@@Ki77a_WhSpRz I cant speak for the OP comment or not. But I can tell you from my own experience, I lost over 150 pounds, reversed type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, NAFLD, low testosterone, and came off of all my medications. My labs have never been better, and my A1c went from 9's down to 4.9 I feel better at 49 than I did in my 20's. My own mother at 66 started carnivore because of my success on it. She was diagnosed with stage 4 renal failure, kidney function at 29% and also NAFLD. After one year of eating steak and eggs/ carnivore. Her kidney function is now at 86% and the NAFLD is gone. Carnivore works.
@Ki77a_WhSpRz nah definitely not a bot. A bots job is to assist the overlords in the enslavement of humanity therefore a bot would not be in support of Carnivore but veganism. You know the diet that is most harmful to a human.
Started carnivore 8 days before my ortho appointment for my sore achy knees. 2 days before appointment woke up with zero pain in knees. Went to appointment anyway and told the doctor about the turnaround and without even thinking he exclaimed "nothing to due with your diet , just a coincidence" at that point i decided i will never see that doctor again.
good choice i only have pain when i eat to many carbs, bpc-157 is expensive to buy constantly but its cheaper to do keto pizza every day. so yummy an no knee pain...
I've been on Carnivore for 9 months. I have lost 80 pounds. My A1C is now 5.1. My blood pressure now runs about 110/70. My Family Doctor has removed me from Metformin, Lisinopril and Amlodipine. The Carnivore Diet had been a life changer for me.
Awesome news, bro! keep going! Going on day four for me! Hope I dont fall flat on my face again and give in to the sugar and chocolate bars, Coke Cola and Funyan binges lol
It would be so much easier if my husband would eat this way too. I can't even get him to try keto. Keto has been brilliant for me but carnivore is the next step.
I'm 250 pounds , I got cancer in 2020 and I've been in horrible depression since. I have horrible belly pains that no one has been able to help me with. I even had exploratory surgery with no help. I found you on YT, and it's February of 2024 and I am going to try this and see if it can help me. Thank you for putting it on here for people to find. I hope it helps.
The only thing I can truly say to you is eating this way is life changing. But remember to do it a minimum of 90 days, I find even more benefits coming each month that passes. My husband and I started eating this way in April. After that many months, I will cheat now and then with something that I want to eat….. and I will say I pay for it the next day or two on the toilet! 😂😂 But cheesecake is so damn good 🙃🤷♀️ I think in three or four months you will come back here and say how happy you are to change your life by eating this way it is completely transformed our whole family
Well it's been just over 3 weeks. So far, I've lost 17 lbs. I'm sleeping better than I have in years. I think my skins clearing up. Just hope it cures my fatty liver. Thank you all for your support.
@@michaeljohnson2922 when researching cancer I discovered that the traditional Inuit had no cancer. That's why I began carnivore, to mimic the traditional Inuit. 😊
I just celebrated my one year carniversary, 60 year old female, started at 215 pounds on a 5.3 tall body. So miserable and lifeless, just trying to get through each day with all the extra weight and looming health issues. A year later, have been steady at 145, feel like I am 40 again, I love meat and I actually crave steak and eggs. We raise our own chickens so the eggs are fresh. I don't think about food the way I used to that is for certain. I used to live to eat, now I eat to live. And down to one medication, hoping to be off it soon!
Thank you for this. My wife and I started today on the carnivore diet. We live in Henderson Tn not far from you and my wife is from Camden. I’m 52 and she is 51. We cut out meat over a year ago and have had nothing but weight and inflammation issues ever since. I’m battling gout right now. We are ready for a change. We accept the 90 day challenge and started today with wild Turkey for breakfast and ribeye for supper.
57 year old male here who has been "ketovore" for 2 years. You would be shocked at the huge number of physical changes I've had, besides losing 40 pounds. Good for you, and just holler if you want to know what I experienced personally.
How can i help my microbiome adjust to carnivore? The diarrhea was not good and so in self defense i ate grains again. Help me. Please. I would love to try carnivore for at least 30 days. I also love salads and vegetables without dressing. So i will give it a go again but, more as a ketovore
@cherylkeithley7303 I'm 63 yr female, on day 37. I took the challenge, aiming toward 90 days. The first 2 weeks I had diarrhea, which , I found out is common. Although some ppl complain of constipation. Eat lots of fat, butter, bacon, eggs and water. So many comments just kept saying, Stay the course. Keep going, it'll happen! I've only lost 11 lbs, ish. But I do have a bit more stamina/energy . I think I'm losing inches ( yes, that's a thing) not so much poundage. Done correctly, this lifestyle will work, for both of us, and many others! Stay the course!😊
This will work for you if you stick with it. Give it 90 days. You'll see major changes. I started on July 1st and I'm absolutely pleased with the results. They just told me I was diabetic and now my A1C is down. I'm off my blood pressure medicine and I'm off lipitor. I feel great.
you give me courage to start at 70 yrs old. woman... thank you. seeking weight loss, no depression, high blood pressure etc. I have watched so many of the videos over the last few days. and I keep saying YES! getting stocked up. and cleaning out cabinets.
Almost a year now and I feel great I don't stick to it religiously but I am at times I have something else besides the carnivore diet I'm glad I didn't see this before I started it because when I first started it I ate about 12 to 15 lb of cheese every month and I felt great my joints felt great I had some stuff just a month ago and I ate peanut butter which I guess has a lot of fat I could have got my fat another why but I didn't and now I'm back to my full carnivore I still feel great never felt bad doing it the way I did it and I've lost like 14 in this year off my waist I'm a size 30 waist I was probably a 48 actually so good luck no more diabetic neuropathy I was never diagnosed I'm smart enough to know that I was starting to get at least type 2 diabetes and now absolutely no problems and no psoriatic arthritis nothing I feel like a million bucks and I'm 62 years old
@LeslieGibbons-xz7fu That's wonderful ! ❤️ Sooo very happy for you. What exactly did you eat on Carnivore ? I'm 71, almost 72. How long did it take to get over pain and health issues you might have had ?
Here is my healing updated list. To those new to carnivore- Carnivore diet cured so much for me! I update this list as time passes so it is always up to date, newest items at bottom of list. I have been zero carb carnivore for 11 and 1/2 months. * No more perimenopause- completely reversed! *Period cycles all timed perfect with 4 week intervals. And no PMS symptoms, but only the actual menstrual cycle itself! *No more night sweats *No more waking every 2 hours at night! *It used to take me 20 minutes or longer to fall asleep at night when I would first go to bed at night- before carnivore. Now it takes like a minute or less. Haven’t noticed since I am out fast! *No more life long eczema *No more cold hands (may have been Reynold’s disease, never diagnosed.) *No more cold body temp in general! Used to feel like a reptile - only warm in texas sun. (may have been Raynaud’s disease, never diagnosed.) *No more IBS symptoms (gas, bloating, stomach pain, constipation, diarrhea) *No more feeling low energy by 12pm and zombie by 4pm *No more purple looking hands in winter (may have been Raynaud’s disease, never diagnosed.) *No more brain fog *No more arthritis that I felt in hands, knees, and hips- or elbows *used to have sore hips when sleeping on my side. No more! *Lost 45+ pounds from former baby weight and peri menopause weight. *Always had 20/20 vision with slight stigmatism- but in March doctor said my stigmatism is reversing! *Don’t sunburn as easily anymore and tan well. *Wrinkles around eyes seem to be much less. I am 46 and look like I am in early 30’s. *Gums look super healthy. Dentist seems irritated as my teeth are not dirty when cleaning every six months. Think they know they won’t make money off me. *No more sore chest from monthly periods- no swelling feeling of fullness or discomfort that prevented me from sleeping on my stomach. Now I sleep every night on my stomach! *Fibrocystic Breast issues reversing! Almost all gone after 6 years of buildup! *no cravings unless they are for meat *no more angina symptoms before a period- which started about 3 years ago. *No more feeling weak like almost passing out and dizzy around ovulation and periods when walking around. * no more fingers swelling- that started a few years ago- rings kept being tight- is pattern I noticed. One ring I had resized larger and it’s super loose now. Will have to resize smaller. *feel stronger- now lifting barbells not just hands weights. Dr. Baker said since I am 46, and 5’7” at 122lbs- need more resistance training to add more muscle weight. . So bought a 47lb barbell off Amazon and have 40 extra pounds added to it. Will continue to progress with that. *Before carnivore- i had started growing grey hairs in one of my eyebrows, few hairs at a time, but no grey in my blonde hair yet - but assumed it was coming. Now on carnivore I have had no new grey hairs growing in eye brows and still no grey hair in my natural blonde hair. And in the sun it gets super light highlights. * no more body odor! * I used to get a little anxiety with large crowds- like if attending special events- but since on carnivore I don’t get it that much. *I was a bit OCD before carnivore, but so much more relaxed so barely like that. * I was a relaxed person before, but somehow am even more relaxed and never stress about things. *Since I was a young child my sense of smell has been terrible. But not even a month in on carnivore my sense of smell has gone crazy! I smell things even far away! Amazing! *no more allergies! I was allergic to cedar and oak pollens- and mold- but since carnivore I am no longer reacting to those outdoor pollens which is amazing! * I have had no more issues from ear wax build up. Had it twice after having kids and docs would say it was a hormonal problem. Carnivore cured that too! *Veins in my arms look healthier. They were almost invisible before. *Legs no longer hurt on longer road trips or plane rides! *I used to get a popping sounds in my right shoulder when lifting weights. Was probably a pulled ligament. That is now gone! *I have been lactose intolerant since I was a kid, and I feel my nails are a bit stronger than before. They do break if I catch them on things but I feel they are getting stronger on carnivore. *My teeth look more white on carnivore. *My blood pressure has improved on carnivore. 