His greatest song that he performed I think we have all lived this before sometimes no light at the end of the tunnel this man was a powerfully great singer god bless you joe diffie.
Yeah this song here and his song called home that's his best to songs that's a big big loss for country music that he's gone I can't believe he's gone he was my favorite singer back in the '70s my wife and I was going through a divorce back in 77 or 78 I think that's when this song here came out and we used to hear that all the time would be going places and we used to hear that song he's singing now and she would almost tear up in tears cuz we was getting ready to go start going through a divorce
I got to see him at Isle of Capri Casino in Lula Mississippi, I've heard all the greats in my lifetime but Joe had the best show / Band I've ever heard . Tight as rain and not loud . Loud enough to hear and OMG so good. Memories of one of the greatest talents that died way too early . God truly does have the next in Heaven .
Over 5 months have passed and it is if a close family member has passed away, Man Joe Diffie was the Best and I'm so angry I didn't seek out more of his shows, so many of songs and even his personal life ran parallel with mine, I hope some day I can meet with a family member or close friend and learn more about this talented and personable artist,, I'm wear in out his bluegrass CD...... Love ya JOE.....
Joe was one of the most underrated country singers ever! He had a voice that no other country singer had! I saw him perform in Las Vegas once and i literally had chills the entire concert!
I CANNOT believe Joe is GONE 😔 and from this Damn COVID-19 Coronavirus, Dear God how Sad. Thank You for your Beautiful voice and your Music that will Live on. Rest in Peace, Joe Diffie you will be sorely Missed 🌹
I saw Joe when Pick up Man was out at the Capital Music Hall in Wheeling West Virginia I was able to get the drummers autograph and picture taken after the show he came out in the front lobby. Years later seen him again at the West Virginia Interstate Fair in Mineral Wells Wv. I play the drums myself been playing for 33 years just play on the weekends not for a living. You hear the Steel Guitar all the way thru this song to me that and the Fiddle makes country music for what it should be that sound the sound of your heart feeling what your going thru. Another favorite song I love from Joe is When Ships Don't Come In. To me the best line in that song is WE BITCH ABOUT A DOLLAR WHEN OTHERS DON'T HAVE A DIME!! Joe Diffie will never be forgotten from me and all the True Country Music Lovers from this great time in Country Music. RIP Joe and God Bless his Family
Thank you for music like this! I can't tell you how refreshing it is to listen to REAL country Music again!! This is the way Country is supposed to be!
Ive been binge listening to Diffie since he passed away.Cant get enough of him.Hadnt listened to him in years.Forgot just how talented he really was.Id go as far as saying he was actually very underrated in prime.Suberb talent!RIP Mr.Diffie.
Welcome to the club. My wife & I got engaged the same time Joe died. He Aaron Tippin and Sammy Kershaw did a free concert at a car lot here in SW Florida where I live. I didn’t win $10,000 but seeing those guys for free was awesome.
You know I really never followed Joe diffie I heard a few of the songs but now that I've listened to the song and a couple others he was a very very good singer and musician I mean top-notch I mean really he was awesome and I seen him in concert with Keith Whitley's ex-wife Lori whatever name is
So underrated. He once said in an interview he wished he hadn't chose so many light harted fun songs. I love those songs but I get it. The greatest country vocalists I've ever heard.
Yeah, it's kinda sad that he's more remembered today for his novelty songs than his ballads. I mean, some of those songs are still fun to listen to, but it was his more serious songs like this that really showed off his vocal skills and were some of his best, imo.
I just wish this was a horrible nightmare, rest easy Joe Diffie and thanks for the wonderful music, on a personal note I use to play this song over and over absolutely love it!
I'm so sorry that he's gone! His voice was so smooth and rich. Joe you will be missed but you are singing with the angels now and I will see you there! :)
I had the great pleasure of meeting Joe in the early 90's and being backstage for one of his concerts here in town and it remains one of the greatest memories of my life. He was so cordial and friendly and we enjoyed some great laughs together during that brief time. I'm still stunned he's gone.
I'm glad you met him. Joe was one of my bandmates from church in Oklahoma. His first Christian band was called Higher Purpose. They made an album. I have a box of the LP's to this day.
He would of diffently been on the starting five of an allstar country team band, including Kieth, Alen,George and Vern. So tragic we only have 2 remaining.
What a voice. I always liked his sound reminded me alot of Vern Gosdin. They just don't make real country like this anymore. This pop crap they have nowadays makes me want to vomit. You will be missed Joe
Yes indeed a Legend, I met him a couple times back in the mid 90's when my Mother had a Music Publishing Co, I learned how to sing in " vocal dynamics " from him, that's what he called it
I am go grateful that I was able to see Joe in concert 3 times!! I live in a small mid-western town (Sawyer, MI) at least 2 hrs away from any large concert venues. In my opinion Joe was the "George Jones" of my generation. I'm 51 and grew up on Marty Robbins, Conway, Merle, Eddy, Gene Watson to name a few...thanks to my Mom's love of country music. Over the past 20 yrs, I have only heard a few voices that have the range and emotion that Joe has, in my opinion. Wade Hayes, Trace A., Joe Nichols, Josh Turner and most recently Jamey Johnson!! That's not to say that there are not good artists of today, but there are only a few who's voice will be remembered 50 yrs from now, like the generation before. I always say with a "voice" like that, they could sing me the phone book and still give me goosebumps.
my heart is so lost with the loss of this amazing man , the music ,the songs are something we all should love and sing ,, i'm bob in australia ,cant realy come to tearmes with what happened , we are all trying to escape this shit
I love watching videos like this because it truly represents a time in which Country Music was iconic. It also reminds of just how far we have fallen. I do want to sound like a "hater" because I am really a fan of music and have been since as far back as I can remember. It seems like smoke machines, tight jeans, ball caps, pop sounding tunes, drum tracks, and something called country rap have taken over the radio. There are very few real artists in country music as a whole right now. Thank God for folks like Jamie Johnson, Zach Brown, Brad Paisley, and Chris Stapleton. It is heart breaking to see classic country and singers become a thing of the past. Thank you so much for posting this video! Joe is one of the very best!
He was coming to play our local Fair this Summer and I wasn't going to miss it. Was always a fan but had never seen him in person. Looks like I waited to long..
I love Joe diffie so much. He's the ultimate country singer. His voice is bloody Amazing. I could listen to him all day. Wish I could see him live next time I go back to the great U.S.A.
Yeah that was so
Sad when Covid 19 Is the reason he passed , we loss a good country singer one of the best !!!♥️🙏♥️
They rate singer as the best.. i rate Joe as one of the absolute best and natural singers in countrymusic , rest in peace buddy, I miss you ! / Ben
One of the best all time no doubt!
What a great loss! Very underated singer. Back when country music was still country. R.I.P. Joe Diffe.
One of the most iconic voices we will ever hear in country music. Back when country was truly country
He is up there with George Jones.
He was the neotradional late 80s and early 90s. Unfortunately his voice was stilled by Covid 19.
RIP
That man is a very special person and always will be real county music at it's best beautiful rest easy gone but not forgotten R.I.P.

