Started at 165-170. And now I'm 120-125. I started weight training in February and feel great. Thank lulu for your inspiration
Wow, now I know where my mom's plan came from growing up! Same source as yours, clearly--and she was always thin. One note on the oils: stick to organic, virgin, and cold-pressed; the rest are heat-treated to disguise rancidity, and have every kind of pesticide residue. They stick to your cell walls, and mess with your gut micro-biome, two things that will also monkey with your weight. So much to learn!
This is basically the same as what my cardiologist gave me 35 yrs ago but he had me eating raw and cooked vegetables at the same meal to make your digestive track work a little more. Such a heart healthy way of eating. Thank you for sharing.
Aas we face future it's best to get used to having less that the food chain supplies now. Less reliance on supplements and more eating your medicine. Tough times are here ..

Did this keep you from having to take heart meds? My heart doc recently suggested starting Crestor to prevent further build up of plaque in my (arteries?) I don’t have much yet so he says it would be a pre-emptive move. I HATE the idea of taking meds unless there’s no alternative.

I do take some supplements since our soil is so depleted and as we get older our cellular turnover is longer. I'm 70 and feel great. So the stress attack I had may have been a good wake up call. I eat mostly plant base but do allow myself a cheat snack/meal once in awhile.

Truer words were never spoken!! ❤ People sometimes have a hard time thinking you're "suffering" or "depriving yourself;" they dont realize that not even thinking about having birthday cake at the party is perfectly natural and totally joyful.

This might be boring for you, but I used to make a dinner I called "Italiano" - cooked green beans and some canned tomatoes (proper portions) sprinkled with 2 oz. Mozzarella and some herbs/spices to taste and then melt the cheese under a broiler. Better than pasta! (I only ever had oatmeal as my grain in the morning)
I am inspired by this and all the comments. I'm losing weight just in the process of DECIDING about whether I want to go full-on with LuLu's Plan. I haven't decided yet, but I seem to be going in the right direction.

I went down from 22 to 8. I felt great at size 11. Now I am back to 20. 68. I want this to be my last time . Thank you for the advice. I will do it one more time and stay on a proper meal plan. I like the 3 meals only. Knowing what to eat and never have to think about it!!!! Thank you.

I lost 120 pounds 3 years ago now and it is the daily discipline with the timing and content of my meals that i can maintain the weight loss. I stick to 3 meals a day and sometimes 2 with NO food in between my meals. I feel fantastic and i love my new way of life. However i get a lot of negative opinions from family/friends on my discipline around my eating habits. Your videos help me to no longer care that other people don"t like my way of doing daily life. I have began to be able to say well this is what works for me and its so freeing to not allow others negativity on how i choose to fuel myself to affect my mood because it would really bring me down at times, but now i just say this is what works for me and i feel fantastic. I love the simplicity and detail of this vlog and will print the charts out. I agree 100 percent with everything you said…food isn’t for recreation, we’ve be conditioned to ear things that aren’t beneficial to our health, there’s freedom in discipline, alcohol adversely effects all kinds of choices, and above all “this food life style serves me well”! Living alone and food planning is no longer a challenge, no more spoiled food because I’m cooking in batches. Later I weigh my healthy fresh foods as I assemble my meals. Grocery shopping has become enjoyable and much simpler. I recall the old days of weight watchers but cooking in batches makes it so very easy. I enjoy a big ass salad every day! And it’s fun deciding what to include in it. You’re the cat’s meow😉 I knew I could do this the first time I saw you prep a meal. Take care and I hope to join you in a few months at a meet up.

Thank you, Lulu, I started your food plan on January 1 and lost 13 pounds since. I intend to keep it for the rest of my life, as I feel healthy and energetic. I combined it with intermittent fasting, meaning I eat 3 meals in 8 hours and fast for 16 hours. It's just great - it's the only "diet" I could keep up with, and I have tried a lot of them so far....

