Firstly, it’s a really solid, well thought out review!!I had a few questions for you pls 1) I have the Trakker Aquatex 100 Brolly and the well known problem is the height. I’m also 5’10 and wondered whether there is a good amount of head clearance in the standard Frontier? I have no interest in the bigger versions, the footprints are impractical for the places I like to fish 2) Do the mozzi mesh panels on the 2 rear vents also zip and roll up ie: create a complete opening? The one thing I would like to see added to the standard frontier is vents on all sides (like the tempest) which would help with air flow 3) Now that you’ve had the frontier for more than a year how are you finding it, any issues with wear/leakage or anything else? Thank you

Now Chris thanks for watching and commenting mate. The ground sheet doesn’t need pegging points as it simply clips in and then can be pulled tight, meaning it’s easy to leave you ground sheet attached when packing away the bivvy
Nice bivvy but considering that it’s virtually the same as the JRC BLOXX compact which comes with all the extra bits plus a full overwrap to boot and is less than £200 all in, then this is massively over priced.
hi buddy thank you for commenting and watching.. the fox frontier offers a 20,000 hydrostiatic head and the JRC bloxx compact is only 10,000.. the jrc bloxx is £265 and the overwrap is £135 making it a total of £400, the fox is £500 and the wrap/peak is £75, making a total of £575.. only $175 difference when you break it down and i personally think its worth it for a bivvy twice as good. tight lines mate
@@TrickyCarping I stand corrected. Myself and 3 of my mates have a JRC bloxx compact 2G system with skull cap and the full overwrap and we all paid £199. The shop that were selling them had them on offer when we purchased them and have now increased their prices.
@@TrickyCarping we have yes as we’ve had them for over a year now and to be honest none of us are happy with the amount of condensation you get inside, even when you’ve got the full overwrap on. At the moment I’ve gone back to using my Trakker Pioneer Ultralight as I get absolutely no condensation whatsoever in all weathers.
@@biffder2000 I have the Bloxx compact and the main difference between the Bloxx and the Frontier is the material. Like you, I have real issues with condensation. Also, the material is so thin it lets in heaps of light. I also got mine cheap, but I think I will be replacing it. I was using a Fox Supa Brolly and overwrap and that has less condensation in the winter.
they sure are mate and they are only getting higher mate. personally its a price tag that i wouldve expected from a high end modern day bivvy (which this is) thanks for watching and commenting buddy
@@TrickyCarping I guess it’s my problem.. I’ve said it before many of us love our fishing and I’m sure we all spend more than we should at times.. Thanks for watching and commenting Craig, and can see the similarities as I said the same myself before it’s release, but quite a lot of differences mate 🎣
@@TrickyCarping if a design aint broke dont fix it, a nash tc pro has the peak already tackle companies are swindling anglers back not so long back bivvies/brollys had everything supplied, only thing that was separate was a winter skin, the blocks are the main difference for each company thats it
@@craigedwards3150 I agree with you there mate they’re splitting things down, but I do think that gives you the opportunity to buy things separately if you can’t afford the full bundle at once, nevertheless it’s a great bivvy and take nothing away from it, tight lines buddy thanks for commenting 🎣🎣
Would have bought one if it wasn't for the fact you have to unzip the whole damn door to put on another door i.e a mozie mesh door, what the hell lol, So when it starts to rain and you have the mozzie mesh door on you have to go out in the rain unzip the mesh door and zip on another door. That's pretty crap. Most good bivvys have the option to just roll up the outside to show the mozzie mesh under it, less faffing around with separate doors when its all in one. For a bivvy at this price to be without this option its a joke when ones 3 times cheaper have it.. I think Fox are getting worse, and that's saying something, a few years back i dropped my fox rod on the bank grass, the end / tip snapped off, on pretty long grass too! then the month after i was using a fox catapult to fire out ground bait and the actual plastic handle snapped, not the rubber band, the hard plastic!! lol. I was looking at this bivvy (reluctantly as it's fox made) and was going to buy it until i saw this video and how bad the options are, the options that should actually come with it like they do on all other bivvys lol. Then again, I'd probably buy one, put it up, go out side and a bird would crap on it and the bivvy would disintegrate, being made by fox 🤣
@@TrickyCarping piss take more like!!! Actually the fox one is pretty fairly priced compared to trakker!!! My M3 is looking a bit tired, maybe a purchase coming soon 😉
How does it compare to the new Camo Hide? Which do you prefer? I've got my name for hide, but with all the extras it's same price as the fox. Only thing worries me on the fox is those plastic joints look a bit prone to snapping?

Great review 👍👍 bivvy is really nice 👌
Thanks mark I’m glad you enjoyed it mate, are you tempted to get one?
Looks very smart that just order one
You won’t be disappointed Finn! Thanks for commenting
Great video mate!!!!!
thank you mcarp are you thinking of getting one?
@@TrickyCarping I'd like to but I'm undecided between Trakker, Nash and Fox
I enjoyed the video on the new Fox biv, thanks. But one thing id say is the background music was too loud and was a distract from your talking, I had difficulty hearing what you were saying. Just an observation.
Hi Tim a appreciate your comment and your feedback, I will take note for my next video, do you fancy buying one?
Great video I have the X and love it
Great bivvy aren’t they mate, have you tested yours much yet?
@@TrickyCarping not yet but put it up a couple of times, so we’ll made, can’t wait to get on the bank
I got the x to , when i set it up i found that the pegging point at the middle back was like 5 cm of the ground .
