I understand weight issues. At my heaviest I was 453 ponds I’m now down to 162. It was a struggle however it was worth it. I’m 60 and a solo female trucker. I cook 99% of all the food I eat out here on the road. You have done an amazing job! Keep it up!
WOW!!! Fannnnntastic!!! I know how difficult it is to lose weight, sooooo, I sure empathize on how much more difficult being on the road. Geepers, like Lulu, you are an amazing inspiration also!!! Stay safe and as we say in Canada, "drive to arrive alive"! All the best to you and yours always! ♥️🕊👍🕊♥️
Well done you, that’s amazing. It’s not easy especially doing the job you do. My late husband was a trucker and an amazing man. I sometimes went with him on his journeys and know how hard it is to eat properly and get the right foods. Truck stops and fast foods etc. was the diet. So, well done. Keep up the good work, you’re amazing.
Congratulations to you 👏👏 I am 62 and had the same story. Lost 100# TWICE 🤦♀️ Now I am a personal trainer, water ski, do ninja course... Old chicks can learn new tricks 😂😂😂❤
I clicked on your video so quickly because I saw that it was a woman of a particular age! I'm 46, and most of the weight loss video I see are by much younger women. I need to see more videos like this. I started my weight loss journey at about 203lbs, might have been more. I am currently at 173lbs and my goal is to get down to 123. My journey is extremely slow! It has taken me 2 years to get down to 173, I try not to compare my journey with that of other people, but it's hard sometimes. You have just gained a new subscriber!
hello!! so happy for you that you are on your journey to wellness!! if it's working for you, keep doing it!! if there are ways you could it better, more will be revealed!! I would say that comparing the RESULTS of your journey to others is not a good idea because we are all doing it different to achieve the results we want. does that make sense? so rather than comparing your results, I would keep looking at exactly what you are doing to achieve the goal you set, and if you are not happy with that, perhaps what you are doing needs a bit of tweaking. I'm happy you subscribed to my channel, I'm glad you are here, and I'm glad you are on the journey to a better you!! Lulu 💕
@@anneiconex1473 no I'm not, but I've been looking into it recently. I love meat! But I don't see myself not eating dairy like greek yogurt, or something like oats. The carnivore diet says you can't have those. Is that incorrect?
I enjoyed hearing your story and l love seeing someone who I probably went to school with.😂😂 Can you share what your eating plan is? I’ve tried them all including finishing the watermelon diet in August.. It was fun but it’s going to be hard to get Watermelons in the winter.😂 Thank you again.
Wow! You are such an inspiration which is what I need in my life right now. I’m extremely obese but in 2021 I lost 100 lbs due to cancer and I said I would never put it back. But here it is 2023 and it’s all back. 😞 I’ve been trying to take it off again but it’s so difficult. I’m 70 but I’m determined not to give up! Your videos give me hope.
Dear Dee... congrats... I appreciate this video so much.. a size 8 sounds so nice... I am 175 and I had been 161 in March. ... I hope to do what Lulu is doing!! ...
Try walking. I have been walking for 5 months and have lost 25 lbs. I started out at 1/2 mile and now walk 2-3 miles 5 days a week. I joined “My Adventure Challenge” to keep myself accountable. Good luck, I know the feeling.
I watched this video a 2nd time, Lulu. Such an "aha moment" you gave me. I remember, too, when Weight Watchers was a healthy eating program helping you select from the various food groups. That was before WW and the entire food industry realized that they could add salt, sugar, oil and all kinds of things we can't pronounce to processed foods to get us hooked and keep coming back for more. Such a sad state of affairs......Glad we can use our noggins, educate ourselves and get back to healthy!!
Mine was 50lbs. Up and down! So many times I can't even count. Finally in my 60s I became much more aware of my health and health issues. I also travel and camp. 70 hit and I lost my husband. I was alone for the first time in my life. Now my focus was on myself. It felt selfish in a way. But I decided if it is to be its up to me!! I started eating better, traveling more and living my life to the fullest. Its still a struggle but I do it now with a smile instead of a dread. I mess up all the time. I forgive myself and move forward. My health is better than most of my friends at my age. My doctor is amazed! She tells me keep doing what I'm doing, it works!! I am 77 years old.
taking good care of yourself is never selfish!! it's amazing how much you have to give to others when you come from a place of extreme self care and self love!!! 😊
You should have your own talk show. You are such an inspiration and I think you could help so many people! God is so good! YOU ARE A ROCK STAR!!! I love me some Lulu!!❤TN Nana
Oh LuLu! Thank you for sharing your heart and journey! You will never know how many people you are helping with your transparent honesty. God bless you!
Weight Watcher's is the only way I can lose weight. I'm grateful for it. It works for me. I'm happy that you're doing your thing, Lulu, and that you like it. I quit smoking 1 1/2 yrs ago. 😊
I am 70, soon to be 71 this fall. I felt like you were talking about me! Seriously! All the ups and downs, wt watchers, 30# up and down ~ oh goodness! I am joyous when I watch you as you are so grateful and cheerful. Thank you for your content. I am up in my weight now but you have inspired me and I am going to try what you've done and are doing. I too have to work hard as I am a carbaholic, sweets are my down fall but here I go!!
