Love your videos, man. You've been my consistent go to for 3440x1440 benchmarks. One suggestion: Get a better mic for your on camera comments. Your voice is loud and clear on your voice-overs, but your on-screen voice isn't as loud or clear. I think it'd help your videos if you got either a boom mic or one of those clip-on mics. Keep up the great work!👍
Thanks. I know, had issues with my Mic this recording session and due to the way my life works it's hard to get time to record on camera so i just had to try and fix it as best i could in software and go with what i had.
Thank you for the video. I just found your channel and love the Ultrawide content. I was trying to decide between a 4070 Super and 7900XT while they are on sale right; and was curious if AMD's RT + FSR has improved enough to be playable because the 7900XT is the better purchase in the long run imo.
AMDs RT performance is perfectly fine for all games and perform on par to a 4070Ti in newer games, except Cyberpunk 2077 and Alan Wake 2 where the ultra RT and Path Tracing are just to much. Older RT titles will run faster on the Ti than the 7900XT but the XT still will get you over 60 in almost all of those titles.
I’m on a 6950xt which handles everything pretty well at native 3440x1440 but I’m sure there is performance being left on the table by not using upscaling in games. Do you have a video explaining how to set all of this up in the first place in games and in the Adrenalin software? I’m also debating getting a 38” monitor for 3840x1600 resolution and was thinking I’d need to upgrade to a 7900xtx to maintain the frames I’d want but it seems with fsr and afmf I wouldn’t necessarily need to
For the fully integrated in the game versions, it's not noticeable, especially since all those include anti-lag as part of the feature set. For the driver version, as long as you're over 60 FPS and not playing a first person or third person game that's going to be affected by the frame rate drop, it's also fine.

@@ultrawidetechchannelyou could probably even use a cellphone mic believe it or not. 👌

Amazing!! Thanks for this video, it's a really well made.
What do you think RDR2 will perform in this situation?
Based on the RDR2 benchmarks i have seen for the 7900XT using the settings I used for FSR+AFMF you will likely be over 200fps
FSR 3.1 is much improved and is available in 4 of sony's new pc games and more game will have it soon
Sadly, I don't own any of those games yet. I look forward to having it in games that I can test soon.

Quality must be getting a massive hit with those FPS numbers skyrocketing
thank you sir
My pleasure
how's the latency? any improvement?