U guys didn’t had that?
@@jarnohoogland didnt notice that as only popped it up on hard flooring
Nice review dude well done
Thanks Chaz I’m glad you liked it 🎣🎣
Great review ,well presented 👍
Thank you Lee I appreciate it, you fancy getting one?
@@TrickyCarping defo thinking of the xd ,I've got the tempest 100t but the material let's it down, great to have the head room ,so hence looking at the xd .
Had the nash tc pro witch was a great bit of kit .look forward to seeing more of ya youtube vids ,keep up the good work 👍
@@leebarker6320 definitely get plenty of the room in the XD mate, thank you for watching and commenting, plenty more videos to come, make sure you hit the little bell icon to get a notification for the next video 🎣🎣🎣
Mantap kawan 👍👍👍
Nice video. I was looking for a vid like this a month ago when I ordered the X. Got it now so no problem.
I was looking at the Tempest advanced 150 but seeing as it’s sold out every where I went for the frontier X and must say I’m well happy with it!
Thanks Justin! I would’ve made the video a month ago but getting hold of them hasn’t been easy haha you were one of the fortunate ones to get it first
I have the X but a few weeks ago the plastic bit round the holes for where the overwrap connects, came off and will not go back on. Very poor customer service. Just don’t seem to respond. At the moment I would not recommend fox to anyone. Hope this changes.
Nice bivvy... Its abit expensive though.. I've got the trakker slx v3..
£610 for a bivvy.. Wow I'd never pay that much for a bivvy...
It’s worth it tho mate, cracking bivvy! Have you seen the new trakker bivvy? £1300.... now that’s expensive
Would be better if the ground sheet used the pegging points of the bivvy
Now Chris thanks for watching and commenting mate. The ground sheet doesn’t need pegging points as it simply clips in and then can be pulled tight, meaning it’s easy to leave you ground sheet attached when packing away the bivvy
The wide bed in the bivvy
I got the frontier x one not put it up yet they look smart tho
Thanks for watching and commenting steve 🎣🎣 You won’t be disappointed mate, I was very impressed
@@TrickyCarping looks nice simple as well put up and put down is the center boss easy undo when packing it away
@@steveadams5519 ye it’s couldn’t be any easier
I put my X up at the weekend, ss4 mf60 bedchair, loads of headroom, loads of space, yet a smaller footprint than the trakker 100 bivvy
@@pumba5322 what is the ss4 mf60 bedchair like is it comfy
great review,
Thank you Eddie mate much appreciated! Are you think of buying one? 🎣
@@TrickyCarping yes xd model
sorry , fox hd frontier
@@eddiefarrell2425 you won’t be disappointed with it it mate
good review
Thank you mate 👌👌 do you fancy one?
@@TrickyCarping yep...got two supras might sell one and buy one...
@@biffder2000 sounds like you and your friends have got yourselves a bargain then at half price, have you had chance to use it yet mate?
The prices are ridiculous now for carp gear
they sure are mate and they are only getting higher mate. personally its a price tag that i wouldve expected from a high end modern day bivvy (which this is) thanks for watching and commenting buddy
@@TrickyCarping I guess it’s my problem.. I’ve said it before many of us love our fishing and I’m sure we all spend more than we should at times.. Especially if we have bills to pay and kids to feed.. That said it’s nice bit of kit and you showed it very well.. Anyway all the best and tight lines sir👍👍👍
@@darrengrimmer8541 thank you very much Darren mate 🎣🎣
I hear a boro accent. UTB mate
You right mate you do haha utb we will
Get it next season
Just a tempest, is it not
Thanks for watching and commenting Craig, and can see the similarities as I said the same myself before it’s release, but quite a lot of differences mate 🎣
@@TrickyCarping if a design aint broke dont fix it, a nash tc pro has the peak already tackle companies are swindling anglers back not so long back bivvies/brollys had everything supplied, only thing that was separate was a winter skin, the blocks are the main difference for each company thats it
Honest review and in the snow👍🏻
Brilliant if it was £300, but £500 as standard, ffs!!! The costs of bivvies these days are getting stupid.
Have you seen the new trakker bivvy mate? £1300... now that’s expensive haha
@@TrickyCarping piss take more like!!! Actually the fox one is pretty fairly priced compared to trakker!!!
My M3 is looking a bit tired, maybe a purchase coming soon 😉
@@TrickyCarping what's the material like? Is it dark in there ( I like it dark)?
How does it compare to the new Camo Hide?
Which do you prefer?
I've got my name for hide, but with all the extras it's same price as the fox.
Only thing worries me on the fox is those plastic joints look a bit prone to snapping?
@@kidsstopmecarping2130 get one bought haha
16:43 funny it didnt show you trying to get it in the bag we all know thats the hard part
Sorry mate I didn’t realise I had cut that out, I assure you it’s easy, it’s an oversized bag so goes in with ease
Why does every carp video have this music?
I missed the very first seia, in short cool garbage!!!
Far to expensive with the extras they should come with the biv
It is a high end bivvy however buddy, you look at any other bivvy made from the same materials and it’s going to cost you
500 u got 2b joking
thanks for watching and commenting buddy and yes £500 and this is the cheapest of the 3 in the frontier range
The music is ridiculously too loud..... you only want it in the background.
Turned off your review due to this none stop music level. 😢😢😢
