can u rate according to simmed dps based on gear/runes?
The dps difference between Horde and Alliance is going to be insane in P3. Just how much better Shamans are than Paladins, combined with most Alliance groups struggling to find Ferals, and finally with the much better racials that Horde has (especially on super short fights) is going to make the gap even larger than last phase.
guild already swapped to horde, why play the losing faction in pvp AND pve?

Burn is a ele rune too brother getting more flame shocks out means more power surge procs means more instant lb and chains that's huge
My eye was twitching when he said tank rune lol. Also you can just use lower rank Flameshock to spread it for procs if it's eating up too much mana.

There is no point to even take Burn as ele. Only good vs trash mobs. Ele is forced to stay melee with mental dex, weaving melee attacks with flame shock casts.
I literally just want 5 stable slots. Even 4 would be fine.
burn is insaneeeee for ele sham. power surge can proc off the initial dmg of flame shock so getting a 5% roll chance x3 and then 5% per tick on 3 + targets is going to be insaneeeee we are feasting
PVP ele can play with riptide as well :)
I think it depends if rogue goes all the way down the assassination tree or not for those two runes. If we go all the way, our crits will add extra combo points through seal fate and with vigor - combat potency could be nuts
Small disclaimer in regards to the lock haste rune, Conflag consumes immolate and immolate is part of the rotation so there's friction consuming immolate then having to reapply it, not to mention conflag itself is a dps loss compared to the regular incinerate filler rotation. The trade-off for having to use conflag with the rune will be less impactful than everyone seems to think.
We sim the highest with Backdraft, well ahead of any of the alternatives. It will be annoying to have to Immo after, but it's whatever. Still will have 30% perma Spellcasting haste.
30% haste in classic is ridiculously valuable bro
Hurricane just got stealth buffed it seems. I went from 70dmg a tick to 100+
The only thing weird about the riptide + chain heal combo is that it feels a bit unrealistic to riptide someone and then chain heal them, unless it's the tank since you should keep the riptide buff on them. It could result in some pretty nutty cross-group heals, but it still feels kinda bad how much setup is required (cast time, riptide buff, 10 yard radius on the bounce), compared to a druid just pressing wild growth and calling it a day.
I think the most use we're gonna actually get out of the riptide + chain heal synergy is casting chain heal on the tank anytime we see the riptide HoT expiring, and hoping melee is missing enough health that it does some good healing.
@sarthe ward makes all those abilities castable on others also so pretty good for arcane mage healers

Leave to hunters to cry about being the number 1 dps with melee, number 1 solo quester, number 1 booster/dungeon solo. and STILL incredibly strong in ranged pvp. you can pump out 2k damage in a couple globals before these new runes.
lol melees are not top1 dps, check some good fresh logs. in pvp - they are fine, but not even close to enh shamans@@DazeKaze
Lock and load is an insane rune, and honestly one of the strongest runes this phase, people dont undestand the power of getting 2 extra Chimera shots per 15s. Just look at how much a bis chimera shot is doing on the first two bosses with homunculus, its like 1.5k with the serpent proc. Getting 3k extra damage every 15s is like 200 dps in gnomer gear. The other rune sucks and the scaling won't compete with melee, but Lock and Load is super powerful on non-movement fights assuming you hit your traps. Its not as flashy as a million combo points or 30% spellpower of attack power, but its in the same ballpark in power.

It’s actually astonishing how hysterically terrible the gore rune is for feral Druids, especially compared to every other damage rune every other class got. Also how completely out of touch do you have to be to continue buffing the duration of a shitty dot (rip) when there is nothing else worth spending combo points on because a 5CP ferocious bite does less damage than a single mangle?
as i main feral from wrath , i rerolled spec is trash in every situhation , PvP wise u just oom in 3shapeshifts

Just look at how little they did with an entire spec design like mage healer, they either don't have the developer numbers (very likely) or lack any creativity for designing these runes.
For Gore, it is mostly a Bear rune to spam swipe. That's it really. But amazing for bears.
Rapid Killing could proc if any mob tagged to your group, or you yourself tagged, dies. Could be it doesn't require you to get the last hit. If so then any boss with adds would see it rise pretty high up.
I feel like T.N.T should give any explosive shot or fire based trap damage instance a 10% chance to reset explosive shot cooldown, and make explosive shot tick one extra time for fire trap damage on the main target only, leaving the dot as well.

The only thing I’m not digging about the runes now is it feels like rarely there is overlap between specs. It just feels like buffs to specs or spec runes.
Priests got 2 mana regen runes and we still have mana issues when healing because tanks are not actually reducing damage they take. No one in their right mind is going to be casting smite.

