Asmon is actually very good at explaining mechanics of boss fights and what to do. Memes and ballbusting aside, when he talks about the game you can tell he loves it and loves talking about it. It’s a massive indictment on blizzard that Asmon doesn’t even care about the game anymore beyond clipping his streams into hardcore death compilation reactions. Hats off on that end though, I couldn’t watch this much WoW content without having the compulsion to play…

I tried Warmane and the players there seem to treat ICC like it’s just another RDF. So seeing this reaction took me by surprise as the community there see this as a walk in the park. Toxic community though sadly.
is this doable without addons? yes.. but not in the gear they currently have, did you see how fast the stuns went out on valkyrs? 3 different valkyrs and not a wasted stun, addon instantly marked the valkyrs and raiders targeted the one they were assigned to
@@SuperJake9000 Indeed, because they have literally been doing ICC since 2011 when it was fully implemented, I was doing it back then before the server merged with arena-wow and turned into warmane, we cleared 25hc every week no fail, they've been grinding since then, I can guarantee any of the active raiding guilds can just clear this raid on 25hc while watching a movie

Killing the Lich King the first time with my guild was one of the best experiences in wow, and it was the last time I enjoyed PvE. The conclusion to Arthas' story was awesome to witness having played Warcraft 3, and built up to it in WoW. I love melee SV hunter now, but explosive shot, black arrow.. the way ranged SV worked was so fun, and I'm sad it isn't at least more like that for MM now.
I was in a 25 man guild, we were going to kill the Lich King that raid night. My ex made me go to some awful show, they killed it, and never went back.
Important to note that back them esports was not really that big of a thing yet. Most guilds had a non meta group full of underperforming classes with the wrong professions. And yeah like he said computers and internet connexions are much better now. I'd say in 2010 computers were starting to be good but i remember when we were doing Molten Core one of our healer had to heal while facing the wall cause when he was putting his camera toward the raid he was lagging so much it was a slideshow.
Also there just weren't nearly as many people that raided back then compared to now. 90%+ of classic players are raiding and are geared, where back then not even 50% of the server would have raid gear and tons of guilds would still be a full raid tier behind everyone.
@@Tooamazin oh for sure. But it's still kind of how it is on retail. Difference is now you need only 20 people instead of 40 but even 20 is starting to be problematic if you are a casual guild you'll always carry 5-7 players easily. But in a 40 players back then easily half the raid was geared in blues and did not know how to play but you had no choice to carry them cause on many servers it was the only way to fill the group. I don't remember in classic back in 2004-2005 being in a raid group where there was not at least a couple of players who had a few blues items equipped and were running around like a chicken without a head.
Players were worse / for fun , People had worse computers and addons weren´t what they are now with weakauras playing your character for you. You get big Letter pop ups every timer in existance without having to look around the room and having situational awerness making the game considerably easier and more brain dead

Why this kill looked so much easier than the Paragon kill, even though these guys had a lot less gear, and didn't have the 5% buff: - Addons - 13 more years of experience understanding the fight intimately. Strats like valkyrs stun assignments and Soul Reaper cooldown rotations were perfected to a science. If you look at private server raid encounters between 2015-2022, you'll see raid strategies very similar to what we saw here (movement strategy for shadow traps, frost beacons on Sindy, etc) - Class Optimization was a lot better. Paragon brought classes like assassination rogues and feral DPS, which don't have as much cleave DPS potential (LK 25hc is *extremely* cleave heavy). - There were minor buffs in the form of things like Trap Launcher for marksmanship hunters, allowing them to push out a lot more Explosive Trap damage than would have been possible during original Wrath. - If I'm not mistaken, Progress only used 4 healers too, compared to Paragon's 5. Which means they had 1 extra DPS.
Before, you didn't have a test server to do raids on the PTR. They did the bosses there with their current gear, which greatly helped with optimizations.
34:24 Paragon's Lich King 25-man kill was impressive, but for me, their most impressive kill was in MoP... They killed 10man Heroic Garrosh using only 1 healer. The healing was God Tier.

