@@Vizible21 entirely of worlds 2022 was riddled with game breaking bugs yet they just told players to just deal with it. It’s not just bugs too, one big issue that they just point fingers on is toxicity. They refuse to add voice chat because of a small minority of people rather than taking accountability and actually doing something about it.
@@Vizible21The most ridiculous occurrence was like two years ago or more, instead of first strike we had cleptomancy which gave you 5 gold or (pretty valuable) consumables on aa after using skill. In one of the competitive games pro player went top with the rune and for like 15 min he didn't get ANY consumables. He stopped the game several times each time riot telling him it's skill issue. On the last pause they investigated the game and found that it was an old bug, but told him to deal with it and play withoit a main rune as nothing happened
Let's not forget Riot's "200 years of collective experience" (which is such a trash argument, by that logic a room full of students would be smarter than the professor) and "we don't think our champions have over-loaded kits overall" quotes. Such a sly company that never takes accountability, it's infuriating.
You sir! deserve more upvotes LMFAO! Do not forget on top of it all they are more worried what skin's they want to pump out for the next month, and the next month, etc. LMFAO!!
honestly, there are not that many bugs. I think the problem is the interaction between stuffs, like the flash, that keeps auto attacks even after you do it, or the "broken hitboxes". There are some glitches that are used and super bugged, but they are fixed in a few days usually and they are soooo rare. I have never found none of them in a game of mine, and i have 5000+ hours, while i do see glitches in AAA games 2/3 times in maybe 40 hours.
as a mobile legend player the amount of Collab we get is insane. we got transformer twice, hello kitty twice, street fighter twice, star war twice, jujustu kaisen, fucking vivo and god damn more. oh btw the twice mean that they made a new skin for the hero and bring along the old
league doesn’t do those kind of collaborations, they instead do it on media or merchandise like imagine dragons twice one back in 2014(warriors song) and recently Enemy, some korean idols on KDA and heartsteel(idk the names i don’t usually listen to kpop) and tons of merchandise like logitech, casio, G-shock, louis vuitton, secretlab and more.
It also sucks because you can tell there are certain characters that riot favors over others. Taliyah only has 4 skins over a 7 year period, meanwhile, Kai's has twice as much in half the time...
I mean that seems more "this champ is played by so little its not worth making them skins" than "screw this champ in particular " even though I also think some champa doesnt get the attention they need but a small indie studio like them cant afford to make a loose from skins
You people are clueless, it's a money milking business, they will make skins only for popular champions since they will sell better, why make skins for taliyah when she has less than 1% play rate it's a waste of effort for no money. All corporations care only about the money, of a game is free then you are the product.
Before I first played LoL about a year and a half ago I've listened to a myriad of horror stories about the game, and was pleasantly surprised to see very little of what people have been complaining about. LoL is one of the most fun games I've ever played, but it's also the most exhausting game I've ever played because it takes 110% of your attention. You can't really chill playing this game, you have to try hard all the time. But like most difficult games are, it's rewarding to get that crazy outplay that snowballs your lane out of control, or undergo some 9000 IQ macro. Support/Jungle player.
@@omega7057 I also like tryharding. In fact I'm physically incapable of not tryharding :D I'm not entirely sure if League is more toxic than Overwatch. But I'm certain that Dota 2 is on the another level of toxicity.
For me, the stressful nature of league of legends doesn't affect my mood that much. I mostly play normal and stay out of ranked, so I don't have to worry about ruining anyone's rank and the worst that can happen is losing the game. I try my best but I also don't tryhard and panic when things go wrong. Instead, I relax and think logically, which helps me make the right decisions and play well, which makes me enjoy the game more.
@Omega 705 the fact that getting angry and nerd raging a bit gets you banned sucked me out of the game. The fact that people could get mad at me for KSing them and then ruin my game they are fine but don't you dare say a meanie word!
Monthly pass for mlbb only costs like 5 Aussie dollars, it gives you two skins for a champ, shop currency to buy previous monthly pass skins and a sacred statue (grants a hero the ability to swap a tower for a stylised tower that looks like the hero, purely cosmetic, doesn't change tower stats)
The funny part with the reports and riot support is that even if you send a ticket a bot automatically close the ticket as “solved” so you as a player need to open the same ticket again and ask for a human to respond and then even if you pin point the troll running down 10 games in a row, giving them screenshots and recordings they have audacity to respond “we will investigate issue, please understand it takes time” and the reported player is allowed to troll for next week. They need to “investigate” 😂
had a case where my Anivia mid started buying only mana crystals after he died once and then i checked his opgg and he was buying troll items for the past 30-40 games, after reporting this incident with PLENTY screenshots as proof to riot support i had multiple bots appologize to me that i ran into this person and they will deal with this situation asap, that was 3 months ago and this person still ruins games to this day
@cruelreality7600 Bro, please tell me how to quit then. I got gold with Neeko and have been trying to level an alt with TF only. I'd be happier if I just quit, how'd you quit?
when i was a young lad i masturbated with soap instead of lube so it would go into my urethra and it would burn like crazy I know have a masochism kink and thats why i play league
Good shit that UA-cam is starting to recommend smaller creators more often. Great video my guy really enjoyed it even if I play league all the damn time none of these points can be denied. Riot has been on a downward spiral for like 9 years and it’s not getting better yet.
One of the most frustrating things in league is it's own players. Trying to 1v9 with shit players that just keep blaming everyone for their own mistakes and trolling the game for nothing is so tiring.
