last tip is clearly my biggest problem, I actually put so much pressure on myself that I literally quit FPS for like 4 months and it's still going, I feel like mental is the biggest hold back
I’ve had that type of problem for awhile and my hands would get cold when playing beceause of stress.what i did is i got kovaks and played that to get more confident and i tried meditating or just doing breathing techniques before i play. Music also helps
@@vice4564 I don't have any physical thing because of that pressure I put myself it is just mental, Kovaak won't help with that, I did tried meditation but kinda hard in a loud place
this is my biggest problem as well.. i can practice every day and still feel like not improving.. im so close to quitting now but i always try to tell myself that it takes time and also that id need a better pc and a little better monitor than 60hz.. idk, i hope that all my practice isnt for nothing..
Really good advice, been playing for a year and a half and I know I've gotten better, but some days it feels like I haven't gone anywhere lol. I always look up videos to improve my game play and try to take that into account while playing. Defiantly taking a lot of what you explained into my next training sessions and matches. Again, really good video!👍
discovered the first tip myself yesterday, wish I'd watched this before. But it helped me go literally in one day from 30% to 55% on close strafes tracking
As a controller player all my life I even found a few ways to apply these tips to my gameplay. You’re the goat!!! I struggle with snipers sometimes because I focus on my cross hair too much like you had said
This advice is fantastic. I still struggle with flicking instead of tracking on guns like the Mastiff and Peacekeeper because I've always seen those as guns that you're "supposed" to flick with. I'll probably get better results if I just slow down and follow my opponent.
I don't even play Apex but just clicked on the video because the guy shares a name with a UA-camr called Hollow / Hollowpoint who does kinda variety content now but used to do a lot of CoD or Fortnite I think. Seems like pretty good info but I personally play low/medium sens on other games and find kovaaks useful for games with 360 degree aiming
I used to play on 5.0 1600 dpi because my mouse pad was so small that I couldn’t use a low sens. Now with a new mouse pad, I moved down to 3.0 and my aim is 10x better, but i can’t move my sens any lower, because I’m running out of desk room
if you have big mousepad what u want to do is have sens that will make ur one swipe across whole pad do a 360 in game.. ur sens is very high idk how u manage to hit people
I just switched to mnk and flicking instead of tracking seems so natural for some reason. Definitely have to work on that. I think the hardest part of switching is moving around with a keyboard it's so unintuitive while aiming with a mouse seems more natural.
soar, love the channel and this video specifically, amazing aim! do you thing holding my mouse too tight, not relaxed as a wrist aimer is a bad habit? like my ideal sens is 3@800dpi for comfortable movement, i match this across all games, it's just what im used to, but i know that i cant be that precise on it and i am aware i hold my mouse tight, it doesn't feel "sticky". I play great, but I think you pros don't do this habit and I would agree with you I'm probably above the limit, I feel like it's physically impossible to control my mouse without gripping it tight (actual tight grip like cramping my hand to hold the mouse), I can move easily, but aiming just doesn't feel precise, I have to cramp hand I mean I answered this question myself basically, but would love to hear your input!
One thing I want to say about the tracking with single fire weapons, yes it is good to get better aim with it but what I do it I shoot and then flick away so I can move around quicker
I find it harder to focus on the target rather than the crosshair mostly because It makes my reaction time slower, but this might just be me, although I could fix this by turning off my crosshair in my aim trainer
I would argue it makes it faster. When your crosshair goes off the target, you have to notice that and re-adjust, but by that time the target may be strafing in a different direction already, so you adjust again and you're definitely faster by just trying to lock onto it. Do the no-crosshair thing, it will make you realize how well it works (especially after when turn it back on and break high scores)
Hollow i have te stupid question ever, in your custom res could you compite in any official tournament with 1728x1080 even if in the menu is not available by default? Thx
Let me know Your opinion on this comment hollow, So i was playing on 2.6 sensitivity 800 DPI and i had G502 a heavy mouse which felt very Slow sens i used it for a while And then i decided to go for 6 sensitivity And 800 Dpi which was creazy fast and i got used to it it was pretty good but I cant tell if it was better than the 2.6 and the reason i changed that So i can make %100 Control on my mouse which was pretty successful and i went back to 3 then i changed it back to 2 and it was Really great its a very good Experiance, the only reason i changed it back it made me more consisitent of shooting on close range now im a beamer on apex lol just saying Hope it helps someone
I really love this video, you really went deep and technical with the analysis and some stuff is relatable, thank you!

Man is an insanely good teacher.
great video, i would include short clips of hollows aim in the beginning so people that don't know him get a quick overview of what he is capable of
All they gotta do is go to his Twitter. His pinned clip is nasty af

Fantastic tips. I need to get better at watching the target and taking my time. I watch too many good players and try to be like them from day 1 lol.
This was a great vid. I really like how hollow explains things

You must be new because that is a fuckin high sens. I switch my sens often within this range 0,6 / 1600 dpi - 0,9 / 1600 dpi
