    That's for the video. Its nice to know what you are getting into. My rear arm lever isn't pivoting so I have to get into it and clean it. I figure a 12 gauge brush should fit the pin hole. Thx again.

    i would put a some water proof grease around where the dust cover bolts on ( around the oring mabe replace oring) and make sure the vent hose is good and tight and make sure the end of the hose in up the fram high.your not going to keep all the water out but you can keep most of it. water gets in the most where the pin comes through the back plate where the arm is attached to the cables. make sure that little seal is in good shape and put some grease there.

    you mentioned that the brake lever has to be in neutral position in order to get drum off,,I am doing rear brake job this weekend on a 2007 Rancher 420 ,,and I believe it's all rusted/frozen up,,,the cam/pin may not move the lever,,,and my suggestions? ???

    What do I do if the brake drum won't come off as if it's rusted in place? The brake lever you showed in the video is locked in place also. I soaked it in pb blaster for a day and I even heated it lightly with a propane torch

    • @400EX99N
      @400EX99N  2 роки тому

      I have been that road. just keep what you are doing, keep using the PB balaster and heat. HEAT the axel by brake drum. light heat wont cut it , and the same for the brake lever

    Do you know what the casted aluminum part is called that holds both the rear brake lines. I have a 1996 honda foreman and I can't find the part that holds the break lines. it broke because a drag used for grading got wrapped up in the rear axle and the break lines, and the chains ripped out the break lines,and broke the casted aluminum that holds the break lines. Thanks for any help.

    what will cause the rear brake shoes too disintegrate I put new brake shoes on my Honda Foreman and they are already disintegrated to the metal

    • @400EX99N
      @400EX99N  7 років тому

      check your drum, if its not smooth it will chew up the brakes. also it may be the brake shoes them self, like a bad batch or cheap shoes

    WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS TAKE THE FOOT BRAKE LEVER OFF THE QUAD. THE POST WELDED TO THE FRAME THAT THE LEVER RIDES ON NEEDS TO BE CLEANED, DIRT & MUD GET IN THERE. TAKE A WIRE BRUSH WHEEL ON A DRILL AND CLEAN THE POST GOOD AND THEN CLEAN THE INSIDE OF THE PEDAL PIVOT. THEN WHEN YOU PUT IT TOGETHER GREASE OR ANTISEIZE THE POST AND LEVER. IT WILL BE HARD TO GET THE LEVER OFF GET SOMR GOOB PENETRATING OIL LIKE PB BLASTER AND KEEP WORKING IT GOOD LUCK AND THANKS FOR WATCHING

    • @400EX99N

      that's a good plan. the threads must be bad that's why they welded the nut

      +GusgusA1 you'll have to buy a new nut because you're going to destroy it taking it off. you are going to need a die
