Mokey sent me, I stayed for the detailed explanation and subbed because even after nearly 700hrs in this game I legit learned things from your video. Really great job!
I’ve had a hard time using c/v as the crouch input. Funnily enough I use c for hold crouch normally. I started using control as toggle crouch and space for jump with my pinky and thumb and I have gotten a lot more consistent. I have no idea why i find this way more consistent but it works 🤷♂️. Thanks, this is a amazing tutorial.
The only problem with practising that I have is I have no idea when to do the inputs, I don't know if I'm too early or too late and in like 2 hours of practice I only superglided around 5 times
Appreciate the guide!! One question, on your keyboard it should you pressing the tab button along with the space, V and direction button. I am seeing that right?
I discovered that with super gliding you need to always hit jump first. Super gliding will never work if you crouch first. I modified the known auto exec super glide file to have the crouch input happen first and it does not work.
Omg, i saw mokeysniper tutorial and spent over an hour trying to perform it but i just couldnt, i was trying it crouching with control. I binded crouch to my v asi you said, and in a few attemps (5 min trying) i finally did my first superglide, i couldnt belive it. i was like shit is this real life? After 5 secs, it can be that must have been a normal crouch slide lmao. I have some doubts still, most of the times i try it and happens this, i crouch like 0,1 sec, lil jump and then keep running, no boost, that means i did crouch + jump? I've tried so many times my thumb hurts XD, but im so happy i did a few, more than 10 and 3 consecutive ones, i didnt experience improvement in this game for a long time, i thought i reached my cap and that made me a bit sad. Anyway i didnt even start the video and i had already subbed, im looking forward seeing your other guides or whatever the content is. Sorry if my english sucks. Again thank you very much 🧡
I used to hit my superglides kinda consistently, but I have a new keyboard now and I cant hit it at all now. I can hit it better by using ctrl and scroll wheel now.
This makes almost no sense? I don't think there's almost any game that uses the FPS to calculate game logic... I guarantee the game has an internal counter and the timing for this is the exact same no matter how many fps you get. It's just based on how much you can see, but it makes absolutely 0 sense for having "lower fps" give you a bigger window... The only way this would work is if the game logic is tied to the frame rate like old NES games where increasing the frame rate increases the game's play speed
@@WhenInDoubtSemtex it makes absolutely perfect sense what do you mean? It's a frame specific movement tech. Lower frames per second = those specific frames are "wider", ultimately allowing easier recognition. 144f/1s or 60f/1s. 1/60th is bigger than 1/144. 1/144 is more narrow, ultimately making it harder.
@@ScreamingTantrum Except the game doesn't calculate your position and velocity in terms of frames. It has an internal logic counter, I'm not sure what apex's is, but the frames are just snapshots of the game state. So the amount of time that you have to input the command is the same because it's dependent on game logic, not what frame you're on. Games don't calculate what's happening in them based on the frame it's on/frame rate anymore.
@@WhenInDoubtSemtex I think your logic of frames is skewed. I play on both console and pc and I hit super glides 9/10 times on console. Pc I'm 144frames and honestly can hardly hit more than once. There are more rendered frames in one second on pc, along with a higher refresh rate of my monitor. It's like filling a bowl with cereal. There are 60 pieces of cereal in one bowl. You can crush all those pieces down to dust and have more room to put more pieces in the "one bowl". One bowl being one second. More pieces being more frames. The more pieces you add, the smaller/more condensed they become overall to fill the bowl. It's still going to always be one second. Just more rendered frames in the one second. Picking out ~3 frames from 60 is much easier than ~3 frames from 144+. The math is right there.
@@WhenInDoubtSemtex you're technically right, but it's easier to notice the "superglide frames" when you're on lower fps. You need to do it at the apex of the jump (right before you climb over whatever you jumped on. So, being on lower fps helps with noticing the apex of the jump/climb easier.
cool work, you like this exploint. I do too, Tip# 69, use ur the same body type character to get glides down, TO author- i appreciate the tips about spots of use, these are what makes the boost so cool. (Rampart, octane, wraith, revenant) all have similar height too! (Looking ahead) remnant's high climb and superjump spots that make enemys go wtf.
i watched this video and was met with the same thing i've heard every other superglide video. it takes a while to to get down, just practice in the range and eventually you'll get it down. ive put a large amount of time into learning this tech with no success, so i was dissapointed. i decided to change some of my keyboards settings...maybe on a lower polling rate, i might have more luck. i come to find out, my keyboard was set to 16 ms delay. i switched it back to 2 ms... and immediately hit the first superglide, and the next 5 out of 10. i didnt get the tips and tricks i wanted out of this video, turns out i didnt need them, but you did a great job on the vid. keep up the good work
oh man those over cliff mandatory make or break glides are not recommended :X , for me at least.. im at about 30% hit rate on my sgs. today ima focus on them, ! yes inspiration! my games have a purpose today!
Only in game FPS! It may make Supergliding *appear* easier because you see more frames or whatever, but it realistically shouldn't matter too much. You'll see a bigger difference with your in game FPS.
Not sure why, but the spacebar + nearby key combo has never hit once for me. The only ones that hit are my spacebar + mouse thumb button combo and I'm not sure why. I've tried so many different keys and attempts at using just one thumb, but I've never hit a superglide from that. I would like to make the switch, but can't figure out the problem
If the thumb button + spacebar combo works for you, I would recommend sticking to it. People have reported that swapping keyboards and using different switches causes them to be unable to hit superglides - You could also try using scroll wheel!
@@wrthcrw yea the thumb button makes me hit around 4/10 which isn't the worst but not consistent enough. Plus, I use thumb button for slide jumps and ctrl for fights meaning I would need to add a third keybind. I actually switched to a different keyboard a couple months ago so it might be that. I'll try my other keyboard and see if I have any luck with that. If not, I'll just grind out the thumb button combo. Thanks!
okay update: it was 100% the keyboard lol. went back to my old keyboard with tactile switches and I hit 8/10 with spacebar + C right away. My main keyboard has linears so the problem is either the switches or the keyboard model itself. Guess I'll make a cfg to add an extra keybind. Again, thanks for info about other people's solutions lol
lol? no i am not? why would i make an entire video explaining how to superglide when im just using cfgs. my fps counter is on all the time for that exact reason. i would hide it if i was using cfgs

since i got a new keyboard i cant superglide anymore why is that?