I’m 68, live in NZ and I’ve lost count how many times I joined WW. My heaviest was 99 kgs (218lb) and I got down to 62 kgs (136lb) through WW points system 28 years ago ( I’m 5’4”) but I learnt bad habits and would have a large mars bar instead of proper food and unhealthy food using points. I’ve joined various gyms and exercise programmes and I’ve seen numerous nutritionists, I’ve spent a lot of money. Last year I got down to 154lbs and I felt great. The motivation was a big overseas trip to Scandinavia. Since that trip last July/August I’ve gained 15 lb. I’d love to lose that and 15 more. I have a dog I walk daily but my sugar addiction is chronic. Thank you you’ve inspired me to get back to eating healthier non processed food. I feel dreadful, gluggy and tired all the time.
yeah, I hear you. when we have choices on how to spend "points", if we are a real foodies, we'll always choose unwisely. this food plan keeps you focused on making wise choices because all the unwise choices are eliminated. stay inspired, Pauline! 🙏
I’m so glad I stumbled upon this video 😊…I just turned 70 and I too have lost the same 30 plus pounds over and over. You have inspired me. 9 years ago I quit a 40 year smoking habit. I also said no like you did. I didn’t want to be that old smoker standing outside a store sucking down a butt in the rain. I gave it up cold turkey and never desired one again. I wish I could have the same determination with food! But your video has given me hope❤
hello Ann!! for me, giving up the food was comparable to giving up the butts. I didn't want to be outside a store sucking down a butt in the rain and I didn't want to be fat anymore hating myself as I squeeze myself into my clothes. I was just DONE!!
@@LulusWay64 but I still don’t understand what “diet” or “gave up foods” to lose so much weight. I’m 65, had accident 5 yrs ago & several surgeries. Gained 60 lbs that just won’t budge. I’m a Christian, do pray, grateful & thankful journals, etc. Can’t walk very long or far w/o bad pain in my legs & feet. It’s depressing but I try not to think about it anymore than I have to.
look in the description box of this video and you will see the food plan I used and I do suggest for losing weight. you will see that I eat perfectly balanced and the same amounts each day, always 100% of the time. you will also see the foods that are suggested to give up, because it will serve you well.
I'm 64, retired, single and on much the same journey as you re health, food, supplements, cigs, alcohol. I often feel sad when I think why did you not do this earlier. Fact is I have time now to concentrate on ME, no kids, husband, work, myriad of social engagements, outside stressors. It certainly makes it easier.
hello Adrianna! I believe, and trust, that my journey and my timing is EXACTLY what it should be. I don't bother asking myself why it took 55 years for me to finally get it. the truth is I GET IT NOW, and all I have is NOW, so I'm grateful!! 😊
Persistence is so important, and finding something you can actually lose and maintain on and live that way for the rest of your life.....sometimes it feels like there is no such thing, but just have to keep on trying...
I’m 5’2”, 53 yo, and ranged from 120 to 180. If I watch and measure what I eat closely and exercise regularly I can maintain my ideal weight (120-130). I felt my best at 120. If I let it slide for a month, I gain 10 lbs within a month. It’s frustrating. My downfall is stressful life events, sciatica, restaurant food, and adult beverages (when I have zero brainpower to maintain my diet and exercise routine when life becomes overwhelming). I’m starting over again with real food, yoga, and bike rides. I did it before, I can do it again. You are an inspiration.
Thank you for sharing your story . I am trying to loose weight and change my life style. You were an inspiration that we can do it regardless of age. Thank you.
you got this Mendy!!! just remember that no adult beverage or restaurant visit is going to fix life's stressful events. they will only add to the stress. stay inspired!! Lulu 😊
Such a wonderful, heartfelt story, Lulu. Thank you for sharing. So many of us have eating issues. One of the things that has worked well for me is intermittent fasting. I love good food and could eat every waking hour! Giving myself an eating "window" and continuing to eat only healthy, home cooked and whole foods is the one plan that has worked long term for me. I was never a smoker, and I may have 2-3 drinks in a week, so I'm fortunate that way. I'll be 72 next birthday, and the reasons I watch my weight now are also different from when I was 30. It's a conscious spiritual choice to care for my physical body. Each of us is worth the very best we can give ourselves! 💖
In 2017 i LOST 185#, a little more than half of my weight. From the time I was born until she died, my mother was obsessed with her and my weight. After I was weaned, she started me on SKIM milk. I was a very tall child. At the end of 6th grade I was 5'10" and 154 pounds, broad soulders, size 10 feet, etc. BUT of course I was discustingly fat. In high school I grew to almost 6'1" and 170# and a doctor told me I should lose weight. I was an athelete etc.e tc. but I was disgustingly fat. This part is a lesson to parents to not put your kids on a diet or mention their weight. Any way I maintained the 2017 weight loss until the pandemic. Still I am trying again in my '70's. I wish you the best. Keep up the good effort.
I'm sorry you had to go through that Karen. What you describe sounded like a perfectly healthy young woman who unfortunately got convinced, even by a horrid doctor, that she wasn't fine. If, you happen to struggle with an eating d/o, you might want to look into Equip online. I went through their program and it has helped me tremendously.
