About 10 months in, I no longer feel like I'm on a diet, I just feel like I'm supposed to, amazing, back to college weight and fitness is better than it's been since college too
Exactly…😎 the word diet is always associated with eating for a set period of time or until a goal is met … what actual just means - 1.
the kinds of food that a person, animal, or community is intended or habitually eats
That mind fog was the one for me, 40 odd years I lived in this state, just couldn`t figer it out, every now and then maybe once or twice a year I`d wake up and the fog would be gone, I couldn`t figer out what it was all about, I remember I`d wake and my mind would be working feeling great so I`d speak to people again, great I can hold a conversation then I would wake the next morning back to square one, the people I spoke to yesterday just thought I was doubley weird because I couldn`t speak to them, why bother if I can`t hold a intelligent conversation, after several years of this I learned even if I awaken mind clear of fog then don`t speak to people because I`ll not be me tomorrow, now Carnivore getting towards 2 years the mind fog has been gone for most of that time and month on month now I can feel my confidence growing in the solid state of mind I now find myself in and conversing with others returning to the natural state in which it should have always been. This is my reason that I`ll eat no other way now, the clarity of mind is more addictive for me than sugar ever was!
This is encouraging for me because I have this too - and the exact same response when talking or not wanting to talk to others. It worries me and I can’t be myself. Thank you for your info. It makes me feel better. 👍🏼
I just came across this channel. I was 375 pounds, im currently 225 pounds. Carnivore works for me too.
I wasn't a vegan but loved vegetables and I believed they were good for me. So I'd eat them almost every day. Then I started a carnivore diet because I wanted to lose some weight. I cut down on eating vegetables and ate more meat, eggs and butter. A few months into this kind of eating, I felt pain on my right side and later I had pain in my bladder. It was kidney stones. Oxalate dumping. So I stopped eating veges altogether. But, I began to miss the vegetables and I thought some salad wouldn't be bad. I was wrong. I suffered from bloating and muscle aches for a few days. Now I'm fixing my body by starting back the carnivore diet.
That happened to me, too. Very expensive emergency bill trying to figure out what was going on but it was worth it! I love carnivore! All the best to you.
@@jesusislord2164Tq
I keep one black tea every morning so I don’t get oxalate dumping ( I get rashes from neck to toes) it happens each times I go back to keto/carnivore. Now that’s it more than 6 months carnivore no coffee no chocolate just the black tea, not going back this is freedom head and body.
Ken here from TCL. Kerry great description of the Stages thanks you for all you share. 386 days and I still learn something new everyday!
You can’t hear the message enough times. Reinforcement is bliss 😊
I went straight to 100% carnivore and for the first 6 weeks i felt amazing but the last 2 weeks I've felt like I've been hit with a freight train and I've realized i should've eased into this diet rather than going all in because I've discovered after listening to Sally Norton that im suffering from oxalate poisoning/dumping and i nearly ended up in hospital until i seen her videos on how to manage this/these symptoms, i haven't really heard dr berry or Kerry talk about this as i feel this needs to be discussed because i have almost give up its been nearly 2 weeks of hell with this oxalate dumping but thankfully it's getting better now and im still doing the diet, drinking black tea really helped when i felt worst hope this helps someone not to go straight carnivore or just to be aware that this might happen even after years on this diet, thank you Kerry you and dr berry have helped me so far put my type 2 into remission my a1c is 4.6 and im of all my diabetic meds
It's almost like eating that crap is bad for you, huh? 😂😂😂
@@jvlbme no its the crap that my body stored from eating carbs and sugar and vegetables, dumping oxalates made me unwell not carnivore

I too have gone straight in 100% carnivore... Steak, salt water. On 7th day. My reason being. I've had debilitating microscopic colitis for a decade.. Watched a podcast with Dr Shawn Baker & Claire, (amongst much more research)
Claire is an elderly lady who had tried every diet to cure herself for years. But...

Wow, thank you for posting the basic stages of carnivore. I'm still burning body fat. I probably have 30 pounds to go. It's crazy to not be hungry all the time.

