@@ultrawidetechchannel No worries, take your time. It’s a Ubisoft game so, better wait a week or two before publishing. Don’t worry good sir, your channel will grow faster than you think, QD OLED monitors made Ultrawide more mainstream.
Thanks for all the info in this one and having results for 5120x1440 since I just moved to the G9 OLED and good to know what I could expect. Amazing that top tier cards are preforming just enough for 60 fps.
On the outer planets and on space stations fps is higher but as you can see in the space benchmark even the lightest workload in this game is still not going to give you crazy high frame rates.
Thankyou! Very informative as always for us UW players. My poor RTX4080 (over 7900xtx) was definitely the wrong choice for a Starfield tailored build (back in Feb). I would have liked to see how the four top cards handled High settings in your comparison too.
Hardware Unboxed found that ultra shadows had a significant performance impact on Nvidia GPUs. The big boost in performance when you dropped the 4070 Ti to high settings seems to align with this. I wonder if the top of the stack would have shifted if you ran the top 4 cards at high. I really don’t see how the 4080 could lose to the 7900 XT.
I do have that Data and at lower resolutions at high the RTX 4080 can out perform the 7900XT in New Atlantas (though not in space) but that is only because the 4080 is not cpu limited to as low a level as the AMD cards are, you see at 5k2k even when both are on high settings the 7900XT still out performs the 4080's average. It just comes down to the extra access that AMD got early on for optimization.
A couple tips for someone like me that isn’t looking for a 4070. 1. Can you timestamp the different settings used, like medium at x time and high at x time? 2. Any possibility of seeing an RX 7700 XT?
I have a 5900x cpu so I will be severely cpu bottlenecked on my 7900xt. Does that mean I should just go ahead and use Ultra settings to max out the GPU in 3440x1440? With or w/o FSR?
You might as well use ultra settings as XT has the power to do over 60fps in all scenarios and it should mainly be the cities that you see the CPU bottlenecking. Most combat areas should be pretty ok and space flight sould be fine.
Very informative video.
It's very cool that you also show the performances at lesser graphical settings !
Thank you.
Thanks I knew this was a hard game to run so I figured it would be helpful.
Awesome testing man! Subbed and liked. Thanks for running this niche use case for us. Hoping to see AC Mirage benchmarks when it releases next month.
You will but I won't be day one it takes me a bit to get these done. I wish I had more time and resources to do them faster

@@004vamsi Thanks, lets hope it's better optimized that we are expecting it to be.
Finally a channel for ultrawiders :)
Take a look around and I'll continue to do my best to serve this comunity.

60 fps in 2023 LOL
Times are tough with modern AAA games.

@@ultrawidetechchannel yeah it is crazy. I guess we need new gpus now to run ultrawide resolutions
@@JUICEe36 Hopefully there is some performance that can come from both Bethesda optimizing and better drivers.

Ya it's hard to predict these things so far out. There is still hope for better drivers if some of the reports are true.

Have you had to chance to run these again with the new 1.8 beta patch? Hearing 40XX series received a decent boost in performance
No I have the game pass version of the game so I have to wait for the broad release. I can't get access to the beta.

Does Starfield Support Ultrawide already? I've read that an upcoming patch was adding ultrawide support so I assumed it does not yet support it.
It supports 21:9 but not 32:9 you need the super ultrawide fix for that. Though hopefully the native support will come soon.
Hey do you think a 4070 mobile can drive a 3440x1440 for games like StarField and CP 2077? Like would I be comprising a lot of settings to get 60fps?
I think you would be looking at medium settings no RT which isn't bad looking but is a decent step down in visuals from max.
wow thats a lot of gpus nice
It was a fair bit of work but this community deserves some bigger comparisons.
it's super frustrating only getting sub 50fps on my 3080 + 3440x1440p ultrawide even on low settings, I just don't get it and I've moved on lol
What CPU are you using? That card should be able to do better.
This is a disaster of a game.
Unoptimized mess!
AMD favorite game. 😂
2010 Graphics, with 2023 requirements, pathetic!
The low level of performance out of this game was truly surprising.