@@karenboyd6293 Yes! When I was 6 I spent 7 weeks at my grandparents house. Grandma loved to cook and bake. I came home maybe 15 pounds heavier on a petite athletic frame. The weight came off once I resumed playing outdoors, sports, and regular meals. BUT from that point on I was told over and over I needed to lose weight. The issue was that I didn’t have the same body type as my sisters who were taller and lankier. Looking at pictures from my childhood through sophomore year in high school I was normal weight for height. But the constant comments about losing 5-10 pounds really kicked in. A lifetime of battling weight gain. Have been focused on moving more, watching what I am eating, getting good sleep routine, and decluttering my home. My recommendations: Never call a child on their weight. Provide healthy meals, no snacks, and an active lifestyle of sports and activities that engage their minds and bodies. Have family meals and walking after dinner. And limit social media.
Wow! I just knew there was a story there. Actually, our struggles mirror each other. I turned 60 in Jan. I've struggled since I was about 10. Up and down. A couple of years ago, I started losing yet again after reaching 200lbs. I said that's it. No more. I'm an even 5ft., so every ounce of excess shows on me. I lost 65lbs. I let my diet slide a while and very quickly put 15 back on. Now, I'm back on my diet. I am feeling better already, after only a couple of weeks. I am still having a struggle with cigarettes. The bane of my existence. I don't drink anymore. I just don't have a taste for my beloved glass of wine. So, I guess 2 outta 3 ain't too bad. I do have physical health issues, due to trauma from a car accident and an abusive marriage, but it can be handled(most days). Thank you, for sharing your experience. It's nice to know I'm not alone and as always, for being an excellent inspiration. Take care!
Just found your channel recently and absolutely adore you. You have such talent for communicating, decorating, living life with a purpose. I have struggled with my weight for years. I retiired at age 72 three years ago. Two goals i had, to lose weight (277) and to declutter my small 800 sq foot home. I did lose 70 pounds but have gained 20 back the past year and my house is still a work in progress. I see a correlation to being over weight to having too much stuff in my house. You have inspired me to do a "reset" and get back on track. I find the diet guru's conflicting, from carnivore to vegetarian, to low carb, high carb. I finally realized what most of these diets have in common, is NO PROCESSED FOODS. THEY ARE KILLING US. so, back to my whole foods (mostly plant based), drinking water, getting rest, and STOP eating after 8 PM. Wish me luck with my continued weight loss and definitely the couage and strength to minimalize my home. I would like to achieve these two goals before i pass away. Love and encouragement to all who struggle and are NOT living their dreams.
I am sooo grateful that I fought your UA-cam sight. You are an inspiration to me. I can so relate to everything you have shared. I hear a Bostonian accent which also excited me because I’m a true Bostonian too. I will continue to watch you and look forward to more videos. I truly feel I can sleep better tonight and wake with 3 different outlooks to my life tomorrow (physical, emotion and spiritual. Not to sound corny but I swear You were sent as a wellness blessing to me. Thank you!
hello!! I'm so glad you found my channel and feel inspired!! begin your own wellness journey, you are worth it!! thanks for writing!! Lulu from Boston!! ❤️
I am 61 yrs old now and am experiencing a wonderful transformation. Much more mindful and appreciative of my life and what brings me joy. I just really enjoy your videos! Thank you Lulu
The up and down 30 is definitely exhausting and miserable. Love the phrase vibrant health. I’m 60yo and that is exactly what I’m focussed on mind, body and soul. It definitely takes mindfulness and effort and new emotional skills to keep growing and changing. ❤
It’s so nice to hear this from someone who is not 25. Im 43, gained 60lbs over the last 10 years. It just won’t come off but I’ll keep trying. Thank you for the inspiration ❤😊
Thanks Lulu, thanks for sharing your story, really resonates with me as I’m 55, 173 pounds and drink a little more than I should due to the fact that I’m going through a hard time with my marriage. I have a camper and I’m taking myself away this weekend on my own for the first time , need to be free from the stress for a little while . Thanks for inspiring me x
I have 50 pounds to lose. I am 73 yrs and the weight snuck up on me and I have a tough time losing even 5 pounds. I am so happy for you. But I do eat very healthy.
@jillgreen9503 Hugs to you from Texas 🤠 Lean on God, I'll pray for you: Lord Jesus, lift up Jill and resolve her problems. Give her your love and peace. In Jesus name 🙏 amen.
Very inspiring video! I turned 60 this year and am a cancer survivor(20 years). I have struggled with my weight my whole life but am now taking some tips from your very doable plan. Thank you for your positivity and encouragement! ❤
Your weight loss journey is so much like mine. I weighed 280 when I was 50 and found the best doctor in the world. I had a bypass in 2006 and lost down to 120 in one year. I now weigh 105, 5’ tall and the last 17 years my life is just right and I’m happy with it. If I only didn’t have RA, inherited, and another autoimmune disease I’d be great. I also didn’t want to be fat the older I got because I knew what was ahead of me with those two diseases. Thanks for your journey. Love 💕 and Hugs. ❤❤❤
Just happened to find your UA-cam Channel, and I totally love it!!!! All makes sense...really the same person with the same problems. Weight Watchers since I was 30 .... reached goal not sure how many times. This looks like something I can live with. You are very encouraging!!! Thank You
Having been a yo yo dieter most of my life, I get it. I lost 22 pounds just by watching what I eat and how much. I also walk 5 days a week at least 2 miles. Sometimes more. I love your channel.
