelback and three doors down and they stole the show.
I like how puddle of mudd is so much more real than any other bands. No excessive freaking makeup or songs about bitches everywhere. They actually put their real feelings in their songs.

Reminds me of the 90s when I was growing up. I'll never be back in that time and my memories of it will slowly fade away into the depths of nostalgia. Beautiful really.
Ive just gotten through the worst month of my life and i fell into them because i randomly clicked on Away From Me after listening to Blurry because it was the first thing i could think of that i could listen to outside of type O negative. Ive been listening to them nonstop since and they are quite literally keeping me together right now. I only wish i had the ability to see them when they were here a couple days ago. I could have really used that. Hopefully next year. I hope Wes is doing better. Id love to be able to tell him how much his voice is helping me right now. Away From Me, Blurry, Think, Drift & Die, and Psycho have been all ive been listening to for days now 💜 help me stay the same. Maybe things won't ever change, maybe we could taste the rain...
Back when this album came out I would throw it my discman and hit the slopes at wolf creek on my snowboard. Probably only survived some of those waterfall drops because of this music 😂
It’s crazy how listening to this music can transport you back in time and make you remember what it was like to feel like a kid again and just what it was like during that time ❤
Wesley Reid Scantlin[1] (born June 9, 1972 in Kansas City, Missouri) is a songwriter, lead singer, guitarist and the only remaining founding member of the American post-grunge band Puddle of Mudd. Scantlin graduated from high school in 1990 from Park Hill High School in Kansas City. He also has a son, Jordan, born in 1997 from a previous relationship.

I know music really is terrible today. From the 90s all the way up until like maybe 02 or 03 is when is was badass. I don't listen to the radio ever. I created my own 90s and early 2000s playlist where I have tons of favorites from that time, especially the ones you mentioned. I really don't know what is causing such a decline in music these days, but with the way it is now I only see it getting worse and worse as time goes on. This is all my opinion in sure some of you are fine with music today, but I'm definitely still stuck in the 90s lol
Yeah I'd say that's pretty accurate. The Internet and social media seem to go hand in hand with bringing out the most generic and bland music of today. The good music that is still out there I have to really dig deep to find it. But I do agree that bands like Alice in chains, pearl jam, and many other amazing acts from the 90s will most likely never return. Music has no substance anymore. It's more about current stupid trends or fads rather than quality.

I seriously don't know why people don't like post grunge. It is really nice and solid music. Way better than modern top 40 and EDM songs.
As long as a great melody and groove!!!!!!!! But the deep stuff..dinosaur jr...etc nah...not into it..

The lyrics, for those who may wish to relish in their greatness:
Drift & Die"
Forgotten thoughts of yesterday
Through my eyes I see the past
Well I don't know I don't know I don't know why
I believe I believe I believe in the truth, from inside
Go away go away go away from me
Leave me alone
Ignorance spreads lies
How much will money buy
Well I'll take my time as I drift and die
Unwanted live my life a shame
Who's to blame for my mistakes
Well I don't know I don't know I don't know why
I believe I believe I believe in the truth, from inside
Go away go away go away from me
Leave me alone
Ignorance spreads lies
How much will money buy
Well I'll take my time as I drift and die
As I drift and die
As I drift and die
Ignorance spreads lies
How much will money buy
Well I'll take my time
As I drift and die
As I drift and die
As I drift and die
As I drift and die
As I drift and die
