@@PorcuDuckSlug I didn't say that they were unplayable for everything, I said that they're effectively locked out of the Witness bossfight. The two most damaging Titan supers can't be used on the boss, meaning their supers are relegated to just ad-clear when that's already on lockdown because of the fact that the Heavy slot isn't necessary for damage. Furthermore, that 10% a Super can contribute can be the difference between wiping due to insufficient damage and killing the boss, and when Titans are already forced to do subpar damage thanks to having to use Linears they need all the options they can get to keep up with the rest of the team while they themselves really don't bring anything to the table.
The main reason (above others) that Last Wish clears Edge is that every encounter is far more memorable. Like without looking it up, what is the first encounter of Edge called? Because everyone knows what the first of LW is. And everyone says Edge is better because of Verity but that is so different than the rest of the raid, it may as well have been pulled from a completely different raid.
Well Kali can be farmed solo with glitch, then you can use the Wishwall & get the bonus chest. That means you get 2 easy guns per week. There is no need to do other encounters & there is definitely no need to do Riven once you have 1000 Voices exotic. IMO evan places too much emphasis on the day 1 experience.
I hoping most of the raids that got sunsetted do get some remasters or reworks and then be implemented back into the game. Also, I hope the current raids like Garden of Salvation gets some updates to its loot pool like how Deep Stone and Last Wish got
Last Wish is Number 1. Each encounter was unique. No real overlap. Everything stays fresh. Best final boss fight in history and it's not even close imo. Salvation's Edge: Encounter 2 should have been a two subjugator bosses in the pit- strand and stasis forcing groups to split into two teams on DPS. Encounter 3 was a huge waste and should have been a scrapped for different encounter entirely. Everything else is perfect imo.
I think Vow is the top spot for me. Each encounter is perfect. Caretaker and especially Rkulk are incredible boss designs. The atmosphere is amazing. I think people forget since it’s so common now, but Vow was one of the first times we entered a pyramid and experienced the pyramid aesthetic. The loot is great. Forbearance needs no introduction. Collective Obligation is unique. Vow is also where Bait and Switch was introduced which has still shaped the meta to this day.
I think the fact LW has 4 bosses vs SE 2 makes up for the aging of the raid. I also really just like the dreaming city playspace more than the one we got for SE. But those 2 are for sure 1 and 2
@@FadedMaple07 I'd also argue that Titan raid sets have looked decent across many raids. Last Wish, Vow, Ron (Though the armor shades horribly which is why nobody uses it because why does it shade differently from every other armor? Even pyrogale which is an exotic version of the armor set shades normally), even the new Titan set is okay unlike the other 2.
GARDEN is one of the best raids EVER!!! Every encounter is different and the boss is beefy. The art is AMAZING too. Crown rated higher than GOS might be an ACTUAL CRIME.
@@kyledea187mdkjr5At least it’s two different bosses in Garden and not just Gahlran Jr. and Gahlran Sr. Also lets not forget that Crown’s bosses are just a very big and normal sized Ceremonial Bather from Leviathan. Garden’s bosses are the only two Vex in the series to be made out of stone.
Vow is and will forever be my favorite raid. It’s the first real raid experience that I had, and my first low man experience (which led to 3 manning every raid currently in the game along with Pantheon). The loot was great at the time (still okay but not the greatest). But I really love every encounter. It’s fun to just chaos the entire raid.
Honestly, your Top 5 aligns with mine. For awhile, Deep Stone was everything. Every single week my clan was in there doing mutliple runs. We mastered that raid. And yeah, it's so very tragic that Wrath of the Machine hasn't been remade for D2 yet.