Then they hold you hostage in the game. You can’t AFK or leave without being punished so you’re forced to waste 40 minutes with a team that hates effort and hates you
Or when you earn SVP which means you did a good job in the game but you still lost because your teammates are noobs , I prefer solo and jungle lane because when I am solo lane I know how to control minon wave and I always get to the super minion turret without losing any turret on my lane even tough solo lane is harder I know how to play it well ,but even though your lane is doing well I see the rest of the team and their lanes fucking shit up which cost you the game , I hate duo lane because those noobs have no idea how to control minon wave and they always do the wrong stuff which can lead to a loss on the duo lane ,the fucked up thing is that even if you earn a SVP and you tried to help your noob teammates to push their lane that doesn't guarantee a win cause one player can't win a game like that when your teammates are noobs , either you must be insanely fed which means you will one ,two or three shot everyone on your way to victory or you must be skilled so you can actually know how to win an impossible game which most people don't know how to do so it's dumb as shit......
I see you're a man of culture as well, a Kindred connoisseur. BTW, I know this video was posted 2 months ago but the new 2v2v2v2 mode is the most fun I've had in a while in this game.
The reason why feeding isnt punished is because simply being bad isnt punishable. Imagine in a football game you lose the ball, or even fall and kick the ball in the own goal, and the referee fucking throws you out of the game. But running down on purpose, of course, is not okay. Thats just asshole behavior.
Yet if i tell you to follow your own footsteps back to the hole you came from im the bad guy and should be punished by riot's now hyper aggressive banning system.
If I call someone bad, use zero offensive language, and use zero curse words, I can get chat restricted. If someone completely changes their playstyle and just auto attacks down mid, that's them "trying their best" and not bannable.
@@HaloDude557 if you are getting chat restricted you said something pretty bad. I refuse to believe you bums when I've flamed and have never been chat restricted
I remember when the hate towards LoL came from just the community being toxic and that's it, now on top of that is that Riot is so shamelessly greedy, pushing as far as possible changes and fixes that actually do something for the game to prioritize skin lines for some quick reveneu
I'm so glad someone stated at least part of my vision on League problems, that is Riot refusing to see League firstly as a GAME, where people should have FUN playing. I feel like the alternative game modes we had back in the day used to make league a fun casual experience, because if you want to grind elo, you could, but if you didnt wanted to, you could just go aram, twisted treeline, or whatever was new in this patch. So you had variety of gameplay, and you could play whatever you want to play. Rn you can only grind in summoners rift and get tilted for whatever reason, or play ARAM and pray you get a good comp because some champs are just supposed to take less dmg, have extra tenacity and down the rabbit hole. It feels really exhausting to play league these last years, and i feel everyone plays it because kinda no one really offers any kind of matching competition to this specific niche (MOBA). You could go to mobile games, but it feels even more Niche. I can really speak about the exhausting thing because i dont even wanna test skins anymore, the game just feels fun basically playing with friends these days, and then they're always trying to discourage duoQ, even in flex, so idk, feels like Riot really lost it with League.
True. Lately the ranked became almost restrictively difficult when playing duo. May drop playing ranked altogether because of that and stay in normals (Though the matchmaking in normals is, well... Also suboptimal).
@@Ducklex Dota 2 is a huge info dump for you to remember. HotS is practically pick up and play. You'll learn everything you need in the first couple of matches.
This video is genius! He explains exactly what I have been feeling for 4-5 years. All true. But the biggest problem is the stupid players who ruin your game and then you are stuck in a losing game sometimes 30-40 minutes ! Just waiting for the nightmare to end.. .A player who gets kills becomes insanely powerful. A lot of players don't understand the game at all and Riot doesn't understand how to rank players according to the quality/skills of play in their group
Then you dont like team games because in every team game you are going to find people like that. I hate to see people not man up and say" i need to control my anger this is my fault" no they blame it on the video game casual.
What you did at the end is very interesting to me and it kinda reflects the whole community, myself included. We all talk crap about Riot and League but at the end of the day we legit beg them to take our money to get a bunch of new skins and useless cosmetics. It's very hard to imagine Riot taking actions to solve big problems the game faces when they're swimming in money. I'm hopeful that someday something will change and make the game we all love and hate (mostly hate) more enjoyable and less stressful.
The thing is, people always complain about "We get no gamemodes" or "there are 2 many skins" but then they proceed to not play any of the gamemodes and then buy all the skins. The very things they complain about are the things they participate in.
@jpuc5568 games can bring stress like any other hobby? Have you seen how toxic the whole community is when they lose one game, let alone a bunch of creators going ape shit if they lose in a row. LoL isn't the only game that can bring anger and stress, but it's up there with some of the most anger indusing shit in the gaming sphere
I am proud to say that i only paid ever for a jinx skin cause i was hyped because of Arcane. I am never gonna pay a single penny to that awful company and will ruin thousands of games for others. Why? Because riotgames made it that way. Trying to help your teammates and accidently saying slurs like stupid meanwhile noone of them listens just keeps on talking how he would r4pe your mom gets you banned but not vice versa because he said ky$ for example and paying a single riotgames employee to manually review tickets at least if not ingame reports is out of their budget. Oh and btw death treats like that is like every second game. I trully wish the worst to the 90% of the community cause the nice people left the game because of these players or mute all chat or play with friends and never soli queue. I wouldnt want my biggest enemy to solo queue in league of legends that is worse than death penalty
if you were wise and wanted those fuckin skins you'd just download obsidian and lol2gltf and rip the models directly. these skins are taking space in your hard drive, so you might as well be able to use them as you see fit
Dope vid, one other issue with the game is the snail pace speed at which riot takes to fix things. Stuff like Skarner's rework shouldn't take over 2 years to make post announcement, some whole games get made in that time period lol
I havent really seen many bugs honestly during my playtime (level 200), some champions though do absolutely make me question the design choices made. Also its VERY true 80% of the time that the winner is decided at the first 10 minutes, I constantly feel like I have already basically LOST a game or have no hope of catching up because I sometimes get bullied out of lane and cant kill minions, or end up dying only twice and its a wrap (which is usually the case). Also the content thing is also very true Riot is basically sleeping at the desk if theyre only doing 2 reworks or model updates every year and a half, for over 100 champions, while sometimes the champions ALREADY UPDATED SKINS AND MODELS exist. And i get it would take ages to update all the skins but it cant take THAT long. The keys thing isnt that much a problem, I have like a overabundance of keys. The community I dont even need to say anything, its a "its everyone elses fault than mine" mentality. You could literally say "hey I dont know really how to play [blank]" and the others say "ok thats fine" then call you scum and tell you to off yourself when you stumble. I like playing league, but its just because some specific characters i love and find them actually fun to play (Kled, Renata, Ornn, lulu, etc) or i get a few good games or even fights, but it always a dice roll if im gonna come out of it not wanting to slam my head through the table, but ill come back anyway.
