One of the best quality and descriptive videos I have seen. Excellent lighting, good pace and very well explained. Those who have English as a second or third language will appreciate your clarity.
great video up to the end. I really need to know how to adjust the brake with the arm. I can't seem to get it right. You skipped that part. Otherwise it is very detailed. Can you help with the adjustment?
sorry about that. you turn the 2 wing nuts in 1 wing nut is for the foot brake and the other is for the hand brake. turn them in until you get a hand and foot pedal free play of 3/4 of a inch or so. free play is when you pull the hand brake or step on the foot pedal it will move 3/4" then will start to engage. hope this helps and you were right I should have shown that
What a job i had getting the brakes apart eberthing was seized screw driver annd a hammer brake shoes where seized on so bad i had to heat them took me a long time to get them off.
Hi i have attempted to fix my back breaks about 5 times now and cant figure out what is wrong. When its all said and done its as if the pivot post isn't turning all the way up... I am lost please any tips you may have or questions to better narrow it down would help.
there are markings on the pin and the arm where the cables mount too. some are dot and some may e triangles. the pin dot needs to face the back of the quad, then match the dot on the pin with the dot on the arm. hope this helps ya
I actually figured it out. I appreciate the reply though. I just was not keeping full tension on the cable from the rear of the ATV when I was tightening it up. I would hook it up front, pull it through and leave it hanging while putting the nuts on. I didn't realize you had to keep it firmly pulled back. kind of a easy stupid mistake. Thanks though.
I recently replaced my old brake cable when I try to use it it is very sloppy and does nothing, it will not stay latched into the lever and the back just doesn't pull far enough to even move the brakes. What the hell did I do wrong?
why do you talk about the specs on the book?? The idea of the video is to have an instructional video with as much information as possible... Very good overall, but missing critical information
