We have to appreciate the music coming in full force as the police officer screams, and in the next shot shes Already dead. Such a triumphantly scary scene.
Frankly, the one episode of season 11 that actually recalls "Doctor Who". Too many things changed, too quickly. The handmade Dalek is a nice touch (as is updating the bathroom plunger) and this one does move along better than most of the rest. And Jodie actually gets to play The Doctor. We will see if this past season should just be devoured by the Pting and season 12 will be better. Can you send Charlotte over here; loveliest Dalek since Jenna Coleman.
0:27 I love how the music gets all Epic, like they're expecting us to be shouting: 'Friek, Yeah!' at the ceiling, when in reality we were all just looking bored, glad the Daleks were finally back.
Think about it this way: the Doctor faced off against the Devil Himself, the supposed originator of all evil, without so much as cowering in fear. So when the Doctor says that the Daleks are the most dangerous creatures in the universe, and are the only creatures that the Doctor is truly terrified of, that says a lot as to how evil the Daleks really are. I can't help but imagine the Daleks encountering the Devil, declaring it to be an inferior being, and exterminating it.
The Doctor's been terrified of a lot of things at different times, and Daleks aren't really special in that sense. The Daleks are the only creatures that the Doctor categorically hates. Much more impressive achievement
What would have made a really good story would been to solely focus on the dalek creature being attached to a human and have the humans worst emotions be brought out have them start to enjoy being powerful and watch it corrupt them and show how bad humanity can be and how without our conscience we are not too far from the daleks in principal
The best episode of season 11. Josie's acting was on point, the Daleks made their first appearance for Thirteen, the side plots were good.....and I really wanted Lynn to go full Dalek at the end with the squid making her build two cases, but that might just be me.
Fun with Simon Better to be undercooked than forgotten. As a fan of classic Doctor Who, I am so happy we no longer see side plots go nowhere like we saw in Six Doctor episodes like in “Attack of the Cybermen” wherein these two human slaves to the Cybermen go through this labor camp jailbreak subplot just to do die at the last second, not even meeting The Sixth Doctor.

Kinda wish Ryan was possessed by the DAKEK in that way his father would have saved him from the supernova and apologized for leaving Ryan all those years ago to create a choice for Ryan to fight back and accept his father's apology.
@RDW Studios Don't get me wrong, I do love that scene, but I just feel that it was unearned and Chibnall has shown to write good character moments with his Broadchurch series, and although there have been a few small details in Series 11, like what you mentioned, I hope there are bigger moments in Series 12.
I hope that when 13 regenerates the TARDIS team is still with her and they don’t die. They just either stick around with the new doc or leave before hand.
I really like episodes that make the Daleks feel like a threat- Dalek, Journey's End, Doomsday, et cetera. This is a good way of doing that, I think I'll like this episode.
Agreed. I'm a huge Moffat fanboy, but his daleks were a bit hit or miss. Kinda same with RTD, although his dalek game was a tad stronger. If series twelve is all as good as this one then we're in a for a treat.
One Dalek vs 5 people and a TARDIS, yet the Dalek escapes hacks communication networks and still gets blown up by the Doctor. Can agree one of the best stories for the Daleks in recent times
This is one of the best Daleks stories. I like this one being ancient and possibly the first one to visit earth. I even like how this one has a evil laugh
What made the doctor think she destroyed all the Daleks? Last time few episodes they've been at war with the entire universe and the doctor knows all about it, so why is she all of a sudden like, "I can't believe its a Dalek? :0'
Because Chibnall probably didn't watch any of Moffat's Doctor Who and just wants to do more of what Russell was doing over a decade ago, except he isn't as good a writer as Russell so it's not the same at all
"No... it can't be..." "Doctor, I don't like it when you go quiet." Please Wayne, if this is in the script then there needs to be an uncomfortable amount of pause between those lines. I think in the second episode it's very obvious that the actors aren't given space to breathe at all.
So, cops in England say “Miles per hour?” Not Kilometers? And I don’t care what some people say, that Dalek was terrifying, even if it did look kinda Steampunk in its shell. I thought that was really cool, actually. I loved this episode.
13th Doctor: "This is the DNA of the most dangerous creature in the universe!" Graham: "Does it have a name?" 13th Doctor: "Mickety Mick Mick Mickey the Idiot! Wait... Sorry... Regressed a bit, there. Dalek, it's a Dalek."