league matches to me are like that meme 5 people are sitting in a buss and all of them are thinking the same thing about the others: "look at these npcs,i am above all of these plebs" all league players think they are above the rest, the suport thinks he is better than thr adc and the adc thinks he is better than the suport, this gors for all the roles recently a guy was flaming me for "being bad at league" bitch i am playing draft pick so i can learn hoe to play a different champion, where tf am i supposed to go to for exercise???
For a channel with not even 1000 subs, that was an extremely rare breed of rant. However, it was also extremely entertaining, funny, put together very well, and overall enjoyable to watch. Definitely not the kind of channel that should only have 3 digits in subscriber count, IMO this certainly deserves more attention. You've earned yourself a sub, congrats.
i played the game for 7-8 years (diana main) and finally decided not to touch it anymore 2 years ago and i've been clean since. everything you mentioned was a factor that determined me to quit but what capped it off for me was seeing their utter disregard for the stories and lores and their characters, the sole force that made me start playing this game in the first place. I know it sounds dumb but this was something that i loved a lot about the game and seeing them constantly butcher or not give a shit abt these characters made me kinda go like ''meh, what even is the point anymore'' :| also this game started to feel like borderline gambling....the only difference is that here you have a 0 chance at wining anything other than more mental damage : ^ )
@@ishyameru6232 it rly was like an addiction to me but at least i didnt pay a ton of money on skins (barely 50$ in the 8 years i've played) unlike several ppl i know. I know ppl who failed college because of being too obsessed with this game. It's kinda like being addicted with gatcha games for some. Still i kind of regret all the time i've wasted with this.
I feel like a lot of league content has grown very formulaic with the loss of a lot of big community members (who left for the reasons you're discussing) but this video reminds me of some of the vids I loved the most getting into the game. I'm shocked you have such low interaction considering the quality of the video. Great editing, well paced, funny jokes, and strong points voiced in an entertaining way, keep it up- you've earned a sub.
He said that it feels like Christmas when they add skins to monster champions, Christmas comes every 365 days. Zilean skins come every 1000+ days, they are rarer than Christmas.
I'm pretty sure I recall in the early iterations of the Honor system, you would honor your opponents rather than your own team. I have no idea why they gave us the current iteration instead of keeping that, because the current honor system usually just ends up with every member of the team honoring whoever carried that match rather than actually honoring them for being respectful and well-mannered. Part of me wants to try League again because some of the champions are really fun to play but it's just not worth it between the poor balancing, egregious monetisation systems and dumpster fire of a playerbase.
2012 Friend introduces me to League and 5 of us have a ton of fun of even though we have no idea what we're doing. That never happens again. 2014 After playing League on and off, some of us try making a Ranked team. We make like Bronze 1, get bored and drop the team. We realize we used to have fun BECAUSE we didn't know anything, not in spite of it. 2015 I basically quit League and uninstall when I realize other video games I play are just...fun, not this "intense frustrating experience that's somehow fun because... reasons?" 2018 After not playing for 3 years, one of my friends suggests installing and trying League again to play the new Nexus Blitz We play one match and are reminded why we quit. We immediately uninstall again and have never played since. 2023 We discover Deep Rock Galactic _Rock and Stone!!!_
Subbing because this video speaks 100% to my soul. I've been playing League since Season 4 and all the grievances I had with the game were said in this video. I don't play League anymore, atleast not when I have a reason to, also I only play Wild Rift because I'm bored or friends want to play XD. League has become really formulaic and greedy with the direction it is headed. The last time I had fun playing was when the Odyssey event was released. Actually all PVE Modes were fun, especially Doom Bots of Doom. When Riot's 10th year announcement came, I'm already drawn to the conclusion that they'll never fix League and neglect it's community some time in the future and I was right. A lot of my favorite content creators also shifted their content besides League because League is so dogsht. I guess the good ones like Darkkmane and Dumbs which are really entertaining content creators and they genuinely have fun playing the game without following the meta as well. League will be forever in my heart but the toxic relationship I had with this game really broke me. I've stopped playing League competitively for almost 3 years now and I have the funnest time of my life. Just quit League, while you're ahead, don't get stuck in the spiral of frustration and burnout.
Thanks to this game I have become a lonely individual who hates teamwork, doesn't know how to live in community, doesn't trust anyone and wants to do everything by himself. I may have psicological and emotional problems but I must say is worth it.