@@justadude4826 😢 you will find support here. 🙏🏼
I hear you. I have overweight family members who are taking all kinds of pills every day for years and years and not getting any healthier. Their doctors tell them to eat less Red meat. I eat as much read meat as I want and lost weight and my mental health issues started to evaporate. I was stuck in my house for months because of my mental health but not any longer.
@@justadude4826Hi. Hang it there. Learn as you go. Fat fat fat. I started this over a year ago and felt incredible. I learned I need to be better at stress management. And like drinking or any addiction had to change “ lifestyle “. Friends and family. Be around like minded or if friends wanted to go out to eat it had to have access to steak. Hamburgers out I am still tempted by buns FF and katshup. I have a lot of stress. Working on planning meals having what foods I need daily to avoid lessen a relapse. When I did this last it seemed easier and was able to get thru those stages like Kerry mentioned. Was the best I felt EVER!! Stay close to this and other channels. I always say in like. “ stay connected, stay protected “. God Bless. You too can do this❤
I hear you too. I have daughter who had gestational diabetes with her last pregnancy which sets her up for diabetes, a daughter who suffers from migraines, and one who does a lazy keto (but she’s stopped drinking alcohol and lost some weight). Their younger brother needs carnivore the most for his brain. I’m all but laughed at! However I think as they see me doing the right thing to improve my health I think they’ll start asking questions. I’m 75, had a mild stroke 2 years ago, was still healing from that, then someone ran into my car (with me in it!) earlier this year. So I’m moving from keto to carnivore via ketovore. I eat mostly meat, eggs, butter. Sticking with it!
I'm day 7. Going strong and feeling great. Thank you for all the info.

I've had microscopic colitis for a decade. Steroids made me feel worse. Become so debilitating I had to try something new. Never ate red meat b4. Now I'm living on it! Steak, salt & water. I felt exhausted first week. But lower back pains gone! So I'm persevering. It's tough but nothing worth having is never easy. I prey it helps you & your son 🙏

I already stated this for someone, but one more time... Fasting is not required on carnivore, but it deepens ketosis and brains will produce GABA(gamma amino butteracid) which can(and will) make you feel even euphoric🎉 I am doing Omad and I feel just great everyday.very calm but ready for action if needed.Just love it.
Am in day 2 🙏🏻

@@simirasnannie I have a question have you experienced constipation ?
@@gloriasantiago8684Dr Barry explains this saying your body will use all the food on carnivore so you will go less. I go less on carnivore, but I don’t worry about it because I don’t feel bad, nor bloated. Also, depending how long you’ve done carnivore there is a carnivore flu they speak of where you will have the runs. Maybe do a search on “carnivore and constipation”.
Been 99% carnivore for 2 years. I still drink coffee. 64, never been healthier, more energy, as strong as i was when 28. Train 7 days a week. Skin is younger and glows. Testosterone is very high. You are one of the many people that helped change my life for the better. I started in February I am now down over 50 pounds. I went from a size 40 Levi’s to size 33 and from XXL to a very loose Large. Buying clothes now is so easy . I don’t have to shop the fat clothes department any longer. Thank you for changing my life . God Bless you for helping humanity.

Man, I wish I knew you were up here, I would have come to see you!! Just returned to Clam Gulch after a very successful week of salmon fishing in Valdez. Thanks for all of your videos!!
I am 4 weeks & 3 days in! Still having intermittent tummy trouble. But other than that I feel like a million bucks! No more vertigo at all. Low back pain gone, blood sugars holding low & steady. Down 27lbs!!!!! Thank you for the inspiration!!!
i had tummy problems for 3 months straight. thankful i got through it!!
27 lbs in such a short period of time. 🎉
Congratulations!
I had diarrhea for two months straight every morning. I had IBS since my 20s , I’m 58 and no more stomach problems unless I eat at restaurants and they put something on my meat, I usually ask for salt only now.
I experienced the euphoria of high fat in my brain, I was volunteering at an event and the pizza came for the volunteers, 2nd day I caved and got my reward, couldn't make change after that pizza!
You are so right. Healing the mind. I have no cravings. Happy every day with my food choices. I love your family❤️. So happy for all. So Cal.
Every stage i have felt and self sabotaged because each stage has pit falls, and depending on your life, it's too easy to go backwards than forwards. Shows something so simple isn't necessarily that easy. But we learn and ee get back up and persist because there is no other better way and it does work. Sugar addiction is connected to many other aspects, not just eating it but creating and baking and sharing and hosting and celebrating with it. Others enjoy it, promote it, and continue to ask for it. So it's a constant conscious way of living. It's true that we need to slowly change those brain pathways and push those other habits out with carnivore options. But each time i fall, the brain fatigue and fog is another wall that needs to be pushed thru. Set backs are only setbacks.
A major problem i see for people is stress eating. Many of us have been raised to eat under dress, usually junk food for comfort.
I stop myself in "those feelings" and look for other ways to curb stress and tension. Sit quietly outside, read a book, sit in a hot bath, etc. I think it's crucial we look for other avenues to deal with stress while we are detoxing.
Kerry, I can't believe how good you look now, you glow with health, compared to where you were.... also your attitude seems to have improved so much, full of life. I said this in another video but you almost look like you could be a fitness model! Amazing stuff, thanks for the content
I wish many more people will start channels like yours. That’s what causes the “Tipping Point” as explained in Malcolm Gladwell’s book. 🇬🇧
Why don't you start one? :)
I agree with stage 6! Yes! Heal your brain first, then you have the umph and nutrients and lack of inflammation to go above and beyond , beyond where your brain has ever been before.. and really be able to make the most of every minute, mindfulness and other brain, health and habit exercises that you never had time or energy for before. Awesome
Stage 7 should be like a day of fasting, rest and worshipping the Lord's blessings and love. 🥩😊
I am an atheist, I will worship myself.
@deedeew4040 That's satans way.
Fasting is not necessary on this diet.

