- Jim Sanborn created a sculpture containing a secret message. It sits on the grounds of CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia. Yet no one has been able to solve it. Code breakers from around the world have tried for 30 years. They’re stumped. The artist meets with people like cryptologist Elonka Dunin who are desperate to solve the mystery at his Maryland studio every year or so. But Sanborn won’t divulge any clues. It's like Fermat's last theorem. It was left unsolved for so many years that some mathematicians thought Fermat must've made a mistake, or he was bluffing. And while the theorem was eventually proven, it's still unknown if Fermat actually proved it, since the math required didn't exist in his time.
I've heard a theory that he had an incorrect solution because apparently there are several solutions that initially appear to prove it that have been shown to have errors.

I have a feeling that the curvature (the geometry) of the see-through piece might have something to do with the solution to the 4th cipher. This was done by an artist, and not necessarily a professional cryptographer/code breaker, so the special spatial alignments and the transpositions of the see-through letters under certain times of the day, light conditions, solar/celestial angles and configurations might have particularly appealed to him. It’s definitely worth a shot.
That's exactly what I thought many years ago, especially with such a giant puzzle monument out in the open.
I have an idea and i'm just going to throw it out there. There's 1800 characters in Kryptos. What if every 1800 days the sun lines up in such a way that the shadows of Kryptos show a clue? The next day where this clue can happen is May 3rd, 2025.

Happy Easter to all, and here is your Easter egg. I have found something interesting about the zodiac ciphers, They are double ciphers, I havent checked too many yet. . Best way to tell you is by example - Z13 says Glasses male me, but it also says Put P aove A and C above M, He is wanting you to switch characters thru another offshoot of Arabic so you can see true meaning. Right now, if you were to translate the top it doesnt really mean anything, I dont think he would say about the same thing as Z408 and Z340. (nasty things about killing.) The true meaning is told by the hidden cipher on all. Until you do 2 translations you cannot see the real meaning of the cipher. He did almost the same to misspellings to give you a more complete meaning of himself. I have not seen anyone that knows this but there is a secret word to open all up. Hint its not “open sesame”. LOL Its something to do with his occupation. Reddit is incorrect about those language translations. Its Arabic first (5 offshoots of this language he used, then it is tweaked to another version of arabic and solved again. The Major Languages on these is number 1) parent is arabic, 2) Dutch - offshoot is Afrikaans 3) english for his name. The greek they said is part of translation, that is only two letters alpha and omega. So now you are finally hearing the truth of the Zodiac ciphers., Tricky Little SH** Z340 was never solved. Has errors in those 4 lines. Didnt translate 16 and they are not in sections either. Now Z408 IS sections.

My guess is that the actual puzzle isn't formatted correctly or has spelling errors, or heck the design of the puzzle itself is incorrect which is why it hasn't been solved yet. I know a lot of infamous puzzles like this one typically remained unsolved simply because the author didn't format it correctly and meant it was impossible to solve for that reason.
They tried to break by deciphering and all along these were translations of another language./ Thats what you are seeing, and God knows what you saw in deciphering.

The most obvious clue of all: Sanborn's first and foremost an artist. The 4th message is ITSELF. It cannot be decoded because there's nothing to decode. (Like all compelling works of art, it mirrors the futility of intuiting something that is not present in the work itself but rather reflects the beholders' own preoccupations.) Yet even this artistic flourish is within the immediate context--and *purpose*--of the work. Acting as a reminder to all spymasters that their greatest enemy is loss of objectivity; of *needing* to see something that isn't there ... despite the contrary monolith of evidence right in front of them.
This job sounds like a dream!!! I’ve always loved puzzles, I’ve never been able to crack a code, but I’d do my best to learn as fast as I can! 😁

The possibility that the fourth code is just gibberish might actually be what's happening here.
I think that the purpose of this art piece is to show how humans will try to sort out the chaos, but maybe that's not what the chaos wants. A true chaos cannot be ordered or given meaning or it's not true chaos in the first place.