@@EOHRyan that logic makes perfect sense when you realize that people on private servers have been doing ICC25HC and RS25HC, at least a couple times a week, since 2010 aka. for almost 15 years now lol... people on private servers over the years developed tactics that are 10x better than the world record tactics from the best guilds on retail. like, on the server i played on, a random group, not even a guild run, doing a 58min icc25hc run was considered nothing special, meanwhile on retail 1h20min was a world record clear time.. thats what he is talking about. its been almost 15 years now and things that seemed impossible back then, have been made possible AND MORE by people playing wotlk on private server YEARS and YEARS ago.
I remember when I killed LK on my hunter main back in retail ICC. I thought I was the coolest SoB for pulling that off back in the day. I would also use disengage offensively in pvp to chase people down back then. It took years before i consistently saw other hunters using it correctly.
In regards to the Sindragoa Fight: Welcome to a world where private servers exist. Due to servers like Warmane having it locked at 3.3.5, new strategies were pioneered with addons updated to include this. When I first started playing Warmane, I was confused as why we werent using the stairs either. But after having geared numerous characters in ICC BiS gear, I cant imagine doing it any other way. So many fights have been streamlined and learned. Some still using the same strategies from Retail when it first came out. Some with tweaks and some completely new. I cannot remember if on retail when clearing to Plagueworks if people were pulling groups of trash mobs to the group to clear faster. So basically, one guy goes and pulls a blood council trash mob to the group at a specific time so we are finishing clearing a Plagueworks trash group and then turn to blood council. Then you get the PvP aspect where people constantly PvP in BiS gear non stop and do arenas non stop. Granted, you can only get as good in PvP as the skill cap as a whole of the server. But it has allowed players to hone there skills without the need to grind to 80 and grind gear to actually be somewhat competitive in a PvP scene.

As a former hunter in WOTLK, I remember just how powerful survival was early on. I ended WOTLK as MM, but that wasn't until I had a good amount of armor penetration. Side note, I NEVER got DBW from Saurfang. When we killed Halion for the first time and the Sharpened Twilight Scale dropped, I was the only person who had not gotten DBW, and I actually stated in Ventrillo (discord) that if it went to ANYONE who already had DBW, I would G quit on the spot. They still deliberated for a full 3 minutes before begrudgingly looting it to me. Hell, DBW had MORE armor pen than this thing, and it was possible to get to armor pen cap without this AND DBW. DBW was the most ninja'd piece of loot I've ever seen. Never understood why people would do that, considering if they got reported, the loot was stripped and they got banned.
To add to the soulreaper comment: It does 50k dmg after 5 sec (you have about 53-54k HP) AND after that he gets a frenzy for 5 sec increasing LK attack speed to 0.9. He hits for 40k+
full buffed on bis gear paladin 85k on stamina build 78k on armor build. Feral druid 120k dk 76-83k deepening on build. However problem is that soul reaper proc 50k and then half sec after that auto attack do 20-25k so yeah you are dead if healers do not instant heal you or you rotate your cds. On paladin (as I did icc 25hc solo tanking LK) i rotate first deprot then pain suppression after that Hand of Salvation with glyph, 4th is difficult one because you rely on pala to give you hand of sacrifice and if you are lucky your defender wont proc. If mistake happened defender will save you and you have again cds for new rotation...
I still have a living memory placed in my head rent free, when we first killed LK 25hc. I was maining a hunter back in a day. The day we killed him, we had LK at just below 15-20% when I ran out of arrows. Everyone lived at that point, but you can imagine how that moment turned from intense to jokes all around as everyone laughed at me meleeing LK as a hunter. We hit the enrage timer, tanks and melees taunting him back and forth to have few more seconds to finish him and get him to 10% while everyone was histerically laughing how we're gonna kill him on a pull where I ran out of arrows. We were joking about that for weeks to come, until I actually swapped main from a hunter to my warlock that I raided with in our alt raid. I have mained warlock ever since that for expansions to come with hunter and shadow priests beings alts from that point on all until a point in the end of BFA where I stopped playing. Skipped Shadowlands, came back casually for Dragonflight, but it just wasn't the same for me and I didn't last long as I missed the old sweaty days of competing with other guilds. I've made a place in my heart for WoW when we had a group of people who took it serious as we progressed raid by raid, eventually finding out about rankings on wowprogress, climbing with each expansion from top300 to a top100. But once I got back to play again in 2022 and I wasn't able to have a perfect schedule to be there for raids at set times in a week, I just never enjoyed the game as I did back then, playing it with pugs and focusing on m+ without a proper guild with a schedule. The tryharding, min-maxing and living everyday in the game while being a part of 25+ same-minded people was what made it fun for me from 2005 all the way to early 2020. Lot of people I talk to tell me WoW is dead because it changed. In my opinion, we all have changed more than the game did.