hello!! yay you for paying attention to what you are eating and making better choices!! I'm so happy you enjoy my channel so much, thanks for letting me know that!! Lulu 💕
You just popped up on my feed with this video and everything you said was so similar to my life story. I think i was meant to watch it and wow, I was not disappointed! I love the idea of your food plan. Simple, clear and customizable. I have basically stopped all gimmicks/fad diet plans. When I think about the money I have spent over the years on this diet or that diet, it really makes me want to cry. I’m subscribing to you because you walk the talk and I can’t wait to watch more videos to see what other wisdom I can get from you. I just turn 61 and don’t want to spend my days fighting health problems that I can avoid by changing how I eat, when I eat and how much I eat.
hello Stowie!! welcome to my channel, I'm so glad you found me and I hope you get the inspiration you need to make big changes in your wonderful senior years!!!! in the description box of this video is the food plan I used to lose weight and I still follow that plan today with the exception of a small modifications to stop weight loss and being stabilizing/maintaining my weight. hop on the train to wellness with me!! Lulu 😊
Thank you so much for writing what food plan you used. I went to a dietician years ago asking for something like this. I wanted to know how much protein etc I should eat at each meal. She wouldn't tell me. Instead she dragged out all the food charts, I had to tell her what my food 'habits' were. She went on and on and by the end I was almost in tears. I forgot all about how weight watchers broke it down into categories. It made sense. My struggle has been similar to yours but after I had my babies the weight kept going up and reset wiped up this last 6 years due to a job loss, physical limitations increasing and depression exacerbated by the pandemic and financial struggles. I'm at the point I have no choice but to take back my life. My health is declining and I gained 12 lbs bringing me close to 370. The weight gain scared me because I had no idea I gained it because I had been around the same weight for months. Thank you for sharing and bless you.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Jean Niditch days! No points, back then. Very disciplined back then. Cost 2 dollars Canadian a week. I lost, lost, lost. The point system has too many items that are really a mo-no. If you indulged, back then it had to be fruit and veg, within reason. You are relating to my story. My heaviest was 201lbs at 5'4", no cigarettes & no alcohol! Thanks Heather Ontario, 🇨🇦
yes, the point system never worked for me for the long haul. I prefer the food categories and serving sizes, it's much more simple and just keeps me out of foods that are not even in a food group because it's just junk. 😊
Being one’s authentic self is indeed the highest calling to strive toward. Owning one’s entire story, along with continuing to be a student of life, is such a poignant message and example. I can tell this is more than an entertainment travel UA-cam Channel. This is your vocation. Keep on keeping on Miss Lulu. You really are an inspiration. And you 18:12 very much feel like a friend to all of us.❤
WOW what an encouragement!! I'm 56 and somewhat overweight and unhealthy. I know what worked "yesterday" (actually the first several months of this year) and you've just reminded me to do that very thing again! For me it was simply eating whole healthy foods with zero carbs after 3pm. That's what really had me feeling great and hopeful....with a weight loss of 20 pounds. Thank you for your testimony!
Blessings to your sweet Spirit, I am inspired to release the burden of 45 years of carrying an extra 100 lbs of weight as I am starting my sixties ✨🙏🏽✨🦋
Thank you for sharing your story Lulu! I am 56, morbidly obese and just realized this year that I have been on a diet for 40 years. I am relatively healthy and I am afraid that it is only a matter of time till something shifts. I am tired of the roller coaster ride. I am grateful that I found you.
hi Eric!! I was relatively healthy too but it was only a matter of time, that self-abuse and that state of living in an abnormal sized body was going to catch up with me and it was not going to end well. check out the food plan I followed to lose my weight, it's in the description box of this video. if you have any questions, let me know!! I'm grateful you found me too!! Lulu 😊
What a wonderful and motivational time I just spent with you on your bench. Thank you Lulu. I’m not in a good spot but I am better than I was so I’m going to be proud of that and one foot in front of the other day to day. ❤
Hey, Lulu! Thank you for sharing your weight loss journey. I’ve struggled since my early teens. I thought I was ‘fat’; but looking back, I was in my perfect weight zone for my height of 5’ 8 1/2”. In 1969 I went to Mexico with the Girl Guides. I was 16, and weighed 133lbs, and I returned home weighing 131. All through high school I yo-yo’d and never went above 142-but I wasn’t eating healthy. After university I weighed 77 1/2 and went to Weight Watchers. I was on the same plan you followed-I still have my yellow coloured booklet. I lost 25 1/2 lbs and was just within my healthy weight zone. Unfortunately, I chose to stay on the plan and lose a few more lbs instead on going on maintenance. Big mistake! Long story, but ai ended up at 245 lbs in June 2020-partly due to indulging in unhealthy snacks when in isolation. I’m now down to 210ish, and am currently aiming to get to 160. I’m SO glad to have found your channel! I’m going to follow your plan-like the old WW plan-which worked for me in the 70s. I did try the points system years ago. Ridiculous system. It has nothing to do with preparing a person for life-long healthy eating regime. Thank you for sharing your journey. I’ve already watched a couple of your cooking/meal prep videos. They will be invaluable to my journey going forward! Keep chuggin’ and stay well! Muskoka ON 🇨🇦
Exercise is excellent for keeping weight off and building muscle. It’s impressive to hear your story, and to know that people can still lose substantial weight in their fifties!