It's not very replayable with a team either. None of my friends want to run it. I don't understand why the entire raid is very hard except for the final encounter with the biggest bad which is.. easy? The balancing is so wack
Wrath of the machine holds a special place in my heart, it's in my top 3 definitely, It was my very first raid that I started and completed with the same fireteam (due to my personal life I never had the chance to play the previous ones in the right way, VOG and Crota loot was not updated with the actual power level so wasn't worth apart from the pleasure of doing them, and I played King's fall in chunks, every encounter with a different team), I loved the encounters, I loved all the bosses, I FUCKING LOVED THE SCORE (the tune that plays during the wipe mechanic still haunts my dreams and everyone who played that raid knows exactly what I'm talking about), I will never forget the feeling to having finally made it. Last Wish and Salvation Edge at top shit as of today, but WOTM is the GOAT in my heart.
For me, kings fall has a special place in my heart, I remember watching my brother beat it and we were so happy jumping up and down, I also love the boss battles in it, and I love oryx as a villain, for me, it is the greatest raid, but also great ranking!
I remember being in the race with my lfg on eater of worlds. We where behind by like 20 minutes, but after they beat it we kinda lost motivaation and for half us it was middlle of the night.
Garden of salvation unironically most fun raid. Tether mechanic is prob the best mechanic out of every raid. Problem is that they decided to make picking up gambit motes more important than the genuinely fun and new tether mechanic that required actual coordination with other players. If they just made tether more important in 2nd, 3rd and final encounter it'd be top tier. Also black garden is hands down the best location in all of destiny (PERSONALLY)
Conceptually its my favorite raid, and its the one I know the least about, I basically got my div and never ran it again, but I've been going back and getting all the raid seals, so I cant wait to play it more :)
Wow… I did NOT expect to disagree with this video as much as I did. Would have to replay the D1 Raids to get a real grip on it but dang. Only one I will say is I freaking love GoS lol. Great video as always though.
Garden had a lot of hate but the hate for the raid has begun disappearing because the things that made it bad are mostly gone. When it came out it was buggy and barely playable and the divinity runs made many hate it but now most people see it as a decent raid not the best but not the worst. His rankings however seem more difficulty based rather than quality I mean Spire is one of the lowest quality raids in Destiny history having even less quality than the first d1 raids it didn't even have proper loot being just re-skins and only being 2 legendary weapons. It only had difficulty and that's why I think this is difficulty over quality.
I am personally biased towards Wrath, I remember pulling and all nighter and blind running everything. The outbreak puzzle was so cool and the final boss room was probably the coolest set pieces I've ever seen
DSC is #1. Objectively. Fite me. In Salvation's Edge: we spawn inside the Witness' tower, climb it while solving random shape-themed puzzles, then we beat the Witness. The story packed into DSC, on the other hand, is too much for me to summarize without writing multiple paragraphs. Every encounter happens for a reason, and every traversal section is iconic.
I wont fight you, i agree with you. DSC has the best raid music by far. However but i will also say Vow is also close, could be #1 as well, even though i only remember 2 tracks now which are First Disciple (rhulk theme) and Harvest (Darkness Scorn theme, plays around the hectic 3rd encounter).
@@JBreezy_ Spire was the absolute worst of the worst. I hated the visuals of Crown, it looked like everything was covered in shit but the final boss fight was indeed fun.
@@hallfed Garden is just kinda boring, one of the prettiest raids they've ever made though imo. But Vex are just kinda.. meh, never been a fan of them.
DSC in top 5 makes me happy. Thats my personal favorite raid, that shouldn't be number 1 but is because nostalgia. Incredible loot, music, design, and its fallen enemies which is always a fun time. The next 3 are hard to choose. I really like Salvations edge, Vow, and Last Wish. I think if I had a gun to my head it would be that order: DSC, SE, Vow, LW. I didn't play Destiny until Beyond Light so I never played the old D2 or D1 raids.
I've played every raid at this point from D1 to D2 and I would put DSC at #1 because it's as close to a perfect raid as exists for the average player. The mechanics are a nice medium complexity that actually get people involved. The loot is some of the best looking ever in destiny and especially perks wise. Like even Bequest is still unbeaten in sword dps. The armor alllooks fantastic to. And the music... enough said. Also the lore that it added for Clovis Bray is just so so good.