Well, they even revealed who's behind the mask (the Simm's Master) early before World Enough and Time aired back in the Series 10 era, which also decreased the surprise factor.
mike walling bruh I know we love to hate Chris chibnal here but he is a good writer, before this he wrote some great episodes of doctor who and also fucking broadchurch, a great show by all accounts, and Jodi was in that and was fantastic so it’s not her acting that’s bad. Just some missteps with the new show and heightened responsibility paired with doctor who fans historic stubbornness against change in a show designed to change. The fandom hated matt Smith when he came on, they weren’t happy with Tennant at first, god 5 decades ago they were bitching when the doctor first regenerated “iT’s nOt ThE SAmE, tHe ToNEs all WrOnG” and so it continues every time something about the show changes, with fans always complaining and never seeing that this show is inconsistent tonally, characterization wise, and in terms of its writing. But yeah all that to say, I bet on a couple years people will love her and the writing staff. The same way people were apprehensive of Davies writing at first but is now hailed as a golden era of new who, or how we hated smith but were crying by the time he regenerated. But who knows maybe we’ll be picky and selective and ignore anything good the writing staff do like we did to Moffat who now has a following of hate despite also writing some of the. Best. Episodes. Ever, even working during the Davies era. I mean for god sakes he man wrote the weeping angels in blink and we treat him like he fucked a dog despite a lot of who fans agreeing blink is a fantastic jumping off point for doctor who
I think Moffat planned to do more with that before Smith decided to leave Doctor Who. Moffat was forced to immediately undo the ending of Asylum in the episode Time of the Doctor.
@@peterkorman77 Well I do think Moffat was trying to undo how R.T. Davies had made the Doctor into such a known quantity for his classic villains that even the Daleks were scared of him. And Daleks view Cybermen as pests.
Daleks would probably either wipe out Pting, or turn them into some kind of pet.
P'Ting would eat Daleks for breakfast. YUM!!
Although be interesting to see a modern take on a Raston Warrior Robot v Daleks. Would it's weapons penetrate the Dalek force field?
I love doctor who more than anything.
This season though was a massive disappointment
Loot the Llama that was only because of the writing but over all Jodie was an amazing doctor
I laughed so much when that woman said flippineck
Dull Guy if it was in real life she would have said
FUCKING HELL
Sounds like she needs a Techmoan mug! (If you don't know the reference, look it up on UA-cam. 😊)
"How are you spelling Daleks?"
Weren't you on Earth when the Daleks invaded with [planet in the sky
That got retconned by the universe rebooting.
@@cristian-ionutapostol8018 thank god for that. Can you imagine every human on Earth knowing about a dalek? Ut would be stupid.
People complain about the dalek being basically immortal. I never heard anyone complain about the living sewers below the dalek city.
IRIS Corporation come on, it’s not even vaguely the same thing.
@@eccremocarpusscaber5159 I do not think any organism would survive rotting like that.
Cam Bar Daleks were hardwired to survive at all costs- S9E2. Even if cut apart, even if rotted. Daleks are powerful enough to take on the Timelords! This is definitely believable from a race that invented things like Temporal Cannons (Weapons that erased it’s target from time.)
oh i complained. that episode was atrocious. i might go to say a dalek might never age. sure. maybe davros stopped that. but if you kill a dalek they are dead. also why the fuck does davros still have eyes?
Koba they were implanted fake eyes he had implanted to halp fool the doctor into trusting him

"....the Kandy Man"
This episode was definitely a big improvement from the series finale! The reintroduction of the Dalek was just magnificent.
Mike Paz I consider this story the finale. I don’t think that Episode 10 was a bad episode, just a bad finale.
Mike Paz Agreed. Chibnall needs to have the big villains in every series.
Stephen Murphy I wouldn’t overuse them, otherwise they could go stale like in Moffat’s tenure
If you want to see a proper reintroduction of the daleks, watch the episode 'Dalek'.
"Does it have a name?"
"Yeah the legend27"
I think you mean NoobMaster69
Hopefully this means the series 12 trailer is inbound!!! Because that would be brilliant 😁
Sean Wray at least another clip to go.
Sean Wray I really hope too!
next series isn't until next year which means trails drop in December at earliest unfortunately.
MissMieeka I’d say somewhere in October we get a teaser, a trailer in November a second trailer in December and then ads and promos till premier
MissMieeka the series airs very early in 2020.
The Daleks true voice is just as terrifying as it’s metal case voice
Watching this again on a whim and it hits me it's voice reminds me of Davros.
Her reaction when she realized it was a Dalek is so brilliant and truly Doctor Who! Can’t wait to see series 12 😊

