Hello Charlene 👋 Simple music can make you sing, a simple hug can make you feel, better, simple things can make you happy, I hope my simple hello will put a smile on your face..
I had the distinct privilege to tour with Joe and play keys in his band. Without a doubt one of the greatest country voices I've ever heard. Spot on every night. Many of these so-called country artists today could stand to learn a few things about singing from guys like Joe!
Joe Diffie's music basically was the soundtrack to my life all through the 90's and a piece of me passed away with him today. God Bless him and hold him close, heaven just booked one heck of a man. Karaoke tonight in your memory Mr. Diffie, R.I.P.
Roy Orbison yes, but Sweet Man NEVER forget George Jones, Keith Whitely, Merle Haggard and Gene Watson. ALL sang with that haunting Beautiful storytelling Soulful PURE Gold country voice!!! Brings me to tears!! A True Legend!! 🌎🙏😍🌹💯

Every element of a great song, including a touching story and the ultimate climatic vocal moment. Diffy never got the credit for being one of the smoothest most talented country stars to ever sing a country song.

Hello Tammy 👋 Simple music can make you sing, a simple hug can make you feel, better, simple things can make you happy, I hope my simple hello will put a smile on your face..
Another one of my all time favorites from Joe, and a great example of what made him one of the best of the early 90's Neo-Traditionalists, imo. Love how this one showed just how wide his vocal range was. Never dreamed that we would be saying goodbye to this incredibly talented man this early. :(
When I watch and hear him sing brings tears to my eyes! Just knowing that he’s not here with us is so sad! Just met him last summer at the Keith Whitley 30th anniversary show. I feel fortunate to have met him. RIP JOE
I am from the Overtown neighboor, in Miami Fl, and i used to play 90's country all the time. My neighbors hated it, but I didn't care. Joe was one of my favs country artist. The one song Joe made i reaaly like was called "HOME". RIP JOE DIFFIE, I really love your singing and the songs you made. (Peace man).
Your music will live forever! You left us very unexpectedly. My heart aches for you bud. Sing loud in Heaven so we can here it here. RIP Joe. So many people died of the covid19 I hope and pray for cures and peace.
Hello Angie 👋 Simple music can make you sing, a simple hug can make you feel, better, simple things can make you happy, I hope my simple hello will put a smile on your face..
That voice is perfect. He's been one of my very favorite singers ever since Home was huge at end of 1990. That was a distinctive period of country music. Great stuff.
The 90s is the decade of the best country music. We were spoiled rotten for a good 10-15 years. Even some legends like the Hag and the possum were still making great music. There is no such thing as country music radio stations anymore. So I will stick to you tube and live in the late 80s and 90s the rest of my days.
Excellent voice Superb Singer I love his voice and songs a true country legend up there with the best of them I feel these songs down in my soul may Joe rest in peace in the presence of Our LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST YESHUA IN LORD JESUS CHRIST YESHUA NAME AMEN.
I can't believe you are gone Joe... I have performed this song hundreds of times in my life shows paying tribute to you and many of the other great traditional real country artists dot-dot-dot just last week I sent a message to you on Twitter telling you I would love to open for you and now you are gone and that will never happen the world has suffered a great loss you were the real deal brother RIP
love your music so much JOe, we are all going to miss you and your bright smile. Thank you for your music throughout the years and helping deal with certain feelings... or just letting us dance. You are now eternal and will never be forgotten
This is real country I've been a real country fan all my life but my dad was real country and I grew up listening to my dad's music we traveled a lot. I was a DJ while I work my way through the police academy so I can stand some power rock music but that's about all power Rock😅 there is a close relationship between country and power Rock they both tell a story story and they're both a form of the blues
It's nice to hear someone with similar views!! No one ever gives credit to the late 80's to early 90's era. Country had its greatest sound during this period, as I argued once in a college paper! It had just figured out how to refine & get that perfect sound --not too pop but traditional sounds remained dominant! It died when Garth & Shania's sound started forcing Country to change it's sound.
@Greg Normal, Our band used to do "A Little Less Talk, and a Lot More Action," because it was a great song for bars and clubs. As far as a favorite, he had so many great ones, including, "If the Devil Danced in Empty Pockets" taht I find it hard to say which would be my favorite.
never really cared for him, till he passed and i heard this, from a f b friend who also passed right after i heard him sing this, its exemplifies the power of a song
Joe Diffie had the perfect voice for hard core country. I don't know who chose his songs, but IMO he wasted a lot of time singing silly songs - John Deere Green, Pickup Man, etc.
He was one of the best country music singers there was if he would have stayed away from my race car driver Davey's wife he would have been the one of the best ❤
Can't get any more country than , IF YOU WANT ME TO listen to that sound it is awesome. So Help Me Girl was my favorite song but I love all ballads . The 90,s brought some wonderful music Joe we won;t forget you.