@@oxsila The difficulty is perfect for newer/casual players. Its a great first raid. I mean RoN is a good first raid to drag someone through but DSC is a good first raid to have someone do mechanics in.
I've the same top 5 (minus Wrath bc I didnt play it; so KF in its place) but I have Salvedge at #2 and LW for #1 (razer thin difference) only bc Witness feels mechanically simple.
Good list. While I may not entirely agree with some, your points and opinions on why things are where they are is well laid out. That armor set you show in the video for titan during Eater of Worlds was the set from Leviathan. Titan set from Eater was the Nohr Suit.
I would love to see a raid ranking in terms of difficulty so new players who want to raid can get accustomed to mechanics and the team play that goes with it
Salvations edge is hard because of the teamwork part of it. I honestly think it’s a raid (with the right team) you can successfully do the way it is intended underleveled. This raid is NOT an LFG raid, specifically for the rescuing gaurdian part in encounter 4, there’s no bad guys, just call outs, and when it’s a bunch of strangers…. Good fuckin luck
My personal favorite raids in order are: 1 -King's Fall (either version) 2-Salvation's Edge 3-Vow of the Disciple 4-Deep Stone Crypt 5-three way tie between Last Wish, Wrath of the Machine and VoG Just me personally
I actually agree with your stance on OG kings fall because man was the last encounter such an headache with LFG at the time… Only had 5 clears in D1 whereas with other raids in D2 I have 38 for Vog.
I hope crown gets some sort of a remaster. The last two encounters are such a fun use of a fun mechanic and the final galran encounter is such chaos with callouts and mechanics. But yeah I genuinely don't have much memory of the earlier sections. I also like galran's right hand (the auto rifle)
Wrath will always be my number 1 even though it's only drawbacks is the loot imo since apart from ex machina the rest is mid and the heavy weapons is a joke. It has the best raid armour and it's not even close and the best raid soundtrack and possibly the best soundtrack oat and I could never get bored unlike salvations I just find it so boring it's not even in my top 5 it's probably like 7
For those hoping for a wrath of the machine remake, and say that they wont because of the Siva assets. The husk new dread enemy has a VERY similar feel to one of the more major aspects of Siva fallen. Coding that to be a little different + a change of style would not be that difficult i think. SO THERE IS HOPE
I might be in the minority but i realized why i love RoN, vow and salvations so much. I love the fact the "god" boss talks to you throughout your trip to them. Yes ron has some weak spots but i still enjoy the journey because of how he communicates. I love vow and my group constantly jokes about "the upended". I would love to have seen kings fall where we get a voice for oryx as it adds so much depth to the boss youre about to kill. If they dont communicate, i fewl like you lose a lot. Just me though
I actually came up a raid idea my own that has the winnower as the final boss and I call this raid Winnower's will Winnower's will has 8 encounters 5 of them are bosses 1 puzzle encounter like vault and verity wich is the 6th encounter and 1st encounter bieng like acquisition like encounter from vow and the winnower boss fight has 2 encounters in one room and before the 1st encounter is a entrance like kings fall and between each encounter except between the winnower and the queenswalk like encounter has traversal sections and really longs ones too
I will say I do agree w sweat that last wish is best bc all encounters are boss encounters and I feel like salvations edge could've rly benefited more if it had more or was primarily boss encounters
I’m so glad spire is ranked top 10 at least. I loved that raid so much even tho at the time I was a raid report nerd 😂. Spire was so fun and I agree its main issue is the loot granted in y1 loot was bad overall. If they bring it back they need to add an energy primary, another special (sniper, rocket sidearm or slug shotgun maybe?), and a sword and it’s got a standard loot pool
Yea, but it didn't feel that way initially. We didn't even get a full explanation of what the Veil was until well after the campaign. If not for the final cutscene of the Witness entering the Traveler, it could have been easily confused for a side story.
