I purchased a 6766 kit from DOCrace last year and purchasing more parts for my 2009 335i xdrive 6 speed manual and watching this video is inspiring. Makes me want to rush the build but I want to be patient and build it right too. Love you build bro.
Have you had any problems? Want to do doc race top mount also but I’ve heard some horror stories surrounding Doc Race. Started looking at speedtech bottom mounts too.
How is it on the AWD? I’ve been debating upgraded twins vs big single on my XI but the main thing that’s holding me back from the big single is the lack of DIY on the AWD platform.

@@ThicWhips fair fair. I’m currently running 10w-60 to deal with extra heat when making more than 20psi. But all depends on what climate you live in. Our winters aren’t lower than 12 degrees Celsius.

all you need now is to ditch the index12s and go with a maxxecu setup.
If you had your time again and say 3-5 years timeframe instead of 1.5years. Would you keep it stock turbos and do the 1M conversion first, or use the money for the turbo kit and do the conversion later?

I went with a motiv bottom mount kit but boy do you make me want to switch to top mount 😂
Is it a twin scroll manifold? I have docs bottom mount kit with a 6466 turbo and cant complain it rips at 26 psi on full e85 but sometimes I feel I left some power by not going with a twin scroll manifold design.
I know you said DR offered you this kit. But what are your thoughts about the same iteration of the speed tech kit. Single wastegate design and a little more customization
Speedtech makes good stuff man, we see them all the time at the shop and they are solid
For the long term, are you worried about those coils being that close to the exhaust side?

Almost went RBs on my 335is, but were backed ordered. Decided to go with Docs 6466 bottom mount kit and couldnt be happier with the power and reliability. I will say if its a daily driver (mine isnt anymore) twins might be the better choice for down low torque around town, but for power, simplicity and reliability single is the way to go.

Question, why wouldn’t you just go with ces’s bottom mount turbo pkg that they offer and that you made a vid of. Why did you choose this set up instead?
1. I wanted top mount. 2. CES kit hasn’t been in stock for months. No idea when it’s coming back