I would love to know you. You inspire me and give me ideas for my own life. I’m 75 now and just want to sleep. You help me think in another direction. God Bless You and thank you for your story.❤️❤️❤️❤️
We get so much conflicting about weight loss. Its a huge profitable industry. I once read a study that found no one keeps the weight off more than 3 years after attending a diet club. Hormones play a huge part for us ladies too. We're not all the same and I think it's more about health and what works for us. Walking is a great way to lose weight even if it's just on the spot in your living room. You look great lulu, congratulations on your weight loss. Glad I found your channel.
Lulu you just described my journey. It always feels like it’s never ending. About 9 years ago I even joined a research weight loss group. I lost about 30 pounds and said I will never go back but I did. I gained 20 back over the past few years. You have inspired me to give it another try. I’ve lost 15 pounds and half way to where I want to be. It’s taken over two months but slow and steady will win the race! And thank God that with age one realizes that it doesn’t have anything to do with the clothes, or looking good in someone else’s eyes or occasion I’m losing weight for, it has to do with feeling healthy. Thank you Lulu❣️
Thanks for sharing your story. It definitely explains a lot about why you are so strict with your diet. You are happy, content, healthy, and grateful. I'm so glad I found your channel. Life is what you make of it.
hello Rae!! for me, there is no wiggle room. I don't want to lose what I have, it's too important to me to feel good every day!! I'm so glad you found my channel too!! Lulu 💕
At one of the lowest points of life right now, and your video had me smiling --- deeply. Thank you for sharing about your experience and offering an uplifting message here. You inspire! 🙏
Thanks for sharing this story. I drank almost daily for most of my adult life, and finally quit within the past year. Now I'm working out 4 to 6 times a week and eating keto. I'm a snail. It's so so hard. I'm trying to keep up the fight. P.S. I'm the same age as you. I'll be 65 in a couple of months. and it is now about feeling good. I just want to feel good and have my well being.
Congratulations Lulu! I commend you! I love your story. Thank you for sharing! Your story is a mirror of mine without the smoking and drinking. I tried everything, the latest was the Keto and a couple of personal trainers. None helped me get past a certain number, and I felt horrible. I sat myself down, evaluated my whole existence and decided to go back to basics and your meal plan that you shared, is very similar to mine. I am slowly, but steadily losing weight and feeling the best ever. The funny thing is, I am now an able-wheelchair user due to arthritis growing on the inside of my spinal column, and I am still losing weight and my mobility and pain control are at their best!
What an inspiring story! I had a severe binge disorder and remember the total loss of control, the loop thinking that compelled me to eat without abandon day after day. I also was a smoker. And now I'm a drinker. I just have that personality. I am also on the other side of 55. 😒 I've been watching your videos the last few days. I love how you say, "Life is good." And your van life is a metaphor for being in the driver seat of your own life. Thank you for your thought-provoking chats and your joie de vivre.
Thank you for sharing this, Lulu. You're right about keeping things simple. Just eating whole foods and weighing is pretty much the easiest way to lose and maintain weight. Well.done. You look amazing and obviously living your best life! x
hello Lee!! yes, it all comes down to energy in, energy out. whole clean food is what gives us the health and vitality. thanks so much for writing, and your kind words!! Lulu 💕
You are so inspiring! The diet plan you listed looks like the exchange diet they gave my mom in the 80's when my sister was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes. It's a really good plan!
Dear Lou Lou, thank you so much for yoyr video! I am 50 years old, and I am the person trying to lose weight and fit into a size 6 or size 4. I have skipped meal, and eaten like a bird and I have not been able to lose weight. You have helped me a lot! Thank you again for putting yourself out there!
This was truely an inspiring post. I will be turning 60 September 29th and still struggling (35over) with my weight. I always start my day strong but finish with a crash. I know I must remove all the sugar from my diet. I will try and keep you in mind and stay strong till the last hour of the day. Thank you for this post. You look amazing keep up the good work.
hi Christine!! giving up the sugar just makes it so much easier than to try to eat less of it. I've tried it both ways. none at all is so much more peaceful!! 😊
Ive also lost 92 lbs and lost the first 75 with the help of weight watchers. Now ive cut out processed foods, most sugars ands all sodas. Have included walking and weight training. Trying to continue to grow emotionally, mentally, spiritually daily❤️. So proud of you and for you lulu. You are such a beautiful spirit✌️
I love seeing the healthy meals that you make. I eat pretty healthy too but struggle with veggies. You are inspiring others. Congratulations on the weight loss!
I much, much preferred the version of Weight Watchers that you talked about. I followed it in the 90s. It was soooooo much easier to follow than the various points systems do. Congratulations on your losing weight & being more healthy.
Found this LuLus channel last night when the algorithm showed me the video on women campers showing their favourite camping hacks . Immediately subscribed to the channel bec I was drawn to LuLu’s upbeat confident presence . then this morning the YT showed me this gem . ❤ from Ontario Canada
I've only been watching your channel for about a month-month and a half, but I notice that you are a very methodical person in everything you do, from your van build to your eating regiment. I think that is the key to your success. Here's wishing you an indefinite continuation of your joyful journey.😊
Wow LuLu I feel like we are sisters and I just listened to my life watching this video. How amazing. Yes the Spiritual journey has been amazing for me. It’s like I found myself finally. The weight I get that part also. What a struggle. Thank for sharing this. Really enjoyed. ❤
Loved your story. I'm 75. Short and always been chubby. It's been the Rollercoaster life for me too. Need to lose but my metabolism is do slow. Did I miss what your eating and activity routine us? I'm sorry if I did. Do you just eat healthy? Do you exercise. You are a lovely lady and so honest. Thank you!
the food plan I followed to lose weight is in the description box of this video. I still follow that food plan al these years later, with a few minor adjustment to stabilize/maintain my weight and stop weight loss.