My biggest gripe on the game is how unfair the treatment of the champions are given. I hate seeing the same 10 human champs over and over again through different artworks, events, etc. whilke the rest of the 100+ champs never got a bit of spotlight. Take Skarner who is like 10 years old yet has like 5 skins + forgotten + delayed rework, while Kaisa (who is the age of a kindergartner currently) got tons of skins, a legendary, her own kpop band, etc. There is no creativity anymore at this point and I could really feel the favouritism because I play an unpopular champ who barely have any lore.
you can blame the playerbase for why there's so many normie champions if there was a demand for more ohio-esque champions then Riot would change their designs accordingly but at the end of the day would you rather fuck a woman or a voidling? your answer to that question is the answer to your question.
I only play League like once or twice every couple of months, I haven't played ranked in years and I couldn't care less about the skins, which is why I still enjoy the game, even after playing it for over a decade. But I can imagine that for the people who play on the regular basis, the lack of new content, Riot's sluggish pace of fixing things and asinine balance changes are extremely annoying and make them feel burned out
the one problem i FEEL every time is the fact that if anyone on your team is bad it can throw your hard work you have done in your lane into the trash and that is why it is so toxic
The thing with the Summoners Rift skin is maybe the most baffling of all of them. Yeah its too much work ok But basically 2 fans made an amazing summoners rift custom skin with custom animations, elements and full support for the dragons within a few weeks.
I agree with most things said. My biggest takeaway is that holy shit this channel needs more love. The script, editing, pacing, quality, everything was amazing. 10/10. Keep up the incredible work
Smurfs have ruined this game. I cannot have fun, I cannot ask new people come back with me, its infested with smurfs. You see bronze games where half the people are smurfs.
As someone who's played league for 12 years straight, most game-breaking bugs were fixed asap and I personally never experienced them, the content is solid and what attracts most people, battle passes are some of the most forgiving in gaming and you get a ton of loot for 10 bucks, prestige skins are no longer permanently gone if you miss out on them so you don't have to get hooked by anxiety from missing out on skins (except Victorious). Earlier seasons were less balanced but more fun, everyone had many ways to play the game and snowballing/falling behind wasn't that easy, thus many people loved league for the fun. Now if you're a casual player getting matched against a Diamond Riven main because he's playing with his bronze friends, you have no choice but to sit under tower and hope his dives don't get you permabanned for dying a lot. The only reason this game feels like shit to play is because it's a team game that is heavily competitive and affected by little mistakes that can take you out of the game for the next 30 minutes. Little mistakes means bad experience, bad experience means toxic community, toxic community means no fun.
I was about to write a comment like that... But yeah the only thing i can add to that is the arena gamemode which is FUN somehow with how sometimes there is a broken duo that can't be defeated (taric and kai'sa)
I watched this video cause someone sent it to me expecting it to have several thousands of views with the quality but it doesnt. You deserve so much more attention than you are getting right now really good video.
This is probably one of the most fun league video i ever seen , for how much truth you said. I used to play this game a lot and see him in this state feels kinda sad, but whatever Riot just put in the trash everything good from the past, anyway keep going with those video you have so much potential.
I'm played LoL since the end of 1 season. It was blowminding at the beginning, I spent thousands of hours in the game. I am worked as a cook and has hard times, but even after a day of work I played LoL until 2-3 a.m of night and it was superfun. Every skin was like a birthday. Me and my 2 friends spend hundreds of days for playing old and new Twisted Treeline ranked games, we was at high diamond and after some time at low challenger. I watched every LCS / LCK and even gambled. Oh my gosh, I am even played solo normal 3v3 in TT 2000+ games!!! Sadly, the more Riot patched LoL, the more I'm feeling that this game is not for me. I was 1v9 assassin jngl type player, my mains - Kayn, Eve, Kha, Xin and old Aatrox. They killed jngl several times and they exactly didnt know what to do with that role. Jnglers punished too much and when they implemented bounties even FOR OBJECTIVES not only heroes I understood - I cant play anymore. More of it, every game I am feeling exhaust myself, doesnt matter win or lose. Cybersport mindset in every player head, even in gold-platinum, every wants to play like a pro and the game itself pushes you to do this. So, I am just dropped this game and currently playing TFT in regular. It has a nice LP system, you have no team and it gives me fun :) I'm not feeling myself tired of it, my elo high diamond - master. Sadly, sometimes Riot break a good balance and it can be bad optimized. P.S.: English not my main, sorry.
I recently quit league for the hundredth time after playing it for about ten years. In the past, I'd always go back because my friends couldn't let go of it, even though they got as stressed and frustrated as me. As much as people hate to admit, this game has very effective ways to keep you hooked up, and feeling really bad and then really good while playing is part of it. Thank goodness we're finding healthier replacements for league and it only took us a few years :)
What are the healthy replacements? I’ve been playing smite for maybe 6 years and waiting on smite 2 is torture but I never branches out once I got a PC
Amazing video man, you really show why the game is so frustrating to even play sometimes, like you said the game becomes 10 times better with friends, but in solo matches is hard to even care hahaha, all the others things you said already in the video are true, welp hope one day riot listen and brings a lot of fan favorites mods or visual reworks and listen the community more often
The reason behind the hate of league of legends between the league of legends community is that as smokers. They know how much harm a cigarette is able to do to you. And if you ask them they will tell you: "smoking is bad, don't smoke." that as they're smoking the biggest blunt you have ever seen.
