After seeing your honest review video I bought the Frontier XD. Very pleased with it. I was surprised with the amount of pegs, 24 in total. The price of the bivvy is well spend if you keep in mind that it’s made of 20.000HH material to keep you dry in the most worst weather conditions.
@Carpfinatic Dude its awesome. I got the camolite version. So easy to go up, perfect size and looks fantastic. Solid in all weather I've came across. Definitely glad I watched your video.
Hi! I've already watched a few tent videos, e.g.: Prologic Inspire SLR Bivvy, NASH TITAN HIDE CAMO PRO XL, TRAKKER TEMPEST RS. But this tent is still closer to me in terms of solutions. One thing I noticed with all models is that they didn't put in the transparent rain window that can be fixed with Velcro on the front, back, and side, which might have escaped my attention. in heavy rain, if you close everything because the rain comes in through the mosquito net, we can't see what's going on outside because we have to close ourselves and sit in a closet. how do you solve this? You made a good video. Best regards, Tibor
Can you pack it away with the groundsheet attached? Class review, not going into silly detail. Would you say it's big enough for two bedchairs or would have to get the XD
ive got one love it only thing is inlike fishing with the clear door but you cant have the clear door letter box style ive fannied on with the zips for ages and justblooks like you can only do it with the black out
I love my frontier x I’ve had it for about a year now, had tempests for years and much prefer this. Like the full clear door for the colder months aswell, I have all the extras vapour shield and the overwrap for the colder months, wouldn’t change mine for anything P.s you don’t need to take the infill panel off to pack it away mate I keep mine on all the time,
Try putting it up in the wind and rain. Also the foot Matt causes the bivvy to flood if water gets under groundsheet as Velcro isn’t full length. In minus 4 mines froze up inside. In the strong gales last week a pole snapped.
Top review buddy .... I traded in my tempest for this a year ago and the quality is awesome. Agree with everything you said ... one thing, I would defo go for the XD bags of room if you are a taller angler and perfect for short sessions as well as longer ones .. well worth the £700 !!! GREAT REVIEW MATEY
Have owned the frontier for a while now, superb bivvy, well built etc, well worth the money, if you don’t like the price or weight which is fine imo then buy the lightweight version, best tip for you Ben, lay the groundsheet first where you want your bivvy position then set up bivvy, last job skull cap.
Love mine, disagree about the weight, it is bigger and it is lighter than my old Trakker advanced 100 brolly, and for what you get I think the price is fair for what you get. I pack mine down with the front attached as it saves time on the bank. Best bivvy i've ever owned and totally worth the money.
Good luck getting spares for them.....if it's anything like my leaky ultra brolly, it's near enough impossible. Obtaining anything off fox international is just hassle.
Too heavy,,, and you have to have passed the krypton factor to work out how the zips on the door panel go when switching it to the mozzy door panel... I was pulling my hair out trying to work it out, as the zips all zip completely off as well, nightmare... but hey other than that its ok
lol, there are x2 lots of zips on each side of the door,,, so 4 in total... and when they poped off, it took forever to try and work out how to get them back on in the correct way, and also they shot off, when i changed to the mozzy door,,, definately takes a while to sort it... But its a good bivvy, but at nearly 15kg....its heavy, looking at the new Solar Spider compact for the spring as its only 8KG
@@Parkerbaits yeah agreed - if I done my homework before hand though and realised they didn’t make the overwrap for that size then I would have got the X version but agree, best Bivvy I have owned to date
great vid . I had the fox frontier lite wanted more space got it down to the fox frontier x or xd and aqua pioneer 150 ..... made a massive mistake and brought the pioneer ! wish if brought a frontier ! my lite was so easy to erect and take down , there brilliant
I'm still hanging on to my titan as pro brolly I'm gutted she's leaking like a siv now with the winter skin on time to say goodbye after this trip I think 🤔🥲
Had mine a year now Ben and the best bit of kit I have brought
Mega kit

Awesome review. Definitely made my mind up, I'm ordering 1 tomorrow.
Glad I could help
How you finding the bivvy, happy with it?

Love mine,it's a beast!
Proper beast!
Great honest review ben right to the points we actually care about hearing too.
Thanks buddy! Hope your well.
@@Parkerbaits Im doing very well mate.
They seem to have great reviews I'm a tempest user my self looks like I'll be upgrading!
I’m seriously impressed mate to be fair
Oh no man, stick with the tempest. The frontier is good no doubt, but tempest is in a category all of its own. The material alone is miles ahead.
Can you pack it away with the groundsheet attached? Class review, not going into silly detail. Would you say it's big enough for two bedchairs or would have to get the XD
Get the bigger one mate definitely and no I take it off when packing away !
@@Parkerbaits thank you for the response
I love my Nash Titan t1 to much but have been looking at these great bit of kit and brilliant review 🤘🏻
Thanks Ash! Appreciate it mate

I need one of these clear doors!

Such a great bivvy! Will be upgrading mine soon with some extras.
Nice one will do that going forward
Do you leave your vapour peak on when dismantling the bivvy?
I do mate yeah!
Will give that a go save a few minutes 👍🏻
Been using mine a couple of years now no faults great all rounder 👍🏻
Had my last one over 10 years so I’m hoping I’ll do the same with this.
Great videos pal 👍
Cracking bivvy best I have owned in over 30 years. I have the XD version in Camo
Couldn’t get one in camo! Tried my best
Looks like a great piece kit
I love it
Try putting it up in the wind and rain. Also the foot Matt causes the bivvy to flood if water gets under groundsheet as Velcro isn’t full length. In minus 4 mines froze up inside. In the strong gales last week a pole snapped.
Won’t be trying that one out then mate! Heard the replacements are really hard to get hold of too.

