    I don't know why I didn't get recommended. I just got a silver in Voltaic after 300 hours. I realized I kept doing the same training and wasn't helping. Dynamic clicking had me beat especially Pasu but I just got 53. I think I am going to focus one task at a time for now. Also, Riddbtw's videos helped a lot

    Benchmark came out for Kovaak, just in the last week hit my first 50 and 60 bomb in CoD. Overall I'm considered Silver 1 in Kovaaks Benchmark. What I realized is that I subconsciously move my hand hand to more palm, than when I realize it I go back to finger tips, and start doing better again. Faster mouse movements, and better tracking. Best feeling while gaming is tracking an enemy and not missing a shot.

    Actually as newcomer to Apex and FPS games in general I found more benefits in grinding Kovaaks than playing Apex because my aim was so horrid that the game was absolutely unplayable and I would get rolled every single gun fight. It doesn't matter if your positioning is godlike if you can't hit the shots that matter. So in my humble noobish opinion I think it makes perfect sense to grind Kovaaks for 2 hours and only playing Apex for 30 minutes. I will go even further and say that playing more Apex than Kovaaks can be detrimental to aim progress. Why? Because in Apex you feel pressured, you play with and against other players. That pressure could make you regress or develop bad habits like tensing up or have jittery aim or go for shots at speeds you can't aim thus missing a lot and losing confidence and getting demotivated because you wrongfully perceive you've trained for nothing. Hell people tense up and score chase in Kovaaks, a controlled environment, imagine what happens in Apex specially if you play with friends. Just my thoughts, great video though.

    • @diemiesmuschel2623
      @diemiesmuschel2623 2 роки тому +1

      Generally, if you are new to FPS games/aiming it does make sense to grind more kovaaks, though if you have a foundation built already (Let's say you were goofing around in shooters for 2 years then start aimtraining) it's better to actually grind the game you want to get better at because you will train the specific aspects of said game rather than theoretically being able to perform action X/Y. Bad habits/confidence/motivation all go away over time with getting into it with the proper mental. I speak from experience, because I am a competitive player in Rainbow Six : Siege and through switching my mental and grinding more of the game rather than playing an hour of KovaaKs before scrims/important games, I have improved a lot, mechanically and mentally.
      As of right now I am trying to learn VALORANT as well, but with less success than I experienced in Siege so far. Now I could grind some kovaaks so I hit more shots naturally, but I could also just grind the game and get a feel for the different FOV, default spots, gamesense etc.
      You see how in theory both is doing something, but grinding the game itself improves more? Even the aim you got in KovaaKs has to be practiced in-game or it will not help you. For me it took aorund 2 weeks to see improvement in-game after seeing it in KovaaKs.
      Well, that's my take on it, feel free to agree/disagree, it is just my experience and knowledge of aimtraining for around a year and a half and researching as much as I can.
      Hope it helped either way, you have good luck grinding!

      It makes sense to put more time into your weaknesses. There's many paths to improvement and it may make sense for you to dedicate more time to aim training for now and then switch your focus later when that is no longer your biggest weakness. You are your best coach since you intuitively know what's holding you back. I'd highly recommend doing a shit load of 1v1s in the firing range also

    one thing i would say with the active recall, another point that could be made is with some tracking scenarios, regenerative health is super helpful for even faster feedback on like target switching lets say. that way if you aren't performing well you will see the health go up.
    just thought i should mention it as i feel like these scenarios helped me improve from plat to diamond in less than a week on all of my tracking scenarios after being stuck in plat voltaic for months
    also it was the quickest in game difference i felt, complete game changer imo

    U ever had problems with carpal tunnel or any wrist injury when doing kovaaks? When ever i bump up my sens to more of a wrist side my whole arm starts tingling and it gets numb and shaky.

    • @SilkyCrisp
      @SilkyCrisp  2 роки тому +1

      Yeah I have, I thought about stopping aim training quite often because of hand/wrist pain. Try changing your grip, I actually found that my 1-3-1 grip was better for keeping my hand relaxed but then started feeling carpal symptoms in my wrist, so I switched to claw and now I alternate between those. Definitely don't hurt yourself, always stop if something hurts, even if for a few minutes.

      @@whowho.1853 it's cool dude. as you change your sens more frequently your brain adapts quicker as well. I can switch sens after each scenario during aim training and get roughly the same score now, but it takes time to build that adaptability as well. Man i need to follow this because I need to break a really bad habbit in cs of shooting before i aim. Even if you are a high rank in benchmarks like Voltaic (I am almost diamond complete but i didn’t apply for it on the server) you can still be absolutely trash without a good understanding of overall mechanics and positioning.

  • @kes9127
    @kes9127 2 роки тому +4

    Great informative video. Will definitely have to rewatch it. Mastery by Robert Greene is also a good book about learning but it's not as scientific as Make It Stick.
    Mind giving me your opinion on something? I'm currently Voltaic Jade rank and trying to decide if it's worth the grind to get to Master voltaic rank. My main game is apex and I got Masters last season, so I know my aim isn't holding me back but at the same time I love training kovaaks.
    Do you think it's better to grind and do playlists in order to rank up on Voltaic benchmarks? Or should I focus on specific things I'm struggling with in Apex (ex. Midrange strafe tracking, anti-mirroring etc...)? Thanks!

    • @SilkyCrisp
      @SilkyCrisp  2 роки тому +2

      That's a great book also, the graph with the plateaus followed by jumps really put things into perspective and kept me motivated during aim training plateaus.
      I think it's completely up to you what goal you want to achieve and how much time you want to spend aim training vs playing Apex. I've stopped playing benchmarks entirely and only focus on movement tracking/clicking scenarios to warm up for apex because I want to succeed more in apex than the benchmarks now. But in the future I may want to hit GM complete so I'll naturally shift my focus and put more time into aim training.
