I wanna clarify that visualization will help you with MORE than just aim, it can help you learn almost every mechanic you want to practice and refine, as long as you're giving input. Strafing, character abilities, things like that are all important to understand and use with visualization.
as a person that Can Not See the Apple, visualization is still so important, especially when it comes to that feeling comment. Focusing on how my hand felt as I aim trained highlighted so many issues I had with my mouse control, its amazing how much you can learn when you just give yourself a moment to think on it and feel it
I essentially already do this to an extent and it's probably what got me so good at aiming in the first place. Was never a conscious decision to start doing it, but I'm *constantly* imagining ways I could improve my aim by how I grip the mouse, how I'm sitting, keeping it steady etc etc. As I watch my aim clips I also subconsciously play a "mental" sound for lack of a better word, every time I flick. Almost as if I'm making a marker for it in my brain. I haven't done this with any games yet however so I'll let you know how I get on with that
This is so interesting, I never knew this was an actual technique. I sometimes go through my firing range routine in my head when I'm trying to fall asleep, but I didn't realize it actually helps. Gonna try some actual scenarios tonight and see how it effects my gameplay tomorrow
I've been doing this unconsciously, like when I zone out or even when i'm sleeping. It helps but I need to try to visualize consciously so I can make it more vivid.
another thing to do is to analyze every loss. if you lose a fight don't default to complaining (which i do a lot) but try to see what you could've done differently, what different approach you could've taken and what mistakes you could've corrected. Then implement the corrections in future games / fights.
This and I can confirm is an EXTREMELY useful technique. I found a similar video when I first switched to mnk to play valorant. I did this EVERY day for 5-10 minutes before bed and when I woke up. Then I stopped playing Val switched back to controller for a bit and completely forgot about this technique until now haha. Very good video and explanation!
I've already been doing visualization unconsciously already quite a lot (more-or-less) but I've never thought of consciously adding in as much extra, vivid and more specific details as much as possible to make a mindful effort of making it even more effective/realistic. I'll remember that. Thanks
First of all, good video, nice editing, saw in the description you edited it yourself, I cannot say I do that, so I respect it a lot. I had a couple things I wanted your thoughts on. First of all, when I started looking into visualization, I heard (from Huberman Lab Podcast) that visualization research has shown improvements in performance, but doing the actual activity creates larger improvements in performance. In a sport where you become tired, yes it'd make sense to continue practicing using visualization. What would be the gaming equivalent of this? When you're away from your pc, injured (carpal tunnel, rsi, etc)? Do you think/have sources suggesting that my previous assumption is wrong? I also thought that based on the way you described this technique, that it could serve to greatly increase your focus, which could give massive benefits to your aim and gameplay, similar to a focused meditation.
A Grade Adon to this is that you can use the technique while sleeping. Even if we don't recognise it, we dream every night and it's possible to learn to control your dreams. Since dreams are pure visualisation its perfect if u don't want to "waste" time during the day. I can approve this since I used that for a racing sport I was an athlete in.
I never knew this was a thing, but as an occasional practitioner of meditation (not an expert but occasionally practice) I can see absolutely how this would help immensely. I'm looking forward to trying this!
Bro i have done this thing unconsciously. one day i came up with this idea when i was small kid playing football and it was effective af. Funny thing was i use to miss playing football cause we use to play only 2hrs everyday and still my hunger for playing more was so much that i started visualising in between my school lecturers whenever i get used to be bored never thought i was doing absolutely right thing.
I've recently picked up more hours at work, so I have a lot less time to play. This is something I'm excited to practice and try out to hopefully get some afk reps in. 😎 Great video!
I used to, and still think about these 'visaulisation' techcniques but I guess my problem was that I was doing it AFTER a match ended or AFTER i died in an engagement in a match. What you're saying is I should create these mental scenarios and my approach to them BEFORE I get into it iirc. So yeah this is some higher level shit that i will need to practice on. Usually I play pubs (0 ranked in last 6 seasons) and so all my decision making is in the micro. I have no macro plan when pubbing. My question is..those decisions are split-second decisions too. How do I prepare for random situations that have never happened before if they're all so short-lived?
@@wrthcrw ok after actually watching the video this is very interesting because i didn't realize, but i've been doing this. when i lay in bed before falling asleep i will close my eyes and make up little apex fights in my head, sometimes i literally dream of them? i thought i was just very fixated on it but it's good to know it can be actually prouctive!
A lot of people can actually visualize, but learning to use it in a constructive and productive manner is something else. Also building upon it and visualizing more and more complex situations requires a lot of work - Most people visualize to some extent!

Wonderful! I've been doing this for so long in my head and I didn't even consider it a method of my improvement. Thanks wrthcrw!!!!

This was a big wake up call to focus on mental strength and wellness thank you wraith! Doing visualization training on my breaks at work!
yoo been waiting for this!! banger video, reminds me of stuff i learned in university but forgot about til now haha will def implement this now

Huge!!! The technique is finally here!! This video is so high quality very nice job Ms. Crw
Thank you! 😃

As a person with aphantasia, it's quite hard to follow along on this, but I would only believe that it could help a ton. Great video

this is how I was taught skateboarding and evolved to help improve almost everything I ever put myself to.

when you said open your eyes hahaha that was so sick
this is a very interesting concept, thank you
Amazing video!! :D Can't wait to apply this to my games!

Thanks for the video wraith!
Damn you really outdid yourself on this one, im really excited to give it a try.
my visualization: me winning algs as a plat player

I love aphantasia :)
finally , anime thought me something real
will visualization work effectively in a lucid dream?
ppl that have aphantasia: -__-