Congratulations!!! You eat like I do, I just don't do breakfast and stop eating around 4-5. It is sooooo easy to eat like this, no cravings! Thank you for motivating myself to do meal prep!!
I had only seen van life things with you. Then your cabbage video popped up today so I went hunting for more of your content. I think this was exactly what I needed today, at 56, on the downhill slide to 60. My body is seriously jacked up. Weight is a bit high, but feeling unhealthy. My bones and joints are all requiring surgery (or so it seems). My head is NOT in that place! Thanking you for the inspiration to simply be healthier. Big love and radical grace to you. ❤️

hi Pandora!! there is no reason why you can't be vibrant and healthy in your 60s. you need to treat yourself well and make good choices for yourself. "does this serve me well?" stay inspired!! Lulu 😊
What an inspiration you truly are, and you also have a joyful, optimistic, cheerful outlook on life. Good for you for losing all that weight. What will power you possess! I just became a new subscriber to your channel. Keep on keeping on, Lulu.
Slow but steady-I am losing. Weight loss for me has been a life time journey. I also realize its an "inside job". I am not their yet to be at maintenance but I can feel the changes, shifting of priorites, and self care. Thank you Lu Lu for sharing your story as it means a lot. You have broken it down into a Physical, spiritual and emotional journey. When i slow down enough to see why I want to take that next bite I find myself asking how much do I want to live a healthier life and how much do I love myself. Determined.❤ So grateful for your courage to talk about this topic.
Thank you again for sharing a story so identical to mine when it comes to the up and down weight. I am 60 and you made me think about my future and need to start taking better care of myself.
Oh yes, the story of my life. 2020, I was at a weight where I was fairly happy. Then came the isolation and deprivation of Covid. What made it even worse was that I was now 83 years old and had within a very short length of time developed a physical condition where I was bent over and found walking extremely painful. Losing weight, had if anything made the whole situation worse but I hung in there for a while, but gradually the weight starting to creep up and guess what… I’m 30 pounds heavier. However, most of my weight seems to have settled around my waist, where I’ve never really had a problem before. Now it’s not only an overweight problem It’s difficulty in doing anything even eating. and I am not feeling good about myself. I had finally come to terms and I said what’s the point of trying? I’ve done this so often what’s the problem. I loved listening to you today. I thought to myself I may not have very much longer to live, but you know I could be a lot happier and a lot more comfortable if I lose this weight again. The main thing with me is to lose the weight in such a way that I still enjoy life. I really don’t have a problem with drinking. I do drink but only in company and usually that’s a glass of champagne and maybe more than a glass. The biggest problem with me is that I have to cook for myself, and I don’t want to cook for myself and eat anything I get my hands on. I have developed intolerance to all greens and all grains, I also find many fruits are not digestible to me. These all cause great pain and friends don’t want to be near when I eat any greens. It’s not going to be fun but after listening to you, I think I’ll give it one more try. My granddaughter is getting married next August and even if I took off 15 pounds I would feel a lot better at that time I was at my heaviest when my daughter Got married and I don’t want to be in that position again. Wish me luck. I am also going to go to see a dietician because I am limited in what I am eating and I feel nutritionally I am certainly becoming deficient. I am now 86 and God knows how long I’ll be here to be fat or thin, but a good life is worth trying for, anyway. By the way, my nickname is Lulu.
hi Lulu!! I'm so happy you wrote to me!! "happier and more comfortable", do it for that, if only that. life isn't a fashion show, right? just FEEL better, Lulu. life is so much more pleasant that way!! give it a try! YAY YOU!! Lulu 😊
Thank you for sharing your weight loss story. I know that it will make a difference to many people and perhaps give them the opportunity to do the same for themselves. I have struggles with my weight my whole life and it has caused me many health issues and emotional issues. My father was an alcoholic so I never wanted to drink and become like him. Food was my drug of choice. I too went to Weight Watchers which worked well the first time. I never did well the other times I went. I am now 81 and really can see what this weight has done to my life and my body. I do what I can and have decided to have that be okay for me now. I am done wishing it was something else and not making it happen. Thank you as always for your kind words and non judgment of others.
What an inspiration, you are! Thank you for sharing your journey. I'm on that journey and I realize that at some point, my "why" has to be bigger than this never-ending, crazy rollercoaster ride!🥰
Lulu, Thank you for sharing your story the rollercoaster is real for all of us! So glad you found what works, I swear it is clean eating, all those chemicals and preservatives are evil, I believe they keep weight on and do more harm to you than you know! Keep going, the way you feel is most important and the strength you have from eating good will take you a long way! Congrats!
I understand weight issues. At my heaviest I was 453 ponds I’m now down to 162. It was a struggle however it was worth it. I’m 60 and a solo female trucker. I cook 99% of all the food I eat out here on the road. You have done an amazing job! Keep it up!