Good Moring LuLu, this is Cathy, this is a great video, my favorite what you said this is no gimmick. How true is this in the past I would always do the next gimmick. I am glad I am off that rat race with the yoyo diet of all the gimmicks i would do. Its been over 5 years and I have maintain well over 50 pound weight loss. Your the best for sharing all your info. It works if you work it.
So far I feel so much better. I'm not over eating or feel like I am undereating. I didn't think I could eat 6 oz of blueberries and 4 oz of oatmeal but I did and it felt wonderful 😊 My bowl was almost overflowing with food too!
Perfect timing…doing my food shopping tomorrow and made a few adjustments to my list. I love the breakdown of the categories and the appropriate serving size for each. Like you, I cook everything up and store things separately in containers in the fridge. It makes meal assembly quick and easy. I am coming off of a back injury and finally got the okay to start walking again (it’s been a long 3 weeks). I’m setting my weight loss goal in 5 lb increments but following this will plan, I know I can get the weight off. Thanks for sharing!!
So great when you find a plan that works for you. I eat whole food plant based and it works for me. I have friends that think I’m crazy but it works for me, I’m soon to be 74 - happy, healthy and I take no medication.
Love the simplicity. To start I am going to adopt the breakfast schedule, because I am in a pattern of morning overeating. As I use up other things I have I hope to try this for all meals.
I'm currently eating fat and protein, no processed stuff or sugar/carbs (low). However when I reach my goal weight, I would like to add in some veggys occassionally. Like your plan... will definitely consider it.
I started putting on weight when I stopped sleeping well (perimenopausal, restless legs, too much overtime, ill mother). Recently, I’ve gotten my self-discipline back. I’m trying intermittent fasting (14/10), controlling portion sizes & planning my meals better. I loved the old Weight Watchers plan, it was so easy to follow. I find the points system tedious & annoying. I’m going to try some of your habits. Thanks for sharing 😘🇨🇦
Thank you for answering a question I had as to why this works. I have been following the food plan for about a month and it seems so easy (though I still eat whole grain bread--which is flour and grains, yeast, salt, water--I like a slice of toast now and then). Anyway, as you said, you don't have to think about it. There are times when I get a little peckish and want something and it is easy to say no because I know that just around the corner is my next meal which will be beautiful and easy, delicious and FILLING--oh my goodness! :). My sister has asked for the plan, so I'm glad you made this video, a very easy explanation.

Weight watcher here for 50yrs and I have been up/down for 50 yrs. At 65 lost 165lb over 17months through WW. I also did the three meals only with NO snacking. It was the time of my life!!!! But fell off the wagon and gained it back. Back on the three meals - no snacking!! It works.

I am very happy for you that you found a plan that has really worked for you and I do think we all need to be disciplined about our eating. However, we all have different bodies and in my case, because of hypoglycemia and adrenal fatigue, I do have to eat in between meals. However, snacks can be absolutely as healthy as the same great food I eat for my meals. I have to listen to my body and eat every hour and a half to 2 hours to keep my glucose levels up. If I'm not putting glucose into my bloodstream, my adrenals will have to send out adrenaline into the rest of my body to seek out glucose to put into my bloodstream. And having all that adrenaline going is a very toxic thing. I think you would agree there is no one right way that fits every body but we do all need to restrict ourselves and not eat junk food, fast food, and processed food -- which is not real food. Thanks for sharing what works for you and inspiring others to do the same.
you are 100% correct!! that's why I also on the FB group, under Files, is a suggested food plan that is 6 meals a day, for those with blood sugar issues and those that have had gastric bypass surgery. all of it is only suggestions!! 😊

no flour of any kind is permitted on this plan. there is no reason to "bake". it's about getting rid of those old favorites and make whole fresh food your new favorite!! 😊

Thank you for sharing this. This approach may just work for me. Less of ‘do not eats’ and more ‘eat this’ with how much and when added in. I generally don’t break my fast until noon, and eat two meals daily …plus alcohol with dinner, which leads to some evening snacking. Have cut the alcohol away back and using mint tea in evening to avoid snacking. Should I just cut out what you do for breakfast or try to include that in other 2 meals?
Gayle, I suggest that if you are not drinking alcohol and you are not evening snacking, you will wake up hungry and you will want breakfast. try it out!!

Good Moring LuLu, this is Cathy, this is a great video, my favorite what you said this is no gimmick. How true is this in the past I would always do the next gimmick. I am glad I am off that rat race with the yoyo diet of all the gimmicks i would do. Its been over 5 years and I have maintain well over 50 pound weight loss. Your the best for sharing all your info. It works if you work it.
So far I feel so much better. I'm not over eating or feel like I am undereating. I didn't think I could eat 6 oz of blueberries and 4 oz of oatmeal but I did and it felt wonderful 😊 My bowl was almost overflowing with food too!
just an FYI, the oatmeal serving is 2 oz. not 4 oz. it's 2 oz. dry oatmeal, then add water. and you need a protein serving at breakfast too!!