The actor who played the lady the dales took over was so good. Like she blew me away.
Davros Oswald im confused. I just said I liked the actor.
3 years too late but i'll say it anyway, she's called Charlotte Ritchie
It's Alison, owner of Button House.

"No, _that's_ how dangerous it is!"
I met Charlotte Ritche on set! Really lovely person who went out of her way to talk to you no matter who you are!

Humans: "You would destroy 7 million humans with 1 Dalek?"
Dalek: "We would destroy 7 million humans with 1 Squid Dalek"
This is the best Dalek story we've had in a long time.
0:27 I love how the music gets all Epic, like they're expecting us to be shouting: 'Friek, Yeah!' at the ceiling, when in reality we were all just looking bored, glad the Daleks were finally back.
@RDW Studios K
If you want a yardstick to measure with, feel free to watch 'Dalek'.
Doctor: This is the DNA of the most dangerous creature in the universe.
Graham: Does it have name?
Doctor: Human stupidity.
What would have made a really good story would been to solely focus on the dalek creature being attached to a human and have the humans worst emotions be brought out have them start to enjoy being powerful and watch it corrupt them and show how bad humanity can be and how without our conscience we are not too far from the daleks in principal
I love that they used a car with a kph speedometer to make it seem like it was going faster than it actually was.
"Does it have a name?"
"Thanos."

GRAHAM: “If we can go back in time, why not just find Baby Davros, you know and...” *imitates strangling*
Stephen Murphy The Doctor: First of all that’s horrible

GRAHAM: It’s Davros!
The best episode of season 11. Josie's acting was on point, the Daleks made their first appearance for Thirteen, the side plots were good.....and I really wanted Lynn to go full Dalek at the end with the squid making her build two cases, but that might just be me.
Brent Dreher imo I really didn’t like the side plot with Ryan’s dad.
0:27 the new Dalek theme is honestly amazing
Daleks are terrifying. A Dalek out of its casing is horrific. A Dalek Scout having manufactured a new shell from scrap gave me nightmares for days.
I wasn’t able to have any thought except, “I have that bathrobe”
Companion:Do you have another enemies besides than daleks?
Doctor : Yes Daleks
The Doctor: This is the DNA of the most dangerous creature in the universe...

Kinda wish Ryan was possessed by the DAKEK in that way his father would have saved him from the supernova and apologized for leaving Ryan all those years ago to create a choice for Ryan to fight back and accept his father's apology.
Never heard of a DAKEK before, but it’d be neat if the Dalek did it
That would’ve been a much better conclusion. I don’t understand how Ryan just forgave his father without him actually doing anything to make amends.
He forgave his dad because it was the only way to get him to fight back fully
I suppose, but I feel that there should've been more build up to it than Ryan just having to do it to save him.

