Killer kick ass rock and roll. God I miss great rock bands. Not even the most popular ones but bands like this who could make a kick ass song but not a well known band by the masses
@@omar10213245I’m thinking like Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains. Those are my personal favorites. This 7m3 album was up there with my favorites back in those days as well.
Yet more proof that I was born at least a decade to late. I missed the high point of a lot of great bands, a lot of great artists, some of which I'll never be able to experience live.
It's amazing how important the drums are in this song. You hear bar bands playing this with the drummer hitting crash cymbals every two seconds and it ruins the whole number. Then the worst part is when I play it right, I'm expected to go out and play it.. Yeah nah.
good stuff. yeah I didn't think this song was that early in the 90's. That puts them as being one of the ground breaking bands. No offense but that guy was way better than Cobain. I need to figure out how the whole 90's rock thing happened. It was like 100's of bands were hiding away in their garages writing and practicing, just waiting for the 80's to end and then BOOM! All of them popped up at once with bad ass music. There was no slow transition and it was like they all had been playing that style forever. It's just crazy to me!
+Chad Whitaker Hey..these guys were a local central fla band. Grunge hit with soundgarden(cornell), temple of the dog (which was a trubute to the mother love bone singer who loved his needle more than life) that had cornell, vedder, ament and the other guys around '91. Trust me on that...BTW, This isnt even the original version of the 7M3 song. i have their first cd (remember those) that is under a diff label. same songs, slightly different sound(better i think) purchased in central fl @ 95. If these guys hit 3 yrs earlier, they would of been much bigger. No offense to anyone but I think this video has the wrong date. I lived in Cen Fl in the mid 90's when they where just starting and getting local airplay., saw them live, very good show, what i can remember!
+truck guy fiftynine You are 100% correct, the version of "Cumbersome" from the album "Churn" had a longer extended bridge, with different lyrics - It was like this: "There is a balance, between 2 worlds, one with an arrow and a cross." "You must decide for yourself, between what is won and what is lost." "Regardless of the balance, she's in your head, dreams have become one." "Regardless of the balance, life has become, Cumbersome." This video is definitely from around 1995-1996 I believe...for sure not 1993, it would have had the extended bridge lyrics. I am actually happy someone else actually remembered the earlier version of this song too.
+truck guy fiftynine Also, come to think of it...the earlier version also had a guitar solo. I remember they used to play that version on college radio in the early 90's...I actually liked that version more too.
@@kek1807 true! I was there! 1995! Orlando was a little known grunge hotbed at the time. WJRR DJ started playing them and they took off. I love my city.
I've been looking for a slightly different version of Cumbersome. After the line, " there is a balance between two world's, one with an arrow when to cross", he says, " you must decide between what is won and what is lost". I heard it, I like it, I can't find it!!! Ugh!
There’s a reason this song is covered by most bar bands to this day. Great band.
No cell phones just listening to the music! God I miss the 90’s!
The good ole days when you actually sound like your studio version when you're live! No autotune needed! :)
Didn’t even exist for another 4 years. Should have never existed. Singing is a natural art. My opinion is that art shouldn’t be tampered with.

This song resonates so strong today. With the division in the US these days, i too feel cumbersome.

Omg, how long has this song been around? This band sounds amazing live. I wish I was there experiencing it :)
Middle 90's

Late to the game but some people have left comments that was the early version of this song.
Wow..what a song...

Extremely Bad-ass!

Sounds like the drummer is hitting a bongo drum. Otherwise, awesome.