Perfect timing…doing my food shopping tomorrow and made a few adjustments to my list. I love the breakdown of the categories and the appropriate serving size for each. Like you, I cook everything up and store things separately in containers in the fridge. It makes meal assembly quick and easy. I am coming off of a back injury and finally got the okay to start walking again (it’s been a long 3 weeks). I’m setting my weight loss goal in 5 lb increments but following this will plan, I know I can get the weight off. Thanks for sharing!!

So great when you find a plan that works for you. I eat whole food plant based and it works for me. I have friends that think I’m crazy but it works for me, I’m soon to be 74 - happy, healthy and I take no medication.

Love the simplicity. To start I am going to adopt the breakfast schedule, because I am in a pattern of morning overeating. As I use up other things I have I hope to try this for all meals.

I'm currently eating fat and protein, no processed stuff or sugar/carbs (low). However when I reach my goal weight, I would like to add in some veggys occassionally. Like your plan... will definitely consider it.

I started putting on weight when I stopped sleeping well (perimenopausal, restless legs, too much overtime, ill mother). Recently, I’ve gotten my self-discipline back. I’m trying intermittent fasting (14/10), controlling portion sizes & planning my meals better. I loved the old Weight Watchers plan, it was so easy to follow. I find the points system tedious & annoying. I’m going to try some of your habits. Thanks for sharing 😘🇨🇦

Thank you for answering a question I had as to why this works. I have been following the food plan for about a month and it seems so easy (though I still eat whole grain bread--which is flour and grains, yeast, salt, water--I like a slice of toast now and then). Anyway, as you said, you don't have to think about it. There are times when I get a little peckish and want something and it is easy to say no because I know that just around the corner is my next meal which will be beautiful and easy, delicious and FILLING--oh my goodness! :). My sister has asked for the plan, so I'm glad you made this video, a very easy explanation.

Wow you are an inspiration . I am 72 and I have been a yo-yo dieter ( lose and gain and lose and gain), I am hopefully going to see if this works for me. It is so easy and well balanced! i did notice no dairy, so no milk on oatmeal or cereal? Thank you for sharing this! I am up to 246 pounds so i feel overwhelmed when trying to start a difficult diet with lots of rules. Thank you
oh yes there is dairy on the food plan. yogurt and cheese. skip the milk.

Weight watcher here for 50yrs and I have been up/down for 50 yrs. At 65 lost 165lb over 17months through WW. I also did the three meals only with NO snacking. It was the time of my life!!!! But fell off the wagon and gained it back. Back on the three meals - no snacking!! It works.

I am very happy for you that you found a plan that has really worked for you and I do think we all need to be disciplined about our eating. However, we all have different bodies and in my case, because of hypoglycemia and adrenal fatigue, I do have to eat in between meals. However, snacks can be absolutely as healthy as the same great food I eat for my meals. I have to listen to my body and eat every hour and a half to 2 hours to keep my glucose levels up. If I'm not putting glucose into my bloodstream, my adrenals will have to send out adrenaline into the rest of my body to seek out glucose to put into my bloodstream. And having all that adrenaline going is a very toxic thing. I think you would agree there is no one right way that fits every body but we do all need to restrict ourselves and not eat junk food, fast food, and processed food -- which is not real food.

you are 100% correct!! that's why I also on the FB group, under Files, is a suggested food plan that is 6 meals a day, for those with blood sugar issues and those that have had gastric bypass surgery. all of it is only suggestions!! 😊

no flour of any kind is permitted on this plan. there is no reason to "bake". it's about getting rid of those old favorites and make whole fresh food your new favorite!! 😊

Thank you for sharing this. This approach may just work for me. Less of ‘do not eats’ and more ‘eat this’ with how much and when added in. I generally don’t break my fast until noon, and eat two meals daily …plus alcohol with dinner, which leads to some evening snacking. Have cut the alcohol away back and using mint tea in evening to avoid snacking. Should I just cut out what you do for breakfast or try to include that in other 2 meals?
Gayle, I suggest that if you are not drinking alcohol and you are not evening snacking, you will wake up hungry and you will want breakfast. try it out!!
