Great video. Oh and you were right about that F’n connector. Especially when the tab breaks off. 😩. If you are seeing this take your time on that folks and you’ll be fine. 👍
anyone happen to know the VIN split in 2007 model year for black or orange sensor? i ordered a black one from ECS but there was no VIN split message or indicator iirc.
Hey man,i checked mine thats on the car, seems to be stock sensor, and its black. My car is 2007 2.0 TFSI quattro, and im confused since u said 07 and up,orange one,and then 07 and down, black one,and having 07 model, gets me confused haha :D Should i just get the black one since stock one is black? Thanks!
P.S. Car just had new HPFP fitted, and since then car runs better, but after some time on acceleration,it just wont go past 4000 rpm, like a fuel cutout,so can it be the sensor? Dont think its the one on HPFP,since its brand new package, and cam follower is new aswell. No check engine lights either.
The weird thing is in my tfsi engine OEM was black and I replaced it thinking it would be that sensor and the new one was orange. Now I’m getting a code saying it’s not reading right
What do u mean by cut off . Limp mode right? No boost? Did u change this sensor ? Or did u find a solution? I’m having the same 2293 code and I’ve checked everything. Only thing I’ve noticed it’s that my car has a orange sensor and it’s an 06 I’m thinking this must be it .
Yes same code over and over . Bought new turbo wasn’t it replaced fuel injectors wasn’t it then the fuel filter still no plus did the fuel pump (trunk area) still no boost plus check engine light. Finally did the sensor haven’t had a problem since. I recommend go all Audi Oem parts all these other brands don’t last or get it wrong.
So it has 3 fuel pressure 3 fuel pressure sensor? The one on the hpfp on top The one that’s grey and comes out the side of the hpfp And the black or orange one in between the manifold ?
The one on top of the hpfp is a regulator, the grey one on the hpfp is the LOW pressure sensor and the black/orange one on the rail is the high pressure sensor.

I had a hard time finding the right socket. I finally found tub 🛀 faucet sockets that are very thin and it fit perfect. Easy repair.
What size
@@k.genuine222 they come only in a set. Not sure what size, was a while ago
Same here not enough space to fit through
Use a 1/16 deep socket and you’ll thank me later! It’s a perfect fit!
@@Peedi-different doesn't work
hard tiime getting the connector off so I put a little penetrating oil on it hopefully that helps
You need to tell people what size deep socket you are using. I took mine off with a 24 mm and was unable to put it back using it ,

what was you car doing before you fix that sensor?
Hi what was your issue with the car at first? My Audi A5 is idle rough and it’s not the injectors, I’m thinking it may be this sensor, thanks
No boost limp mode . Check spark plugs and coils
@@jesseracend6950yeah i have that rn and it’s not the ecm relay
Was your car running before doing this?!

I just searched up the sensor for a 08 and it was black do u think I should still install even tho it says it’s for my model?
How did you move the clip off the sensor? I am having hard time getting it off
I used a flat screwdriver to kinda pry the clip up, not to the point you break it off tho
@@iconicweeb8843 I broke my clip AM I FUCKED??

@@jesseracend6950 Ty for the reply mate,my car is 2007 and its stock sensor is black, thats what confused me. So i need the orange one then.
Did you had an fault code ?
Just did a Engine light check. Code P0089 pulled up, is this what causes my gas to leak somewhere and smells my car up with gas?
@josephmercado42 did this fix your issue?
I just replaced the feuel filter fuel pumps and the sensor and i just got another p2293 what might be the problem??
What is ended up being the problem? A fuse? Injectors?
Would i have to depressurise the fuel system first before replacing
Yes. i dint and the gas went everywhere or just do it slow and let the pressure out .
How do you depressurise it?

I have a p119 code and saying fuel pressure sensor malfunction would this sensor be it car run and drives just a slight misfire
What code was it throwing?
Jesse where’s the location of the fuel pressure regulator? If you don’t mind doing a vid on that.
On the HPFP its the circle part usually I would replace whole part(300-600$) or go to pick a part

On my B7 the damn clip will not release for nothing my boy!

High pressure fuel sensor black one is - 06J906051C. Orange sensor 2007 up -06J906051D
while WOT did your shit just cut off? I have p2293 and that's my only symptom.
No just limp mode no boost. You might have a lose wastegate on the turbo 👍

P089 but I have vcds so I can tell what really is the problem.
I got a code p0089 does this have anything to do with the sensor
have you fixed your problem?
HPFP ...cam follower...089. Lean code..no one knows what 089 is ...until cam follower breaks... then it is too late. Replace it ASAP it is quite easy

for the orange sensor 27mm. use deep thin wall.

somebody fxcking answer this
The one on top of the hpfp is a regulator, the grey one on the hpfp is the LOW pressure sensor and the black/orange one on the rail is the high pressure sensor.
What if you use the orange one for 07 and down
07 and up you use an oranbge one. 07 and down you use a black one. By your logic if you have an 07 either one will work. Doofus ...
