- Rumors have been flying around. Photos have been leaked. Articles have been written. Is Blackstone making an electric griddle. Did that Blackstone company release an electronic griddle. What's going on. Is the new Blackstone griddle electric?
That's right, I finally got my hands on one of the brand new Blackstone E-Series Griddles. I'll tell you everything there is to know about how it cooks and what I like about it right here. ALL DETAILS ARE IN THE VIDEO. Please watch the video as the majority (not all) of your questions will be answered in the video.
I ALSO JUST REALIZED I MADE A HUGE MISTAKE. THE NEXT VERSION WILL BE A 22" VERSION...NOT A 28" GRIDDLE AS I ACCIDENTALLY MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO. SORRY!

Blown away! The salmon looked perfect, but I’m in love with the e series!! I actually “cut my teeth” griddle cooking on my indoor electric griddle - but this is next level amazing. Cannot wait to see the 22” too!! Great Job Todd, Levi, Sadie and “mom!” 🤙🤙🔥🔥 smashed the like button for each of you!😄

I got really sick of constantly fighting rust on my 22” propane Blackstone. So I picked up this model and it’s perfect for our RV. Almost zero maintenance and I can use it inside as well. I love it.
Perfect for us up north, who won't brave the cold like you!

I think Levi was really liking the new E-Series. Especially how he was watching the cook through the glass hood. I can't wait to try mine out but I will wait till my utensils come in from Walmart.com.

That E series griddle is a game changer!!! It cooked that salmon to perfection and that non stick surface is amazing!! We are going to have to grab the 22 inch as soon as it hits the shelves!! Great to see the kids enjoying it with you too!!

It would work perfectly for a cabin that my family likes to go. They don’t allow open flames, but they do have electric outlets.
Not everyone are as fortunate to live in the country as we are and can't griddle outside. Great product buddy. Kudos to rd dept. Folks in the city will benefit from this😁👍

I love this griddle. I live in Canada (where the E-Series is NOT available until at least 2022), and found one available in Texas where my sister lives. Walmart is not shipping them so I bought it for curb-side pickup & my sister ran to grab it then shipped it to Canada for me. This Griddle is awesome and a must have for every kitchen.. it’s limitless in what it can do. Well done #Blackstone 👍👍

I need this!! We've had quite a bit of snow in Texas this past week, so I brought my 22" inside to cook with and set off the smoke alarm. This electric Blackstone would have made my life so much easier!! The salmon looks delicious! Gotta try this recipe. Thanks for your videos and sharing of your faith! God bless you & Texas! :)

I scoffed at the idea of an electric griddle when I first heard about it. But this video has changed my mind. Even my wife wants one. I love my 36” Pro Series, but this will be something I use daily. So take my money already!

If this was stainless steel I would have bought it right away, I am DYING! for a convenient steel griddle for my home, non stick is useless to me, they're not good for high heat and you NEED the stick for getting that perfect sear on smashburgers, steaks, etc..Blackstone should make stainless steel top replacements for all their griddles.

Right. I have a 17 inch on my balcony for my apartment but in winter it is almost impossible to use.
It just hit my local Walmart in Arizona and I had to buy it couldn’t pass this up thanks again for the video

This will be a game changer for cooking inside. No more really having to cook outside on mu 22inch griddle.
That is what I'm worried about. I am for sure going to buy this griddle but, I'm worried I won't use my 36in anymore..
I checked the Walmart website and they’re advertising a 22 inch E series with a cart. Is Blackstone introducing a cart to fit the 17 inch also? I already have a 36 inch BS at my home. I have a condo/vacation home where open flame ANYTHING is strictly prohibited. I have shopped around and all of the electric grills I have seen are really low quality and cheaply made. I just accepted the fact that I would never grill outdoors at my condo. This has made my day!
I like that electric griddle, extra cooking surface for inside!
Gordon Ramsey method for salmon:
1. make cuts length wise through the salmon skin, 1/4" apart.
2. Get the griddle very hot with olive oil.
3. Start cooking the salmon with skin down (this will make the skin crispy).
4. Watch the salmon sides, when they turn white half way up on the sides, turn the salmon over and cook rest of way (not too long, don't overcook).
That's just a beautiful. Praise the Lord and pass the salmon!

Finally purchased my first blackstone griddle went with the 36 inch and excited to recieve it next week

Want to see some more - and hear some more of your comments.......'m thinking I would put this on top of my kitchen gas range inside - and would use it there - rather than moving it around on my counter top space - which is limited. Wed shall see - think a 22" would be my choice...

