I see a lot of comments giving any partial truths in the description HERE’s the REAL TRUTH. Back in the 80s, Wally (Gotye) was performing in Japan under the name Gaijin--though he is ethnically a full quarter Japanese, he doesn’t look it at all. In fact, Wally actually grew up in Japan and speaks fluent Japanese. His music career was born in 1980, and soon he became a star in Japan, with this song being his anthem. By 1988, when this performance was recorded, Gaijin was a veteran star in Japan, but he was really just coasting of hits he wrote between 78 and 83. During the 90s he was largely forgotten. In the 2000s, he changed his name to Gotye (Got Ya) as a practical joke to see how long people would take to remember who he was. He performed new music in Australia and Europe and very few recognized him. It was until he got sick of being a nobody that he broke out his anthem again, in 2011. This is when he achieved true international success. But still, very few remembered his past in Japan. Only now are people starting to remember Japanese star of the 80s _Gaijin._ It’s safe to say Gaijin Gotye. In fact, he Gotysal.

Ah you must mean this one: ua-cam.com/video/Ch1aVmjvYTI/v-deo.html
Hildegard von Blingin actually did a medieval version.
i deadass thought this was recorded in 1988, so i was fully ready to see an 8-year-old gotye.
When was it recorded than ?
@@jaedenlast5756 it was probably around when the song was released since they look young, they most likely wanted to give it a "1988's vibe" that's why it says that in the title
It was recorder in 2012 actually
what u didnt know is htat hes a vampire
I was literally glitching because I had checked his age a few months ago and he was like 40 something so I was like how the hell did they do that-
I love the fake sensation of nostalgia that this video brings
Fake? Nah dog. It's Real!
So you should listen to retrowave then
I've been on a fauxstalgia kick lately.
It's very meta.
The song is old you should feel nostalgic in some way. Unless you're young.
I Remember Playing This Song Back In 1988 When It Was First Released! Good Memories!👍
THIS VERSION NEEDS TO BE ON SPOTIFY!!!

Oh, god, i miss all of 80's kings - Michael Jackson, Billy Ocean, Journey, Gotye feat. Kimbra..

Gotye feat. Kimbra ☠️
*Hee hee*
Афон Слепцовский don’t forget the great 80’s (whatever genre they are) musicians like Bruno Mars and Pharrell.
Only now are people starting to remember Japanese star of the 80s _Gaijin._
It’s safe to say Gaijin Gotye. In fact, he Gotysal.
This reminds me of a summer that never existed
😂😂😂
Lol ouch, too real
Thank you, that trulyvmade me smile xDD

Yeah, that was legendary! I‘ll never forget how he got embarrassed as Freddy gave him a kiss in front of the audience.