You forgot about one thing THERE WAS A WAY TO FARM ORANGE ESSENCE It was by watching their esports games on a tab and opening the capsules to get icons that you could change into OE BUT They nerfed the OE that you get from them or completely deleted the option to turn them into OE i wouldnt know cuz they also somefuckin what nerfed drops on the most recent games i had only emotes from their capsules
There are way to many reasons to dislike LoL but personally what made me drop the game was while playing a ranked game to go from gold to plat I played top lane and had a big lead of something like 3/0/2 and plenty of farm but bot lane was getting crushed and they started flaming me for not coming to help them but even when I went they just turret dived, did dumb stuff or got super pissed at me last hitting mobs they would miss cause they weren't there. So I started focusing more on my top lane and help mid lane but then bot started flaming saying stuff about my family and such mostly about how they would find them, rape them, F them and so on. Usually I would just mute them but I really wanted to win the game at that time but eventually I got fed up and just started saying yes, sure, go ahead and just agree to whatever they said. Then after the game I reported them and they reported me. I was then hit with my first ever bann for two days because I had apperently "egged them on and contributed to a toxic community" or something like that while the two bot laners got banned for a day because of toxic behaivour. I was honestly stunned at that verdict given by the tribunal to me, who yes should have just muted them and not responded in anyway, but did not say a single insulting word and just gave sarcastic responses at worst was banned and for a longer time then two people who for like 15-20 mins talked about how they for instance would find and R my mom or sister, burn our house to the ground and so on. That was the day I personally gave up on the community and the game. Still look at content about it but I haven't played it for 2-3 years now.
I remember trying the game for myself a few months ago because I wanted to know why everyone hated it. I only played a few matches but I noticed some issues. Tutorials never go over how to play certain classes right. I had no idea how to play a "jungle" champion and I didn't even know until after stopping that certain champions are meant for certain lanes. I shouldn't need to watch 30 minute guides to figure out how to play a hero or for general tips. The game also really punishes new players. Since I didn't know I to play characters efficiently, I got steam rolled by high leveled players and ended up just feeding them exp. Then after every match? I got told I was throwing and that I'd be reported. I admit that LOL just isn't the type of game for me but it definitely felt like the game didn't bother giving me reasons to keep playing to see what it had in store. I think the only good thing that came from this is Arcane.
Damn man that's a really great video, I totally agree with everything and also I think it has to get more views, idk if riot one day will actually listen to the community but I'll do everything so they can see all the criticism that's going from us and I hope there's just a small % of a chance that they will do something with this...
I've left League about 3 or 4 years ago, after joining in s1 (Vayne patch). I simply decided that I lose too much sanity with every next game. It might be funny to someone, but ever since I stopped playing team-based competetive games I recovered from being perpetually angry - at trolls, at toxic people, and then at people who just fucked up, because after swimming in sewage you begin to stink as well. I feel better now. Like, genuinly calmer and not being anxious because of playing games that often anymore. It's just... Stuff like this don't disappear easily. Lately I picked up Starcraft 2, because why not. It's way better, because in 1v1 you are responsive on your win and nobody can change that. You fucked up? Your fault. Then, I tried to play 2v2. Lost around 4 games (because placements are brutal). Stopped playing 2v2 after I nearly flamed teammate for not performing well enough. Then, I sat down, cursed League for making me like this and sticked to 1v1 afterwards. I just hope to recover someday.
I quit LoL two years ago and I haven't been happier playing other games since. The world of Runeterra is amazing and I love lots of LoL characters, which is why I'm also excited for the Riot MMO and Fighting game. For now, you should try Legends of Runeterra, it's uses the world of Runeterra 10 times better than league with it's own voice lines and character interactions.
I actually enjoy League. Playing high skill floor and skill ceiling champs makes the game actually fun, playing against champs that are strong overall because of their easy playstyle and meta is just another challenge to best my performance. Toxicity wasn’t an obstacle for me so far as i tend to ignore it. I play only 2-6 rankeds a day to keep myself sane. not taking the game so seriously is the key to enjoyable gaming experience. Also being invested in the Runneterra lore is a way to make the game fun as you don’t focus fully on the gameplay.
@@Lukilla98 only non gamers prefer a game like Lol over Dota. Dota is better in everyway except selling skins, characters and making the game easy so a 5 year old can play it.
I think there has not been a bad game mode in League. Ive enjoyed all of them but i miss Dominion and Nexus Blitz the most. Also when they changed Howling Abyss to Butcher's Bridge when they reworked Graves and TF(notsure?) it was a fresh taste for ARAM.
Awesome video man, i was surprised to see that you are under 1k subs! Felt really high quality and super entertaining :) I hope the algorithm picks this up and more people get to watch you
I read a comment the other day that perfectly encapsulated my experience as a long time league addict Win = feel nothing Lose = the voices are back Its funny, but it is because its true. I couldnt enjoy myself with this game at all whether I won or lost. Climbing a Division only made me anxious of being demoted again. Winning was alright, feeling safe, but anxious about next Game. Would I get a feeding team or be counterpicked hard? And I spent entire days doing almost nothing but playing this Game and I hated it even as I was playing. I wanted to Go skate, do Something nice, but I couldnt. Competitive Games can be infuriating, but I think competivie games, where random people Play in a Team and everyone suffers from the Performance of everyone else, those games can easily get very depressing. Also in Games Like CS and CoD you might lose a Match, but its not that long a time and you feel much more Agency about your experience. In League when Things go really bad, it can feel like you are roleplaying as a punching bag Ai for the other players to enjoy themselves.
What I find the most obnoxious is I can't get any advice or tips for how to play the game without someone treating me like I asked them how to climb in ranked, even though I also state how casual of a player I am. They bombard me with all of the "play ONE champion EVER" and "nobody on your team matters, you're the only one that matters" mentality. I see the merit, but can I not just get some general advice without all of League's sweatiest trying to groom me into the next [insert popular comp player]? Is it not possible for a casual player to want to also improve enough that they can comfortably play WITHOUT going into ranked? And then even the advice I get almost sounds like everyone is competing with each other. One person saying "ignore their advice" or "they're gold, don't listen to them." Everyone out to invalidate each other as if people don't have different ways of learning or playing video games. You can't take even the most mundane aspect of this game in hand without it being drenched and sopping with sweat. Do people even enjoy this game or do they simply wish to climb to be the best and tell everyone else to suck their dust, simultaneously talking shit to anyone and everyone who so much as glances at them with a bit of cynicism? I had always heard that League had the world's most toxic community but I didn't think even the supposedly helpful people would be just as toxic as the trolls and throwers.