Well said! Thanks for watching and commenting. Well worth the money, like you say.
I did the same mate very happy I did make the change it’s the tempest on steroids 😂
I have the standard frontier best bivvy on the market for me 💯
Good choice!
Totally agree - that’s a good idea thank you
I always look at the size of the bivvy packed up. This is a large unit to lump around.
It is on the larger size, not much different to my own one really. Always chucked on my barrow doesn’t make difference then.
Love mine, disagree about the weight, it is bigger and it is lighter than my old Trakker advanced 100 brolly, and for what you get I think the price is fair for what you get. Fair one Dan, was just comparing it to my old one which must be light. Great bivvy! Well happy with it.
@@Parkerbaits great vid though mate. Wishing you a happy and prosperous ‘23
I've just got the sonik extractor bivvy looks similar and only £200
I have the axs the worst bivvy I have ever had. Hope u have more luck!
Nice mate
I just got rid of my xtractor for a frontier. I had it a month and used it twice, and it fell to bits 👎 i'll never use another SONIK bivvy after that.
Got the fox ultra 60 for Xmas…. Well impressed so far.. fox do great Bivvy’s /Brolly 👍🏼
Good choice!
It’s the best bivvy on the market. Always been a tempest man but this is so much better. More sturdy and let’s zero light through when zip the door up
Yeah love that the light doesn’t come into the bivvy!
Nice bivvy that but im a tempest guy thru and thru cheers pal tightlines
Need to try one of these mate!
Good luck getting spares for them.....if it's anything like my leaky ultra brolly, it's near enough impossible. Obtaining anything off fox international is just hassle.
I really hope nothing goes wrong with it then! That doesn’t sound good

🤣 this made me chuckle! It is pretty heavy, I’m lucky I haven’t tried to do this yet by the sounds of it.

I paid 620 for this recently but it was the xd version with the inner dome and yes it is heavy..and expensive but it’s well worth the money !
Totally agree!! 👍🏻
Cant deny that's a mint bivvy but 700 quid is alot I remember paying 300 for my tracker slxv2 with the overwrap included it was years back tho
Yeah mate! Price is a sticking point
Anyone else had any issues with zipping the front on these?
I got the limited edition frontier (standard) - little did I know that fox don’t make a overwrap in camo or the social extension in camo either!
It’s a game changer Glen! Was a must have when I saw it.
@@Parkerbaits yeah agreed - if I done my homework before hand though and realised they didn’t make the overwrap for that size then I would have got the X version but agree, best Bivvy I have owned to date
My mate has the limited edition camo standard which comes with the matching skull cap.
@@alanh2062 yeah I got the skull cap but not full overwrap
great vid . I had the fox frontier lite wanted more space got it down to the fox frontier x or xd and aqua pioneer 150 ..... made a massive mistake and brought the pioneer ! wish if brought a frontier ! my lite was so easy to erect and take down , there brilliant
Ahh mate that’s a shame.. really happy with mine! Looks like you might be making a change soon then?
@@Parkerbaits yea 100% either the frontier x or the xd
I had the pioneer 100 and that bivvy is heavy as fook! Great bivvy mind but way to heavy.was about 14-15kg all in I think.
Hi Ben wish you said the £700 price at the beginning, most people can’t afford that so no need to watch.
Lol probably label the video as the x version 😂 I thought it was the standard all the way to the end
Ffs!!! You just made me buy one! 😜🎣
Hope you enjoy it!
Great bivvy but come on the price of £700 quid is a bit to much. especially with crisis situation and everyone struggling 😪
Yeah the price is a sticking point, would like to try the Nash/trakker equivalents. I know these can be cheaper.
Nah,nowhere near 700. The camo version is but this is 560 ish including vapour peak
only paid 500 for mine
They deffo saw you coming if you paid £700. As I said elsewhere, I got mine for £450, but the likes of Tackle Tavern are doing them for £545.
Maybe mate
Ben how dare you call it a tent. 🤬🤔
🤣🤣🤣 I knew I would get some grief about that
@@Parkerbaits you should know better. 😂🤣
£700+ Unbelievable what they charge for carp stuff now. Probably cost £100 to make.
Crazy mate!
Got my Frontier X for £450 and the vapour peak for £82. I just phoned around a few places until I was happy with the price.
That’s brilliant
All these bloody peaks and sheets should be included at retail....its a sheet of bloody nylon...pees me off
Yeah it’s a tricky one
FOX charging everyone of you CARP TAX, after seeing the Quest defier mk2 its a better bivvy better quality and less than half price
A lot of price whinges 🤷♂️ there are decent bivvies at all budgets, you’d expect the best ones to cost more.
Would be good to maybe compare a similar bivvy at a cheaper cost
£700 ,thats just ridiculous
Not cheap is it 😩
Calling a bivvy a tent tho 🤢😂
🤣 whats a bivvy? If it isn’t a form of half open tent, what is it? Call them a bivvy, you can charge big money 😉
I'm still hanging on to my titan as pro brolly I'm gutted she's leaking like a siv now with the winter skin on time to say goodbye after this trip I think 🤔🥲
Time for a new year treat 😏