I no longer have a personal investment in World of Warcraft, but when I reflect on the game, I can't help but feel a surge of frustration. It reminds me of the remarkable character Tirion Fordring, who played such a significant role during the game's peak. It's disheartening to think about how his character was seemingly discarded in the Legion expansion, merely to justify players wielding his legendary weapon, the Ashbringer. What stings even more is the lack of a cinematic to give him a proper farewell. Then there's Bolvar Fordragon, a character I held in high regard. He was a true powerhouse of a champion, and I was thrilled when I saw him return in the Shadowlands cinematic thinking Sylvanas is finally going down. However, it appears that Blizzard had different plans, which left many fans, including myself, disappointed. Im not sure whether Blizzard was influenced by the prevailing trends of "wokeness" at the time, but it felt like they were determined to showcase Sylvanas as an overwhelmingly formidable character, even to the extent of implying that she could take on both the Lich King and Saurfang.
Nah it was dumber than that, instead of gamers modern college grads work at Blizzard now its more than obvious that the story is written by some California frat boy/girl, instead of a nerd that is deeply invested in lore, games are just corporate stuff now instead of passion projects, suits behind those projects aren't even gamers...

There are people saying this boss is easier than a normal mode on retail, because they are too dumb to realise how much better at the game these guys are than them. These guys would make great world first raiders on retail, some of them probably already are.
I remember going in with the 10m core to this raid twice a week and just having the BEST time with my buddies. I was in HS at the time and I think back to those memories often. I still have the video the first time we downed LK.
Id like to see how these fights would go if addons didnt work in classic 😅. Its insane the coordination and skill they have and this is a perfect clear, but these boss fights would be so different if there was t a warning called out every x seconds and "beware" etc. A lot of random deaths would occur is my guess.
For the regular dad gamer, sure. They probably can't do much at all without addons. But for these guys? They could probably turn off their monitor and do the fight just as clean. They have been killing LK probably 100+ times on private servers in preparations for this. If you don't have addons calling stuff out, you have a raidleader or one specific guy designated to do callouts. It's just less chatter on coms with addons, and you remove the factor of human error almost completely, unless ofcourse the players fail to take correct action.
No guilds could kill Garr in MC until CT Raid came out, lol. I'm sure people would have eventually, but it went from zero kills to everyone killing him the day it came out. It was too hard to cross-heal groups without raid frames.
Ulduar 25 gear being buffed massively, especially valanyr, along with the fact you can get valanyr in 2 weeks with good luck, is the reason this boss went down in a speed run. You have a 258 valanyr on everyone, even enhancement shamans ffs. Legendaries are supposed to be legendary for a reason, and this video is why.
So I have played since about 2 months after classic released, I stopped for a little bit mid WoD, came back mid Legion stopped with bfa and then started recently again... I had raided since classic but wotlk was when I got into a very high end guild and we were first on our server for everything and man seeing that syndragosa fight brings back memories. He explains it really well it may not seem like a lot of hard mechanics but compared to a lot of the previous raid mechanics this one was just difficult for a lot of people. The regular heroic version isnt too bad but the real killer was the achievement for the Frost brood vanquisher. After we had heroic lk on a weekly kill getting that for our mains and alts was a huge pain and I know of 2 guilds that essentially disbanded because one was just having too many issues and people got frustrated and stopped and the other had to sub out several of their melee to have more ranged DPS for the achievement and they promised to do it again for those melee and they still were having issues the next time they tried so like 7 of their main raides quit lol. good times

So did they remove the HC restriction in Wrath Classic? Cause I can remember back in the day the leader had to have killed LK on normal difficulty to be able to switch it to HC.