6 years before carnivore up to starting carnivore my blood pressure was increasing. Now on carnivore it is back to normal like when I was younger. Last reading it was 100/75 which is awesome! *i used to get eye twitches in my eye lids, but that is gone. * at times when trying to fall asleep I would close my eyes and at times felt dizzy like falling feeling or spinning. But haven’t has that since I have been on carnivore for 11 months. *the skin on the heals of my feet are no longer cracked and dry! (Newest update added!) *when laying still in bed to fall asleep at times I would feel dizzy or feel like I was falling through the mattress a bit. I would be laying still and get that suddenly. Felt weird and made it hard to fall asleep. Never diagnosed with vertigo, but it may have been that. I no longer have that since I have been carnivore, which is nice! *little leak from sneezing or coughing that ladies get from estrogen dominance is gone on carnivore! Hormones balanced so no more estrogen dominance! *always had a little numb feeling on top inner corners of big toes. Never diagnosed. Now 1 year in I realized it is almost completely healed. I can feel the nerves in my skin. If I think of anything else will add. ☺️👍🏻 I know when people go on carnivore they are trying to heal something, but if they aren’t like me and notice small things- they may not notice they are healing way more than they realized- things plant foods were causing! And they need to remember, processed foods are made from plants- but so are whole foods (raw or cooked!) they are all toxic! The carnivore diet cures! ☺️👌🏻 The body is a network made of multiple gears- and if one gets messed up it causes a whole domino affect of problems like I had! The carnivore lifestyle is not a fad, it’s the ancestral human way of eating! Go Carnivore for a few months and see how you feel! ☺️👍🏻
God and you Dr Ken, are responsible for me being successful on the carnivore diet for 15 1/2 months. No pain, off all medications for Lupus, arthritis, inflammation. I am in my 77th year of life and love being healthy. God bless you and your family.
God is number one, the main reason! We cannot do absolutely anything without Him. And Dr. Berry was definitely sent by God😊You are so right. All the best❤
After my 90 days, 3 years ago, I had an awakening. My mind was clear, my weight was down, my back pain was eliminated, skin cleared up, cysts in my breast shrunk, and I had a pituitary tumor that shrunk. Many many benefits. Thank you for this updated beginners guide.
@@Olenka79 it’s that. I haven’t had another scan since that one but I’m curious to find out any more about it. It’s just expensive. I recommend very low carb and walking to reduce cortisol levels. Cut out greens as they are high in oxalates and it’s very toxic to glands and gut. Wish you the best in your journey of health!❤️
Hi, I have a pituitary brain tumor that was removed and 2015, but now he’s growing back. Actually, I was very afraid to do the carnivore diet because the tumor is growing back. Thank you for your comment. I will try it. After the brain, tumor removal, that pituitary stalk that connects with the hypothalamus, is gone. So after the surgery, I started the hormone replacement, which means that I had to take six hormones a day for the rest of my life, and I still don’t feel great. Definitely I’m gonna try this carnivore diet. Your comment has inspired me.
My son and I started carnivore and it is amazing! Only 4 weeks now and I already sleep better, wee less (although I drink the same amount of liquids, more or less), and I move better. Both of us don't feel sluggish anymore. I do use full fatty cream in my coffee and I eat a few pieces of biltong (dried, cured, fatty beef) during the day and sometimes a piece of cheese...it doesn't affect me at all. Thanks Dr Berry for everything you do and teach me ❤
I've been on the full carnivore diet for 7 months. In my experience, everything Dr Berry has said is true! I've lost 33 pounds, my labs and vitals are those of a very healthy 20 year old. I'm 66. I feel great! Inflammation/spondylosis in my lower back is gone. This is the PHD!
Me too- it’s such a huge relief bringing an active life into enjoyment! I avoided a diagnosis of the AS for 20 yrs; the diagnosis of For the rest of your life… you will take Pharmaceuticals! Screech, no god dam way and then, seeking a food solution I found the Carnivore diet & lots of supportive videos. ❤🎉
I’m being checked for Ankylosing Spondylitis and I keep feeling discouraged as all I hear is that AS inflammation won’t be helped by carnivore or keto !
@@johndiaz2853 "A general term for age-related wear and tear of the spinal disks. Spondylosis is common and worsens with age. This condition is often used to describe degenerative arthritis (osteoarthritis) of the spine."
My favourite 'non-scale victory' on Carnivore is that I no longer think about about food all day every day, as I did in the past, even when on Keto. Such a feeling of freedom!
I find that I still think about food quite a bit. Carnivore for about 4 1/2 months now. I go between OMAD and 2MAD, and especially on the OMAD days I keep consciously looking forward to supper. On the 2MAD days I look forward to lunch. I had no problem giving up breakfast though and never think about that, so at least there’s that win.
@@thirstywatersfreeaudiobookshabitual things and expected feeding times are part of human biology, so expecting food vs being hungry is a subtly different feeling. I usually go for some water if I think I'm hungry and sometimes that fixes it. I don't eat fully carnivore, but few years in and I eat stuff like plain Greek yogurt, 18% cream, and most of my calories come from meat. I cut down on the fat quantity a little, as adding it in was more than enough. Cheap lean ground beef, sausages that are half off, eggs, sometimes I'll have chicken and pork and make other things with some carbs like chilli or such, but I never have grains of any kind. Sometimes some fruit (that I pick off the plant) and some veg like cabbage, onion, carrot, squash. Eat 2-3 times a day usually. Just go by hunger. My roommate lost 100lb and now is 160lb like myself, at 6'. I transitioned to basically eating a lower carb version of what my great grandma and gramps eat and still have them alive and driving today. Notably, they don't have sugar nor much grain, these days at least. It's always meat with a side of veg when I visit.
One day i felt so hungry and i realized its 6pm and i haven't had any food for the day. Totally skip breakfast and lunch. How the heck am i not hungry?😂 Carnivore diet rock!!!
Kia Ora ! me too from Aotearoa 💙💚I am looking at doing Carnivore too but freak me out - do you eat any fruit and vegies ? I am no longer pre diabetic but every time I eat carbs i am always hungry. I tried Keto but felt a bit sick on it, like I was eating too much protein and not enough fats . I felt it was too stressful for my body.

My husband and I started keto/ketovore a year ago on Jan. 1, 2023. My husband has lost almost 100 pounds and I have lost 38. We both have more energy, better mental clarity and few aches and pains in our 60's and 70's.
8 years a vegetarian. Started the carnivore diet a week ago because of painful chronic inflammation for the past 1 1/2 years. Can now walk without pain. Working through the digestive issues & skin breakouts…committed to 3 months. Thanks doc.
Dr.Berry is speaking the truth. At first I too was skeptical, but decided to give it 2 weeks trial. I’m now 6 months into it and lost 50 pounds so far. No joke. Prior to 03/2023 I weighed 196 pounds, I now weigh 147 pounds and have easily maintain this weight for several months now. I have lots of energy and no longer have joint pains. Carnivore diet is very simple and easy routine to follow. I’m not a doctor or nutritionist, just wanted to also share my own personal experience for those who are in skeptical, like I was initially.
@@gregory2721 first off I wish you success on whatever choice you feel is right to improve your overall health. That said, I’m no doctor, no physician or nutritionist. Just your average Joe that wanted to try Carnivore lifestyle to see if it helps me with my own health needs, which it certainly did. As to your original question about meds, it would be wise to consult with your personal doctor/physician and form there have a heathy discussion on how to track/monitor your progression in whatever health plan you end up choosing that feels right for you. Only you can know how your body is feeling/reacting in your journey to a better/healthier lifestyle.