Great job!! Much to be proud of!
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😢😢🎉🎉Beautiful Blessing Darling'.🤟🍑🥳
Keep up the good work, you’re amazing.
well done Tammy!! being on the road does not have to mean fast food and quick food. cooking all you food is key!! YAY YOU!!! 😊
Congratulations to you 👏👏
I am 62 and had the same story. Lost 100# TWICE 🤦♀️
Now I am a personal trainer, water ski, do ninja course...
Old chicks can learn new tricks 😂😂😂❤
yay you!!! "old chicks learning new tricks!!" LOVE IT! 😊
@katrcombest3602 I'm 61. What city are you in?

I needed to hear that!❤️
I clicked on your video so quickly because I saw that it was a woman of a particular age!
Lulu 💕
You go girl! Everyone's journey is different; its just important to remember that you're on a new road. Congratulations!
Are you on carnivore? @swatkasham5509
Keep going you got this 😊
Don’t eat anything 4 hours prior to bedtime. No snacking on anything ! No in between meal snacks. No sugar and walk walk walk walk. 👍🏻😊
hello Dee!! there is hope for all of us!! stay inspired and only eat those things that serve you well!! Lulu 💕
I love me some Lulu!!❤TN Nana
hello Cathy!! if anything I say helps someone, it's a good day!! stay inspired!! Lulu 😊
Oh LuLu! Thank you for sharing your heart and journey! You will never know how many people you are helping with your transparent honesty. God bless you!
thanks Jane!! 💕
Weight Watcher's is the only way I can lose weight. I'm grateful for it. It works for me. I'm happy that you're doing your thing, Lulu, and that you like it. I quit smoking 1 1/2 yrs ago. 😊
YAY for you for quitting smoking!! what a relief it is to have that out of my life!!! 😊
Congratulations on both !
Weight watchers was great for me as long as I went. Once I stopped, especially during covid, the weight came right back on.
WW 50 years. Now Carbgenious app. Watch carbs & keep weight off. ❤️
Understand where you’re coming from. ❤i have 150 pounds to lose. Just turned 57. I am ready. To hit my 60´s in a better me.
I do too. I am turning 70 next year. This is doable with patience and smarts.
stick around and get inspired!! if not now, then when? you are worth it!! ❤️
"It's such a huge project and it's never done..." So true!
LuLu! So happy for you! I'm on this same path. I'm 57 and finally addressing these truths. I'm 45 pounds down and going.
YAY YOU!!! you're doing it!! terrific!! so happy you are on the path to freedom!!
Lulu 😊
Stay away from Yoga. It's demonic.
The best is yet to come Lulu ❤
YAY!!!
hello Kaye!! very well said, it's a spiritual choice to care for ourselves, we are worth the very best we've got!! thanks!! 😊
Keep up the good effort.
hi Karen!! you did it before, you can do it again!! take good care of you. if not now, when? 😊
You were definitely not overweight with your height! Goodness, I'm so sorry you felt like that.
@@ruthrose2555 I was constantly TOLD I was overweight, so that is how I felt. It is important to stop fat shaming!!! Thanks for your reply
Take care!
stay inspired, Lynn . . . you got this!! 😊
You got this! 💪🏽
yup, time for a reset!! stay inspired!! 😊

hi Jennifer!! so happy you feel inspired and that you like the very doable plan!! stay inspired, glad you are here! Lulu ❤️

Lulu 😊
A beautiful story, Lulu, of a woman unfolding into her wholeness. A lifelong journey.
yes, it really never ends!! which is a good thing, what else would I be doing? 😊
Thank you for sharing and bless you.
hello Helen! I hope this food plan can work for you, and that you will begin your journey to wellness!! serve yourself well, you are worth it!! 😊
Yes! Yes!
Thanks
Heather

yes, the point system never worked for me for the long haul. I prefer the food categories and serving sizes, it's much more simple and just keeps me out of foods that are not even in a food group because it's just junk. 😊

Keep on keeping on Miss Lulu. You really are an inspiration. And you 18:12 very much feel like a friend to all of us.❤
hello! thank you so much for your delightful note!! stay inspired!! Lulu 😊
Thank you for your testimony!
hello Stacy!! I'm happy to know you feel encouraged to go back to a food plan that worked well for you!! YAY!! 💕
Love that no carbs after 3 never heard that I am going to give a go thanks for sharing !
Blessings to your sweet Spirit, I am inspired to release the burden of 45 years of carrying an extra 100 lbs of weight as I am starting my sixties ✨🙏🏽✨🦋
hi Sylvana!! there is no time like NOW to take care of business. it's time to take good care of you!!! 😊
Thank you for giving us your food plan. Your story is inspiring for anyone struggling with weight
So glad you didn't give up!! You are a blessing to so many
thanks Debbie! ❤️
🎉🎉🎉❤ good for you! If you don't have your health..!! Nothing else matters.
Lulu 😊
@@LulusWay64 Thank you so much 🤗
What a wonderful and motivational time I just spent with you on your bench. Thank you Lulu. I’m not in a good spot but I am better than I was so I’m going to be proud of that and one foot in front of the other day to day. ❤
hi Kat!! so happy to hear you are in a better spot than you were!! and acknowledging that and rejoicing in it!! YAY!! ❤️
@@LulusWay64 thank you Lulu ! Hope you had a nice meetup in Missouri’s half way mark😃
Keep chuggin’ and stay well!