Hypotenuse means, the longest side of a right-angled triangle compared to the length of the base and perpendicular. The hypotenuse side is opposite to the right angle, which is the biggest angle of all the three angles in a right triangle. Definitely my favorite moment in WoW back in the day. while these people do play very consistent and disciplined , i have to say my respect for those doing it in classic is minimized by the fact , that this is not a world first in general , because classic is SO much easier and we allready know everything. Nothing new, and the patch we play with differs massivly from back then. EVERYthing is so much easier. This here is just wannabes patting themselves on the back in 16-17 year old game, acting like they are pros in content my grandfather did back then..... Bro but it is a world first. Its world first classic but its world first. and trying to say stuff like "my grandpa did this" bro i would bet my cock and balls that not a single raid group couldve cleared ICC in ToGC gear back in the day. I mean its obvious they couldnt considering the first kill didnt happen till they had the 25% dam buff. I get that this shit has been solved, but its after people put thousands and thousands of hours into figuring it out. And these player put hundreds of hours in literally just practicing for this one moment, to do it with flawless execution. Thats the whole point of playing classic. I honestly feel like people with this kind of mindset that "this isnt the real world first" or "try it without addons" or any of the other bs are just angry they couldnt kill heroic lich king back in the day.
Its not that this was hard back in the day it was the technology that we used that made it more difficult computers had alot higher input lag with alot lower fps and the internet was hot garbage id be alot more impressed if they beat this on a mid range computer from 2009 2010 with equivalent internet connection
It technically isn't the hypotanus - because there is no triangle. The chatter is technically right about called it the radius - or at least it follows the radius line from the spawn point to the edge of the circle. If the arena wasn't a perfect circle the line would be the "normal", but for a circle the normal and the radius lines are the same

We had addons in 2005. In 2010 Blizzard had to literally step in because the addons were so powerful, they reduced addon functionality again in 2016. These days they can't do nearly as much as they could back then, WOTLK Classic runs on a modified Dragonflight client.
@@DeethAlAkir Honestly, without UI addons and damage meters I would have stopped playing in 2007. And unless they did a better job of boss design it would just suck. Retail actually does this part of boss design way better, as do many other games. The addons were almost a response to janky game design, so I'll pass.
On Sindragosa most people used the stairs, I'm the stairmaster, I mastered the stairs. But just by watching this, you can tell that's the superior strat because when she comes down from flying she doesn't come down on the fuckin stairs she comes down right there in the middle, so if you're already there you don't have to waste those precious seconds of the fight when you can be doing dps or healing someone.

We had a raid group that I was part of killed him in 10 man heroic after 6 members of the raid died and we kept going just to see how far we could get and the 4 of us killed him bringing him down from 42%. The dead members of the raid kept us on our toes and relayed what was coming up if we missed anything. When he went down we had a guild party that was off the chain. Some of us even met up in New Orleans for a party to celebrate.
I dont understand? Isnt this an old boss how is this world first? Ive heard of wrath of the lich king did theboss not come out back then? Sorry idk wow
people been giving confusing answers to your question, so technicaly you are right it is an old expansion to the game but blizzard has been re releasing old wow expansion for quite some time and wrath of the lichking is the latest one getting re released and this is the first kill for this
H LK 25 ,man was the one fight my guild could never get enough people competent enough to down. We had him on farm with two 10 man groups but that was both far easier and we couldn't recruit enough competent people. I think we managed to wipe at something like 14% (max buff and mostly H ICC 25 gear).
These 3 are haters. It's the last raid in the expansion. The 3 that commented will never complete it. The group did it clean and will get best in slot gear. It's dope
Wow what an execution, the fact that paragon finished only slightly ahead of this group with everyone alive(as opposed to the 1-2 deaths here) speaks volumes to the level of both teams
but... it was a world first. It was classic sure. but it was a world first for classic. And not calling it that discredits all the time these guys put into practicing this method, as well as all the time gearing the previous phase.
The reason the affliction loc does so much damage is because his empored seed also hits all of the valcyrs that are hovering above the boss and puts corruption on them. So you can tweak a bit, I also did this back in the days ^^. After 16y of WoW and then classic, then hating classic and leaving forever ... this is the ONLY Boss that would have made me come back, it's literally ONLY LK 25HC, non other But classic made me realize that I cannot have back the old times. I am trying to remember back what the top rated DPS was at the time. It's been so long, I don't know 60k-80k? I never had full 272 gear, we always had to roll after raid closed, was brutal showing up to raid at specific times 2x a week before reset. lol Was epic! WoW was at it's peek with WoTLK 100%! The lore was the there, the story! Miss those days! Lots of pizza bites were consumed. lol "Sindy" was soooo brutal, we spent a lot of time before taking her down and by the time we got to LK we were fine tuned and quickly adapted to gameplay. The Valkyries carrying team members off (dps burn) was straight brutal (I was a Rogue). lol Tanks were ALWAYS the premier players IMO!
3 best fight ever 3: Sunwell Kiljaeden, 2 black temple illidan, 1 Lich King. I was server first shadow priest for all 3. Then server, guild and game all went downhill after that.
Asmon is actually very good at explaining mechanics of boss fights and what to do. Memes and ballbusting aside, when he talks about the game you can tell he loves it and loves talking about it. It’s a massive indictment on blizzard that Asmon doesn’t even care about the game anymore beyond clipping his streams into hardcore death compilation reactions. is this doable without addons? yes.. but not in the gear they currently have, did you see how fast the stuns went out on valkyrs? 3 different valkyrs and not a wasted stun, addon instantly marked the valkyrs and raiders targeted the one they were assigned to
@@SuperJake9000 Indeed, because they have literally been doing ICC since 2011 when it was fully implemented, I was doing it back then before the server merged with arena-wow and turned into warmane, we cleared 25hc every week no fail, they've been grinding since then, I can guarantee any of the active raiding guilds can just clear this raid on 25hc while watching a movie