As a Wild Rift player, it's not much better over here. The problems with the game aren't glitch based, but rather gameplay and queue based. I have gone on and on about how I can try to and enjoy a normal PvP match, but oh, here comes a grandmaster on our team and the enemy team (with additional "ranked not unlocked" players that aren't equally matched on the enemy team). I am on Emerald. The gaps between skill determined by rank are so massive that I already know there is no way in hell I'm winning that match. Like you said, they'll get fed by targeting and end up destroying everyone no matter what. It only gets worse when nobody will ff, KNOWING how hopeless a match is. It is almost never a 50/50 chance to win like they so adamantly claim. But I would get penalized for seeing that a 6 to 46 match is hopeless if the reporting system did shit? In fact, after I win too many matches, I start to see grandmasters, even LEGENDARY RANKS, on the enemy team every single game. Once they lower all the stats I worked my ass off for in a single day, they back off and put me in just a few lobbies with bronze and ranked not unlocked players. Almost like an insult to my own skill, and I have to ruin the enemy team's day because now I'm the higher skill gap. It's disheartening that they had so much potential, as the potential is why I still play, but choose to throw it all away for greed and general disregard for the player experience. They made ranked matches more fair by implementing a certain rank range, but refuse to do that in any other mode. I'm not learning anything from the higher ranks when I'm forced to play with them; I'm angry that my 61% winrate after 200 matches is down to 56% in a couple hours of playing. But at least there's a new skin for one of my beloved characters coming out tonight- oh wait, they released the info for it too soon and decided to push it back another month without telling anyone. Not a single word. They aren't even putting enough effort into the things that actually matter to them. Riot needs to sort their shit out before I ever recommend this game to anyone.
outside of the rank smuggling shenanigans that rito does to keep your dopamine up (like in my promotion game when my bot never played bot and he was a jgler and a toplaner) it's so annoying there is no mode for new players to play in
Same here. I've been diamond all seasons, and now I can barely stay in emerald IV. I just keep losing and losing and the mmr just gets worse. I've been losing almost nonstop. My wr used to be like 57% and now I'm at 48% and getting lower. And it's not me, cause I'm playing the same as always or even better than previous seasons, but I just keep getting punished.
Okay, i haven't enjoyed watching a league vid in a while but this, this does put a smile on my face, i loved the video dude. wellplayed and you are totally right!
Genuinely, the two worst incidents of flaming I encountered were in LOL... One was in real life! 1.) I still remember, around 2012 or something, I went to a net cafe, I was waiting for some friends and I asked a guy if I was allowed to watch him play LOL. "DON'T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT YOU !#@$!%$!@!%, WHY DO #!@%$!@%$ LIKE YOU COME HERE". Yeap, just for asking if I could watch. Hell of a guy this one... 2.) In a LOL game this time... Around 2013 or 2014 this time. There was no strict "laning" back then, so we went wherever (and I was a noob playing with noobs so...yeah...). There was no jungler even, but I wanted to play top solo, so I said to another guy "Kassadin down". Ok, I admit I could have said please or something. Anyhow... What came after was genuinely the worst barrage of insults I have ever endured. The guy went on for 5 minutes swearing against me, my family, my health, my existence... For asking him to change his lane! And towards the end of the game. He went at it again! I have played D2 and WoW for many many years. WoW is comparatively sterilized but I have never experienced something like that even in D2. P.S All this has a lot less to do with the people who play LOL and a lot more with the way the game is designed.
I playes from season 3 to maybe 9, they just changed everything i love about the game, and on top of that kept adding more champions to "balance" the game killing the uniqueness of its characters. Don't get me wrong, new things are very much needed, but at least balance your game, fulfill your players wants and needs and then have the audacity to touch the game and add more stuff
I actually feel like the game is in a lot better place now. A lot of the stigma towards league of legends started many years back when it was only getting introduced to esports and a couple years after. The difference in UI and beginner friendliness is night and day just over the last year alone. I started as a new player 4 years ago, dropped it and didn't play again until some time this year. IT IS SO MUCH BETTER. Things like rune pages, item builds, and even sums are laid out in front of you clearly telling what is good at the current moment in the meta and what is good in specific matchups. The one major downfall of league that I see that isn't actively being worked on or changed is the community. But, well... You can just mute chat and completely solve the problem. If people communicate and flame, they wont tilt nearly as hard. You can even mute pings now which wasn't an option before. I'm just a little confused why people still say "oh ew you play league" since the origin of that mindset was from basically a decade ago. Its a completely different game now and I wish people would see it in a different light. If there was a game deserving of the hate, I would even argue Valorant is worse now and is actually deserving of the stigma. Trying to climb ranked? Too bad there's smurfs (sorry). Trying to have fun in unranked lobbies? Well thats too bad as well, there's tryhards and e-daters in voice chat. IM NOT JOKING ITS COMMON. Do you want to play in low elo? High elo? Well low elo is filled with trolls and high elo... also filled with trolls but they actually know what they're doing so they can troll even harder now. In all, Rito games, the small indie company, has come far from where it started and honestly the games they produce at least feel playable now and that's great. It doesn't necessarily deserve the hate that it gets but at the same time maybe it does (a little bit). People just need to play the games for themselves before having an opinion.