The new Ratatouille looks strange
So underestimated
Gotta admit, the image of that girl with the dalek tendrils coming up from behind her head is very Lovecraftian.
The most dangerous creature in the universe: "DoctorWho"
"this is the dna of the most dangerous creature in the universe" "oh shut up doctor, youre not THAT dangerous, except when you skip breakfast"
I really like episodes that make the Daleks feel like a threat- Dalek, Journey's End, Doomsday, et cetera. This is a good way of doing that, I think I'll like this episode.
I've only just noticed that the opening shot of the TARDIS is just a still image being zoomed in on.
Yeh they've really f'd this season as much as possible
Lazy as fuck, and looks so cheap. Which is a bit of a running theme with series 11
oh boy I’m ready to get crucified, here goes: this is one of the best recent dalek stories in my opinion
It's really not bad.
Agreed. I'm a huge Moffat fanboy, but his daleks were a bit hit or miss. Kinda same with RTD, although his dalek game was a tad stronger. If series twelve is all as good as this one then we're in a for a treat.
This is the best dalek story since Remembrance.
"This is the DNA of the most dangerous creature in the universe"
"Does it have a name?
...
Chibbers
This was a good episode and you can’t lie
What made the doctor think she destroyed all the Daleks? Last time few episodes they've been at war with the entire universe and the doctor knows all about it, so why is she all of a sudden like, "I can't believe its a Dalek? :0'
Because Chibnall probably didn't watch any of Moffat's Doctor Who and just wants to do more of what Russell was doing over a decade ago, except he isn't as good a writer as Russell so it's not the same at all
I hope the next season takes a turn for the good..... this season was terrible compared to what we used to get...
This looks great. Where can I view this episode?
"No... it can't be..."
"Doctor, I don't like it when you go quiet."
Please Wayne, if this is in the script then there needs to be an uncomfortable amount of pause between those lines.
The UK uses Miles per hour, from memory, yeah.
The UK uses mph instead of kph for some reason that has never been completely explained to me.
Most of us use imperial measurements for everything.
Best way to celebrate Nicholas Briggs’ birthday is to see his best performance in the show so far !
13th Doctor: "This is the DNA of the most dangerous creature in the universe!"
Graham: "Does it have a name?"
13th Doctor: "Mickety Mick Mick Mickey the Idiot! Wait... Sorry... Regressed a bit, there. Dalek, it's a Dalek."
Doctor Who’s version of Venom.
or maybe venom is just Marvels version of the mutated kaleds that are inside their travel machines as seen in the 70's Doctor Who Genesis of the Daleks 😉
I think that if they hadn’t included the « EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! » at the end of one of the the trailers, the live reveal would have been even more exciting.
On another note, happy birthday Nicholas Briggs! May you voice the Daleks, the Cybermen, the Zygons and the Judoon for many more years!
Well, they even revealed who's behind the mask (the Simm's Master) early before World Enough and Time aired back in the Series 10 era, which also decreased the surprise factor.
Doctor who is pretty epic I hope the new season is even better than the Last!
lol
Abigail 227 They’re bringing the Cybermen and the Judoon back so it most likely will.
@@stephenmurphy2212 until they scrap the writers no... it wont 🤣🤣🤣
mike walling bruh I know we love to hate Chris chibnal here but he is a good writer, before this he wrote some great episodes of doctor who and also fucking broadchurch, a great show by all accounts, and Jodi was in that and was fantastic so it’s not her acting that’s bad. I mean for god sakes he man wrote the weeping angels in blink and we treat him like he fucked a dog despite a lot of who fans agreeing blink is a fantastic jumping off point for doctor who
@@captainkiwi77 ill pass on reading your wall of text, this is UA-cam not a fucking letter, the writing was bad this season end of lol
I thought we were dealing with Cthulhu Mythos territory judging by the thumbnail.
I never really understood The Daleks 'forgetting' The Doctor back in the 11th's time if they were just going to immediately remember again.
Timy-wimy. Also Davros survived and he remember him, Rusty met him.
This Dalek pre-dates that.
It probably remembers the 4th Doctor from 'Genesis Of The Daleks'. Possibly from a bit after that in Dalek history.
I think it was always the plan that they'd remember him, only that it would be just enough to know the Doctor was an enemy.
This episode was really great! And finally we got som more scenes from the Tardis.
WE NEED THE SERIES 12 TRAILER NOW🥺
Probably next month. Series 12 looks like it’s coming February, so October would make sense to start promoting it.
@@peterkorman77 Nope, series 12 is coming January.

I thought the most dangerous creature in the universe was supposed to be the Doctor.
Just in my opinion for continuity the Dalek should’ve joined with the human to make the dalek human hybrid again from New York that was seen in Tennants era

Liam Catterson *Symbiote Dalek*
Years of thinking she was free of the Daleks? They were literally in the episode where she first appeared
Uh, the Daleks were not in The Woman Who Fell to Earth. And as for Twice Upon a Time, she regenerated in the TARDIS and that's it. She never saw them. This the first time Thirteen has seen them.
Ian Miller I know that, but the description specifically says it’s been years since the Doctor has seen the Daleks. As you said 13 has never seen a Dalek, so it must be referring to the Doctor in general. There’s no way that Series 11 took place over multiple years, so I’m calling bullshit
I’m guessing they enjoyed Venom.
Yeah. I can't believe I didn't notice the similarities.