Why this kill looked so much easier than the Paragon kill, even though these guys had a lot less gear, and didn't have the 5% buff:
- Addons
- 13 more years of experience understanding the fight intimately. Strats like valkyrs stun assignments and Soul Reaper cooldown rotations were perfected to a science. If you look at private server raid encounters between 2015-2022, you'll see raid strategies very similar to what we saw here (movement strategy for shadow traps, frost beacons on Sindy, etc)
- Class Optimization was a lot better.
You could sum up this by saying the reason is: 13 years of sweaty hardcore min maxing, experience, optimization and knowledge.
Plus the buffed items from ulduar and every healer having a leg lol
So what you're saying is all it took was 13 years of practice to absolutely nail the shit out of it?
Before, you didn't have a test server to do raids on the PTR. They did the bosses there with their current gear, which greatly helped with optimizations.
They have feral in the video too.
34:24 Paragon's Lich King 25-man kill was impressive, but for me, their most impressive kill was in MoP...
They killed 10man Heroic Garrosh using only 1 healer. The healing was God Tier.
That was MoP.

In regards to the Sindragoa Fight:
Welcome to a world where private servers exist.

After we had heroic lk on a weekly kill getting that for our mains and alts was a huge pain and I know of 2 guilds that essentially disbanded because one was just having too many issues and people got frustrated and stopped and the other had to sub out several of their melee to have more ranged DPS for the achievement and they promised to do it again for those melee and they still were having issues the next time they tried so like 7 of their main raides quit lol. good times
Fun Fact: This run was sooo fast. They were even faster than private server guilds with the 30% buff! Its impressive as hell!

Minmaxing concepts such as Shadowmourne cancelaura, rendweaving and all the basics abotu ArP softcap/hardcap and crossover points, all the hit table stuff about gearing to crit-cap and switching away from crit above the cap etc etc.
All that was known in 2010. Of course 13 years of strategy refinement on boss kills, and people being professionally paid/sponsored to play the game has changed the recruitment game. It was harder to recruit good players back then, but most of this stuff was figured out or in the process of being figured out before Cata launched, and then people move on.

Fond memories of defeating Arthas in 2010. I was the guild and raid leader through WOTLK and had a wonderful time clearing all the raids (Ulduar server first a highlight!). Great times, but 14 years later with a family and demanding job, I've no time to revisit, as much as I want to.

Either way, he/she was a good hunter and the UI was amazingly clean. that whole group was a very great bunch of players, hats off to them.

