The “real reason”. Because in today’s America it’s always about finding the one culprit. When it’s usually a recipe that causes disaster. Let me guess. There’s a reason NCAA football playoff games have multiple perimeter check pints and security and you can’t get within a quarter mile of the stadium for the Superbiwl without tickets and multiple security checks. But for some reason, for soccer we’ll have fan events right near the gates for ANYONE with or without a ticket….in a city that has over 100,000 Colombians! we’ll also serve tequila with bars outside near the gates. and allow tailgaters to roll in without tickets get tanked . It’s as if the organizers called the stadiums and told them they want to play some soccer games and the police, security and stadium officials pictured soccer moms and mini vans. Like what? This should have had the same type of security they do for Super Bowl etc. yeah the fans are to blame….blame then ! That won’t solve the problem and prevent them from creating chaos!
