The Paradigm Daleks aren't shown enough. Wish they weren't hated by so many. When they were first revealed, I thought they were really cool & the fact each Dalek colour was a different class of Dalek was also cool & something we haven't really seen in Doctor Who; I still really like them.
Coloured Daleks have been around since the beginning, so I never had a problem with that. The basic proportions were off; the hunchback/fat arse profile was all wrong, and anything supposedly contained in that rear unit was never even shown deployed to justify it anyway.

If anyone running this channel is in contact with Russell T Davies, please tell him to bring the Daleks back! Ncuti is long overdue an encounter and we haven't really seen them since 2022!
Agreed! We got to see in the Christmas that this Doctor can have a bit of a mean edge when it's for the good of other people, I think it would be great to see him face off against them.
@@AndrewChapman As far as televised serials go, Five only faced the Daleks once - in Resurrection of the Daleks. One Dalek did appear in The Five Doctors, but only Susan and One faced that Dalek. (In contrast, The Five Doctors was crawling with Cybermen.)
Dalek " We are looking for the doctor! Do you know him?" Doctor: "Of course I know him! He's me.....Hello there!" (in his best Alec Guinness impression).
Totally want to see a throwback episode where Daleks were actually created as AI assisted home robots, intended for household chores like cooking, cleaning, and minor repairs such as clogged plumbing.
John Barrowman/Captain Jack is young there 11:31. Techno-blooper Doc. SONAR doesn't work in space......so Daleks can't be avoiding sonar. Sonar works on the principle of echo-location using sound waves (under water). The above-water equiv is RADAR which would work in space since its radio waves, not sound waves.
Yeah, especially after having a break the last couple years. Wonder if they'll redesign the Daleks again or if they'll still use the bronze ones since 2005.
Exactly. Like, we haven't seen in over two years which is pretty long for the modern era... We've had them appear properly in 2005-8, 2010, 2012-15, 2019, 2021 and 2022 with cameos in the following years (2009, 2011, 2017 and 2023 but it wasn't in an episode)
The Doctor Who commitment to making the Daleks a serious threat is commendable. In terms of writing and practical production, it's kind of difficult to work with clunky robots with only a plunger and a "gun" ... like writing Cars, where each car is very limited in what they can actually do. Furthermore, Daleks are a bit short, so making them scary and imposing is even more of a challenge, just in terms of the camera work. Given these difficulties, it's not surprising that the Daleks are particularly iconic in science fiction and fantasy. Anything like them in Star Wars or Star Trek? I'm not sure, but I don't think so. Everyone else looked at the writing/production problem and figured it wasn't worth the bother.
