Informative video! Did you have the option to use a solid state relay with the PWM output from the Reflex+? If so what was your reasoning for the on/off control? Thx you!
I think it just adds another level of safety and control so it cannot turn on unexpectedly. The pump cannot run 100% like the stock pump or it will burn out
I have a 2007 E90 335I with Reflex+ running MHD with Wedge Performance Flex Fuel tune and custom Reflex Bin file. The car has a stock LPFP sensor right before the HPFP but Wedge said that I needed to at the Reflex low pressure sensor as well. I am having been having issues with it reading a constant 110psi. Reflex is providing 12vdc but the sensor is providing a constant 10mA (4-24mA sensor). Motive has been giving me not the best help trouble shooting. I have traced out the wires and checked continuity. I am thinking bad sensor but Motives comments that I have to make setting changes in MHD and ProTuner has been confusing. Honestly I have not found any good videos with my setup. Any thoughts or guidance?@@kern417
I have been getting a code on my stage 2 440i’17 And the code is : 118209 LOW FUEL SYSTEM; DELIVERY RATE TOO LOW, I think this code is related to the low pressure fuel pump and i have been trying to fix it but what should i do? Can i just buy another lpfp or should i upgrade it? Or if there is any other way to address this issue because sometimes when i do a pull the car goes itno comfort mode.
Hey man love the channel, question I have a Dorsche stage 1 and I just ordered this LPFP will this really increase the power potential on my car or will it just support my feeling for a safer build ?
I'm curious, you did a video about the fuel it lpfp about 10 months ago or so and stated it wasn't the best because of the possible problems of the fuel starvation and fuel cut. What made you go with this option afterwards and not the other options ?
The drop in pumps tend to burn out the fuel pump control module. All the pumps with the same design have the same risk. But I liked the design on this one to make it easier to install.
So. Wait till you are 10 miles to empty instead of 1/4 tank. Got it That could not have been a very fun mod. I only imagine getting hot, sweaty, and high on fuel vapors. 🥵🤢
Thank you, I ended up getting it in and I have precision raceworks so it s slightly different but same concept. As for the ground, what did you ground it to in the rear? Thanks!@@kern417
It's completely separate. In most driving scenarios it's not even on. It should only be activated at a specific boost level, in which case if it's needed for your setup then yes it'll cut fuel. With a reflex it can actually monitor lpfp pressure and put the car in limp to protect the engine.
Good video. You have a gift for properly explaining processes and steps.
Minikern feature goin crazy🗣️
Best adlibs in the game
that locking ring gives me nightmares after doing this install 😂
Thanks bro you saved my car from blowing up
Thanks from Russia 👌
Thoughts on the Precision Raceworks stage 3? The pump install itself is not scaring me but the wiring is as they advertised as a 100% plug and play.
Great video

it may be the sensor. they are recommending something for the reflex safety parameters so it's a good idea, but it should vary based on fuel pressure.
Hi,thanks for your work! This is spool kit pump ?

it won't do anything. you'll hit the limits of the ds1 first.
Is a Spool stage 3 LPFP a good option im tryna get a pump that prevents ekp wire from overheating and melting
What gains are there from a lpfp

Is it possible to do with a full tank, mine took a crap right after I filled up.
It's going to make a huge mess
How much for your stock pump
Email me. Contact details are in the video description
how did you remove the top hat? that is what’s holding me back right now e
it just came off but you shouldn't need to remove it. put the secondary pump in the tank first, then push the main lpfp onto the bracket.

there are a few grounds in that area so i just grabbed one that was being used by an existing wire harness
Kern how in the world did you run all that fuel with a stock pump only this whole time, my tuner would not let me run PI at full E85 without LPFP
Because everything in the system has a limit and i wasn't hitting the limit until now
@@kern417 you weren't on full E?
I have been for about a year, yes
So what if the auxiliary FP fails...will that cutoff the fuel supply
