Just rewatched the H.E.A.L. video for the first time since the 90s. Definitely laughed out loud at the way Kenny bounces in at the end. The other thing that stood out was Jam Master Jay rapping. I'd completely forgotten about that.

Kenny, due to my schedule I’m unable to catch your show live but I have listened to at least your last 20 episodes and very familiar with the topics discussed. I am close to 60 from Massachusetts originally and fell in love with hip hop since day one which was 1979 with Rappers Delight. However I’m close to New Bedford Mass where some people was originally from the Bronx and I got access to not only the dopest music first but also the history. It kills me that there is so much controversy about the beginning of hip hop. It’s not ancient history and the folks who created it are still alive. The point that you actually keep bringing up which is 100% true is that Lord Jamar is missing the creators of Graffiti and Breaking in which there were Latinos that should get credit like Crazy Leggs and Raymond from the movie Wild Style. But finally I want to share with you the best story of the birth and foundation of Hip Hop I’ve seen or heard is on Netflix called, Hip Hop Evolution. It has 4 parts but the interviews are straight from the people who were there:
Kool Herc, Africa Bambatta, Grand Master Flash, Kurtis Blow, Grandmaster Theodore, Grandmaster DXT, DJ Red Alert, Melle Mel, Coke La Rock, Disco Wiz, Grandmaster Caz, Fab 5 Freddy, DJ Jazzy Jay, DJ Hollywood, Kool Moe D and Russell Simmons.
It’s a dope documentary that I don’t think anyone could dispute considering who was involved.
Peace, I love your shows, keep them coming and I shall begin reading your book this week!

🔥Definitely try to get T LA Rock up there with you! He was the original Def Jam king and I remember his single being on the same label as Dimples Dee, with the cocktail glass on it.( of course his style lended to LL’s.)

1:20:56 Sex & Violence was BDP’s Buhloone Mindstate. If you get that analogy do you agree? Btw I love both albums.

11:59 UA-cam confuses me with the rules. I watch reactions of some of my fav sometimes abstract songs, movies, or shows. Don’t remember how it started but somehow it became a thing. Anyway why do they get to react to those different forms of media and stuff like this gets copyright hits? My man from the Diggin in the Greats channel had the same problems with the copyright police. Why do reactors get to play media but channels like this can’t? Mad confusing if you ask me.