Been on carnivore for 9 months now. I regret thinking on two separate vacations that I could eat a standard American diet. I gained 10lbs back after losing 60, endured stomach sickness and pain due to the tortilla chips, hamburgers, pizza, deserts. I was miserable again. And the worst part was it took two weeks to break the carb sugar addiction again and it sucked more than the first time I did it January 2024. Never again…I’m on this train.

So glad I found your channel last year. You have really great content everytime I tune in. Plus its great to see and hear about others you have helped. Thank you! Cheers from Calgary.
I've been on and off it for 5 weeks. I get 5 days in and feel violently sick, nauseous and worryingly exhausted, then I eat some crap come alive and feel like junk the next day. Its almost like I'm dreading eating fat and protein because I know what's coming. I really need to ride out the suffering. Wish me luck. I'm going to really give it a good go from today
I also have a dairy allergy and crave butter so bad but I can't have it. I tried ghee but the texture and taste makes me balk when I eat it. Its awful.

You brought up a good point because I too thought this myself but I hear it so much from others about not connecting that the diet has a lot to do with their issues especially mental health, so I hear things like, AFTER I get rid of my anxiety, I'll be able to work on lowering my sugar, when both those things require diet change. It's amazing how our mind body and spirit do affect one another and we should be taking care of all parts for good health harmony, but everybody has to find that out on their own and hopefully will, otherwise you go on a never ending cycle right? How many of us have said that we wish we knew about this or that years ago! 😊

Thank you for this valuable advice. Appreciate all your efforts to educate us.
I think I just reached stage 4 at 6 months. Almost at goal weight. It's a challenge. But good to know it's part of the process.
Respect to you Kerry
3 rd week on carnivore, still get tired in afternoon. Don’t want to add intermittent fasting yet. Down about 15 lbs, brain fog is lessening
Eat more fat.
This video is perfect! Great job Kerry! One thing I would add is that it's okay to not eat. Water fasting has nothing but amazing health benefits. If you forget to eat, don't worry about it. Just don't eat. Make sure you are getting your electrolytes and water but that's all you really need.
This takes time, allow your body to heal itself and rest, the amount of toxicity and inflammation and recurring stress that's been going on your whole life will take time to release. That being said, I have found that I can have only 100% grass-fed meat. My body cannot deal with any grain fed. From all of my research I think the body needs to heal everything with saturated fats and it takes a long time to heal. All of those toxins and unsaturated fatty acids are in every cell and need to be cleaned out and rebuilt. I'm on 1 year and 1 month and still experiencing some things I didn't expect like afternoon fatigue. It had gone away during the early highs. So I nap. I'm trying to look at it like I really don't even know what my body's natural baseline levels are because I was never really naturally healthy before, it was all just coping and going from one trigger to the next.
Oh my God , I am loving you and Bill
😮my anxiety and depression and brain fog, tiredness, jumps back in FAST as soon as I eat something I shouldn't have eaten.

23rd day today
No brain fog anymore: new ideas, sharp memory. Then there's lots of energy, wrist pain from a year ago cleared (it was there all the time), no more dust mite allergy (!?), MUCH less anxiety than before.