@@Giliver Last boss? Mechatorque is a joke now a days, only boss that runs into issues is menagerie since my dps players want to cleave the bosses and tank infinite of the aoe fire from the dragon % based abbility*(that splashes to other bosses if you tank them together)
@@arjana3862 Depends on the group, if multiple raid members just take bombs in the face, your mana will naturally suffer more.
But in good/ideal scenarios, priest mana is TOTALLY fine.
When your group sucks, it is obviously not good... but that's logical.
@@Giliverthat’s only because fights are quick. As fights get longer mana will absolutely be an issue since most of our healing is from runes and runes scale % mana cost
If Wrecking Crew stacks with other enrages, it could be a lot better than we think
I would probably put Warrior dps runes as B. 10% attack power from Rampage is really good, but if you compare it to perma bloodlust, which you rated A+, I think it's a step back.
I find it wierd how they can design the Gore rune and still not do anything about lacerate and mangle being on the same rune slot. but it does give me hope for a change, just make lacerate a learned bear ability instead

Unfair Advantage for Rogues basically makes their dodge behave as parry, Rogues are (by far) going to be the best single target physical tank.
So looks like Horde Warriors, Shamans, and Mages(and maybe Warlocks with perma bloodlust) are gonna be the kings next phase. Alliance Warriors will be mid since they won't have wild strikes since every feral is gonna reroll/respec. Feral Druid and Range hunter are going to be eating poo at the bottom. Assuming it goes as planned, letting range hunter be F tier now for 2 full phases is a huge fail. Having melee hunter shine for a bit is cool and all, but most of the hunters I talk to enjoy the class for the ranged archer/beastmaster fantasy. As for Feral druids, how did they manage to make the Gore rune so bad? I'd love to be a fly on the wall when they were designing that rune and discussing what proc chance they were gonna give it; 5% is what they decided would work best?
Paladins got some nice healing runes, but I don't think it's enough. The trend continues of them just being discount shamans. Speaking of, why did they give the most OP class in the game right now(Shamans) the most OP rune?
Also, perma bloodlust for Warlocks is insane. That may actually be the best rune. I'd love for the person who designed that rune to have a sitdown balancing discussion with the person/people that designed the Gore rune.
feel like u missed the Lock and Load rune for hunter. It makes it so the next shot DOESN'T incur a CD or mana. that means you can trap, chimera shot (no cooldown) right into another chimera shot. or am i wrong?
Riptide should have an AoE splash affect to it more than just 1 extra person but instead have it be a reduced amount for the splash affect.
It would give them some on the go group healing allowing them to become viable healers for BM groups.
And your heals should never consume your hots.
kinda wish with lake of fire they made it apply on mobs every tick for twice the duration of time between ticks and then stack up in duration. Then you'd gain the effect on aoe and still have it after.

Hammer of Wrath rune for Paladins now also makes Hammer of Wrath instant cast, datamined.
So 20% execute phase where all you do is spam Hammer of Wrath, might be good ...might be trash.
demo lock pvp with instant corruption and spell pen and improved drain life and pandemic/felguard will be a nightmare to play against, unkillable demon king, i love it

Conflag every 10 sec is about 65 dps loss and the 30% haste is about 90 dps increase so a total of 30 dps increase.
Conflag build is 100-150 DPS higher than the non conflag build

I'm a bit of a noob on classic mechanics (much more of a retail player), but i think snapshotting only works with lifesteal effects in classic (i.e., SWP can't be snapshotted)? SWP is also like 10% of your damage in single target iirc? Also, doesn't divine aegis only proc on crits? I am not sure what crit chance they will have, but that doesn't seem nearly as strong as a 15% version of the effect that procs on all casts?
Paladin hammer rune is weapon dps not dmg, so if a weapon has 30dps the ability will do 120 damage it is not an s tier rune lol.

Backdraft AS + Crit Rune on Chest should make up for not using LoF.

Actually glad the feral dps rune is so bad, improved bark skin is so good as a support skill I think it should be a necessary role for all druids
I'm hyped as fuck for catlike relexes just for the flanking strike cd reduction. I think it'll be huge how much less (if ever) you'll need to press wing clip for procs and rs resets
you're overestimating the value of the cd reduction. According to logs i cast about 4-5 flanking strikes per minute which is an average cd of 12-15 seconds already. If anything it will just be bad luck protection but you will definitely still be wing clipping a lot

Hurricane dmg is not bad... The only reason its bad is because of its 1min cd and the high manacost which both gets fixed by the rune. Still wish we got something for ST tho

wonder if lavalash is dead in favour of Lava Burst with the spelldmg from mental dex
Not really as then you would also need to use Power Surge to make it proc, and its not worth it. Even with all the spelldmg it would not feel good

@@JBar-yy1cy I mean, I think they’re all misdirected anyway. They should be mad pre clearing is allowed, raid should start when all 10 players engage a mob in combat, and is invalidated if the first mob is killed without all players being in combat.