@@gregory2721I’m not a doc, so take with a grain of salt: Dr Berry said it takes 3 months to replace the red blood cells which are used to measure your average 3-mo blood glucose levels. These determine your Hemoglobin A1c (>5.6 is too high), which is the test for diabetes (along with fasting blood sugar: >100 =pre-diabetic; less is normal/healthy). If you have a continuous glucose monitor or do regular ginger sticks, you can check your morning fasting glucose. Your doc will want to see consistent
My why was an A1C of 12.6. Slowly cut carbs and followed your advice on the proper human diet. 9 months later my A1C is now 5.5. Thanks Dr Berry for helping me reverse my Type 2 Diabetes. My Dr is amazed. She said I'd always be diabetic and had to take Metformin. I proved her wrong, I never took one of those Metformin pills and reversed my Diabetes. 👍
James, you said you slowly cut carbs. Can you tell me how you managed that? I'm trying to go low carb but it makes me so sick if I have very little. And I'm definitely not interested in this carnivore diet because I know I can't stick to it, and honestly, I'm not convinced that it's healthy. Obviously what I'm eating right now isn't healthy but I think I can manage a low carb diet if I cut down slowly. I just don't know. I'm at a complete loss here. 😢
@@curiousc9259 I Started cutting out stuff like cereal and bread. Then I found Fairlife ultra pasteurized milk that's low carb. Then I cut pasta, beans, oats, and grains. Measuring carbs I started with 100grams of carbs a day for a week or two then cut down to 60g a day for a week or two. Then 40g a day for a week or two. Every time my blood sugars would level out and stop coming down I'd cut more carbs. I started skipping Breakfast and now have brunch that's mostly Bacon, sausage, or Pepperoni sticks, eggs and coffee. Sometimes I make Brown butter with Bacon in it. It's called Bacon Crack. The recipe is on UA-cam here somewhere. I consider myself Ketovore. I still eat celery, nuts and a few above ground veggies. But I have to stay around 20g of carbs a day. I just try my best to follow Dr Berry's advice and avoid Processed food and only eat animals products. Best advice I think I've heard is Ice Cream and milk is for fattening up kids and babies. It's a treat don't eat it often. 👍 Best diet challenge I've tried was Beef, Butter, Bacon, and Eggs (aka BBB&E) who doesn't like Bacon & Eggs. Beef can be subed for any protein. Pork Rinds are a staple around our house now and we no longer have a canned goods cupboard. 👍 Hope I helped answer your question.
@joykaralyn at first I didn't realize all the carbs I was taking in. Naked carbs like in peas and beans. Watermelon, oats, and regular whole milk have lots of carbs too. It took me a while to realize these where bad because my Dr kept saying they where good. That and always think of portion size. Instead of a huge scoop of stuff like rice or Mac salad just have a little 1/4c to 1/2cup size scoop. I've been sneaking organ meat into our meals. Mostly beef heart and liver ground into our hamburger. I try and mix 1/2lb heart and 1/2lb liver with 4lbs 80/20 hamburger. No body knows if I add more heart meat but if I add to much liver I get complaints. 🤣🤣 My diet support system kind of sucked too. I got told "It's OK, just a little or just this once won't kill you!!!" So I cheated a little every once in a while. Once or twice a week. Eventually even a little doesn't sound good. Like you know how it's going to make you feel icky after eating it. I still eat hamburgers on a bun. I just try and double up on the meat, cheese, and pickles. If it affects me I feel like I ate a brick. Real heavy in my stomach. It also took a wile to slowly eat the garbage food we did have. I was raised to never waste food. LOL eventually I stopped buying it so I didn't have it. LOL 🤣 Hope that helped. 👍
I am 17 y/o and have suffered from horrible cystic face and body acne for too long. I also get bloated and belly pain almost every time I eat. I’m sick of feeling sick and ugly! No more sugarcoating things for myself. I have to take measures into my own hands because any doctor I’ve ever seen has immediately tried to put me on acutane or birth control after one 30 min visit. I’m starting carnivore TODAY.
@@venom7774 thank you for the suggestion. We have considered it but ultimately decided to not do that because the cons outweighed the pros for me personally as a young woman. I have eliminated all carbs and sugar and I’ve been doing this for only a week and I can say that I FEEL a difference in my body but haven’t seen a difference with my acne yet. I will continue this and let my body have time to heal as I know nothing changes overnight. Thanks again for your suggestion!
@@gabbyphillips3220 acne will clear up once you reach homeostasis, which means once your body has cleared itself of toxins and carcinogens, along with the sugar and carbs. You may actually get more acne for the first few weeks, but after that your skin will clear up in a week or so, as long as you continue to eat no sugar, low carb, your acne should continue to go down, hormonal acne is real, but the hormones that control it can be regulated through carnivore!
I had stage 4 throat cancer, and that was my reason for going on keto. I'd had 2 radical surgeries 3 days apart, and I was very fortunate that they were able to remove it all. But I knew I had to do my part in making sure I did everything to prevent it from returning. I lost 15 kilos and improved so many issues that had crept up over the years. I am 66. I have been free of cancer for 6.5 years. I fell off the keto wagon a while back and started feeling my body and brain, aging quickly, so climbed back onto that wagon. Recently, I did a 3 day fast with Dr Mindy Pelz, eased back into eating (keto) then started the carnivore diet last week. I wish you all the best ❤ What I believe to be important, is to have faith that you are going to be healthy and well. And every day, have a moment of gratitude, even if it's appreciating the birds in your yard, or the love of your pets, a sunset, or anything beautiful that makes you smile. Also, as my youngest son wisely pointed out, Mum, you need to stop and smell the roses.🌹 Take care, and don't be afraid to heal yourself 💜
I started carnivore diet 3 weeks ago. 2 weeks low carb and 3rd week full carnivore. My knees and back have stopped hurting and I am beginning to feel much better. My greatest plus, I have COPD pretty bad, 5 days after going full carnivore, my lungs are beginning to heal up. And it's really a noticeable difference. I am amazed at the difference. Thank you Dr Berry for telling us what my Primary refuses to tell us.
I've noticed when I've gone low carb being able to breathe much better. Something with the high sugar/carb food makes me more asthma prone. Get this, I can have all the veggies, fruit, and meat with no problem. Adding in processed foods tho, that's a problem.
Thanks for sharing this! One of my "why"s it mild asthma (lungs tested below COPD levels when it gets bad, other times I test at 100%), and if there's any improvement at all it will be 100% worth it.
@warrenthiesen46 Please rewrite your 2nd, long sentence. Instead, make it 2-3 short sentences. What you're trying to say, now, is not clear to me. Blessings!
I’m 56 and I’ve been doing this for 5 days. I wanted to go carnivore because of fatty liver, hashimotos, hormone imbalance. Plus I wouldn’t mind dropping 25 kg in the process (55 pounds). I’ve started with ketovore. I’ve been doing beef, lamb, chicken, pork, eggs, butter and cream, plus salmon and tuna. Occasional onions and some green veges and olives and avocado. I’ve joined Kelly Hogan’s group for April. First few days I was tired and sluggish but I found your video for your ketorade and that’s been a game changer.
carnivore for 6 months. lost 1-2 pounds a week. um... still had a glass of wine a night. STILL SAW RESULTS. I shouldn't have alcohol, but at least I'm trying to follow it. I love what carnivore has done for me. I feel much better. no pre-diabetes. joints lubed by the fat consumption. more mellow with my outlook. eyes not dry. so much more. I literally could feel the visceral fat reduce.
Sounds excellent! And even a glass of wine at night. 🍷I confess, I had one teeny piece of dark chocolate tonight. I'm a newbie with this carni diet and sometimes I just want a tiny taste of something different. But I'm 99% faithful. Good to hear your good results!
@@davidsim6906 I finally bought a weight scale five days ago. Looks like I'm losing 0.8 lb per day???!! Holy moly! You're right, this is most delightful!! Roughly 1.5 lbs. every three days. Wow!!
Dr Anthony Chaffee, also a carnivore physician says, if you have to fall off the wagon on occasion, simply get back on. I also have a glass of wine when I go out, but limit it to one per week. Its my single indulgence.
I’ve been doing this for 5-6 weeks. I’m down nearly 30 Lbs. Knee pains nearly diminished. Feeling a little more energetic. I’m a truck driver and so I’m not consuming too much. Snacking on ribeye strips, water not soda. Electrolytes. Yeah.
I am not 100% carnivore. I drink coffee and use spices. In 5 months, I have gained 15 pounds of muscle. Friends and family say I'm looking good. I am down to 29 inches from 32 in my jeans size
Same, brother. For me, including some spices and coffee with heavy cream makes everything so much more enjoyable. Just make sure everything is good quality and without added sugars. All I want to say is, even if you're not 100% strict you can get amazing results. Good luck to everyone.

I have been carnivore for 1 month now. I lost 11.4 pounds in that first month. My skin is clear; I used to suffer from hormonal acne. My energy levels are amazing! My gums have stopped bleeding when I brush my teeth. My joints are not stiff and sore; I am regaining flexibility that I lost. I am sleeping more sound. My fatigue is gone. I no longer want to cry when my alarm goes off in the morning. I no longer feel like I desperately need an afternoon nap. I have stopped napping altogether.