Listen very, very closely to musical genius. The type of pure God-given talent which only comes around once in a lifetime.
Amen to that Gospel According to Luke!! Gone but NEVER forgotten 💔 😢 ❤️ 😪 😔 🙏
That's the way its done.
Joe was one of the most underrated country singers ever! He had a voice that no other country singer had! I saw him perform in Las Vegas once and i literally had chills the entire concert!
Thanks for sharing. He was a personal friend and band member when we went to church together in Oklahoma.

Just can't believe joe is gone. So missed. What a talent. Heaven has one hell of a band.
One of the greatest voices in Country Music! So mad at myself for not paying more attention to this INCREDIBLE artist.

Joe Diffie is amazing. His vocals are the best.
I kind of doubt it was even his choice. The big money Nashville machine was likely telling him what to do, and it sold them a ton of records.
RIP Joe Diffy!! 🙏 PURE COUNTRY GOLD 💛 ❤️ HEARTBREAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL 😍
I am in shock to see him and can’t imagine he gone this is my favourite song Rip Joe sings with the angels 🇨🇦❤️
My favorite too- Jim
Another voice silenced once again you brought us so much pleasure in your music I pray for your family

One of the great country music songs of all time.
The music of our youth is "always iconic"! Each generation it changes so it can be "singularly iconic" for each "new" generation of followers!
One of the greats gone home

Will there ever be good songs and singers like this again? You can't find talent like this on the radio.
Luke Combs, Justin Moore
these singers these days can't sing from the Hart they don't have the talent
@countrygirl countrymusiclover me lol

Yeah, he was in the last generation of good country singers before the plastic hat cowboys got in.
I wonder what most of today's stars think when they read these posts about how people feel about today's new music?