I'm by no means invalidating what was said in the video, I'm not even covering the same things and the points are completely valid. My only other two points are that 6 minutes of the video is about cosmetics which don't affect the game directly. I would also argue that the "events" in league aren't even super important. League is ultimately meant to be on summoners rift and while I'm upset about the other modes leaving it's not the end of the world because the main game is still there. You can access 100% of the game completely for free just by playing more so I don't think it's really valid to complain about that.
Fr people sometimes just like to hate for absolutely no reason, despite the fact that the hatred is either by players who are simply bad at the game OR "players" who barely played the actual game (or play it just for content)
Yeah for a 14 year old game(cant believe how old I am) they really havent added much content at all. It's very hard to stay interested in the game when you have over 10k ranked games played and they dont innovate at all.
and btw anpther funny thing is THE PATH FINDER SYSTEM that fks ur vibe totally and gets u killed or the memory overload that DO NOT PROCESS U PRESSING UR ABILITY BUTTON AND THE ABILITY DOESNT WORK, (and that is the thing usually ur friend say and u dont belive him, but it is true - not every time we say it happend, but it can happen)
10:24 HAHAHA I absolutely LOVE IT how he's referencing the Overwatch 2 Battle Pass, basically indirectly saying OW2's is better! That's the best insult I've ever witnessed ANYWHERE, and Riot definitely deserves it. Edit: 12:50 HAHAHAHAAAAAAAA YES!
Personally, I quit this game entirely when Riot made it clear that experimenting with character builds and strategies would no longer be welcome (this was the most fun part for me, and the main reason I played the game). First there was the balance patch when they admitted to killing Ekko's tank build entirely because they didn't like it, then there was the perma-banning of Take The Draw for playing a very unconventional Nunu strat and winning so hard he rose to Diamond division in a very short time, but because his teammates whined about it, it was considered disruptive behaviour. I used to hate Dota 2 when I played LoL regularly, then I decided to give it a more serious try and had a much more enjoyable experience (you can still have the occasional dickhead ruining the fun for the team, but it only happened once every 10-20 games at most).
I genuinely feel you so hard on the world building stuff. I love Runeterra so much that I bought a book about it, have watched Arcane in one sitting 6 times. Watch lore videos. And am now trying to learn to play League because it's the closest I can get while waiting for the mmo in 12 years. I am attempting to learn to jungle Kindred because Kindred is cool. It is not going well
The game is just so flawed. Matchmaking is unbalanced. Playing solo is literally rng. Players often quit or afk of cbf. Players ego’s are so fragile. 1 player can win a game just as equally 1 player can ruin a game. Items are unbalanced. Of all champs, only maybe 50 after effectively viable. Inters and toxic don’t get punished. Players can’t itemise or build accordingly. Anywhere below ranked emerald is just basically aram. Honour system does nothing. Should I continue?
I played LoL back in high school with some friends like over 10 years ago now. We were all long time friends and liked to play games together online. They showed me the trailer for League and I thought it looked cool. When I installed it and we started playing together, but it only took a few months for my friends to turn into rabid ranked players who insulted me for playing casually. It eventually came to a head and we got in a huge argument and I literally have never talked to them since. This game changes people for the worst.
I play this garbage for the same reason as you, I just like one champion and all the content that comes with him. But I understand that this is an addiction, like gambling, because every time I enter the game I think: "well, now I will use a new tactic, I will be more careful and patient" and everything starts in a circle. Fiddlesticks is broken with a couple of pokes at the initial stage of the game, because he is a glass cannon, and the opponents took champions-universal soldiers, who have Wolverine's regeneration, Flash's speed and Hulk's strength. Teammates say you only need to pick certain champions to win against the enemy team's champion build, which means your skill on your favorite champion means nothing in this game

The part where he mentions bugs I was really surprised, maybe it's a different experience thing, but I almost never see bugs in league.
honestly, there are not that many bugs.

Tell me about it. I play taliyah a fair bit, and her skins have so much potential with all the effects she does

Waiting for Riot to turn out like Boeing is right now
I'm so glad someone stated at least part of my vision on League problems, that is Riot refusing to see League firstly as a GAME, where people should have FUN playing.
Dota 2 is a really good moba; however, it is a slow paced game and not as flashy as league.

Bruh if a video game brings you stress if your not high elo go reevaluate yourself I say that in the most respectful way
The thing is, people always complain about "We get no gamemodes" or "there are 2 many skins" but then they proceed to not play any of the gamemodes and then buy all the skins.

What do you mean you’ve been “clean” 😭 the way you all talk about the game sounds like my R6 addiction and it’s scary 😂
This channel deserves way more attention. The editing and script are really damn good, hope you keep on making videos 😊
Agreed big time, this the comment I was looking for.
2012
Friend introduces me to League and 5 of us have a ton of fun of even though we have no idea what we're doing.
That never happens again.
2014
After playing League on and off, some of us try making a Ranked team. We make like Bronze 1, get bored and drop the team. We realize we used to have fun BECAUSE we didn't know anything, not in spite of it.
2015
I basically quit League and uninstall when I realize other video games I play are just...fun, not this "intense frustrating experience that's somehow fun because... reasons?"
2018
After not playing for 3 years, one of my friends suggests installing and trying League again to play the new Nexus Blitz
We play one match and are reminded why we quit.
We immediately uninstall again and have never played since.

the orange essence part of getting a skin is most evil greedy thing I've seen in a live service video games
You are 12 bro you will grow out of it in a month
@@kintama661 I am 22
Play wild rift thats way more fun🤝🏼
My biggest gripe on the game is how unfair the treatment of the champions are given. I hate seeing the same 10 human champs over and over again through different artworks, events, etc. whilke the rest of the 100+ champs never got a bit of spotlight. Take Skarner who is like 10 years old yet has like 5 skins + forgotten + delayed rework, while Kaisa (who is the age of a kindergartner currently) got tons of skins, a legendary, her own kpop band, etc. There is no creativity anymore at this point and I could really feel the favouritism because I play an unpopular champ who barely have any lore.
