About Lost in Space: The Robinson family was supposed to set off on a five-year mission to explore a distant planet, but an act of sabotage by the scheming Dr. Zachary Smith -- who managed to get himself trapped aboard the spaceship -- leaves them adrift in space for three years. The Robinsons, pilot Don West, Dr. Smith and their trusty robot move from planet to planet, always searching for a way to return to Earth.

This is the only episode where Don and Dr. Smith were ever going to be considerate and nice to each other because they both thought they were going to die then once they're saved Dr. Smith goes back to being nasty.
The Robot sure got cut down to small size temporarily. GREAT EPISODE!

John Williams four original scores for the series were the best! Most of what you are hearing comes from “Island in the Sky” from S1.

@@Workerbee-zy5nx Yes, i realize he went by Johnny Williams then and when he was scoring the TV series “Checkmate”. But he’s been John Williams for nearly 60 years now.

PULEEEEZE, Copyright Owners! .. we need the CHEEZE - with all its HOLES! - of the ORIGINAL LIS so that the child in all of us, regardless of our age, can come out as PARTICIPANTS! as we fill in the HOLES with our own Child Fantasies - as opposed to being CGI-Strapped onto amusing park rides with the sequels! ... Betcha that being with our inner childs makes us live longer!