No you don’t , first you will have to farm uld to at least lvl 48. Then you will solo zf and Mara. You have to raid as melee but need on both melee and ranged gears for raid and farming purposes

Pretty harsh on the druid runes! I'm honestly kinda hyped for the druid runes, but then again I play the game for PvP and cat druid has been made of paper in phase 2
if the way of earth changes are true shaman dw tanking in a tough spot though. if the dmg isnt to insane from bosses shamanistic rage wf mh might still work, but if they force us into 1h and shield even if it ends up being good its going to be boring af to play. like 40% of our dmg will just come passively from overcharge and that feels bad. Not to mention i have serious concerns for threat on single target. I really hope they just do the rb nerf and leave woe alone. rb was 100% the problem getting up to 1.5k ap at 40 is absurd. I hate that they are forcing us to play boomer spec 1h shield. So even though shaman runes are op those nerfs gutted any semblance of us doing dmg as a tank. I think what alliance players don't really see is the varriance in shaman in raids. if you ever grouped with one rocking 1h and shield through the whole of gnomeregon you will understand which is like the avg shaman player rn it's ass. no threat no dmg/threat and basically the same mitigation as dw single target.

Im genuinely confused why they didnt design gore to simply reduce the current cd of TF by 1sec per mangle/shred u cast. the ability to get a gore proc with 3-5 seconds left on TF cd sounds like terrible design. with pshifting u could actually get TF down to a 18s cd

blizzard completely dumpstered shaman. hope everyone is looking forward to the upcoming tank shortage because i don't think its drastic to assume that like me, a lot of people out there are going to just drop it and just go dps.
first they nerfed shamanistic rage making tanking a struggle and now they anally did in both damage, threat and the ability to have fun by dual wield tanking.
hope the warriors and druids are ready to take over, because this is what you wanted by extension of asking for shaman nerfs.

We need defensives, not just focusing on buffing pets, screw them they are annoying.
Give us defensives, Hunter is a KITE class, I would accept less dmg but more survivability with DISENGAGE instead of making us a burst class like elemental shaman.
We are at a point when Warrior have charge in combat + intervene.
Rogue have shadowstep + the shadowstrike from stealth.
Mage blink is getting EVEN better, actually INSANE with the new wrist rune.
*Teleports back to where you last cast Blink from and resets the cooldown on Blink.*
- While Ranged hunters get rune on wrist that do 10% more dmg on traps -.-
So now explosive trap instead of doing 100 dmg will do 110 dmg, wow, what a rune.
If Mage blink is getting even better, why not make a wrist rune for hunters to have ATLEAST WOTLK VERSION of DISENGAGE, I feel like blizzard is trolling us with TNT.
Compare Rapid Killing with Deep Freeze, Mage get one of the best ability ever, while hunter gets a rune that was on TBC talent point tree that nobody was using points on it, completely useless.
Ya it’s in a pretty pathetic state right now. I’m not sure why they are so afraid of giving hunters a defensive or a movement ability when they were always meant to be the most mobile class. We needed wotlk disengage or deterrence.
Would so love to relish in a good MM spec but it’s just not happening. They really are like afraid of touching MM damage

Agreed 100%. I'll always love to play a hunter, but it just feels like they are afraid to get hate for giving hunters anything of value. I want abilities that feed into the agile back and forth gameplay focused more on utility and control than pure damage. And now we don't even have good damage, except for melee ofc but I'd rather play a rogue for that. Hopefully they scrap the TNT rune and maybe add other skill books or something.

They also have to change the Nameplate range up to 40m distance. What is that? They change everything except this...
They've ruined warrior tanks. I'm sure horde warrior tanks will be on with spirit. You just act like 10% less threat isn't a problem. Devastate is already gutted too.

At least feral gets the best possible helmet+weapon enchant exclusively. Might have to be selfish and go full shapeshift+omen of clarity, actually sims pretty good dmg even in pre BiS gear. So don't give up yet.
why would they even bother to try to make warriors want to use Rend in vanilla? it's annoying how god awful or incredibly OP runes are, they don't understand the meta of this game.
Make it deep wounds not rend fixed
