She actually scored about the same in floor final because on her third pass (1.5 to layout full) she tucked her legs on the layout and got a downgrade and a deduction for it. That’s why the scores were so close to each other.
Romania were very lucky that Kramarenko scored a zero on vault in 2007 and that the entire Russian team bombed in 2008 so they were able to get away with two team Bronzes. They were a very average team during that quad.
They did well enough to capitalize on the mistakes of a team that was supposedly stronger, and that’s what counts. Luck plays a role in every sport and there’s no cause or need to selfishly try to downplay these young ladies’ accomplishments. They EARNED both bronze medals by producing results when others did not- simple as that.
The second one up had two identical first passes. Piked full-in was the first and it looked as if she was going for another full-in tucked but it looked piked to me.
Ponor retired after the 2007 Worlds, she finished 4th on beam behind two gymnasts who fell so I think she was deflated by the new scoring system and the coaching change in Romania tbh. She came back in 2011 when Belu and Bitang came back to coach.
Izbasa tucked her legs on one of her passes that was supposed to be laid out in Event finals which got a deduction and a downgrade as a result. That’s the reason the scores were so close to each other.
Can anyone tell me why Nistor's score was so low? Was it the low SV and her not completing the triple turn at the beginning? I really didn't think the routine was that bad.
5.9 D + 8.675 E. she didn't get credit for the split jump 1.5, triple turn, and i think the triple full, as her routine in that code would have been a 6.2 with everything given. split jump 1.5 (C), double layout (F), triple turn (C), tucked full in (E), switch half (C), triple full (E), front tuck + double full (C), switch leap (B) + split leap full (C), double pike (D); 3.7 + 2.5 = 6.2. in qualifications and in the all around she received a 6.0 with a completed triple turn, so the split jump 1.5 and the triple full must have never gotten credit. as for her E score, she was suffering from back spasms during this competition which affected her tumbling amplitude and flexibility. the tucked full in lands very low, the triple full has leg form, and her split positions were all short

I love Steliana and Sandra’s music. So perfect for floor!

Sandra izbasa: arte
BRILLIANT WORK ! THANK YOU GREATLY!! AWESOME!! VERY MUCH APPRECIERII!!
Sandra izbasa is giving me simona amanar vibes in this performance
The commentators must’ve chosen this most amazing routines segment for their piss break.
If Sandra scored 15.65 in the final which was without major mistakes, clearly this one in the TF should have been around 15.20-15.30

Oh my God you can hear them introducing Alicia Sacramone on beam right before her fall.
lmao and she falls at 2:15, jeez
Yes 2 fall
The crowd is so rude they were cheering when she lost her balance 😂😂😂

Why Ponor did not compete on Beijing 2008? She was “retired “ or get injured?
I don’t know
Someone knows ??

Five tumbling passes?
Yes. They don’t allow them to do 5 passes anymore. But it was quite popular during the 2008 olympics.
Omg there music is so boring id be like bathroom break let me know when usa is up
@QPHashSS77 Lol how are they cheaters?
@QPHashSS77 Any proof for any of that?