Last summer i did intermittent fasting keto Only eating any meat / fish , salad and non starch veg. 3 weeks in, I went from walking with a cane, low back and knees pain. To no cane, walking quickly, going up and down stairs easily, glowing skin, tons of energy!! Literally a miracle!! I did alot of research on intermittent fasting, after 16 hours not eating counting sleep time, your body produces stem cells, which heals your body, the inflammation went away from not eating sugar and any wheat or starch. I went back into old eating habits loving bread and pasta being italian, and eating sugar. Im back to square 1 !! Knees pain, low back pain, lower energy, difficulty walking up n down stairs. So back at it started today. I know for a fact it works
I started this on June 1st. I'm 57 and 5'11" and had spent the majority of my career sitting behind a computer which led to me hovering around 220lbs most of my adult life. Due to a layoff and other circumstances, I began driving a semi truck in 2017 thru fall of 2021. Those four years added sixty pounds to my already overweight frame. Last year my father died and I've been stuck in a hotel dealing with his estate since - the combination of which led me to eating a bunch of garbage (chips, cookies, microwave meals, etc). I never weighed myself, but I'm quite sure I was pushing 300lbs by May of this year. I had bought some t-shirts in March that were 3x and after getting home felt awful realizing I probably should've gotten 4x as they were tight. Again, June 1st I went 100% carnivore. I leaned on pork rinds more than I probably should've and ate those, hard boiled eggs or Braunshweiger as 'snacks' (I see your video here says no snacks, so I failed on that). I had bought some Harley T-Shirts back in January that were 3x - when I got home I realized I should've gotten 4x as they were horribly tight. So, I was amazed that after about 60 days into Carnivore, 100% other than snacks as mentioned I was down a full pant size. To be clear, I was really probably down 2-3 pant sizes as the pant size I started with was very tight and I hung over the belt line pretty terribly. I went to a concert two weeks ago and had to buy a nice shirt, slacks and a sport coat to attend. I had travelled a few states over to the friends house who started me on carnivore. He and his wife were thrilled to see my progress. We went to the store and I automatically headed to the big-and-tall section when my friend stopped me and said I'd probably fit in a 2x shirt. I laughed it off, but went ahead into the dressing room with a 2x shirt. I was shocked to find that it fit comfortably with no worry about wearing a t-shirt underneath it. I was flabbergasted!! Some of the things I've noticed in the last few weeks: 1) I don't even care about the carb loaded crap I used to love. I look at the things I used to be drawn to and it doesn't even whet anything in my appetite at all. It's nothing to just keep walking down those aisles at the store. 2) I had severe allergies the last 15 years. I would wake up every two hours because my sinuses were clogged and my mouth would dry out as a result. Now, I still suffer a bit from allergies - but NOTHING like I used to. I can sleep through the night now!! That is HUGE!! I'm down to having sniffles, sneezing a bit and blowing my nose 3-4 times a day during this season change. UNBELIEVABLE!!! 3) I just noticed I can bend over and tie my shoes without holding my breath first! 4) I can wrap a hotel towel around my waist and it doesn't fall down! 5) I don't have to pull my pants up every 4-5 steps like I used to, I don't have to pull them up at all!! 6) Many aches and pains I associated with getting older have disappeared or have been significantly reduced. I still have a long way to go to get to my ideal weight, but I know following this Carnivore diet is going to get me there!! I have watched a number of your videos over these last few months and I appreciate all the information you are providing to us newbies!! It's very hard to break the societal norms of what is considered 'healthy food' and your channel is one of the ones that I relied on to help me unlearn what I had spent an entire lifetime learning. My buddy and his wife started just over a year ago and are huge fans of yours as well. We just got our boss to start Carnivore today - we saw him last weekend and seeing really is believing (when he saw us and did a bunch of double-takes)!!
Way to go man! I was doing so good on it when I started and then got worried when I was not pooping as frequently as I thought I needed to was less than once a week so I got off, but now after gaining it all back ready to commit 100% Thanks!
I started the 90 day BBBE challenge on 1st January 2022 and I am still mainly carnivore and I have so much energy and even do kettlebells and Body Pump at my local gym!! I am a 74 year old woman with osteoarthritis too!!
I have tried Keto and Carnivore for a few years and never lost a pound. I said I would never do it again but listening to Jason Fung showed me what has been going on. I take 200 units of a condensed Humalog insulin and it makes my glucose worse every time they increase the units. It causes me to gain weight and makes my glucose worse. I now am getting readings in the 500’s but won’t call my Endocrinologist because they will just increase my insulin again. I can not even walk anymore and I never could convince them I was eating low carb. I have felt so hopeless. He mentioned you can not treat Hyperinsulinemia with insulin. It is like treating an alcoholic with alcohol. My husband agreed to eat my freezer full of Nutri System meals so I can try Carnivore again. I started yesterday, and after watching this video, I commit to 90 days. I will be patient this time and won’t be afraid of fat.
If you follow this religiously, and are seeing no weight loss, consider watching Dr Paul Mason and his take on lectins, as lectins may well hinder weight loss. Good luck!😊
I’m 13days into carnivore , being very very strict this first 90 days , have really only ate tri-tip , bacon and eggs for 2 weeks , and I did this strictly to improve my stomach/gut health., and it’s like a miracle diet , all those years going to the medical doctors was a waste of time , just made my gastrointestinal problems 60% better almost immediately from this diet ….TMI-… the shits are insane , the people are right
I'm on day 18 of ketovore, I got told today that it is not sustainable, I didn't say anything, but I thought if my why is big enough it will be, I look at Kelly Hogan, her why was powerful and she has stuck to it. Thank you Dr. Ken ❤
I just found you on UA-cam yesterday! My why is to have a better quality of life. I want to sit in a chair, get in a kayak, zipline and many other things I used to do without the worry I will exceed the weight limit,😔
I encourage folks to get a nice notebook and a cool pen at the start of this personal experiment! Start by documenting your WHY? - be as specific as possible, include every motivator, concern, issue that you're looking to leverage and/or deal with by making this change. Keep track of how you're feeling each day - physically, psychologically. Anything and everything you notice. Include bio markers / blood work results (good to get a baseline set of labs!). Resist relying on your memory to help you appreciate how you're progressing. Draw pictures! Add inspirational learnings / quotes / people that you've encountered that support your decision. Keep the notebook handy! During 'tough' days, take time to pour a glass of water, sit down and reflect on your notes, this will usually work to reinvigorate your efforts!
I'm 380 and was very active when I was younger. Now at 36 I'm not nearly as active and being overweight doesn't help.. constant joint pain and stiffness. I just started carnivore last week and can already feel the difference with joint pain and quality of sleep. I hope to reverse all the diabetes and weight problems so I can be my self again!
I've been strict carnivore for almost 6 months and I went from 288lbs to 211lbs this morning. I'm more comfortable in myself at this point and feeling better.
Wow. How often were you eating in a day? I want to go canivore but I am afraid I will still gain weight if I don't do OMAD. I tried it for one day and I was peeing a lot.
@@gennyjoe686 I would usually eat once a day or whenever I was hungry. You aren't hungry near as much on carnivore. Carbs make you hungry more often. Fat is a better long term energy source. I'm enjoying the freedom to eat when I want and as much as I need without gaining weight. This way of eating works for me. Just make sure if you go with this to get some keto chow electrolytes. The electrolytes are essential to not getting the keto flu.
I’m 69, started Carnivore/Keto at the end of March ‘23. I have lost 60 lbs to date (Oct ‘23). It’s the most effective form of eating I have ever done. Feel great, feel like a young man again!
I'll be sixty-nine in March. Started my carnivore life style last week. Can't believe how light I already feel! I still use mini amounts of sprouted bread and very small amounts of various veggies, but it seems more and more , I'm becoming content with just meat. I'm excited about this journey and love reading about all the positive results from folks.
Linda, Everyone reacts differently in the beginning… #1. Carb and sugar intake is always the culprit. I kept track to how my body responded to certain foods. The scale is the truth, not the package label. My sister just got started and had some difficult first days. Now she is moving downward on the scale. You are your own best dietician. Study how your bod reacts to certain foods. That is my best advice! Keep it up. This is a comfortable lifestyle change. Easy to maintain and have foods around the house that are easy and delicious. Cravings disappear and your bod tells you, “this is fun, I like it!”
I did keto from 7-19-22 to 8-1-23. Started Carnivore 8-2-23 until present. There are no plans to return. Over 110 lbs lost now. I'm under 25 lbs to go to get to a surgical place for spinal fusion. Dr. Berry's information is changing people's lives. I wish more people would actually listen to what he is saying. Thank you Dr Berry.
