Since when is sales an indication of quality? Chevrolet sold between 187,000 and 431,000 Cavaliers every year in America from 1985 to 2004 and the car was an unsophisticated piece of junk. The single Achy Breaky Heart sold a million copies, does that make it a better song than the songs on Happy Pills? Do yourself a favour and go and listen to Candlebox's later albums. They have continued to make great music and sales have nothing to do with it.

I'm a full blown heavy metal fan, but this is one of the most powerful performances I've ever seen. And makes me proud to hail from Seattle, like they did. True musicianship.
This song was about Andy wood the singer of mother love bone who died of a heroin overdose shortly before their first album dropped. The surviving members picked up a decent singer and went on to form pearl jam. Andy wood was one of the best rock singers of all time and a true Rock star..🌟
Rarely does an artist sound better live than they do in the studio. THIS would be one of those rare moments. Honestly did not realize his vocal range until I saw this performance. Glad I was able to grow up with this stuff.
The reason the vocal sounds better live than in the studio? is because he's almost a semitone under for most of the album. Hate to say that, as it's one of my favourite records. but i just put it into presonus studio one, extracted the vocal, boosted the pitch by around +17 cents, then put it back in. PERFECT. Can't believe the producer and record company allowed "YOU" especially, it to be released with the vocal almost a whole semitone flat in pitch. Great album, and one of my favourites, though.

@seakermac5800 Hell yeah!! I love those too. The bass, guitar, drum and vocal sound on Mothers Dream should have been the primary aspect when producing that whole album. This guy is so incredible! He is not what I imagined in my head. I’m an eighties child and never watched them live but loved them. Wow 😮 the lead singer is very passionate about the song!
Awesome! I saw them in NW Arkansas a couple of months back and they rocked it! Kevin has some serious pipes and I just love their sound. He is FAR better today than in the early days. I saw them in 1998 at a little bar in buckhead (Atlanta Georgia). Same night Chicago (Jordan) completed the 3 Pete. Small venue - like 100. I was in front. T.v. Behind them (small bar). They stopped the set to watch the end of the game, then rocked on for another 3 hours. One of the best nights of my life! Had no idea they were going to be there. I was, and still am a huge fan!
God back then we took it god granted. Little did anyone know the bands rolling out from the 80s and 90s were absolutely legendary as well as a great time to be alive.
Saw them live in a Boston back in the early 90s at the Orpheum. Amazing show. I'll never forget it. I also use to listen to this CD with headphones before I went to bed a nite. Changes is my favorite song of theirs, the whole album is amazing.

Well, Candlebox are still together but Kevin Martin (lead singer) also has another band right now, called LE PROJET, they are AMAZING, look it up!
Holy mother of God I never saw this back in the day. Few guys could/can sing with that power, rasp, range, and control! Very underrated band and singer to everyone except their fans.
I was, and still am a huge fan!
i was there yes! it was a tiny venue. how freakin cool to see your post
Just saw them this year at my towns local radio station concert and by far still kicking ass
Man great energy in this live performance! Great song, I miss the 90’s. You didn’t realize what you had till it was gone….
When it's rock and this loud, you either you have it or you don't.
This singer clearly has it!!
Absolutely brilliant performance!
He has such a dam unique awesome voice!! A band that didn't get noticed 😭
I miss the 90's. Nobody plays guitar anymore. Nobody plays an instrument period. It's all beats in a sound system.
Don't forget the Autotune!!!
Yep. It really is that simple. No guitar in music anymore (at least radio music).
THE BLACK KEYS BEG TO DIFFER!
So not true. And you're the reason it isnt mainstream.
Hmmmm not true, you have thrice, avenged sevenfold, tantric, creed, Corey Taylor and stone sour, nonpoint, the menzingers and rev theory
Still the best version on youtube. Really says something when the live version is better than the recorded one. This guy's voice gives me chills.
This is an incredible live performance. It sounds just as good as the recorded version...especially the guitar.
brings back such memories, few really know what these guys went through, if you think about it, not really trying, a lot of these young beautifully talented people, DIDNT LIVE THROUGH IT, Andy Wood, Shannon Hoon, lane Staley, and many more, these guys are true AMERICAN heroes in my mind!
RIP Andy" & Fuck yeah! The 90s
was such a turning point for music
W/ the grunge movement , awesome musicians came outta that era, some of the best of all time...& unfortunately lost some great ones along the way, I'm blessed to have experienced it
I struggled w/ addiction ..overdosed & in a coma for 2 wks
I was one of the blessed ones...
Angie Rucker im 48 i know👊
Me too bro. 6 od's and 9 trips to rehab. Now sober for 13 years. I struggle every day still
Andy?
Glad y’all are still here with us.❤❤
One of the best voices of the 90’s, wish they would have put out more material. This entire album was killer.
Just awesomeness, not many can actually sing and sound that freakin AMAZIN' LIVE!!!
Another Seattle band. Just an era where the artists we're on fire here.
And I'm excited a one night only all original member show is planned for anniversary.