I was told this long ago: Anything one man can do, another man can do. i am at about 7.5 months. I am in stage 4 atm :)
Day 2!
What stage is the stall? I lost 100 pounds in six months but stalled for over two months. I'm eating Lion with no cheats at all. Seems to be normal for many. I still have about 50 more to go. My only exercises are short walks, weekly yoga and occasionally playing in the ocean. I have lost 5 pounds in the last couple of weeks, so hopefully I'm on the right path.
Thank you for this.
Kerry Did you go all in when you first started or did you ease into it. Having trouble getting started but y’all inspire me. Thanks for all you do
I eased into it, in the sense of doing BBBE, and gradually cut out sugar and bread ect over the first month. I lost 50lbs in the first 90 days. It was truly unbelievable to watch the weight dissappear EVERYDAY.
how do you know what stage you are in. i need to lose around 35 lbs more and have been doing it for 6 months, but I have a stall. is that normal?
Big fan of your videos :) But on lion diet. How do you get calsium? And iodine?
Thank you again! It did help!
One week of feeling super sick, the next week I felt great...ibs bloating and symptoms for years, gone by the end of the 2nd week.
not keto flue ---> carb addiction withdrawal symptom 🥰
And oxalate dumping
It helps to think about the food you eat for your life and not for your pleasure!
“Proper human diet” all anthropological and archaeological evidence says we did not eat meat exclusively. It was only a part (of course, the most important part) of our diet so..
The constipation goes away? I heard thats because not enough fat /would be the ratio of fat a day?
Thanks Kerry.
Great video Kerry, but please could you stop doing the 'bleep' thing at the end. 😂
I think I'm in the ravenous stage but still in stage 3 and still have much more weight to lose.

I’ve been on carnivore 10 days today. I’m beyond disheartened. I’ve gained just over a pound. I promised my wheelchair bound friend I would help him today and now the time has come for me to help him and I can’t function. I can’t get up without shaking and muscle tightness so debilitating in my legs and back that I can’t stand for more than 5-10 minutes. I decided to cheat today and had half a potato. I’m praying my muscles will finally have enough fuel to allow me to help my friend. This is my third attempt and like the other times before, its THE SAME problem day after day with my muscles and heavy heart beat keeping me unable to walk or function. I can’t buy any products. I can barely afford the meat. I’ve never had so much difficulty losing weight as I have this time. Gaining weight is just more than I can take on top of being bed ridden from zero energy. I don’t have near the side effects I had the last two times so that’s a huge improvement but this muscle tightness and back spasms are keeping me completely immobile.
Sounds like you needed electrolytes.
It's the cramp that gets me to stop. I can have my whole leg cramp up!! I drink 3-4 litres water, lots of salt, electrolyte powder. I used ChatGPT and asked about joint pain (which comes back EVERY time I go back to 'normal' diet) and it basicly suggested strict keto or carnivore as I'm having issues with standard diet!!! It suggested my Electrolytes could be unbalanced. HOW can I check that???? It recommended LMNT but it's expensive in UK as it's from USA.
My experience has been different, but i am an odd duck!
Ive been on a carnivore diet for 2 months now. Ive lost 25lbs and ALL of my lipid blood markers went down. What’s up with that? Cholesterol 140 down from 230, triglycerides 50 down from 110, HDL stayed the same at 44, LDL dropped to 70 from 140, Cholesterol/HDL ratio 3 down from 5. Im having the reverse effects that all these doctors tell us. Ive been pretty much doing the Lions diet. What’s up any guesses?
I’m glad to see what you said about LDL levels as I am just about to start and that was my main concern 🙏🏿

You can look at it as a challenge within a challenge.
Cut only one of them back slowly over a month period. Then the other.
I still do coffee with heavy cream, artificial sweetener. My goal is to eliminate it.
I used to drink 2 to 3 Monster energy drinks a day. I used coffee/cream/sweetener as a "healthier" alternative to kick that addiction.
I am currently adding in Bubly drinks, which is just carbonated water, naturally essenced. I will use that curb off the coffee. After that, onto pure water only.
This system slowly and gradually, seems to work for me
Alcohol is your worst enemy. It's a poison.
Had my gall bladder remove years ago. How can I digest all the fat.?
The 7th stage is water fasting.
I’m so frustrated
I’m not loosing weight on this
Have you ditched dairy?
Ditch all dairy, once I went strict carnivore, meat meat and more meat, some eggs, weight came off. Cook with tallow, don’t use olive oil
your body has a new form all over!
It took me two months to adapt
I’m getting a t shirt, carnivore diet saved my life.
If you want to go into ketosis, you must be a pure carnivore.
I eat romaine lettuce and broccoli, about 3-4 times per day due to a folate deficiency. Otherwise, carnivore and I stay on ketosis. Ketosis is about the fat and intermittent fasting. Best regards.
2 months in, I got a bit sick of meat. Tried keto, felt like crap for a week. Went back to carnivore and felt great again. 1 yr on now I hang to eat meat all the time. And I'm getting as cut as wolverine 😂
Do you have enough energy to workout with weights?
Hello there and please forgive my question but I am curious.
If we should only eat meat how did our ancestors survive before they were able to make tools or create fire? As humans we are unable to kill or butcher an animal with our bare hands and the bacteria in raw meat makes it dangerous to consume .Surely Homo Sapiens ate easy to find and digest plant foods when gathering and foraging were the only way to find a meal.
Thanks
Thank you!!