I kinda started yesterday, but I had yogurt and watermelon. Today I'm starting clean, I've had water, 3 eggs cooked in butter and 1 cup of black coffee. I'm having a rib eye for lunch and possibly eggs or steak for dinner. My biggest problem is going to be diary, cheese and alcohol. The reason I'm trying this is for over all health, weight management and I'm an alcoholism. Thank you for the video ♥
naomimay-sustainableprepper has made a post saying: "I have been carnivore for 1 month now. I lost 11.4 pounds in that first month." @@VictorMendez-l6u
Thank you, Dr. Berry! This helped me a lot. I started the carnivore diet 3 months ago and after suffering for 21 years from Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis, I almost instantly turned symptom-free. I am now 33 years old and I feel energetic and free for the first time since my childhood!
What? I’ve got chronic diarrhea after Crohn’s surgery 13 years ago and I am concerned about cholesterol and blood pressure. But glad to hear it may help with the Crohn’s stuff. I still get flare ups. So how are your other health stats? Did you have surgery on your gut before doing this?
I did get pizza tonight! Usually I scrape the cheese and toppings off the crust. But tonight we were overdue for a Buddy’s pizza where the crust is worth eating. Today marked the day where I dropped to my lowest weight of 160 lbs, down from 180 in 6 months. To do this I have cut out most carbs, especially breads, pasta, starchy vegetables and sweets. I do allow for occasional cheat days like tonight and I’ll eat a little dark chocolate. So far I’m ok with this diet. Nutrisystem and Weight Watchers were unsustainable for me. I enjoy eating the meals I prepare. Most days I’ll prepare a green or tomato salad with avocado olive oil and wine vinegar. I’ll stay on this for another 6 months and make an assessment. I just don’t think a 100% carnivore is in my future, although I can honestly say I’m probably close to it.
After years of Gout and joint pain, mt daughter convinced me to disregard my "medical advisors" and follow you. After 5 weeks, for the first time in well over a year I have no joint pain, lost 15 pounds, and have more flexibility than I have in years. I'm 63 and trying to get healthy enough to start a small homestead. Have my annual check up in a few weeks and excited to see my lab results.
Dr. Ken, love you buddy, I’ve been carnivore for one year, very strict, I eat beef, fat, farm, fresh eggs, never pasteurized, a couple of different hard cheeses. Occasionally, the first few weeks I would have sugar attacks once a week I would sit down with a pile of ice cream, and then it would be over with, after about four weeks I no longer craved sweets, and had absolutely none, I had severe gout in my toes, wrist and even my neck, the doctors gave me pills for a couple years, never changed anything, five weeks after carnivore I never had an attack again, not one, to this day I don’t even have any discomfort it is 100% gone, I learned a lot of how to eat carnivore from you, sir - thanks!!!!!!!! Also, I eat very little cheese, I eat a lot of Irish butter. Also, beef, tallow, I get all my beef from a local butcher, and he throws in straight beef fat from cuttings. I like to eat and munch on sometimes, I am eating 50% fat 50% meat, I don’t like chicken or fish. I pretty much just stay to beef fat and a lot of farm fresh eggs. Absolutely not pasteurized from a local farmer also - thanks so much brother you save my life!!!!!!!!!!!
@@catea2551 Wow, cate, I really I did not know that, so the eggs in the grocery store are not pasteurized, why does it say pasteurized down the cartons then? When I go to the grocery store again, I will look, but it seems to me I saw the word pasteurized, I may be mistaken. Hopefully I am.
I started on May 4 this year. 67 year old female 5’2” 158 lbs. I’m now at 139 lbs. and still going! Inflammation and allergies are just about gone. This is so easy to do and I’m going to keep it up!
Been carnivore/keto since 2020. Heres my why. Joint inflammation, vision was steadily getting worse. The first week was tough. I think my body was flushing all the toxins out that the meat protein was replacing. Dropped 15-20 pounds in the first 120 days. Dry eyes went away and vision has gotten better, inflammation was gone, less overheating overall in the summer. Less brain fog, and very little sugar cravings.
I need to loose weight, fight inflammation , diabetes and nodules on my thyroid. I also have hypothyroidism. I love your tips Dr Berry. I’m on my third week. I started as a ketovore first. Im adapted to carnivorous now.😊
This is by far the most amazing life changing experience!! I am 54 years old, 5'2", and now weigh 165 pounds!! Before plunging into carnivore, I was reaching 195 pounds. I cannot even express how much better i feel. From head to toe!! literally!! Not only did I lose weight but, the inches on my back, arms, hips and thighs. The amount of energy I have now, is outstanding! I could go on and on how happy I feel. I am so grateful for your videos. Thank you for all that you do. PS... love watching your wife's videos/recipes as well.
Thank you Dr. Berry, i followed your advice and on six month of carnivore , any animal meat basically, eggs and butter i lost 40lbs! Went from 230lbs down to 189lbs. Size 36 pants down to size 32! At age 47 i feel and look like when i was back in high school! I tell all my friends and family about your videos! Thank you and God bless you and continue to bless you and your family!
Amazing!!! Do you eat three times a day? Im nervous but want to start this. Just had homemade burgers with bacon chunks for dinner lol. Thats it. Any tips?!
I had c*vid-induced parosmia for nearly 20 months before I started Carnivore. Within 30 days of beginning my carnivore diet, my entire sense of smell was back, properly! I never would have believed it was possible if it hadn't happened to me!
Oh my gosh! I have had the same issue for 20 months. Have been trying to do Carnivore for two weeks. Still having some issues with some meat smelling spoiled - have bought Filet Mignon a few times and went right home and cooked it, only to throw it away because of the spoiled taste, coffee smells like chemicals. Your reply is encouraging. All the best to you.
Took 10 days to become pain free from years of pain. If you are filled with joint pain, relief is close. For me, 10 days, miracle folks. I used to weigh 211, now 163
Ive lost 21 lbs in 5 days. I realized i hav severe inflammation. My Drs told me my weight gain was from eating too much! Basically I was vegetarian, I ate whats considered healthy. I kno Im going to be ok now.
Dr Berry is the first one who is offering knowledge and help without trying to sell you anything. That in itself says a lot. My wife suffers from chronic inflammation and at 72, she is ready to give this a go.
I will give you the short version. Three years ago I started a Keto diet. I had many inflammatory problems, overweight and miserable. After the first year I had slowly but steadily lost 24kg in weight. After two years my weight has stabilised and physically I am feeling 90% better. Now this last year I have been more Ketovore but still have a few health issues so I feel ready to go completely carnivore. I believe it should be fairly easy for me after all the preparation. I am currently 80 years old. Thank you for all the advice.
I am 71 years old and now into my sixth week. My weight has dropped from 88.9kg to 79.5kg. My blood pressure readings have normalised. My weekly shop is less expensive than before. Typical weekly shop: 3 tins sardines, lambs liver, chicken thighs/legs, ground beef 20% fat, 18 eggs, bacon, 1Kg chuck steak, onion, garlic, ginger. For those who hate the taste of liver. I add a spoon of curry paste. Very tasty. I was buying ribeye for the first couple of weeks but changed to chuck as its cheaper and just as fatty.
I have brain vascular sclerosis. I also gain 17 pounds last year😓. I have very bad migraines and some join pain as well. Starting carnivore last dinner yesterday and 89 days to go before seeing the result. Thanks Dr. Berry’s videos.
My progression to carnivore started years ago when I was 275 pounds and decided to stop drinking sugary drinks. I lost 25 pounds in a month. That led me to stop eating sweets or adding sugar to stuff. I lost another 25 pounds. I plateaud for a while until I remembered that carbs were sugar, so I did dirty keto and lost another 25 pounds. I regained 15 because I couldn't break the carb addiction using artificial, zero carb sweeteners. Turn out, I need to abstain because I can't moderate. Now I've been strict carnivore for a week and lost 10 pounds. Can't wait to break my sweet tooth and never go back.
The liberation from the sweet addiction is SO worthwhile!! I cherish the freedom carnivore has given my mind and body!! Best wishes for continued success!!
I stopped all sugar in July and no processed food but only down 18 total pounds in two months. I expected more but I do feel better. Keep leaning carnivore but get constipated even though I'm adding a lot of fat. Any suggestions
@@lindabluemel2796 18 pounds in 2 months is *PHENOMENAL*!! Don’t discount how great of an accomplishment that is! Also be certain you’re taking measurements because the inches may come off even when the pounds are staying the same. Are you certain you’re constipated? Because many carnivores simply don’t create as much waste/stool as they did on a standard diet so they go less often (like once or twice per week) but pass stool easily without straining.
@@lindabluemel2796 feeling better is my main goal. That and living longer. Weight loss helps my joint pain, but it's a secondary concern. I have one small BM a day or every other day. Remember, feces is waste. You aren't wasting as much as you used to. Be sure to drink lots of water too. Makes a world of difference.
My "Why" is to reverse my Type 2 diabetes and make my microbiome healthy. I want no inflammation, no unhealthy liver or gut problems. I am older and I want to be healthy. I have had great success with this carnivore diet...my weight loss is over 100 pounds and I am at the weight I had in high school. NOW, I want to stay healthy and live longer. Thanks, Dr. Berry...you saved my life.