@@sandman1008 Sadly this is the issue with removing seasonal content. We learnt Neomuna was housing something important in Season of the plunder and learn what it is that's on Neomuna like directly at the end of Seraph but we're too busy with the station to deal with it. But now that the seasons are gone this is cut and now you just have some weird moment where we somehow know a bit of the veil and that it's on Neomuna before we go there.
Let’s be honest second half of CoS was some of the best high intensity action destiny has ever done. I am not a puzzle guy so I prefer action instead of solve this. So my opinion is probably far off from the res of the community but I have had a pretty bad experience with SE. the timing is too tight without a clan team. People quit way to quick and are just unwilling to adjust their playstyle for the raid. Last wish #1.
Wotm will always be my favorite. Great loot, great encounters, everyone was constantly running around doing something, it was so chaotic. You had the outbreak prime quest too. Plus the music slaps. Salvations edge is VERY close to being number 1 for me tho. The only issue with it is that the herald is kind of generic and the glaive and sword are just meh
I thought Ron was at least great for me, i wanted to day one a raid and RON was the first time ive witnessed a day one raid really, even after like 5 years of playing d2, i felt like it was the first raid to really inspire me to kind of just have fun in raids, even then it probably was the most easiest day one raid, i still felt accomplished that i did it day one.
Hot take, personally, just because of the pace my team was on until we hit Rhulk (we got only 1 error code, and I think it was super early, like we had only spent 5-10 minutes, and that was it) we didn’t think of Charged With Light w/Radiant Light strat, but legitimately were in Top 50 contention, and just didn’t fully optimise damage, VoW is my Top Raid experience. I don’t think I had a Day 1 completion up until VoG remaster (not even being toxic, my teams were too casual, or I just didn’t have a team on certain Day 1’s), so yeah. It’s been a rocky ride, that’s for sure haha.
@@andrewyoung8764 I don't think its a bad raid but playing it with blue berries has thought me the extent of human stupidity and I'd rather keep my neurons intact than having to run it again

I will die on the hill that Root of Nightmares is the perfect introduction Raid for new players. Also the loot is great.
Salvation's Edge:
Encounter 2 should have been a two subjugator bosses in the pit- strand and stasis forcing groups to split into two teams on DPS.
“Eater of worlds armour is perfect for my titan.”: *shows Leviathan armour*
I think the fact LW has 4 bosses vs SE 2 makes up for the aging of the raid. I also really just like the dreaming city playspace more than the one we got for SE. But those 2 are for sure 1 and 2
The only thing salvation’s edge did wrong was have underwhelming and boring armor that looks weird
Like every new raid since leviathan? Idk, they all look weird.
@@mylittledota4653 DSC has some the coolest armor if you ignore the helmet
@@FadedMaple07 I'd also argue that Titan raid sets have looked decent across many raids. Last Wish, Vow, Ron (Though the armor shades horribly which is why nobody uses it because why does it shade differently from every other armor? Even pyrogale which is an exotic version of the armor set shades normally), even the new Titan set is okay unlike the other 2.
he just violated crota's end remastered but i can see the chalice timer beign annoying for some people
Considering most of the raid is waiting for a timer, yes it’s pretty shabby.
GARDEN is one of the best raids EVER!!! Every encounter is different and the boss is beefy. The art is AMAZING too. Crown rated higher than GOS might be an ACTUAL CRIME.
Crown is much better than Garden, the loot sucks and its bosses are just very big enemies
Salvation’s Edge is definitely not high on replay-ability as an LFG player.
It's not very replayable with a team either. None of my friends want to run it. I don't understand why the entire raid is very hard except for the final encounter with the biggest bad which is.. easy? The balancing is so wack
@@Harrison-zc3hu plus with Excission, the Witness killing is not as fresh.
Neither is last wish,
Wrath of the machine holds a special place in my heart, it's in my top 3 definitely, It was my very first raid that I started and completed with the same fireteam (due to my personal life I never had the chance to play the previous ones in the right way, VOG and Crota loot was not updated with the actual power level so wasn't worth apart from the pleasure of doing them, and I played King's fall in chunks, every encounter with a different team), I loved the encounters, I loved all the bosses, I FUCKING LOVED THE SCORE (the tune that plays during the wipe mechanic still haunts my dreams and everyone who played that raid knows exactly what I'm talking about), I will never forget the feeling to having finally made it.
