It is a similar parody of Dark Shadows where Barnabas and Julia Hoffman were in 1970 Parallel Time and they escaped in Angeliques room only to be time warped 25 years into the future 1995 to find Collinwood abandoned and in ruins. That storyline lasted 2 weeks before they were able to get back to 1970 Real Time.
Submit that the full magic of the original LiS was not fully captured by the remakes. ... More than its cozy, thrilling Winnebago-like camping ride through the Galaxy with family and friends, there were enough flaws and gaps in its effects to allow the child in all of us to feel PARTICIPATING with our IMAGINATIONS in filling in the gaps. ... Please do a corrected remake, but don't over-CGI it! - Please don't DICTATE our imaginations away! .. Thank you.

One of my have episodes as a kid, the last 2 seasons were campy, but this had a little suspense and mystery to it.