Awesome video Dr. Berry! My husband and I are on day 104 of carnivore! He's lost 62 pounds, I'm down 30. His snoring is nearly gone, his voice is getting deeper (which makes me think his testosterone is going up), and he's got so much more energy. My skin is the clearest it's ever been, fine lines are diminishing (I also use tallow on my skin, so that probably helps), my periods are completely painless. We have so many non-scale wins, I could be here all day. My husband is 34 and I'll be 35 in December. We're so grateful we decided to give Carnivore a try! It's been life changing and life saving
That helped so much, thank you! I just started one week ago 11-13-23. I'm down 8lbs already. I'm almost 65 and 5'6" started at 216 lbs, my goal is to get down to 145/150 lbs. I'm Geared up for this 90 day journey!
Expect that weight loss speed to plateau 2 or 3 weeks after beginning. A lot of that weight is water. Don't be discouraged when that happens. it happens to a lot of people initially. Good luck with your goals.
I started a few days ago..instantly felt better. W the holiday couple days off but here I am again ready to go full force. Diana are u still going? How's ur progress?
I have Hashimoto’s- my thyroid peroxidose was at 9704 in dec 23’- changed my diet and it’s now 3 months later and dropped to 8600. Now going to try the carnivore diet with my husband for better results. I’m excited to see changes.
I just started a carnivore diet, i'm 50, have T2 Diabetes and very high BP and 200 lbs when I started. Im down to 191 lbs. I transitioned into this as to not shock my body but already losing weight(water weight I'm sure) but feeling better as I don't have the weight on my ankles and knees. and not hungry all the time. I miss the carbs but not craving them (yet). thanks for all the motivational videos!
Can I ask how your blood sugar has been? My sister has T2D and injects insulin/takes Munjaro. She says if she didn’t eat any carbs her BS would drop to a dangerous level so she can’t do this. I think that would only happen if fasting but please share your experience!
my blood sugar is still high. It's supposed to take a while for sugars to come down naturally from what can learn. that being said, I currently don't take any Diabetes meds because my body will not adjust to the side effects of Metformin, and Glislazide doesn't work for me. so I dont have meds working against me forcing the sugar to go down. I'm still new at this and learnings lots everyday.@@immgrntsrus
@@immgrntsrus Your sister could eliminate the medications and injections (with Dr's help) by following the Carnivore diet. I was on Metformin. 1000mg twice a day and now down to Met 500mg a day. If I didn't cheat by eating carbs I could get off it totally! The Spirit is willing, but the Body is weak... 😬🤥
I've decided to give this diet a try a few days ago. Currently I'm easing into it by quitting alcohol and eating up food I have left. Also, trying to do research before diving headfirst. Quitting alcohol, losing weight, and improving my gut and other possible health benefits are the reason why I've decided to do this.
I have been part of the PHD Community for 17 months now. My Blood sugar has dropped significantly. A1c was 12.6 when I started and is under 7 now. Still a WIP but so much better. My BP has almost normalized. I have stopped the beta blocker and my Losartan dose went from 100 mg to 25 mg now. I no longer need a cpap to breath at night. My tongue and throat are thinner now. I have lost 65 lbs. Yes I fell off the potato and pistachio wagon a few times so a few things are still a wip but.. It is day and night in nutrition. I eat mostly meat and meat fat. I no longer hurt from all the preservatives and carbs and plant anti nutrients. I had no idea oxalates were even a thing. Now I find out I am super sensitive to it. It wasn't Fibromyalgia. It was plants and processed foods and sugars. Allergies gone. Brain fog gone. Sleep is better. Energy is better. Depression and mood is better. I am not just doing this for the weight. I want to feel good and live a proper human life.
10 years with Crohn's Disease. First 7 spent listening to "professionals". Next 3 spent going through diet change after diet change trying to heal myself after realizing these "doctors" are simply drug dealers. I am carnivore for 3 weeks now (as best I can) still figuring out how to deal with this when I'm out running errands, or on vacation. It's tough. BUT.....this is the first diet change I've tried where I had almost immediate changes!!! Mostly my gut inflammation went almost completely away in FUCKIN DAYS!!!!!!!! And I'm not perfect as I'm still figuring it out. I'm excited to see how I may feel when I figure out this lifestyle. Dr Berry is among others a God damned hero helping to put a stop to endless unnecessary suffering. I've been chopped up and tried every pharmaceutical on the market.....they're BULLSHIT. Eat a proper human diet. Full stop!
Laura Spath has many good UA-cam shorts showing what she orders at various restaurants to stay Carnivore while she travels for work. You might find some good ideas from her for when you’re away from home.
Me too. Had really bad ibs (colitis) for almost a year. Went away on 3 days carnivore. So did low anxiety/depression, itchy/dry skin from hormones (premenopause). Did start hot flushes, but that is from the carnivore.
Thank you for sharing you knowledge and story. I started carnivore a week ago because I need to lose alot of weight. In the week since I started, I'm down 17 pounds, 525lbs to 508lbs. I also started in the hopes that my sleep apnea will dissipate, boost my energy and improve my mental health
I have been doing a carnivore/keto diet for about 4 months and I do not cheat one bit. However, these past few weeks I’ve been getting into the habit of drinking a can of diet soda everyday and recently I have been having atrocious sugar cravings. I almost caved in and ate some honey buns but I couldn’t imagine destroying the 4 months of dedication I’ve put into this new lifestyle change, so I was able to escape the urge. I say all this to say, stay away from artificial sweeteners 🤦♀️ I was feeling/doing my best when I stayed away from sweeteners and artificial sweeteners. I could look at cake and not think twice about eating it. But now, since I’ve introduced diet soda, I can feel myself itch for a sweet. Not good 🤦♀️ craving is misery
What I've found is having a cheat day once a week keeps me on track. I personally cannot sustain eating just meat 100% of the time. The cheat day has two benefits. 1, it tricks the body into doing a reset so I won't plateau. Doing this kicks me out of ketosis but I'm right back on it the next day. 2, it helps keep me on the diet since psychology I know I'll be devouring yummy carbs before too long. Tacos, pizza, spaghetti. My cheat day is 24 hours which starts Thurs night to Fri night. Saturday thru Wed and all day Thurs it's meat only. I'm not a Dr so take my advice with a grain of salt but it works for me. Been doing this for a long time and I've lost a ton of weight and my bloodwork is amazing. I should also add that I drink 2 glasses of red wine daily. That's really my only carb intake other than my cheat day
Same thing is happening to me, I think our brains can’t recognize sugar substitute differently,so cravings come back , it’s the same as an alcoholic can’t have just one, or it’s back to starting point!
I`ve been on the Carnivore diet for 5 days now and so far so good. I haven`t had a single carb and i honestly don`t miss my sweet treats, alcohol or crisps (potato chips to you US Folks). I walk to work on a morning now which is 30k a week and i feel energised. I am doing this for weight loss as well as i have aching feet which have never been diagnosed really and just put down to a form of tendonitis, i have also been on Med`s for hypertension for 15 years so hoping this diet will ease or correct these ailments. Love your channel and videos`s, thanks for all of the knowledge and info you share. I am 53 yrs old and starting this new routine at 262lbs.
I started keto 4 years ago, never eaten junk food only veg and fruit for over 25 years. I then went low carb. My biggest killer is bread, but I'm now committed to carnivore. I've been OMAD for 4 years. The only problems I have is my spine and muscles degradation, and I now believe this is because I wasn't getting enough protein. The only meds I have is for nerve damage pain, fortunately I've never had issues with blood pressure or diabetes. My main aim is to hopefully reduce that pain. Cheers Rosemary Perth Western Australia 72yrs
Thanks to you for your wonderful videos that convinced me to try the Carnivore Diet. I'm now nearly 3 months into this amazing diet, and big adjustment to my lifestyle. I've never felt as fit in years and at 76 years old I have lost 28lbs , got no sugar rushes, I can now walk up steep hills once more, no more reliance on inhalers etc. Onwards and upwards!🙂👍
Thank you for all this information I will continue to do my carnivore eating the right way.. helping my cancer I believe this is helping me...Thank you!
Thank you for this. This is perfect to share with friends and family. Finding your 90 day challenge video saved my life. I started with the 90 days in August 2022. I’m down 158 pounds so far. So excited to see what the next year will bring.
Update: Dr Ken Berry changed my life! I've learned so much with his valuable & helpful information to better my health. I started this journey September 1, 2023 with cutting out all carbs and sugars. I found that cutting carbs wasn't as difficult as the sugar. I'm a sugar addict for sure. Unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to take labs until 21 days in and my lab results at that time was an A1C of 8.0. I just took my labs exactly 3 months to the day Dec 21 and my current A1C is 5.5 today! BEST CHRISTMAS GIFT EVER! THANK YOU DR BERRY. My fasting glucose also dropped from 114 to108. I will never go back to SAD! PHD is the way people. You can do it!