Ive played in Warmane for about 10 years give or take and top guilds there in bis gear would clear it for about 90 min. As people said it is a walk in the park, however, still quite impressive with the togc gear they have and no RS trinkets/SM on every melee.
Yeah, when you have BiS gear and 30% buff, of course its a trivial encounter then.
@@knifeuu777 should be trivial too when you get bosses with 2/3 of the HP they have on warmane, without counting the dmg and crit ratings suspicously similar to a full BIS ICC+RS gear while only wielding TOC gear, suspicious to say the least. (there is logs btw) you can see the crit% is abnormaly high for the gear they have. Go with that gear on warmane and they wont pull same numbers, that's proven already by players that play both warmane and retail.
I was a "clicker" the majority of TBC and our guild cleared Sunwell eventually. Trust me I wasn't the only one clicking either...I only played one other game on the PC before WoW so blame Runescape, haha. However just before WOTLK dropped I switched to keybinds primarily for 2v2 arena and I felt like a god clearing WOTLK back in the day. The people who put those raids together deserve all the credit. The rest are just above average players of which there are many. But there aren't that many people able to lead with an iron fist.
So did they remove the HC restriction in Wrath Classic? Cause I can remember back in the day the leader had to have killed LK on normal difficulty to be able to switch it to HC.
If you set it in hc from the beggining there is no need
@@Remains123 Even if you switched it before entering it still required the leader to have a normal kill back in the day. Else it would just say you didn't have the permission to enter the raid.
And since this clear was done on week 1 of ICC release I was just wondering how they did HC already. But now that I think about it they might have done a 10N clear and used that to unlock HC for 25-man.
Hmm idk about that. Though since OG ICC was released in wings that would mean no one did hc within the first month. I didnt know that
@@Remains123 Yeah OG ICC was released in wings. But Classic ICC was release all at the same time and this video is only 2 days after it was released, which means people already did HC runs in the first week of Classic.
So either they removed the restriction of a normal kill required for HC to be unlocked. Or doing a 10N run is enough to open up HC for both 10- and 25-man version of the raid.
Hypotenuse means, the longest side of a right-angled triangle compared to the length of the base and perpendicular. The hypotenuse side is opposite to the right angle, which is the biggest angle of all the three angles in a right triangle. In simple terms, displacement is the shortest distance between the start point and the finish point. As you know, the shortest distance between two points is a straight line that connects the two points.
I stopped playing WoW for many years now, I'm a FF14 andy atm, but seeing this stuff never gets old.
Congrats to the legends showcased on this video. 👍

Definitely my favorite moment in WoW back in the day. I was playing a resto Shaman in a guild that got Yogg +0 9th world before the nerf, but we really struggled like most guilds on this one for a while. During enrage, it was me and a ranged DPS left, and he died leaving me solo, and my Flameshock tick finished him, Ventrillo went nuts, lol.
while these people do play very consistent and disciplined , i have to say my respect for those doing it in classic is minimized by the fact , that this is not a world first in general , because classic is SO much easier and we allready know everything. Nothing new, and the patch we play with differs massivly from back then. EVERYthing is so much easier. This here is just wannabes patting themselves on the back in 16-17 year old game, acting like they are pros in content my grandfather did back then.....
If this was just about playing clean and disciplined , that would be a good video. Other then that, wow is dead, and these kind of videos are a testament to why.
39:05 exactly. Now we have Anduin crying in the new cinematic as if that's what men aspire to be.

33:36 famous last words, everyone died a second later lol.
Its not that this was hard back in the day it was the technology that we used that made it more difficult computers had alot higher input lag with alot lower fps and the internet was hot garbage id be alot more impressed if they beat this on a mid range computer from 2009 2010 with equivalent internet connection
And people didn't have the benefit of past experience with years of private server and ptr time. That is what is key thing.
It technically isn't the hypotanus - because there is no triangle.
The chatter is technically right about called it the radius - or at least it follows the radius line from the spawn point to the edge of the circle. If the arena wasn't a perfect circle the line would be the "normal", but for a circle the normal and the radius lines are the same
What would hardcore wrath look like? And what about this fight would everyone die perm just for the glory?
I don't know, I think if you get ressurected by Tirion fucking Fordring your character should come back alive lmao
Well, the mechanics are known nowadays. The majority of player in classic wotlk are original players or now experienced raiders. Back then we didn't know all of the mechanics.
Addons really ruiins the wow experience honestly
Depends.. We had dbm, xpearl, recount, bartender and stuff like that back then aswell. Not an addon issue, a game issue
I was using all the same add-ons I use now in OG TBC back in 2007. Nothing has changed in that aspect. There have always been add-ons for serious raiders. If you think method wasn't using weak auras back then you're just clueless.
Wonder when Hardcore TBC and WotLK, maybe theyll allow transfers from classics vanilla hardcore into the next expansions.
I killed this boss back in WOTLK with the 30% buff. It's insane how shit we were back then compare to players now. I was in a top 200 guild then and felt like we were pretty good at the game.

I wish they had released classic without addon support. Would be interesting to see how much of an impact it really had.
We had addons in 2005. In 2010 Blizzard had to literally step in because the addons were so powerful, they reduced addon functionality again in 2016. These days they can't do nearly as much as they could back then, WOTLK Classic runs on a modified Dragonflight client.
@@EOHRyan I know, but still what if.
@@DeethAlAkir Honestly, without UI addons and damage meters I would have stopped playing in 2007.
And unless they did a better job of boss design it would just suck. A lot of mechanics people use addons for are damn near invisible without an addon, the addons kinda make up for bad game design.
