Hi Tym. I bought the fox frontier x after seeing your 1st review on it. I did 2 weeks in France this June and it was brilliant. Thanks for the great tips. Next year's France trip is already booked . Cheers Tym. Best tip for me was the all the door arrangements
Hi thanks for the comment, pleased you like it and yes awesome bivvy, I’m debating wether to save up for the extension now for my France trip next year,, Cheers👍
Like your video on these tips. A question can you leave the zip up front panel when you take it down or do you have to remove it. Thinking of buying an X
Best tip For me has to the the avid quick-change adaptors on the storm poles. I sae them on your original one with the bivvy and was impressed. I now have a set on mine 👌
Hello from Ukraine! thank you for these useful tips. I think that frontier is best bivvy, dream of my fishing life. The best tips for me is about using extra straps for rods and extra storage on the top of the bivvy. Its very simple, but no everyone know about it. Good luck! Really glad to take part in giveaway.
Hi Tym. I've just purchased frontier x, and I've realised I need a degree in zips. I also sleep with the door open most of the time. If it rains I shut the door, or if the mozys are a pain the mozy mesh will go on. Is there any way of continuing to two doors so there guick and easy to use. Thanks Steve
Hi I only use the main door on the front panel and it’s open all the time unless it rains if it not windy I don’t zip it up I stick the Velcro together that way in the night I don’t need to find a zip just push it open I have been thinking about a mozi full front but I do prefer the full front and can open vents on that so it’s sort of like a mozi front, it’s just playing around with it mate to find what works for you Sorry couldn’t be more help Cheers👍🏼
Hi wounding if u can help in any way is the Fox Camolite Ruckall any bigger than the Nash Subterfuge Rucksack as in the Main compartment had the Fox R Series Standard was to big or would u suggest something similar out Fox an Nash ??
Do most of these myself to be honest. But using the guide ropes as a washing line and vapour peak velcro straps as rod retainers are new to me and certainly be using them. Cheers for the tip, very helpful.
Hi Tym, is it possible to pack the bivvy away with the vapour peak still attached or does it need to come off? the frontier looks like it ticks all the boxes other than the overwrap not having any vents in - are you still using the frontier X and happy with it? thanks
Hi I always take the peak off never tried leaving it on only takes seconds to put on I’ve not got the overwrap so can’t comment on that one sorry But I do have the porch extension, review on that coming in about 4 weeks as I’m working on the video now Yes still using the frontier I love it Thanks tym

Great video. How do you find the frontier copes with condensation although an internal vapour shield ? My favourite tip is actually a simple one and that's the orientation of the bed. I've never thought about putting it on an angle but I suppose that's because we all normally conform to the norm which is pushed back straight against the back of the bivvy!