I am going to try this, I have been in so much pain since 2010 due to Fibromyalgia and Vascular Disease, I am hoping to rid my body of inflammation and hopefully enjoy some pain free years. Watching your videos will hopefully point me in the right direction as to what I need to do.
I started high fat carnivore to heal my Hashimoto's. 2 days after stopping gluten my alkalosis reversed from Hashimoto's. I've lost weight and have so much less pain. Hoping to completely get off thyroid medication eventually. I will eat this way the rest of my life.
@cristi0291 It is mostly getting off gluten which is a very common trigger for Hashimoto's. Gluten is in almost everything including Ranch dressing. The high fat carnivore helps heel hormones.
I started for the weight loss, stayed for the health. Listening to multiple videos & educating myself on my DM2 especially blood parameters; started with a A1C of 10.1 but this had been on an upward trajectory for years with my doc putting me on Metformin but obviously didn't lower my sugar. Lost weight, brought down my A1C to 6.5 after 6 months, but it took 2.5 years to get my A1C to 5.2 & get a good TG/HDL ratio so I figure I was insulin resistant. Also lost 50 lbs & waist size from 38 to 32.
Yes, carb withdrawals are a very real thing. Mine were horrible and lasted for two weeks. After a month, I felt so good I was amazed. Little did I know that the healing would continue for many months! Now, over three years later, I will never go back to carbs. I am not a wildly strict carnivore. I am very meat heavy ketovore. Experiment, and learn what your body likes and dislikes.
I tried the carnivore diet back in January. I was doing alright for about 10 days, except my stools were infrequent, small, and greasy. Then one evening, almost suddenly, I started getting chills, felt dazed, and had no energy. I went to sleep and woke up the next day with the worst diarrhea of my life. At this point I was eating non carnivore foods. Strangely, I was craving fruit, which is weird because I never really crave fruit, except on hot days, but this was in the middle of winter. The diarrhea was horrible. It lasted for over a week. I had to have a 5 gallon bucket next to my bed at all times. I wasn't doing carnivore to lose weight. I'm actually pretty skinny and probably need to gain weight. I did it because I have acne that I'm trying to get rid of and because it just makes sense to me as being the healthiest most natural diet for humans to eat. I want to try carnivore again this autumn or winter. If you or anyone else has any tips on how to transition smoothly, I would greatly appreciate it. By the way, I still have acne. I started taking cod liver oil daily, which has helped to reduce it a little, but it isn't enough.
@@codyburt6536 Cody, more people will see your question posted if it's repeated as an original comment VS a reply within the body under someone else's comment. Hope that makes sense :)
@codyburt6536 For most, an instant 100% diet change is only symptomatic for a few days. Individual metabolism, however, can be very different from person to person. Since the rapid change went poorly for you, I would recommend a more gradual change. Start with a very keto diet. Count carbs and keep your total daily carb intake below 50. Give that a few weeks. Then turn them down lower. See how your body reacts and adjust accordingly. Each of us has our own happy spot. For me, my body is happiest when I keep my carbs below 20 gms a day. Yours will probably be different. Just get started and don't be afraid to adjust it to your Individual needs.
@@codyburt6536 Your Electrolytes were all messed up. Totally common. If you are not consuming Eletrolytes everyday you will have the shits. I use KetoChow drops and LMNT packets I add to my water bottles, oh and Salt the HELL out of your Food. I use Redmond Blue packaging Salt. Blue packaged salt is a finer particle size vs the RED size. That's the only difference. It is all Kosher. Do not mix sugar and salt. Salt needs to be consumed daily. Sugar causes inflammation. I am using Stevia with monk fruit --packets. I buy it at Costco. Green Box. It's the only form of stevia I have found that Does NOT have dextrose in it. Dextrose is Sugar. By the way, regular SALT has dextrose in it. Sugar !! It's crazy. Check the packaging. It's unbelievable. The food industry is trying to kill us.
6 months later I’m still on carnivore diet….absolutely love it! I’m not concerned about the weight loss anymore because the way my body feels is much more than the weight loss. Blood pressure down, inflammation gone, gut issues gone.
I am only starting a carnivore diet and I honestly am dreading it. Along with having Type One Diabetes, I also have Asperger's Syndrome and Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD). I haven't heard of this type of diet having any positive effect in reversing or moderating these mental disorders. Further, ever since I was a little boy, I also have had food allergies to both fish and eggs. So that limits what I can and can't eat even further, which increases my dread. I turned 60 this year. My A1C is down to 9.5 from the 10's, thanks be to God. But it still needs to come down further. Bad cholesterol is still high and I don't want to take statins because they don't work...period! But this type of diet scares me. I won't tell a lie...it just does. I don't know in my heart of hearts if I can carry this through. That's what happens when one is a natural pessimist with a melancholy temperament. We'll see what happens. Many thanks to you all for your patience with me on this.
I first came across Dr Berry a year ago. After watching a few vids, I went carnivore cold turkey. After 3 weeks I felt a dramatic difference in my body- specific and non specific. How inflamed I was internally. 1 year later I’m off 2 maintenance drugs for blood pressure and enlarged prostrate. I’ve lost more than 50 pounds and down 6 “ on my pant size. All I can say is thank you KenDBerry MD . I know how you’ve impacted my life with your work on UA-cam I can only imagine how many others by factors of 1000s. Your reward in heaven will be magnificent.
Did you have prostatitis as well or just enlarged prostate if you don’t mind me asking? After starting your carnivore diet did it feel like your prostate was acting up before it got better? Just curious I just started my strict carnivore diet
All I can say is thank you. Today is day 96 of your eating plan, and I have no more prescriptions; no statin, no beta blocker, my A1C is 5, my edema is gone, my lymph nodes are no longer swollen, my arthritic pain is better, and I can walk much further. The bonus is a 33-pound weight loss and two pants sizes down as of this morning. I will be going in for a cholesterol test next week, so I'll look forward to that since I'm off statin for the first time in 25 years.
Im on day 7 of the carnivore, ive lost 5 pounds i have so much energry, still going through withdrawals tho, hoping it helps with my back pain , hoping all of yall have happy carnivore times ❤❤ xx
I have been doing ketovore for past 10 days. I thought I was doing carnivore but after binge watching your videos, I realized I was unknowingly doing ketovore. I am going to transition to carnivore next week (3rd wk) because although I'm feeling 100% better, I want to experience the difference (now that I know which is which). I have my husband doing this with me (he knows absolutely nothing about either) lol. But he's happy and also feeling much better. Thank you Dr Barry for doing what your doing. You are helping a lot of desperate people like myself. I will keep y'all posted on progress. Currently I'm at 291 5'7" with medical issues I know will be fixed just by how much better I feel in just 10 days.
Thanks for sharing! I'm in a similar boat with thinking I was doing carnivore but more doing a ketovore. I'm only on day 5 and already feeling the best I have felt in YEARS. I will also be transitioning to full carnivore as the cheese in the house runs out 😅 (it's too expensive - and delicious! - to throw out)! Can't wait to read your update in a couple months! 🎉😊
Started at 262 lbs in early spring, today I'm at 223 lbs. A1C from 9.2 down to 5.7. I'm a believer. Thank you.
Super motivating!
Is this comment real or are you a bot? I'll wait for a reply
Congratulations. What an achievement.
That’ll be right 🙄 my knees improved from intermittent fasting and low carb and told the same 🦋
good choice i only have pain when i eat to many carbs, bpc-157 is expensive to buy constantly but its cheaper to do keto pizza every day. so yummy an no knee pain...
I’m really happy for you!
The doctors seem blind to people helping themselves, no money to be made in healthy, pain free people
Dr.s are just spouting what they were taught. Unfortunately, many of them are unwilling to learn new theories.
Good for you 😂
Awesome news, bro! keep going! Going on day four for me! Hope I dont fall flat on my face again and give in to the sugar and chocolate bars, Coke Cola and Funyan binges lol
Treat the carbs like a mosquito bite , don't scratch and it will stop itching 😊
It would be so much easier if my husband would eat this way too. I can't even get him to try keto. Keto has been brilliant for me but carnivore is the next step.
I've been on a relatively clean keto diet for a while, so I'm assuming changing to carnivore from keto should be kind of easy?
I'm 250 pounds , I got cancer in 2020 and I've been in horrible depression since. I have horrible belly pains that no one has been able to help me with. I even had exploratory surgery with no help. I found you on YT, and it's February of 2024 and I am going to try this and see if it can help me. Thank you for putting it on here for people to find. I hope it helps.
Hope this journey is the key to your recovery. Praying for you. Pls update us on your progress. I believe it will help lots of people
Yes. Please update us. Also, decrease your sugar intake tremendously.
