Alpha Lipoic Acid is has tremendous benefits for your liver as well. It in fact has been known to actually aid in liver regeneration. However, R-type has much greater bioavailability than the s-type, which is half natural, have synthetic. The reason that s-type is made is because ALA must be stabilized in order to provide any benefit, and can actually be somewhat detrimental if it is not, in supplement form. If you do go with r-type, make sure that it is stabilized, usually with sodium atoms. S-type works as well, but is less potent

It sounds like this might be one of those compounds that ends up blocking the good effects of exercise. The whole point of exercise, especially vigorous exercise, is to create inflammation that your body fixes up, regulating your endogenous antioxidant mechanisms. At least as I understand it.
We shouldn’t be interested in primarily how it effects inflammatory markers, but we should be more interested in things downstream of that like: does it improve response to exercise or weaken response to exercise.

Hopefully somebody in the comments can answer me I don’t think he will see this but I’ve been doing keto for about three months now and intimate fasting. I normally do a 23 hour fast besides drinking a coffee in between the day with heavy cream. However, I developed a very low appetite, but I’m starting to worry that I’m not eating enough protein to maintain or build muscle cause I could only consume about 900 to 1200 cal per day. Those calories are all healthy, fat and protein. I am 6 foot tall and way 278 and I am active in boxing.
