Ya manfor sure and shows how most of these youtubers basically are doing a full time job while producing a movie about what they do that's a lot of work
Whenever I need to bend thick sheet, I cut a slice on the inside of the bend 70% deep, bend and then weld the inside. Makes for a perfect outer corner and inner weld, no cleanup or grinding needed. =)
Shoutout to Donut Media for recommending your channel a couple years ago in a video. I've enjoyed the videography, the drone shots and the editing, the music is superb, the fun having and sending it, and bending it. And the BUILDS!!! The craftsmanship that is put into the custom, and often entirely hand made parts is what sets your builds apart. It looks like you guys and girl have actually started a little empire, a growing business employing yourselves, and the future for the channel and the other channels is only gonna be even better. 1.3 million subs. That's a lot. That's significant, and you should be proud of that. Thank you for the awesome content, and continued sending.
I have to hand it to you Ethan, you literally post the only UA-cam videos that I don't skip the commercials. I'm quite the anti-commercial kind of guy. But I still watch yours.

In no particular order GHPC, Mighty Car Mods, and BoostedBoiz are my favorite youtubers in terms of quality video and audio production. Any motorsport channel with loud engines needs to balance voice, engine, and music audio volume so we don't have to constantly turn volume up and down. Balanced audio plus crispy videography and top notch editing are what make a video great, regardless of the type of content. For that reason I like seeing how the best channels make their videos, the behind the scenes stuff is great, keep killin it and Grind Hard!!!
These are great! Definitely do more of this stuff, maybe more regularly on the second channel if you don’t wanna clog up the main. A few ideas I see a lot in the comments would be how you source parts, like online shopping and picking donors.. Scrapyard and material gathering, trips to the junkyard and how to pick out good scrap and metal worth using. (This one is mostly for Edwin) I see a ton of people ask how he makes the music and stuff like that. I think more of these BtS videos could be successful! We come and stay just as much for you guys as we do for the projects! Sometimes I wish videos had a bit more Edwin in them and more discussion about how and why you do certain things, your thought process helps us all to learn WHY you’re doing stuff. I’m all for it! Loving the new crew dynamic and looking forward to the successful future of GHPC!
Yeppers! IMHO this was a really good and interesting video. I thoroughly enjoyed the insight into what you all do daily. As Always, May God Bless you and yours!
I love watching you guys make stuff you have inspired me to start fabrication it is great to see people make things without a big fancy shop and all the tools love watching you guys keep it up 👍
Agreed on the comment about snow… although I much prefer summer for getting the bikes and cars out, waking up to a fresh dumping of snow puts me in a great mood. Just need to build me a little snow bike like that to have some fun in that white stuff!
Edwin, you lot and N. Idaho seem a fit made from solid gold. IF you get to needing a topic, telling the tale of boys that went from toddlers to what you are would be a great telling. Something tells me your folks are some outstanding sorts too. Merry Christmas!
Awesome to see behind the scenes and how you guys have built up the channel. The content is always getting better every one has played an important part to bring it to where it is. Just awesome! - Long time viewer and subscriber from Australia
I've had some success myself with the origami fab method. You can lightly hit the tabs with an angle grinder to make them easier to bend. Don't remove too much material though otherwise they'll all break away when you make your bends. Also you can temporarily reinforce the pieces being bent by sandwiching and clamping them between heavier gauge steel before you bend them to prevent warping.
In our shop, we use a similar technique to bend metal like that in a pinch. Your home made tool isn't too bad. However, the whole thing would have worked better heating it with a torch. If you do that, you can distribute the bend better with horizontal angle iron. But, most importantly.... heat is your friend when bending in a vice.
I’ve been a follower of your guys’ channel for a while now and I love to see the progress you guys have made over the years. So awesome to see you guys supporting local businesses being a Sandpoint native.
New mantra: "fold it, bend it, weld it, sent it"! Awesome seeing behind the scenes thanks guys. Hope everyone is keeping safe and well, no more flu going round 😉
The scrap from the fire truck might be worth a good amount of money if it was smelted before the first nuclear tests. Then it would be low background radiation steel which is needed for some scientific instruments.

@@GrindHardPlumbingCo hope he good now ,did catch up on some of your back catalog. Really like the work you guys do,i would love to be there a muck in with you all
I like the Origami fabrication method. You might be able to save some time cutting individual pieces, but its definitely more entertaining for us, and we get a better understanding of your vision from seeing the entire shape before bending.
Nothing wrong with a bit snow especially when you've got awesome toys to play in it👍tip 2 bits of angle iron in the vice on the bend keeps it from warping

Surely you know that heating the bends with a propane or map gas torch will allow the uncut metal to bend rather than stress fracture alomg the path of least resistance, the cuts... Doesn't require cherry red but hot enough you don't want to touch it barehanded or with anything less than welding gauntlets...