yes, this plan is very similar to the old WW plan!!! may you continue your journey to wellness! 😊
Exercise is excellent for keeping weight off and building muscle. It’s impressive to hear your story, and to know that people can still lose substantial weight in their fifties!
hi Ruth!! yup, it's never too late!! ❤️
I would love to know you. You inspire me and give me ideas for my own life. I’m 75 now and just want to sleep. You help me think in another direction. God Bless You and thank you for your story.❤️❤️❤️❤️
What a woman. Magical, stand tall gal, your head is in the right place for you. Xx
Thank you Lulu❣️
yes Marisa!! nothing better than feeling healthy!!! and, if we look good too, then all the better!! 💕
I really can relate! I am now 54 yo and have regained 30 kg (of 55 kg lost) during the last 2 years. Your story gives me hope and motivation.
say hopeful and motivated, you are worth it!! 😊
@@LulusWay64 Started with -3 kg like a miracle!
Lulu 💕
@@LulusWay64 Can you give a breakdown of what your plan is eating wise?
I’m confused on what rules to follow
the food plan is in the description box of this video.
At one of the lowest points of life right now, and your video had me smiling --- deeply. Thank you for sharing about your experience and offering an uplifting message here. You inspire! 🙏
hello! I'm so happy that you enjoyed a smile today and felt uplifted. that made me smile. stay inspired! Lulu ❤️🙏
The funny thing is, I am now an able-wheelchair user due to arthritis growing on the inside of my spinal column, and I am still losing weight and my mobility and pain control are at their best!
hello!! I'm so happy to hear that you are feeling the best ever!!! thanks so much for sharing your story with me!! Lulu 😊
What an inspiring story! I had a severe binge disorder and remember the total loss of control, the loop thinking that compelled me to eat without abandon day after day. I also was a smoker. And now I'm a drinker. I just have that personality. I am also on the other side of 55. 😒
I've been watching your videos the last few days.
It's a really good plan!
stay inspired!! 😊
Love your honesty and humbleness
11:22 wow, well done! It takes guts and a whole lot of discipline and dedication to achieve your goals.
You should be proud. Your amazing. I follow you and you are so motivating.
thanks Angelica!! thanks for writing and stay motivated! 😊

I love seeing the healthy meals that you make. I eat pretty healthy too but struggle with veggies. You are inspiring others. Congratulations on the weight loss!
Such a joy and a delight to hear you share your story. Thank you ❤😂
What an amazing story. Thank you for telling it and giving hope to so many of us who struggle with weight issues!
❤ from Ontario Canada
hi Mayanna!! I'm so glad you found my channel and are enjoying it. thanks so much for writing!! 😊
A pleasure to listen to you!
I've only been watching your channel for about a month-month and a half, but I notice that you are a very methodical person in everything you do, from your van build to your eating regiment. I think that is the key to your success. Here's wishing you an indefinite continuation of your joyful journey.😊
yes, I guess you could call me methodical. I think things out and then carry them out!!
Wow LuLu I feel like we are sisters and I just listened to my life watching this video. How amazing. Yes the Spiritual journey has been amazing for me. It’s like I found myself finally. The weight I get that part also. What a struggle. Thank for sharing this. Really enjoyed. ❤
Thanks SO MUCH for your story. I can relate. I’m in my early 70s and have never been so out of shape and fat. You are an inspiration ♥️🙂.
hello Bea!! stay inspired, you can have this way of life too! 🙏
Thanks miss Lulu for not giving up. Now, sharing your life journey you have inspired us , your viewers not to give up on ourselves.
Good job Lulu! I’m 71 and struggling 196lbs morbid obese today. Will change that. 😊

Great story and so well put together. God bless you.

Thank you Lulu for sharing your journey ❤
Slow but steady-I am losing. Weight loss for me has been a life time journey. I also realize its an "inside job". I am not their yet to be at maintenance but I can feel the changes, shifting of priorites, and self care. Thank you Lu Lu for sharing your story as it means a lot. You have broken it down into a Physical, spiritual and emotional journey. When i slow down enough to see why I want to take that next bite I find myself asking how much do I want to live a healthier life and how much do I love myself. Determined.❤ So grateful for your courage to talk about this topic.
hi Denise!! I'm thrilled to hear about your journey and how you are looking with in and asking yourself those tough questions!! ❤️❤️
Thank you again for sharing a story so identical to mine when it comes to the up and down weight. I am 60 and you made me think about my future and need to start taking better care of myself.
the future is ours to create!!! "what serves me well?" YAY!! ❤️
Sounds like my journey only I’m 69 and still on the roller coaster 🤦🏻♀️!
You have a very inspiring your story!!!!!! So happy you’re doing so well!

Thank you as always for your kind words and non judgment of others.
hi Sally!! as long as you are happy with your decision to have that be okay for you now, then that's okay. because we all just want to feel OK. 🙏

Lulu, Thank you for sharing your story the rollercoaster is real for all of us! So glad you found what works, I swear it is clean eating, all those chemicals and preservatives are evil, I believe they keep weight on and do more harm to you than you know!