You know there's over 100 champions right?
you can blame the playerbase for why there's so many normie champions
if there was a demand for more ohio-esque champions then Riot would change their designs accordingly
but at the end of the day would you rather fuck a woman or a voidling? your answer to that question is the answer to your question.
because the chinese playerbase wants every champion to be a handsome or pretty anime character and therefore rito must deliver
Welp, Skarner just got a whole VGU update so I htink that's waht they were working on for the last couple years probably
Yeah its too much work ok
But basically 2 fans made an amazing summoners rift custom skin with custom animations, elements and full support for the dragons within a few weeks.
I used to play this game a lot and see him in this state feels kinda sad, but whatever Riot just put in the trash everything good from the past, anyway keep going with those video you have so much potential.
agreed we all hate it when the net dies or even the riot servicers dies only to get punish mid game
How do you scroll battle pass rewards? I have only free one and I'm using mouse and it's trash lol
Touch some grass
League is the gaming equivalent of doomscrolling
What are the healthy replacements? I’ve been playing smite for maybe 6 years and waiting on smite 2 is torture but I never branches out once I got a PC

Amazing video man, you really show why the game is so frustrating to even play sometimes, like you said the game becomes 10 times better with friends, but in solo matches is hard to even care hahaha, all the others things you said already in the video are true, welp hope one day riot listen and brings a lot of fan favorites mods or visual reworks and listen the community more often
great video, ur way underrated
i've grown to really like the world and characters of this game and its a shame the actual gameplay is so daunting lol
The reason behind the hate of league of legends between the league of legends community is that as smokers. They know how much harm a cigarette is able to do to you. And if you ask them they will tell you: "smoking is bad, don't smoke." that as they're smoking the biggest blunt you have ever seen.
Thank you, if I ever feel like playing it again, I'm coming here to rewatch and Recover my sanity.
You forgot about one thing
THERE WAS A WAY TO FARM ORANGE ESSENCE
It was by watching their esports games on a tab and opening the capsules to get icons that you could change into OE
BUT
They nerfed the OE that you get from them or completely deleted the option to turn them into OE i wouldnt know cuz they also somefuckin what nerfed drops on the most recent games i had only emotes from their capsules
I wanted to mention that too but decided to skip over it. I could probably make a 20 minute video alone talking only about the loot system :P
Omg man this is horrible.
Nexus blitz was fucking amazing. I played that shit sooooo much. Love the mini games within the game.
"Spread it out how I spread Kindred's ass"- first thing I hear. this man of culture has earned a sub
That one moment in the game when the enemy team won and the Teemo that went 0/15 says "gg ez" is already enough reason why this game is a joke.

Try dota its like a 100 times better in every way.

Regarding the bugs, I barely ever encounter bugs, they don't realistically happen, and usually are not game breaking
As an ex-player who left LoL, I'm glad they created Arcane so the non-player fans of LoL can have something to enjoy
Awesome video man, i was surprised to see that you are under 1k subs! Felt really high quality and super entertaining :) I hope the algorithm picks this up and more people get to watch you
I read a comment the other day that perfectly encapsulated my experience as a long time league addict
Win = feel nothing
Lose = the voices are back
Its funny, but it is because its true.
19:21 Don't forget about Arcane
the only reason to play lol is to troll and dick around
when you hated your day, otherwise i cant imagine why you would honestly play it for real
Riot needs to sort their shit out before I ever recommend this game to anyone.
outside of the rank smuggling shenanigans that rito does to keep your dopamine up

Hate is such a weak word to use
Oh well, I am glad that I am not missing anything by playing Wild Rift instead of the computer version.
18:36 nice cannon
:((((((
I playes from season 3 to maybe 9, they just changed everything i love about the game, and on top of that kept adding more champions to "balance" the game killing the uniqueness of its characters.
I basically played this game for a weekend, had no clue what I was doing the entire time and just quit lol.
Play again
to be fair i do agree that fortnite has a batter battle pass system then lol
and btw anpther funny thing is THE PATH FINDER SYSTEM that fks ur vibe totally and gets u killed
or the memory overload that DO NOT PROCESS U PRESSING UR ABILITY BUTTON AND THE ABILITY DOESNT WORK, (and that is the thing usually ur friend say and u dont belive him, but it is true - not every time we say it happend, but it can happen)
The potential to be a greater game is still there.
Riot!!!
i disagree that bugs are a problem. in myamy years of playing i have not even once encountered a bug
Why did they remove twisted treeline 😭😭😭
Agreed
ngl the 2v2v2v2 mode is actually fun
I played LoL back in high school with some friends like over 10 years ago now. We were all long time friends and liked to play games together online. They showed me the trailer for League and I thought it looked cool. When I installed it and we started playing together, but it only took a few months for my friends to turn into rabid ranked players who insulted me for playing casually. It eventually came to a head and we got in a huge argument and I literally have never talked to them since. This game changes people for the worst.
Damn, seeing the old 3v3 did bring back some memories though... Even way back then, everyone knew changing the map was a mistake.
Everyone: I hate league of legends!
Also Everyone: *Stays*
14:19 where is this from? :D
If bro did know about the 500$ Ahri skin that will come xDDD
Yeah enemy picks overloaded champs and good luck having fun
Neeko becoming a minion crossed the line
They removed all chat from wild rift 💀
And dont let u mute ur teammate 💀💀

No one actually hates league of legends. It just always fascinated me how much I can love a game, while simultaneously hating everyone who plays it.