Last Wish and Salvation Edge at top shit as of today, but WOTM is the GOAT in my heart.
LW will forever be my #1, I don't care how many people disagree. LW was the most impactful raid I had ever been a part of.
Zip last wishes pants up when you are done over there buddy
It's a good raid but my god is it overrated
@@oxsila You probably have never done Riven Legit
For me, kings fall has a special place in my heart, I remember watching my brother beat it and we were so happy jumping up and down, I also love the boss battles in it, and I love oryx as a villain, for me, it is the greatest raid, but also great ranking!
I remember being in the race with my lfg on eater of worlds. We where behind by like 20 minutes, but after they beat it we kinda lost motivaation and for half us it was middlle of the night.
Puttin garden below crown is the "youre trippin as usual evan" moment that i knew would be in here somewhere
Where’s my garden gang at? We may be small but by god we try anyway
Here. 🙋
Wrath might be my number 1 but Garden is definitely on my top 5.
Craziest 10 Years of Destiny Ever
Vow will always be my number one. My favorite day one experience to this day, even though I didn't finish it.
Impossible challenge: evan tries to make a video without 85 ads, sponsors or merch promos
Salvations edge as #1 is a tough call. Considering its only been out for a very short time and has already been speed ran in 25 mins is kinda crazy
Bro just cause RoN is easier doesn’t mean it’s bad. The environment is pretty dope
The fact that Crown and Spire of Stars are ranked higher than Garden of Salvation is criminal.
Crown was fun but spire should be ranked 19.. like it’s that bad
@@JBreezy_ Spire was the absolute worst of the worst. I hated the visuals of Crown, it looked like everything was covered in shit but the final boss fight was indeed fun.
No gos is just worse compared to sos and cos
@@hallfed Who would've though evans viewers are also as dumb as he is
@@hallfed Garden is just kinda boring, one of the prettiest raids they've ever made though imo. But Vex are just kinda.. meh, never been a fan of them.
I’d like them to bring back vaulted raids. Never did Spire and Crown, and I miss my Leviathan and Scourge.
Out here repping GoS as my favorite raid still lol.
I’m so glad salvations edge is at the top since I have yet to do it
I've the same top 5 (minus Wrath bc I didnt play it; so KF in its place) but I have Salvedge at #2 and LW for #1 (razer thin difference) only bc Witness feels mechanically simple.
I feel like garden gets way to much hate for no reason, i think its mainly because of it coming right off of forsaken and then took so long until dsc
Mechanics are weird and don't work sometimes.
@@mylittledota4653 mechanics work fine you just aren't good at doing them
Titan titan armor at 3:40 was from normal Leviathan. I have it, never did the raid lairs after.
Yeah that was a weird mistake
Last Wish is still my #1
To this day, Argos is one of my favorite 2-part boss fights- the skybox looks amazing and the fight is pretty dynamic.
Was looking for this Evan. Never fail to deliver!
Bro eater of worlds was a raid lair, is unfair to compare it to full raid 😂
Good list. While I may not entirely agree with some, your points and opinions on why things are where they are is well laid out. That armor set you show in the video for titan during Eater of Worlds was the set from Leviathan. Titan set from Eater was the Nohr Suit.
Starforge logo looks like something else😂😂😂 1:28
Are you going to make the WOW players trying the destiny raids you mentioned on the side into a video? I would love to see that
yeah! It's a big time commitment but im excited for it!
You are like a whole separate community I've never encountered because so many of us don't raid
Vow as a raid, raw pound for pound from an outsider perspective should be #1 EASY
GoS being way lower than leviathan is just criminal.
