Kern. Your videos are so valuable and helpful. Thank you for taking the time to make these. Once I get my 340i I am going to have this video up while I do the job. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Question: Would there be any benefit to adding an oil catch can instead of having the PCV vent to the atmosphere? Would it be possible with this kit? I'm sorry if you've already answered this somewhere, I haven't finished watching all of the videos yet.

Hey started watching ur videos love how detailed you are about what you’re talking about I’m looking into getting a 340i just not sure which year I should go with and what I should consider when getting one ? I had a 335i n54 fbo and loved it but it was a money pit always putting new parts don’t want the same problem Would like to hear what u think I should go with ?
Hi kern! Your video is very helpful. I saw in your video that your PCV outlet and EVAP vent out in open air. But now you don't get a vacuum leak? Or these two vents are only outlet when crankcase is positive? When crankcase is negative it will not suck air back into these 2 outlets? (it has check valves?) Many thanks to explain!
Nice job on the Tutorial 👍, Why didn’t you install the waste gate actuator on the bracket first so you can install all 4 bolts , then install the bracket to the turbo , leaving bolts out is not cool
Hi kern! Can you run your set without any tune? (+airflow sensor) Just for short testing if everything is oké. Or i have changes to make damage to engine? Many thanks for your answer.
Do you still recommend this turbo kit for the B58 ? I have an a90 supra and i'm considering top mount options as well as hybrid turbo options. Does the kit come with everything needed or are there any supplemental parts required to gather outside of the kit?
Im planning on putting a doc race new gen 6466 turbo kit on a 2020 m340i in the summer but I have never done such a technical install on a car I have done simple bolt ons and I have watched several turbo install videos of pure800 installs and this one included obviously but since their is no specific instruction I am worried I would mess something up does anyone have any recommendations on how to learn to do this properly. I specifically want the precision new gen 6466 kit because its a top mount kit and I feel like it fits my specific needs I would also put a t-51r mod on it, but ik how to install that. Thank you!
Hey man question used your video to install a doc racing turbo kit to a a90. How would you go about checking for a boost leak? If I run a smoke machine where would you check? Thanks
Good day kern just fitted my hybrid turbo and When I press the ignition button it closes and opens but after starting it stays open which I know is for cold start once cold start is complete ,it then remains open and no boost because the wastegate stays opened any advice

It just depends if you're pushing a lot of oil. I'm not but some people have routed that hose to a VTA can.
Videos are great starting to think I can do this myself. hope to see the tuning and street driving videos soon!!!
Cant wait!!
Thanks for the support guys

What else do you need for a righ like this? Do you have to build the trans? Outside of the turbo and the manifold, what upgrades are required?
Awesome!
Yo kern, what happens to the CAI after you install a top mount turbo kit, where is it placed?
Hi kern!
Your video is very helpful.

Yes it has a check valve

Unfortunately the 2nd 2 bolts didn't fit with the welds that were in place. The 1st 2 still hold it in securely.
@@kern417 Gotcha 👍Thanks

Is the coolant and oil feed locations on the block the same for n55?
would this be the same install process on the A90 Supra? there's no other detailed videos like this on UA-cam
For the most part the same. The pcv vent setup is slightly different but you can figure it out from this video

Do you still recommend this turbo kit for the B58 ? I have an a90 supra and i'm considering top mount options as well as hybrid turbo options. Does the kit come with everything needed or are there any supplemental parts required to gather outside of the kit?
Yes i think it's worth it. There are new precision Options
Awesome video and channel. New subscriber here!
You need to put those other two screws in your waste gate actuator it has play
I will when i find more motivation but there are several guys running without them
Oh and the movement you see is the wastegate bracket not the screws. It's flexing from the wastegate finding its end stops
Hey, what are the manifold nut torque specs or recommendations? I keep blowing the gasket every 4 months for the past 2 years with the doc race kit
i used stock, but i learned it's important to double check torque after the gasket relaxes. So tighten it, wait a bit, then torque again.
@@kern417 will definitely try that, appreciate it

came with it

Remove the intake and attach it to the turbo then pressurize the system

No it does not

it's a tubular manifold

Yes but I'd always recommend a custom tune

Yes and wrap the exhaust as well. I was so excited to get everything on I forgot to show it in the video

What did u make on pump gas?
Never got to dyno unfortunately. I estimate around 520-530
Could you explain me step by step how the bleeding works for the coolant didn’t quite get it sorry

So no intercooler need ?
No