Saw this griddle for 1st time on Walltwins yesterday. Needed to pick some stuff up at Walmart so I thought I'd look to see if they had some in stock, they had 1 so I snagged it. Watching those Walltwins cost me $117. Can't wait to use it.

I finally found one of these after hitting 4 different Walmart Supercenters in my area. I haven't had a chance to cook anything on it yet. I had to order the plastic utensil set through Walmart.com as none of the Supercenters had them. I also have the Blackstone 28" Rangetop Combo griddle. One thing that impressed me about this E-Series griddle was the sticker they have stuck to the griddle surface. It came off without leaving any residue. On my 28" griddle they had one stuck to the inside of the hood. When I removed it, it literally removed some of the paint. Not cool. So glad they changed the sticker adhesive.

We bought this 17inch E-Series Blackstone at our local Wal-Mart on Sunday March 07, 2021. When we got it home we unboxed it an discovered it was missing the draining pan, also it had a faint hairline fracture in the glass hood. My husband contacted customer service after a very long wait on the phone. We were instructed to send a copy of the Wal-Mart receipt along with a photo of the damage. We were assigned a case# so now we wait.
Hi James - That's not my department. However, I would return that to the store asap. You bought it at Walmart. They are selling out like hot cakes. You're must have had some damage in warehousing (the store) and that's almost insane that it was coincidentally missing the grease cup (1 in a million?). In any event, I'd return that to the store and get a refund. For what it's worth, I'm sorry about your experience.

Living in Minnesota where it's been in the -20s for the past few weeks, I made the decision to not do much grilling Outdoors this winter and I've been missing it. Something like this would be great for the winter months when I just don't want to go outside

Looks great Todd! And I'm pumped that it hits the Walmarts mid March. We live in a townhouse and we have been informed that no more Propane cooking surfaces are allowed on our patios. So this came in the nick of time. I'm also looking to pick up the new Blackstone Food Prep (Pro Series) cart. This is the unit with a sink. Been a Blackstone fan for about 4 years !
Hi Josh - Lots of folks already picking them up in stores so I would recommend visiting a few local Walmart Garden Centers soon just to make sure!

Grape Seed Oil is my go-to.oil. High smoke point, inexpensive. I mostly use it for reseasoning my griddle and castiron. A little bit goes a long way. I use other oils dependent on what I'm making. EVOO for a salad. light olive oil for a little frying. Butter is always a nice addition. Veg oil if I'm doing a lot of frying. A guy has to know what he's doing. Praise the Lord and pass whatever your cooking!!!

Awesome presentation, btw...look forward to possibly getting one for work...just a note, always cook salmon skin side to heating source first...then when you flip, you can easily peel it off while searing the flesh side, then flip back over one last time to cook off any silver-skin. The salmon looked very good...👍🏻
No way. I prefer flesh down for the sear/appearance. I think I mentioned it. Maybe not. I forgot to remove the skin earlier as I typically do. God bless!

Now I'm excited! I've been waiting for this. No way I would have bought a 28" for indoors but I will definitely be tempted to buy the 22". I will definitely have to do some side-by-side comparison when they hit Walmart. Thank goodness there are 4 Walmart stores within 30 minutes of me.

I really like the idea of these electric versions -- but I have yet to see ANY video where someone turns this bad boy up to 400 or 500 and get temperature readouts from a laser thermometer ANYWHERE CLOSE to the dialed-in temperature. At 250 or 300 I think you might be able to get accurate results, but one video I just watched the guy turned it to 500 (and let it come to temp, according to the Blackstone) and he did temperature tests all over the 17" griddle with temperatures ranging from 250 to 310. Nothing close to 400, much less 500. I don't know if it was a bad unit, but I've seen similar under-performing results on other videos as well. Keep in mind these people still LOVE their Blackstone... they were just shocked when they did a laser temp check for the first time on one of their cooking videos. Blackstone's gas griddles don't have this issue (they will tend to exceed the dialed-in temperature range).... with the brand new portable RV/Camping stove being the one with the most consistent temperatures over the entirety of the skillet surface (the least fluctuation in range). That Camping version is gas, so it absolutely comes up to temp (and easily goes over if you don't watch it... just like all the other gas versions).

That would be perfect for use camping in my motorhome, It won’t use propane if I’m hooked up to shore power and use my regular griddle if I’m boondocking.