I would love to see a raid ranking in terms of difficulty so new players who want to raid can get accustomed to mechanics and the team play that goes with it
Edge is so good it doesn’t have as many bosses as wish or kf but each encounter feels so meticulously designed
Having been at least 10 years of following Destiny content I haven’t actually touched any Raids yet because I don’t have friends
Garden in 15th?!? This is my favorite raid of all time! I love the scenery, weapons and armor! We love the giant harpy, I think it’s a cute boss!
Having spires as high as you do is nasty 😂
Og kings fall under both vog releases, leviathan, spire, and scourge is crazy to me.
My personal favorite raids in order are:
1 -King's Fall (either version)
2-Salvation's Edge
3-Vow of the Disciple
4-Deep Stone Crypt
5-three way tie between Last Wish, Wrath of the Machine and VoG
Just me personally
I actually agree with your stance on OG kings fall because man was the last encounter such an headache with LFG at the time… Only had 5 clears in D1 whereas with other raids in D2 I have 38 for Vog.
Rookie numbers
Wrath of the machine is my goat🐐
Remember Gahlran's infinite damage phase bug?
Imagine if that had ended up deciding World First.
Bro is trying hard for that Bungie paycheck.
"Jamie pull up those numbers for Salvation's Edge."
It has the best raid armour and it's not even close and the best raid soundtrack and possibly the best soundtrack oat and I could never get bored unlike salvations I just find it so boring it's not even in my top 5 it's probably like 7
There are so many raids I've never even heard of and I've been playing since D1 launch! Like where did they come from?
The thing about oryx fighting back is you're immune the entire time. It'd be difficult to make him fight back.
Nailed it. VOW & Last Wish are my favorite raids. But Salvations Edge deserves deserves to be in the top 3.
I really like RoN but it definitely deserves to be ranked below most raids
Leviathan's design was so good. The interconnected nature was the best.
Now we need to find a way to break shiro's Shield and do the puzzle by ourselves and beat vault and last wish is fully soloable on hunter.
Still think the majority of RON was supposed to be a dungeon
Wrath with forever be my favorite
Hey man, I have a challenge for you. Rank every strike in the both games in a video
I actually came up a raid idea my own that has the winnower as the final boss and I call this raid Winnower's will
Winnower's will has 8 encounters 5 of them are bosses 1 puzzle encounter like vault and verity wich is the 6th encounter and 1st encounter bieng like acquisition like encounter from vow and the winnower boss fight has 2 encounters in one room and before the 1st encounter is a entrance like kings fall and between each encounter except between the winnower and the queenswalk like encounter has traversal sections and really longs ones too
There are 2 many encounters, which means LFGs will not really play them, they will just trade CPs.
@@GeoGyf 8 encounters isn't that bad if they could play pantheon they will defenitly play this
@@catsgame9282 Yeah like everyone did the Master Raids hahaha. Yeah no, it was CP trade like no tomorrow.
@@GeoGyf they would play this
I will say I do agree w sweat that last wish is best bc all encounters are boss encounters and I feel like salvations edge could've rly benefited more if it had more or was primarily boss encounters
What's up with your merch store? Is everything out of stock already?
I’m so glad spire is ranked top 10 at least. I loved that raid so much even tho at the time I was a raid report nerd 😂. Spire was so fun and I agree its main issue is the loot granted in y1 loot was bad overall. If they bring it back they need to add an energy primary, another special (sniper, rocket sidearm or slug shotgun maybe?), and a sword and it’s got a standard loot pool
“Why are we travelling away from the main story of the game” going to neomuna is the main story to stop the witness getting the veil
Wrath or Edge is my guess on #1 let’s see if I’m right!
You should do that world of Warcraft thing but with Verity. See how long it takes them to figure out Verity
Ron bellow Garden is insane to me I don't think I've ever met someone who has done garden for anything but Div
You just haven’t spent enough time in it, it’s genuinely a great raid
@@andrewyoung8764 I don't think its a bad raid but playing it with blue berries has thought me the extent of human stupidity and I'd rather keep my neurons intact than having to run it again
