I have an ID5 tech pro coming tomorrow, but I don’t think the ID range is quite there for the masses, costs are certainly very high still. When EV’s hit sub 20k on average (which I don’t expect will happen any time soon) then we will see them being for the masses.

Sub 20k? Gas cars aren't sub 20k why would electric need to get there?

@@jmarxful because for the average person, this will make it an affordable means of transport (I’m in the uk).
Once batteries become cheaper and I believe they will, this should make car costs a lot easier.

The wheels are super ugly. But that's true will all EVx except Porsche. VW choice to put the front view camera right at the apex of the front bumper make zero sense. Even if you never run into anything, if someone backing up just tops your bumper, your camera is toast. What's makes less sense is they already had a good solution when it was incorporated into the logo. Why mess with what works? Let me guess, it was cheaper to do it this way?