Fast, if you can in between your liveit as well. Get into herbal medicine as well. Prayer and God bless
But cheesecake is so damn good 🙃🤷♀️
I think in three or four months you will come back here and say how happy you are to change your life by eating this way it is completely transformed our whole family
Well it's been just over 3 weeks. So far, I've lost 17 lbs. I'm sleeping better than I have in years. I think my skins clearing up. Just hope it cures my fatty liver. Thank you all for your support.

What’s the connection between skin cancer and meat as a means of solving it? I’ve not heard anything about that.

Happy Carniversary!!! 🐄
Congratulations! 👍
Congratulations!
We are about the same age, ht, wt when you began. First congratulations, well done! Second did you experience nausea after eating?
Carn-gratulations!
Nice, Canadian whiskey and steak for dinner 😂
@cherylkeithley7303
I'm 63 yr female, on day 37.
I’ve been Carnivore now for 8 years after watching Dr. Berry for a couple of years. I’m a 72 years old woman and I’ll never go back; I feel so great!
you give me courage to start at 70 yrs old. woman... thank you. seeking weight loss, no depression, high blood pressure etc.

*No more night sweats
*No more waking every 2 hours at night!
*It used to take me 20 minutes or longer to fall asleep at night when I would first go to bed at night- before carnivore. Now it takes like a minute or less. Haven’t noticed since I am out fast!
*No more life long eczema
*No more cold hands (may have been Reynold’s disease, never diagnosed.)
*No more cold body temp in general! Used to feel like a reptile - only warm in texas sun. (may have been Raynaud’s disease, never diagnosed.)
*No more IBS symptoms (gas, bloating, stomach pain, constipation, diarrhea)
*No more feeling low energy by 12pm and zombie by 4pm
*No more purple looking hands in winter (may have been Raynaud’s disease, never diagnosed.)
*No more brain fog
*No more arthritis that I felt in hands, knees, and hips- or elbows
*used to have sore hips when sleeping on my side.
*no cravings unless they are for meat
*no more angina symptoms before a period- which started about 3 years ago.
* no more body odor!
(Newest update added!)
*when laying still in bed to fall asleep at times I would feel dizzy or feel like I was falling through the mattress a bit.
I know when people go on carnivore they are trying to heal something, but if they aren’t like me and notice small things- they may not notice they are healing way more than they realized- things plant foods were causing!

@@Olenka79 it’s that. I haven’t had another scan since that one but I’m curious to find out any more about it. It’s just expensive. I recommend very low carb and walking to reduce cortisol levels. Hi, I have a pituitary brain tumor that was removed and 2015, but now he’s growing back. Actually, I was very afraid to do the carnivore diet because the tumor is growing back. Thank you for your comment. I will try it.

I absolutely agree, I love not having to think about food all the time 😊
I find that I still think about food quite a bit.

I'm a type 2 diabetic 275 lbs I hate taking the meds so I'm starting carnivore how long do you think it will take to get off the meds
@@gregory2721I’m not a doc, so take with a grain of salt:
Dr Berry said it takes 3 months to replace the red blood cells which are used to measure your average 3-mo blood glucose levels.
@@gregory2721 If you're strict, about 2 months. If you can get a CGM, you can watch it happen live.
What is your daily diet consist of? Supplements included?
Wow amazing
Damn. I've never seen an A1C of 12.6. Congrats
Accutane does work. Take low dose. Or try first to eliminate all all SUGAR N CARBS.
How is it going? How is your acne? I hope you have had some success!
Good job taking your health into your own hands! 🎉
Thank you Dr Berry!!!! I’m down nearly 40 pounds and have completely reversed my type 2 diabetes!!!!
Same for me.
I have stage 4 breast cancer . That’s my why !
You got this!!!!💪
Cutting out sugar and carbs starves out cancer. Cancer feeds on sugar
🙏 please be OK x
I wish you all the best ❤
What I believe to be important, is to have faith that you are going to be healthy and well. And every day, have a moment of gratitude, even if it's appreciating the birds in your yard, or the love of your pets, a sunset, or anything beautiful that makes you smile. Also, as my youngest son wisely pointed out, Mum, you need to stop and smell the roses.🌹
Take care, and don't be afraid to heal yourself 💜
Prayers !! You got this❤
I started carnivore diet 3 weeks ago.
If you start eating normally again introduce foods one at a time to see what the problematic foods are.
Inflammation reduction from the absence of excessive carbohydrates
Thanks for sharing this! One of my "why"s it mild asthma (lungs tested below COPD levels when it gets bad, other times I test at 100%), and if there's any improvement at all it will be 100% worth it.

A glass of wine won't hurt you

I'm into my 14th month! I love it, and wish I'd known about CARNIVORE 20+ YEARS AGO!!
Last summer i did intermittent fasting keto
Only eating any meat / fish , salad and non starch veg.
Happy for you and all your hard work,! 🎉
Some of the things I've noticed in the last few weeks:
1) I don't even care about the carb loaded crap I used to love.

Good luck!😊

Where can we find her videos please? Thanks

Thats it. Any tips?!
This is perfect. I'm starting tomorrow. I literally cleaned out my fridge and cabinets this morning. I only have tea inside my home.
Wow that’s awesome man.
Any cheese or Kefir ?
Thank you I too am 80 and contemplating healing all the issues you mentioned. I will have no support but will have to rely on comments such as yours.
How do you handle going out to dinner or being an invite guest at a party???
Very helpful, Thanks
Lost 36 lbs, 4 inches in my waist & best of all my triglycerides went down from 447 to 152 from mid- February to late August!
Thank you Doc!!!
I am the same way. Elimination works but limitation doesn't for me.
What types of meat did you eat and how much?
@@tatianesoarespereira beef, bacon, butter and eggs. The amount varies depending on how much I feel I need
I’m starting today! I need a change! Send some prayers my way!!!!!!!!❤
YOU CAN DO IT!!!
Good luck stick with it !
Me too
Stick to it. I wish you good luck. Don't trust a fart the first couple of weeks;) Im on month 4 the benefits are so real.
Are you sticking with it? If you did , the worst is over and you will start reaping all the rewards!
It definitely works. I lost 20 lbs in 3 months, cleared up the psoriasis around my nose. I feel like I’m not in such a brain fog.
You go girl! 👍
Ahh a newbe me to i started 21/12/23
I started a few days ago..instantly felt better. W the holiday couple days off but here I am again ready to go full force. Diana are u still going? How's ur progress?
did you eliminate dairy? How do you keep eating meat everyday fresh?
Thank you very much for sharing. I don’t care if I ever eat vegetables for the rest of my life. Now I know why they taste bad. They are bad for us!
I have Hashimoto’s- my thyroid peroxidose was at 9704 in dec 23’- changed my diet and it’s now 3 months later and dropped to 8600. Now going to try the carnivore diet with my husband for better results. I’m excited to see changes.
This is awesome advice. I started Carnivore 2 months ago due to my arthritis in me knee and shoulder and the inflammation and pain has gone away.
The increased mental focus is what surprised me the most.
my blood sugar is still high. It's supposed to take a while for sugars to come down naturally from what can learn. that being said, I currently don't take any Diabetes meds because my body will not adjust to the side effects of Metformin, and Glislazide doesn't work for me. so I dont have meds working against me forcing the sugar to go down. I'm still new at this and learnings lots everyday.@@immgrntsrus
i'm noticing that too a bit. I noticed it lots when I tried keto a couple years ago but didn't stick with it.@@smarterworkout
@clarsen1418 great thanks
Me too. Had really bad ibs (colitis) for almost a year. Went away on 3 days carnivore. So did low anxiety/depression, itchy/dry skin from hormones (premenopause). Did start hot flushes, but that is from the carnivore.
@@cll2020great advice

Thank you for sharing you knowledge and story. I started carnivore a week ago because I need to lose alot of weight. In the week since I started, I'm down 17 pounds, 525lbs to 508lbs. I also started in the hopes that my sleep apnea will dissipate, boost my energy and improve my mental health
What area your latest results?
Wish you luck ! Hope you get off some weight.
That's really my only carb intake other than my cheat day
Sparkling water and squeeze of lemon or lime broke me of Diet Coke habit years ago. All the best!
I love this way of living. No sickness. Took care of grand children. One got sick, I’m fine!!! How is that!
This way of eating saved my life. Im off all 3 B.P. meds and a1c is 4.6 plus I lost 35lbs Its AMAZING!!!
Thank you for this. This is perfect to share with friends and family. Finding your 90 day challenge video saved my life. I started with the 90 days in August 2022. I’m down 158 pounds so far. So excited to see what the next year will bring.
That’s amazing!
158lbs in a little over a year!? That is incredible 👏
Any update on how it went? I also have Hashimoto's and am thinking on going carnivore.
@cristi0291 It is mostly getting off gluten which is a very common trigger for Hashimoto's. Gluten is in almost everything including Ranch dressing. The high fat carnivore helps heel hormones.
Amazing
@@donnas2375 Yes, thank you.
Can you update us on your cholesterol?
